WoWhead Devs, in the DragonFlight Talent Calculator for Hunters when you pick marksman or sruvival you have NO base talents in the tree even though your supposed too. Marksmanship gets Killshot in the tree baseline and Survival gets Kill Command. In the first version of the tree put on WoWHead it was correct but now it is incorrect please fix this.

When registering for Premium on the site with uBlock Origin enabled it seem to strip out a ton of the scripting. It was all white with all the stuff on 1 screen. Quite the mess. Easy solution to fix it on my side by disabling it, but could effect others who might not know better as it's quite "rare" to hit sites that end up having issues with ublock on normal day to day usage. Just thought might be worth checking see if it can be changed up.

I wish the site would remember that once I've clicked to close the Wowhead weekly video, that means I don't want to see it on any other page I visit, either. On my desktop I have Privacy Badger installed, and that prevents it from loading at all (sorry! 😦 ) but on my iPad I can't prevent it so I have to close it on every page I visit. Isn't this overkill?

What browser did you try and then move to? Edge should work pretty sure it's just a customized version of chromium. Might be good to include a bit more info so they can take a look into it.

Also notice from the screenshot you got errors, at the top right. Might just be login but make sure not also update, errors, etc.

I used it earlier on Firefox and it worked perfectly. Now however, soon as I open the dressing room it breaks the webpage and makes the entire of firefox sluggish. Frustrating as Firefox is the only browser I have installed currently(well Edge is technically installed because it can't not be atm but has never once been opened).

Seems to only be the beta dressing room that does it, the Live and PTR dressing rooms both load and function normally. I can get the Beta Dressing room to load correctly, if I open it in Live/PTR first then switch to Beta mode, but as soon as I select Dracthyr as the race, the tab completely ceases up and the entire browser slows until I close the tab or stop it loading.

Should make a dressing room style feature for dragon riding mounts, let us choose our dragon type and customize it, then at the bottom like visible for talents show the glyphs needed with how to get them beside them.

Okay, begging staff for a reply here, but figured something out. Turns out despite the site being /wotlk and the majority of the javascript being wotlk, the domain needs to be set to =wrath for some reason, and the only part of the script that uses that is for domain, with wotlk used in the rest.
Was this an oversight you are now going to fix with this knowledge or is it intentional? Gotta edit alot of code so don't want to do it twice

That's a "bad ad", they're more common with in-app browsers. If possible always open the site into a full app browser. Regardless, screenshots like this are helpful and if you can report the ad via the tri-bar on the top left, scroll to the bottom of the list and click 'Feedback' and select 'Advertising Issue' it can help us to track down these problems. Keep the screenshot for when/if we respond asking for one. Though I hope to be able to have you all include a screenshot someday in the future.

There are some clearly wrong tooltips in the new M+ dungeon guides. For example: the tanking guide for Grimrail Depot in the "Notable Dungeon Features" section talks about an item, but then shares a spell; The first boss section talks about a boss ability but then links the Garrison Herb Garden upgrade tooltip (?). I haven't checked all 32 guides for broken tooltips, but it might be a good idea to do another editing pass over them to ensure all tooltips are accurate

The recent change to the Wotlk talent calculator is a big step backwards in usability. My screenshot shows the new talent calculator page on page load, with the old positions of the talents and glyphs overlaid in red. Some observations:

  • With the old layout, you could immediately see all relevant information for a spec on loading the page, no scrolling needed. With the new layout, you can't even see the full talent setup without scrolling down, and the glyphs are off screen completely.
  • With the new layout, its impossible to see all the talents AND all the glyphs on screen at the same time - you need to scroll between between the talents and glyphs.

This is proving to be really annoying when I'm comparing between a lot of different talent and glyph setups, and significantly increasing the time it takes to do so. Please consider changing it back, or modifying the new layout to 1) ensure you can see all glyphs and all talents on screen at the same time, and 2) ensure that all the talents and glyphs will be on screen when you first load the page, without the need to scroll.

It's not always apparent to a single individual with a particular use case why things were changed, but on the whole these were improvements in responsiveness for the overall community whom visit the talent-calcs at different resolutions, or on different devices. Apologies if these changes are an inconvenience in your case but hopefully the suggestion(s) by Fel and Spaten will help. Thank you.

Hey there, I'm having an issue with the wowhead item finder
I was using it from start of the day for some researches with always the same options as :
Sold by a vendor "no"
Source type "drop"
Added in expansion "Cataclysm"
Bind on equip "yes"
With those options, I tried to see Two-Handed Axes or maces and it looks like it does the same on every other weapon for cata
I used this options before on more than a thousand items and fifty or more requests without any problems and it does only now on those weapons ^^"
I saw that when I get "Sold by a vendor : no" from my options, it seems to work pretty fine, I'm just not sure everything is only lootable and not buyable to a vendor
I wanted to know if any other person had some problems like this one or am I the only one ? Thanks you

Hey, is there any easier way to ignore people in article comments?

I can't find a button for that on the comments nor people's profile page.
In the past I know that I got a block option by reporting them, so I just tried that workaround again, with a message explaining it wasn't meant as a real report, but the "Other" option, or maybe doing it on mobile, didn't give me the block user prompt afterwards.

So instead of having to spam more reports to try and find this feature again I figured I'd try asking here first, in case it does not work on mobile at all or maybe you could tell me what option allows me to block people I just don't want to see in the comments anymore, even if they technically didn't break any rules.

And maybe I'm just super lost.and there is a normal block feature I just was unable to find,that'd be great too. :3

There are a lot of reports of the Mobile AH displaying one price when you buy an item, but it deducts thousands of times as much. The mobile support forums are full of reports. It got me for 750k, and I have some screen shots showing it. If possible an article may save a lot of people a fortune. I have already put in a ticket but don't want to see more people hit.

Our next development cycle we'll have to devote some time to the tooltip bot anyway because it will need to use slash commands as of the end of the month. We were not granted an exception to allow the bot to continue reading messages for the brackets [ ]. So, some changes will be coming on that front.

I'm aware it has limitations, but there's real use problems when I do searches for one-word abilities and turn up results that are not even close, with lots of extra words. Now that the bot has slash commands, it'd be cool to develop an extra option to force an exact match to a spell that's toggled.

We can't tie things to Battle.net like you're suggesting, we can't require them to provide their private character data in order to provide any sort of benefit (per Blizzard's policies).

It's just an unfortunate reality of the internet. Bots/spammers find ways to bypass things, even in Discord you can't do anything in here until you verify a phone number and bots still manage to do that or get around it somehow. They even get around CAPTCHA sometimes...

It's been really nice being able to type tbc. into my address bar and have it autocomplete to tbc.wowhead.com

Now with Wrath Classic, I have to fully type wowhead.com/wotlk in. It's pretty inconvienent in this day and age, it may seem like a first world problem, but not having a proper subdomain but having one for tbc is a bit of a headscratcher.

How does the Active World Quests tracker on a page like this work? https://www.wowhead.com/item=124124/blood-of-sargeras I can see some of them (WANTED: Shara Felbreath, Supplies Needed: Dreamleaf) but not others (A Draught of Hope, Withered Wrangling) I can see some Nightfallen WQ's in Suramar, but not others. My rep is neutral with them.

I use ABP and Malwarebytes Browser Guard for a long time not only for the ads but also for the tricky ads which lead to malware, I have Bitdefender previously but since this account is only used for personal so I use the Microsoft 365 Defender as a default stack for anti-virus and anti-malware

From what I understand, Blizzard changed the way talent positions are stored internally and thus the site mentions every single talent as having changed position, even those that haven't, making the change list borderline unreadable because most talents reported as changed aren't actually changed

For me, logically, if you ended up using a server-wide command it should change settings for all channels, regardless of if they had a customized command for that specific channel in the past. I may be misunderstanding the mechanisms involved though.

You don't even have to use the false command though, if you don't use it, or don't have it true, I would think it would just assume channel only.

Just wanted to say this guide is a bit mistaken. It requires NOTHING to start except 77 and "They Took Our Men!" which has no pre-req. This page says stuff about a 60 step long chain.

Specifically it says "This quest line requires going through nearly 60 quests in Storm Peaks before this quest line even opens up. Be sure to follow all quest lines out of K3 and follow where they take you. This will involve side trips to the following places, where you should do all their quests:"

This is all entirely unrelated. You can walk into Storm Peaks, grab the quest for the goblins, and get on your way.

You can get around this though to make it work... for example visiting https://www.wowhead.com/item=41610/deathchill-cloak#modelviewer:22+0 show should Worgen Male

If you're viewing something and it's not working, make sure you picked the right things in the drop down (i.e. Worgen, Male), once it reloads as female again, try reloading the page.

It just gets stuck or swapped around with what male/female is, reloads should fix it temporarily until you start switching it up again.

In the Dragonflight Talent Calculator Annotation mode, would it be possible to embed a key of what each color refers to?
Additionally, shorter URLs would be very appreciated if reasonable. They start getting really lengthy for discord pins, especially annotations with lots of things selected, and I don't think it's reasonable to expect people to blindly click URLs from arbitrary link shorteners.

So, this isn't easily done... we've talked in the past about adding Wowhead link shorteners. We might do that in the future but it's not likely to be soon. Further, adding a key would increase the URL length even further, triple if not more. It was actually in our original plans but because the URLs already necessitated extreme length we cut it. For now all I can recommend is what you already mentioned, ling shortener services. Presumably your Discord user's will trust links you share with them.

@teal dragon it MIGHT be worth mentioning if you or others feel like testing it in the future.

Ive had wowhead cookies accepted for a long while now, but-
recently I installed an addon called "I dont care about cookies"
It shouldn't effect already accepted sites but, I DID go into it and whitelist wowhead on the cache clear right before it (the dressing room) started functioning for me again.

However it WAS functioning before I did that too, excluding dracthyr.

ye sas did a quick check with task manager, the dressing room loads for 2nd time when you refresh the page
and at 3gb says k bye

this is prob a more general bug, or a chrome future

invalid query string loads correctly, I assumed using incognito local would handle any local caching issues but the CDN edge node idea makes sense and could be a reason why someone in a different location can't replicate

Blessing of Kings doesn't seem to affect stamina properly in the gear planner. Kings add 11 stamina over 2331 and Sanctuary is adding 256 over the same value

WoWHead is currently still missing all sources for herbs, mining nodes, fishing pool locations and mobs that drop skinning reagents for Dragonflight - e.g. which mob drops it, location of mob OR reagent, spawn location(s)

Thought I'd add in. I did a cache wipe and it did not resolve. Everything as far as optional add-on pieces works fine. (Beards/hair/scales) But none of the base face options load.
