Uh... ye no problem. But again... if you chose the right size and power level of heating mat and place it correct, there is 0 reason for a thermostat and also no reason for it not to be a great choise. Its just using the product correctly. Ofc you check the temprature in dufferent spots to make sure its all good but then thats it. It then just works. Not much putting a thermostat between it is going to add to it. Heating mats are great. Easy to create a warmer side that graduatly goes to a colder area in the terrarium, they use way less electricity then heating lamps and the risk of the animals burning themselves on the lamps is gone. Just keep an eye out on the temp ofc if its summer. Then you either just unplug it, only let half of it sit under the tank or just replace it with a smaller or lower power level one. Safe, cheap, easy to use and less eletricity used.

I just use one of those terarium IR thermometers to check the temp on all different places in the terrarium, sellect the right size and power mat and play around a bit with the placement under the terrarium and with that i can create the perfect temprature. Gives me more controll over the temp then heating lamps. No need for thermostats that way
