I wish I could get regular sleep. This kitten has kinda eaten a part of my sanity with how much sleep he takes from me (I'm high anxiety, any noise wakes me up, and when he picks on Boo it makes me mad enough I can't go back to sleep).

It's Boo crying out that makes me upset. My subconscious hears it and bolts me awake.

He'll also sneak up on and attack sleeping Boo...that one really boils my blood. I grew up around extremely abusive adults who would attack me randomly and while I was sleeping sometimes so...it just cuts right to the heart of me.

You just have to remember he's a kitten and he's really just trying to play and figure the house out. When boo gets fed up, trust me, he'll put kitten in his place.

I have a cat that is a chill old man cat that isn't bothered by anything. He used to let our old dog drag him around like a stuffed animal by his neck. Our current puppy gets a little rough and he turns and gives him a right smack.

All cats have their limit but they give kittens a little more leeway, they understand they're young.

Newgate has taken to YELLING right in the dorrway to the bedroom then plkaying loudy in the hall and on the stairs then coming back and yelling again because he wants me to get up and play with him.

I have started sleeping downstairs so he doesn't do that

Appreciate you trying to help. I can't control the anxiety and C-PTSD responses, especially when I'm in a state of (light) sleep, but I can try to understand better at least so maybe I can get back to rest after it wakes me up.

If he's a young kitten, try feeding him wet food before bed. Lots of food and kittens tend to fall asleep for at least a couple hours lol

Or, if you have a kitty fishing pole, run him around with it for like 15 minutes before bed, it can help settle him down for at least a little while

We do wet food for din right before bed. I'll try to talk hub into helping with pre-bedtime play more often.

Hope it helps. Thankfully they're only at the evil kitten stage for like 6mo to a year, then they at least learn to settle a little (hopefully you get lucky and it's more than just a little)

Lol I do the kitty squish if they get too noisy. I catch them, place them on the back of the couch, seat of the couch, or bed, then lean over and lay my head/chest over them til they flatten to the bed. It calms them for a minute and I always give scritchies at the same time, so they are good with it.

Is there any stairs item in the game ? Looking to rotate out of dergree per degree my buildings but I cant its only 90° rotations.

You can turn the stairs at I believe is 5° angles if you open the extra menu. Or does that not apply to stairs?

Well first of all you need to upgrade at least your first altar to the maximum allowed level in order to have enough space to work on if you have plans that big. Then you can place additional altars to border the first to enlarge your area.

it's best to make a normal small build, nothing super giant, but something you like enough... beat the game, and then go nuts building once you've beaten the game :P

You are automatically allowed 10 altars but to enlarge your build area you need to max level the first one and the rest can be expanded with simple upgrades. The first one requires finishing a few quests to get the ingredients to level up the altar.

Right after placing my first altar I went after the ingredients to level it up rather than upgrading its area.

they're not worth leveling, debatable if they're even worth inserting. It's not like it's bad to have a gem. "Every bit helps" but they're very skippable, could remove them entirely and not much would be lost

so far I just use a gem of burning so my fire weapons feel firey, not cause I need the damage

I wish that the torches had an intrinsic fire gem in them.. let me set enemies on fire with a torch!

Well now you’re in a different game. I mean why do they only make sense building / lore wise if I can use them to buy fishing poles and bait and fish fillets. It’s all there already spending them on crab cakes and fried bananas shouldn’t be a leap.

If I need a health potion and not enough drak teeth I should be able to buy them. What good is an alchemist without an inventory.

Would be awesome if each gem altar had a coin style vending machine next to it that way I could use coins to buy archaic essence. 😃

It's funny though, they just can't go into the shroud right, so whats stopping them recolonizing a place after we defeat everything in it, or like if "well the enemies come back after some time" then why can't a village defence scrnario pop up and we gotta save em all!

The notes u can find describe many people doing almost all of the same things we do (except for going into the shroud) so there has to be some competent people out there in the game world. Even using gliders for traversal was a fairly commonplace thing

Managing Saves

Transferring Saves:

Rolling Back to an Older Save:

I made a cool fishing shack with the woven blocks and bamboo windows and doors. It’s small with a loft bedroom overlooking a lake but I have the fish grill and the scaffold with ladder is my dock. Surrounded by palms and every flowered plant available. Sandy beach with bamboo chairs, side tables and umbrellas. Lots of trophy fish on the walls inside. Tiki lights everywhere.

Okay, let me explain. In my scenario, a 'gear set' mihgt be better described as 'gear slots.' In a game that recently abandoned us, so we abandoned it, there was the ability to purchase 'gear ssets,' which were player configured presets of gear. Push a button, change your gear out. In said game, the "gear slots" didn't count against inventory.

Weird question for ya... there are, by appearances, things like wall pieces that have inside and outside..... well..... sides to them. And when we rotate to build it looks like every 180 degree turn, the same side is still facing us. Anyone else notice this?

Not really. You can try shifting one block over, but thats about it.

If you are going for perfect symmetry it will be difficult with certain blocks because they react so differently between X and Y

How you layer and detail your build will help though. Example: rough cut stone openings on one side will appear rounded while square on the other. Annoying but if you add a proper window it will be far less noticeable, adding an awning could also help, once the blocks intersect with others it will likely change slightly too.

I always suggest people spend some time experimenting with various blocks before diving super deep into building so you can get a sense of these nuances and plan accordingly!.
