The InstallServer.sh script on PR3SIDENT's github calls on apt, which I think is Ubuntu-specific (or, at least, doesn't work on Bazzite)

You can make it work using docker container (or Podman) within any linux distro. But performance might be not ideal, as Enshrouded Dedicated server was made to run on Windows native, not within container - so take this with grain of salt.
It works, but might be not behaving same as running the server on Windows OS directly.

Happened to me in past. It was steam client issue and clearing steam cache solved it for me (found that tip on some forum and it worked).

Doh! Yeah, that's the risk of early development games. An update or patch may break them. Best bet would be to go to the mod site and see if you can contact the person that created it

I have been having an issue trying to join multiplayer . I have tried being the hosting/not hosting and either people cant join and the load screen continues or the load screen just keeps loading for me. I tried to get a server thinking that would solve the problem - it did not. I verified that the versions were the same. Anyone have any ideas on how to get multiplayer to work properly? The error i was getting with the server is that it was full when there was only one other person present ( yes I checked passwords too ).. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled.

No, I haven’t found a work around. I’ve been all over Google, Reddit etc with no solution. I found something somewhere in Reddit about a major update causing it to break because of some loopback — but I also feel like that’s not right because I’ve played with other people since this update bc it was 2 years ago?? Idk. It’s just been an issue with me within the last 6 months for me. I gave up back then and thought I’d try again. I’ve sent in feedback/tickets about it.

i'm not sure if this'll help you at all, but i did a bunch of troubleshooting today and the one thing that seems to have worked for me is disabling cloudflare warp. if you have something like that or a vpn, maybe try turning those off and see if you can load into someone's server

why enshrouded server performance is so bad? having more than 4 players playing at the same time causes stuttering... server hardware is more than good
