@tepid wadi new facebreaker is so cool. Def gonna league start it
Uhh yeah thats perfect for my full phys monk. People are talking about how its "hard to scale strength with hollow palm" but like.. you need strength for all the red gems you want anyway, so its basically a "more damage" modifier which is insane by itself for a glove slot.
I would suggest NOT league starting anything that relies on a unique though.
Lol fair, the in-game trade system does make that WAY easier.
It’s jaw dropping

my rant on subnautica 2
space engineers 2 can be a proper sequel, because they added water, which means a new building medium or motivation to make builds for + new biome to explore. Space engineers 2 improved the graphics 3x, add more PCU count, improve building mechanics, so across the board it's a new game basically, even if they reuse old ideas.
subnautica 2, feels like i am playing 1, and i already beat 1. and it doesn't look visually better by memory at least. i don't play 2, and immediately remember a graphical improvement over 1. i'm sure there is an improvement, but it's just not memorable to me. so to me its just a content update, with some qol... it's hard to be excited about it, unless you never played 1 before. the original subnautica 1 did everything already. you can't make a new game out of something that was already good and did everything lol unless you were a failure game like space engineers.
space engineers 1 wasn't even a game, and if 2 copies it, then 2 wont be a game either, it will be a sequel tech demo
for subnautica 2, big deal if its a new planet and you get a new resource from hitting a different plant, is that what you wanted with a sequel? like come the flip on. it's fundamentally the same game, just some more qol in the building system, which is what i wanted in subnautica 1. but i guess they were limited by the engine.
space water?
I mean the fact it natively supports multiplayer makes it different experience
New graphics, QoL, multiplayer, new engine for $30 sounds good to me.
i think the devs missed the mark with subnautica 2, they probably should have designed a totally new alien world that looks and feels drastically different from subnautica 1 or below zero. but they wanted the familiarity and the recyling of mechanics and the fundemental structure of how the game works, rather than designing something new from scratch. this game doesn't come across as a proper sequel to me, as more than 'this is subnautica 1 as it was intended if we had better technology/more money/better engine' it's a remake of the same game with a new story to me. and therefore as a previous player it's not exciting, since it's hard to improve upon a game that was already good. other games can make sequels because there is tons to improve upon usually. but here subnautica 1 did it all already and mostly did it well. the only complaint i had from 1, WAS the bad and limiting building system with prefabs, and 2 obviously corrects this. overall i played 2 for 78 minutes and closed the game. i will play tomorrow, and probably for an hour again, it's not really a game that keeps my attention for 6 hours straight, but it's not bad either, especially as an alpha release which obviously will be limited. i think changing a resource you get from a plant, redesigning some plants or fish, adding some passive skills and even a good story, is still not enough for me to feel like this is subnautica TWO. compared to an improved subnautica 1.
nah if you played 1 this game isn't exciting
and the coop only means the social aspect is more exciting than the game, the game just facilitates that.
solo i can play 2, for 1 hour at a time, in coop i can play it for 4 hours
but it's how long you can play solo that speaks to how good a game is in my eyes
Yeah. I didn't play Subnautica 1 that much but im enjoying my time so far in 2
I also dont nitpick nearly as much as you
Im not into solo survival games so the fact that 2 has coop makes it infinitely a better game
Not sure why it doesn't come off as a proper sequel which is still in EA
Curious if you nitpick other genres this much.
Like im wondering if you would have the same issue with Diablo and its sequels
I think you're also missing a pretty key element. For some people, literally all they wanted from 2 was another new world to explore with new progression and gadgets and wildlife and biomes and story. There could have been zero QOL improvements and people would still love it.
its probably an exciting game for a new player like ticonz
not for me.
Its an interesting demand to have a game be different for sequels
Yeah, and that's fine. You also may not be that core audience that just wants "more subnautica" from a seuqel
they made it a new planet, but it doesn't actually feel different from 1 or below zero to me. and this is part of the problem for me, though i plan to continue playing. but as a returning player i am not blown away. now yeah maybe that's because this is EA, but also i think the fact that the devs always think a sequel needs to feel "familiar" otherwise people wont like it, actually worked against them in this case, and the devs should work hard to differentiate the biomes in this game from previous titles.. make them feel REALLY alien.
there are changes, but they seem to be surface changes. like i said, adding passive/active skills, or changing the design on tools or equipment, or fish, is doing new skins in the same environment. instead of getting quartz from here, you get quartzs from there now. instead of getting fibre 1 way, like fiber mesh from creepvines, now you hack a plant in 2, and get a different fibre or whatever. it's just the art style in general. they needed to change how the environments fit together to really make it feel alien. and even go further with awkward looking fauna and flora. look at the game abzu, it's also an underwater game but it looks totally different.
this is why i asked if this is just to this genre or if it applies across the board
It may also be that you haven't gotten far enough for the differences to really show themselves. They're going to start a new game in an "easy" biome, and things may get more different as they go along.
imagine having to completely change your game for other genres like racing
Forza Horizon 1-6 all feel familiar
not sure, i am picky about every game, i think thats been obvious
they are just set in different locations
but i didnt have too much of an issue with titan quest 2 sequel
the graphics there are noticeably improved
which is interesting
i think there was more of a major jump in graphics from 2006 to now versus 2014 to now
but even then.. graphics are definitely noticeable in difference between Subnautica 1 and 2
2014 to now i will notice
subnautica 1 is 2018 though
so maybe less noticeable by memory
i am sure if i load up subnautica 1 i will refresh my memory
and then the difference will be obvious
maybe i should do that 😛
subnautica 1 EA was in 2014
like... its different.. lmao
Subnautica was released in early access for Windows in December 2014, macOS in June 2015, and Xbox One in May 2016
yeah i see
it could just be you dont like UE5
i dunno.. it looks good to me XD
i just loaded Subnautica 1 to see the diff

@timber prism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfyoJYCRNMo Chronomancer changes looking reeeeeal nice.
Ascendancy balance changes are coming to Return of the Ancients.
⏱️ Chronomancer gains new notables
💎 Gemling Legionnaire now receives additional effects from Skill Gem quality.
My starter is still probably Martial Artist, but I do love Chronomancer in general. Reducing the points needed for time freeze and snap is amazing QOL. Basically doubles the power of the ascendency.

so sad 😔 is very very sad how Bungie he threw away a truly magnificent masterpiece....
99% Done with my Nissan FR-N !
Wow that's amazing, I've never understood how people make this kind of stuff with the livery editor in forza games. When I tried to use it it felt so clunky trying to make stuff with all the preset shapes 😅
🤔 like 10? Frieren i imported it from Forza horizon 5 so it was ready.
Both Frieren are about ~1800 layers of circle...
I don't remember exactly how many hours i took back on the day but probably around 15 each...
There is an app called Forza painter that will do all the work for you.
Yes, if you want to get banned..
It will break down any image and then you can import it to FH5 and then to FH6
No one is getting banned
I use the transparency on a photo and "paint over it"
You can import it in game!
They changed how vinyl grouping works so you need to share it from 5 to get it into 6
I know, that's how i got Frieren
I had it in fh5 and now in fh6

its really a lot of fun and tons of content. Scratches that Skyrim itch very well but has enough different that it doesnt feel like a complete copy.
I loved TG:FoA - it was epic. Still need to go back and check out the FDLCs they've been putting out
Yeah, I've owned it because I bought their roguelike game when it originally came out. I just haven't been in the mood for single player RPGs lately
1 week to go and the patch notes have been posted

all these people who want to kill in subnautica 2 are weird
the game is fine without the ability to kill fish
i made a long list of you are wrong points for these killers
- you are playing scientists, not commandos.
- if you want to kill, ask for a 5th character, commando, who has alternate story line, and it would be a harder game mode. why? because commandos don't know how to make their lives easier with tech, they aren't scientists, they only know how to kill.
- killing is a preference choice, not having it doesn't make the game bad. just like it's many players preference not to kill. this is a creative choice by the devs. once the creative choice is made, you decide if it's implemented well. are there alternative ways to disable annoying creatures? etc. non lethal option? befriending? stealth mechanics?
- many skill based games, have no kill runs. arguably not having killing, makes subnautica stand out more as a game. every game has killing, it's not something LACKING in games... especially survival games, so not killing is what is unique, and should be preserved.
- killing wastes time, and would give no resources. a stun/energy weapon would one shot disable a predator, and you could go back to exploring immediately. killing doesn't often 1 shot in games, you'd be wasting time fighting which is not the purpose of the game. exploration is.
- nothing in this game can kill you except o2. you get 2 health bars, 1 with a vehicle, and the vehicle health bar can be infinitely repaired. why should we be able to kill things that can't even kill us?
one guy was like but we should be able to ram fish with our vehicles rofl
i wrote this:
the game doesn't allow fish to be gutted inside your tadpole propeller either. because there is such a thing as too much realism. i see no reason why a tadpole would damage or kill fish if you run into the fish. fish should realistically be faster than your tadpole. the tadpole is slow, and small fish would maneuver out of the way. big fish, would break the hull of your tadpole. so the whole argument that vehicles should ram fish breaks down pretty easily when we speak about realism.
zerax i still think i am right on every issue
lol
i dont even like this game, not sure why i am defending it, since the devs seem to not want killing either
actually the game grew on me, but i still think they could have went wilder with the alien planet looking more alien. its obvious they chose familiarity intentionally, most people dont do a sequel and not choose to remind people of the first game, since its super risky.
i think i dislike coop survival games, for the most part
the coop is always out of sync, coop in a sandbox is basically still a single player experience, and you also get exposed to bad personality of your friends. who are impatient, run off, do quests without you. makes me wonder why people even choose to play with other people if they lack basic human decency and consideration 😆
i'm just reflecting on all the coop experiences/games i played, and i disliked every single one. no one waits, and does things as a group. people unlock story or items, and then you're busy asking what did you do, where did you get that?
you couldn't wait 2 minutes?
you couldnt give me a heads up you were heading out?
another game i played, barony, had the people i was playing with just constantly running ahead looting things, as if it was some speed run... brooo play alone. in that game you need loot to have a semi workable character and survive. end up getting thrown scraps that the guy who looted everything didn't want.
i've yet to come across any considerate person to play a coop game with. they are all selfish, impatient, want to solo/speedrun, lack communication skills etc.
i guess the problem then isn't coop games, it's humanity. feels like people have attention issues too.
I mean you dug for negativity on a game with good reviews on steam
it's just subnautica 1 still to me
saying the game is 1 isn't negative
but i expect more from a sequel
i dont want to FEEL like im playing 1 again, i want the world building to blow me away and be unrecognizable from the first game.
I meant more things people are saying about the game
things people are saying is they want to kill fish, which is way dumber than what i said
i have an actual point
they just have a preference
Can someone explain to me the drama around subnautica 2?
Here's the TL:DR play by play:
-Krafton buys Unknown Worlds
-In the buyout contract, there is a clause that if Subnautica 2 releases before EOY 2025, Krafton Pays the UW team 250 million dollars
-Krafton regrets that clause existing, looks for ways to make sure that release doesn't happen so they can avoid the payout
-In the process, the CEO asks chatgpt for a way out of the contract
-Krafton ends up making up reasons to fire the leadership for UW.
-UW leads take Krafton to court saying that their reasoning is total BS
-Lots of back and forth, as most court things go
-Judge decides that Krafton MUST reinstate the leadership for UW, and extends the duration of the buyout clause for the duration the UW leadership was ousted for, plus like 9 months
That's the main drama.
If you're asking about stuff in this channel, Valourant just wanted to see more differences from S1 in S2, and feels like it's not a very good sequel because it's too similar.
Largely players love the game though.
and the game has sold over 4 million copies so Krafton gonna have to pay.
Oh thanks for the explanation!
Yes i mean the drama around the game not on the channel!
Yeah there was some level of success needed for the payout, but it was super obvious that Subnautica 2 was going to hit it, and Krafton didn't like that.
Many of Black Flag Resynced’s best parts come courtesy of the Ubisoft Anvil engine, last seen in AC Shadows. It’s been used to recreate Black Flag from the ground up, and that allows it to be every bit as beautiful as more recent Assassin’s Creed games. But it's also got a few head-scratching omissions. now that i played the game its a good sequel, but only because of the ways subnautica 2 is different from 1. meaning it only emphasizes my original point. imagine if the devs really went out there with the style/artistic design of the world. so that it feels nothing like the first game. and was truly alien feeling and looking. i know everyone says but new fish, new plants... but the visual style is the same as the first game imo.

Oh. Heh. I'm in the "Other Games" channel. I didn't notice. lol
Here....... another game: 37,000 feet over central Australia.
I hate to tell ya, but there ain't no way that's central Aus. it's WAY too green.
I hate to tell ya, but it was actually closer to Kalgoorlee in Western Australia headed to Alice Springs. So, I exaggerated a bit.
And now I'm over Nanya Arid Zone Research Station headed to Melbourne.
It's a tour at my 'virtual airline.'
Sydney - Brisbane - Cairnes - Darwin - Port Hedland - Perth - Alice Springs - Melbourne - Hobart - Adelaide - Sydney.
Flyin' the wings off this 737, I tell ya.
I can't get a pic of the ground this time. It's dark.
7 PM, don't ya know.
I lived in Kalgoorlie for about 6 months when I was a kid. My dad and brother worked in the nickel mines there. Still too green I'm afraid. Australia is a brown dead rock surrounded by coastal green. Anything interior wise is going to be brown/red nothing.
@nova mango
Hell yeah, well done!
To be clear, thats Fuyus design, I just downloaded that rn to drive around and show it off

I wish it was on another car tho

Its Japan, I drive around in japanese Cars in free roam 😅
Thinking about it, I'd totally slap the Enshrouded symbol on my IRL car as a bumper sticker.
Keen is German !
also Keen Motorsport sound like a real racing tema lol
Ikik, but still

First the social post and then the DMCA takedown for the logo

Jkjk
nop! i asked the permission!
😂
Really, i asked Toast if was okay to use it!
I don't think Keen is the type to act on that sort of thing even if you hadn't. It's too cool (and you aren't selling it for $$$)
exactly but i still ask the permission!
So next step is to bring the Enshrouded Mobile race at the Nürburgring 24H in 2027 ! @finite saffron It's on the budget? 😄
lol
we need to beat the dacia logan!
I looked up how much it costs to host because I was curious and... no, definitely not in the budget 🤣
😂
Not to mention I don't think there's any way we'd make those 10s of millions of dollars back. Not a great way to spend the marketing budget if you're not a car company I imagine
We need a go found Me!
how much it cost to enter that race? 😲
i believe with ~1M euro we will be fine, if we don't crash the car 😬
A car for that race alone costs more

depends in which category you want to race.
Somewhere between 10k and 50k, plus the equipment, plus the car. And you need the license to drive this event
If you pay for the gas, tires and everything else ima go drive around that track in my 2017 128hp Ford Focus
Cruise control to 150kmh and go
i think gas is the last of our problems 😂
Entry fee is also 8k
we need to beat the dacia logan that race the 24h !
Bargain
It's not millions like someone assumed.
My car can't really do much more or it'll explode lol
Dang it. If someone paid for this I would drive this in my Opel Meriva family car.
Don't expect me to get first. 😅
Someone gotta pay for the Enshrouded Mobile Vinylwrap too tho.
i follow you with my dakota 2003 😄
And around 15 to 20 sets of tires. That's what Google said. 🙄 But I believe that's for the high performance cars.
Not my Meriva.
Next year i would like going to watch the race with my friend for the whole weekend
That's much cheaper. 😂
Tickets start at 68 euro.
And I believe my Opel is capable of reaching the Nürburgring. (Easier than competing at Nürburgring).
this year i really enjoyed the race, i was a bit sick with my back so i moved the sofa in front of my pc and next to the TV. Playing FH6 while watching the race on the tv, i watched 16 /24 hours lol
The full experience
Yeah, X-Plane's a little generic on the ground textures. 😄
