to be honest , I always go mage so I don't really have swords and that kind on me , just a wand and staff xD , so I don't have those problems , I would recommend to everyone just make a electric mage , go all the way in the shocking skill tree and boost it then with battle mage for the wand , and also trickster to have those heal/mana/stamina orbs , and into the survivor tree take the orb skill that gives a bit more mana/heal/stamina for every orb

because now my character has to be wet, which makes this gem useless for 90% of the content. it makes it useless for all regions beside the new one and future zones that don´t feature water. next thing i have to give myself a heavy debuff for a small dmg increase and if no water is around i can´t get wet myself. they should have kept it like it was and remove the self wet condition

Some doors do, and some doors do not. But there are two specifical "portals" that you can place that are wide open but don't allow water to flow through them, so you can build an underwater entrance if you want

ok get ready for a wall of text. First i have no problem with the fix of the bug. bugs have to be fixed, but not every time is fixing a bug the better solution. Sometimes you create a funny game experience and then you can decide to keep it, which is my opinion here. The gem gameplay felt much better before the patch. Now i have to prepare and carry several tools to make use of it, which is not fun. also referring the multiple weapons comment i was referring the knightrider buff too. As a knightrider buff you call a special gadget/skill/tool etc. that has a very limited use. In the 90 series knightrider the car kid got a special upgrade in each episode like:"we coated kid with a paint that endures high energy laser beams for 10 sec" and he got lasered in this episode for 9.9 s and then never again. So what i see here is that the use of this gem now becomes so niche that it becomes completly useless, because the requirements are hard to reach especially in old and future content, i have to deal with a hefty debuff and only get a minor dmg buff in return. Did you get my point now?

I think people mistake player concurrency as too much of an indicator of success. This game is not live service, it doesn't need a gigantic player base, and Keen has done a successful job of selling the game.

A lot of folks do EA initially as a measure to see if this is a game they want to come back with and play at release, and then not come back until 1.0 releases. I suspect we'll see a lot of that here.

As for the connection to wiki versus player counts, I dunno about that. I think it's just a matter of expectations by players to think wiki's get automatically updated.

For me personally, it's just a matter of patience. There's a lot of advancement in the modding capabilities that are also providing better data mining, so is starting to help out wiki information.

But when did games go from "hey let's spend time and explore" to "I need a guide for everything so I can rush content in 20 hours"

The biggest key here is that Discord, while yes devs do probaby notice some of the conversations where, all of their backlogs and analytics are off of their ticketing system and featureupvote... so if you really want your voice to not only be heard (by folks here), but also count, using those systems is the way to go.

Check your video settings. This game does demand higher end video resources if graphic settings are set too high. That could be what you're having. Also check into the #troubleshooting channel for direct help from folks who know more than I on that.

If anyone was crazy enough to play Factorio with the Krastorio 2 and Space Exploration mod's... The new updates to Factorio draw a lot from those mods, and the developer of the Space Exploration mod, actually helped write the Space Age part of Factorio now.

Water is seemingly misbehaving now after the patch. My base is constantly flooding from seeming no obvious source. I've checked all of my features and can't find the leak. Everything was fine before.

Waters going to likely be an ongoing balancing act, i think people are going to have to be ready to adjust as the system continues to get refined. It def was far from perfect at launch from what i saw. It seems like the patch notes address a lot of issues, albeit people who went all in on using water will have some fixing to do lol

Tbh would be funny to have a Questline revolving around crossing areas of the Shroud with it up, or having it open up points of great corruption.

How does the co-op progression quests work currently?
I think that when the game was launched. Only the server host had the main quest line and could progress it.
Not sure if the other party members would even have info on the quests and receive the loot.

From what I can tell:
Flameborn quests are server/host decided (can't desync I've been told)

Embervale quests can have personal progression tracking (on by default) in case you want to do them yourself personally

Lore pages are never synced

I believe you can look up in the journal where you found a certain lore page to help a friend find it too

if you disable personal progression, you'll have access to whatever others have unlocked/done. But you can still re-activate it and go do it yourself (I don't like this myself, I want my quest log to stay clean if I choose not to track personal progression, rather than ending up with a list of missed quests)

Fwiw performance drops seem to always occur with big updates, but they get hotfixes and then it works better than ever. At least that has been my experience.

920+ hours in-game. I am perplexed. I have spent 3 days killing "random" fell enemies to try and find a specific material drop called Shroud Adhesive? I have no clue where to farm this other than knowing it's "supposed" to drop off of Nomad Highlands enemies, yet... shrugs to no avail. Anyone know where's a perfect spot to go and find that stuff? I fear NO monster... only fear of NOT getting new materials to work with! 🤣

man i hate having free will to build, want to build a final end game place in the new biome, but i havent beat the dragon yet, and its top of the map so i have to rely on tps to get around, but its the place with the largest body of waters...... mmmmmm

Yeah.. I was like "I have 1652 hp, nothing can..." what the f... just happend? I sit down, get back rested, eat and drink foods, teleport to the spire, spend 3 minutes gliding to the spot (It's the level 50 gem shrine in the shroud north-west of the the spire), get my corpse and I die again in a second or two when it bites me again.

she handles all the preparation and work for those expeditions and supports heavily im combbat

Pretty sure at my current itemization only the HH cyclops can one-shot me with the straight sword slam and the Fell Stalker in the shroud. Not even the Death'sHead from the Scythe mini insta kills me anymore. It shaves off like 800hp

I prefer solo, but this last update is like "we want you to play with others so we're going to make it too hard for solo players." I'm feeling a tad salty over this at this point. But I'll keep dumbing-down the difficulty if that's what I have to do.
