I straight up can't send any pictures of files even text files, no matter the extension. If I drag a file it just shows as blank and when I try to send it it tells me something went wrong. Weirdly enough I just found out that if I copy a picture e.g. from a browser, not as a file it works. It used to work properly some time ago, dunno what changed

They'll be clickable if you use the AppImage build of Vesktop. I actually noticed this is an issue with some other Flatpak applications as well e.g. Thunderbird
I lost that functionality a few months ago back when I was on Arch, started with vesktop-bin then eventually started migrating all my applications to Flatpak/AppImage/Distrobox (before making the change to running all my apps in containers.. Atomic Fedora ❤️) but I didn't correlate that using Flatpak was the reason notifications broke. I actually don't know if it's something Vesktop can fix considering Thunderbird has the same issue and they've been aware of it for years apparently? Probably just a limitation of how Flatpak handles the notification xdg portal

I have seen many vencord support people respond to this exact issue already, they all say wait for an update. --- vencord probably stores settings in discord cookies so literally just clear cache and cookies from discord.com in your browser

There is an issue with vesktop that does not occur with Vencord. When I put Vesktop into, like, half-screen mode, part of the screen disappears, inc. the chat-bar. Chat can be cut off partially. Having member-list on can help or worsen the issue depending on other factors.

I've been attempting to do screen sharing on garuda sway (arch). Having tried installing vesktop through AUR and flatpak, when I click on the screen share button, the client crashes in both instances. How do I find the issue?

Important to add, it got as far as to reaching the tab/screen and resolution option menu when having vencord installed through normal means (script on existing discord installation). Clicking next resulted in an unspecified error. I'm not sure as to how useful this info will be.

Vesktop window seems to be stuck on first start. Can't alt tab into it or click to open at the bottom taskbar, upon manually closing and reopening (not exiting entirely, just recreating the window) it behaves as normal. This only seems to happen if hardware acceleration is turned on, if turned off vesktop will open correctly on first start as normal. This is on an AMD GPU running arch linux with KDE wayland. On my t480 using an intel igpu (also arch linux with KDE wayland) this bug doesn't happen. Issue is present on a clean install of the official flatpak and community binary on the AUR.

Why is my Discord laggy?

The most common cause of lag is poorly written CSS.

To see if this is the case for you, try temporarily disabling all themes and your QuickCSS.

If that indeed fixes the lagging, you'll have to figure out which theme / part of your QuickCSS is causing the lag.Just slowly remove parts of it until it doesn't lag anymore.

Forcing XWayland by running WAYLAND_DISPLAY="" flatpak run dev.vencord.Vesktop in the terminal works as well

The same technique can force other apps to use XWayland instead of native Wayland, which can fix some issues

okay more looking into it, the stream cuts out for them when they tab out of discord, and after a bunch of restarts and reloads, it eventually will show up with a bunch of graphical errors (screen is super dark and messed up) and then suddenly it works until it decides to stop working again
