Hi, I'm experiencing issues with the FakeProfileThemes plugin. Whenever I use a valid 3y3, Discord crashes with a React error #185 (maximum update depth exceeded) for all my friends that have Vencord + the plugin enabled when they open a text channel in a server i'm in. Disabling the plugin fixes the issue. The 3y3 string itself is valid ([#RRGGBB,#RRGGBB] format), so maybe it's a conflict between the plugin and specific profile decoration/effect combinations (I didn't managed to identify which one).

I don't really know either the only thing i did was to put the 3y3 character in my bio. I just tried to know where does the constant crash from my friend came and when I disable the plugin (or remove the character) on my side it stops for them. It never crashes on my side tho. I guess to reproduce it you need to have FakeProfileTheme enabled and be in the same server as me and open a text channel (i only tried on small private servers tho so maybe that's why it dosen't crash for you)

hello, I just downloaded vencord after hearing about it, and I was having a problem with streaming.Basically, vencord does not detect some application's audio.For example, when I watch a video on firefox and I stream it, the app detects it in audio sources, but when I play on Ryujinx (the switch emulator) and try to stream it, it does not detect it.Does anyone know how to make vencord pick up its audio (btw i'm on linux mint)

I have a strange issue...
I run Discord on cachy-os and tried to re-apply the patches to the discord app, as it is already patched.
However, when I try to do so am I getting this:

had the same problem on debian 13

sudo rm /usr/share/discord/resources/_app.asar

and patched /home/me/.config/discord using the tool
it should rename /home/me/.config/discord/app-1.0.138/resources/app.asar to _app.asar and adds the patch to a copy of app.asar automatically

works like a charm

I think from version 1.0.136 and higher, on arch based distros, discord doesn't get installed into /opt anymore

I use copy media link to copy emotes occasionally. But there's no option for copying the link for emotes anymore. Did discord remove that feature and can vencord bring that option back or do I have to use the fake nitro plugin now? There's also a plugin for copying the emote markdown link but that's not what I need since that doesn't work without nitro and I can't change the size of it either

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Im having this same issue, it persists across clean reinstalls of both discord and vencord, Ive also faffed about with various versions of the asar as well as using open asar, and faffing about with other files and trying to disable the updater without success

for anyone else reading, the actual issue at least Im experiencing now is that vencord will install but upon subsequent launch discord will force an update removing said patch, behaviour only started after discord updated to stable release 545858 f8ff359, Im on macos but have also replicated the issue on a windows machine after the same update, Im probably going to open an issue on github after I replicate it on a linux box...

is there a way to edit/change the favorite emotes in the discord menu? when you right click a message? theres an emote in there, that shows up, but when i click it to apply it, it immediately removes itself from the message i applied it to, the :emotehere: code for it no longer exists, and it wont let me replace it at all, i tried setting the same emote with the code/name it appears as, but it refuses to save, or let me use that. and i cant delete that old emote either. thats the emote, i tried to replace it with a cloned emote, and using that same name/code thing, but it refused to save with the ~ and just saved as azuhehe1. idk what to do. (if this is a discord issue, and it likely is, theres no way im getting any help from them, discord doesnt bother helping people)

When using FakeNitro to share screen at 1080p, both GPU 0 - Video Encode and GPU 0 - 3D are not properly released after closing the stream. GPU usage stays elevated until Discord is fully closed. Even Ctrl+R does not fix it.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have FakeNitro enabled
2. Start a screen share at 1080p
3. Stop the screen share
4. Check Task Manager → Discord still shows high usage on both GPU 0 - Video Encode and GPU 0 - 3D
