Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

I found a great quick css that fixed all the issues for me, my only problem is if I move the checkpoint flag and the mailbox icon there https://i.imgur.com/6sJzTXO.png which by default on this quick css was floating below. I edited it with :

    --vr-header-snippet-top: -45px; <--- was 0 by default ``` with -45 it is correctly in place but I can't drag anything it seems like the header is pinned on top of the checkpoint flag and with my fix it is out of the window 🙁 anything i can add to my quickcss to fix this?

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

My themes broke and now I can't open settings or disable them

open the dev tools with CTRL + Shift + i (Cmd + Option + i on MacOs) and click on the "console" tab at the top. Then paste and run (with enter) the following code.

• disable custom css (you can turn it back on in Vencord Settings)
• copy your current theme links to your clipboard as a backup

I've managed to enable onboarding without necessarily meeting the requirements, but that required using an older version of Discord that didn't have onboarding so as not to be restricted... Some colleagues of mine said it's possible to bypass this using code in the console...

How to update if you can't update via normal means

Sometimes Vencord might break or crash and make it impossible to update via normal means. Here's how to fix it!

Discord Desktop

Use the Repair button in the installer. You will not lose your Vencord or Plugin settings.

Vesktop

Right click the vesktop tray icon > Repair Vencord.
If you don't have a tray, you can run the following script in devtools (ctrl + shift + i, then click on the console tab and paste):

Userscript
