I just did some debugging, it is definitely a vencord update check thing. When acknowledging (denying) the ssh key request, this error is associated with it

fixing the error not being parsed as JSON, looks like it's because it's trying to run git fetch to see if there are any updates! All looks good then, but I think it would be good to mention

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

hey guys I'm having trouble with the showHiddenChannels plugin. it works fine on most servers but on some there isn't a "show all channels" option when I right click them / open the server settings tab. I did try to search and see if anybody else reported this but I couldn't find anything. photos are of a server in which the setting does appear and one where it doesn't. on the ones the setting doesn't appear it shows me everything without a way to turn it off (aside from hiding muted channels probably). I did remove the plugin to make sure I wasn't allowed to see some channels and I was right in that it was the plugin showing me those channels, but now I wanna turn it off for that server since there's way too many and makes it annoying to navigate.

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Hey there, not sure if this is the right place to report a bug? Since update 1.6 the --start-minimized flag looks to have been removed in favour of a UI toggle which is cool, however this UI toggle doesn't seem to work on Arch Linux (or maybe just Hyprland?). Would it be possible to implement the flag again so that users can either use the toggle if it works for them, or revert to using the flag like before?

I am having an issue with FixYoutubeEmbeds. I have tried loading a particular video with the plugin enabled, and I receive an "Error 15"; with the plugin enabled the video loads up to the "Blocked by UMG" but no farther (since of course, blockedvid+no plugin=blockedvid). If I disable YoutubeAdblock and leave FixYoutubeEmbeds enabled, I still get the error 15. Now, I was able to track down a verrrrry similar error in another youtube related github repo, and this was the recommended fix in that codebase :

The YoutubePlayerParams origin parameter default value is https://www.youtube.com.
Redefining this to https://www.youtube-nocookie.com will allow it to function correctly.

So, I think based upon that that if the plugin is in an environment where tracking cookies are blocked/unusable, the youtube identity verification thing is going to mess everything up (by assuming you are underage/cant view the content/thats what it defaults to I guess), but somehow changing the domain from youtube.com to youtube-nocookie.com gets around the identity verification error even though it still cant verify. So, if in the YoutubeEmbedPlugin you change it from always running location.reload() when it detects the error div, you could instead try to detect if any tracking blocking plugins are enabled, and optionally reload with the url modified to use youtube-nocookie instead of youtube. Something like this should work (I could even submit a PR if you want, I'm just not very well versed in javascript so I'd want to make sure this isn't somehow breaking everything first). Id also be willing to write the code and test it locally, im just not sure how to self-host a plugin into vencord so i can do local testing to get it fixed.

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake

Hello. I have a very specific quirk I'd like to ask about. I'm a moderator on a server that hosts people from all over the globe, so the translator plugin is extremely useful. However, it has trouble with Chinese (Traditional). It does not recognize the language if the translator is set to Detect Language. "Translated from" must be set specifically to Traditional for it to work. Chinese (Simplified) works the same as any other language, but when using the translator in our Chinese channel, where members are speaking in either one or the other, switching back and forth between the two is burdensome.

We tried DeepL. It was bit laggy and there were some inconsistencies with how languages were labled in the UI that made it awkward. The issue I'm having isn't with Google Translate. Once set specifically to Chinese (Traditional), it works just fine. But having to switch back and forth between Detect Language and Chinese (Traditional) to understand what everyone is saying is extremely inconvenient. That's my only problem. The plug in just doesn't recognize Traditional until you set it to that language specifically. Google Translate on the browser recognizes it just fine, so this leads me to believe that it's a plug-in bug, not a flaw of Google Translate.

Been looking through the server to see if I was the only one having this but it seems this issue has happened months ago? For me every pronoun for every user in every server I was in would just load automatically but now I have to click on their profile and only after that the pronouns will show up in chat.
