For some reason, since I got vencord on my Mac, the discord app hasn't been making the notification sounds. Specifically I noticed that the same-channel notification has been silent. I am sure that it isn't any of my audio issues as everything else is fine including opera with vencord extension. The notifications are on for discord app.

If I remove the extension, and ctrl+f5 chrome, it starts working again, but every time I start the browser up again, the extension just doesn't appear as an option, or work at all.

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back

With Vencord on the desktop app I don’t see the timestamps anymore. On the browser, where I don’t have Vencord, they show up again. I’ve got a few plugins installed, I can send screenshots of them if needed.

I have a rather specific edge case, which I would like to fix. Since I am German, I use umlauts like ö, ä, ü and ß daily, but since I also use vim daily, I decided to switch to the us keyboard layout. Since it's not that easy to write umlauts on the US layout, I changed again to the EurKey layout, which effectively is just a keyboard layout with more characters on it. It's based on the US layout but it includes umlauts with different keyboard shortcuts. Now the keyboard shortcut for writing the ö (ctrl+alt+o) happens to be the same as the shortcut for the devtools of the experiments plugin.

Long story short: is there a way to fix that or to change keybindings for specific plugin shortcuts?

Seems like Discord is still running in the background. Make sure you close it fully. It will most likely be in your tray, but if not you can use your Task Manager to force close it. After that, you should be able to install Vencord properly.

Hi. When i use the fakenitro plugin, my discord default theme automatically changes from "Onyx" to "Dark", every time i switch accounts or close discord and open it again. oh it's too simple to the point where it happens by just using the plugin normally 💀 it even happens with few pinned DMs like less than 5, but it happens most often at 10+, I never had more like than 15 pinned DMs at once, which is almost a full 1080p screen's height, which is also about the amount of DMs that get hidden as u scroll down on ur unpinned DMs list, meaning the size of the pinned DMs definitely contributes to the "lag"/"temporarily hidden" DMs as u scroll down, more often than not whenever I reset the app (the downloaded version of dc on pc btw) it seems at least 1 pinned DM is "gone", or more accurately "closed" by hitting the small "x" next to a person's name in the DM list, but if I search the pinned DM person's name, aka "open" their DM, it goes back to the pinned DM list, that's as indepth as I think I can get but feel free to ask if it contributes to getting this awesome plugin fixed

ive never encountered the issue you describe and im using the plugin for over a year by now and i at times have over 20 pinned dms. never has it happened that a channel just closed on itself.
So unless you can provide step by step instruction of "do x, then do y, then do z and youll see a happen" where a is your issue, nobody will be able to reproduce it. if you give me those instructions i can check if it actually happens for me or not and if it was to happen look for a fix of the issue.
but if you cant provide that then nobody can help you

Hello, new here, i'm xypen. i'm an avid discord web user.

i'm wondering if there's a workaround for discord not letting me output audio on the web version correctly. as background, i use firefox/librewolf, and i'm not really willing to switch browsers any time soon. i would select a different output device in the discord web settings, and it would not change the output device at all. I have eartrumpet that lets me output to different devices, but not on a per-tab level. discord web just will not let me change to the preferred audio playback device unless i set it to the default.

I have tested on chromium and vivaldi that discord just lets the browser select the default playback device. kind irritates me a little, so i'm currently looking into creating a tampermonkey script just to test this out. but i'm just a user with very limited coding knowledge. looking for anyone who can either show me the ropes or a workaround.

And yes i have somewhat checked if there were previous issues about this, seems like not many requests are on github about audio. im not sure if this is a firefox plugin issue or it could be tackled using a plugin or a tampermonkey js or not at all (impossible).

I resolved the window tiling not working on my default discord windows 11 desktop app.

Step 1 - Uninstall Vencord via the vencord.exe
Step 2 - Press Win+R then use the command %appdata% and the Vencord folder
Step 3 - Re-install Vencord via the vencord.exe that you used earlier to uninstall vencord and you should be good to go.
(Note: You may have to re-enable all of your customizations)

The easiest & fastest solution to most issues is to just reinstalll / repair Vencord using the installer. Don't worry, you won't lose your settings! They'll all be there like nothing happened once you're back
