I wanted to install the vencord on mac, so I click install, but then it say install failing.

This worked for me. I completely uninstalled Discord. Removed the Discord folder from both the AppData Roaming and Local. Reinstalled Discord. Ran Vencord Installer and installed the OpenAsar, Vencord (it failed; likely instance was still up), then repair/reinstalled (success). Reopened Discord, and everything works again.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

However, (I think due to adding the resource location whitelist), it no longer loads any of my CSS.
It is also not giving me an option to whitelist my domain (which I trust because I own it)
Is there a way to convince Vencord to properly load my CSS again?

I also tried putting the CSS link into online themes and it doesn't work, not sure why

The most likely cause is that your install is outdated. Check if there's any updates. You can either do so using our inbuilt updater, or if you cannot get there due to crashes or similar, use the "Update Vencord" in the Installer.

If you're all up to date, try reinstalling with the installer anyway!

is there a way with vencord to get phone pushup notifications while discord is running on pc? i am a twitch streamer and until recently, got phone notifs while streaming with discord running. i used the phone there extensively to not have to tab out from game or obs. now they dont show up anymore at all after upgrading phone to UI7 (android), however according to google its a known discord issue for many years 😦

discord has always had this feature of not sending notifications to your phone while you're active on PC

you can only change this to 1 minute (you have to be idle from your pc for 1 minute)

i dont think there's anything in vencord to change that behaviour

your best bet would be to use discord web (discord.com/app in your browser) or Vesktop and change the delay to 1 minute

discord desktop considers you active if your mouse is moving
discord web only considers you active if the window is focused

so if you have discord web unfocused it'll set you to idle after that 1 minute and then you should get notifictions on phone
