Everytime I boot up discord with it enabled, it keeps going to the main thing, which is the friends screen, and then, without warning, just stops, and boots me back to the loading screen over and over and I can't get out of the loop. I try reopening discord in another tab, and I close down the previous tab, and it still doesn't work.

It also puts a major strain on my CPU.

I've tried everything. It just doesn't work rn, and it is making me rather annoyed and upset, as I love Vencord.

it shouldnt have any issue (though you should probably use vesktop regardless)

I'm having an issue right now where Discord will only launch if I run it directly from terminal. Launching the app the "normal" way it starts to load with the normal animation and then just fails.

I uninstalled Discord completely, reinstalled and it worked, until I installed Vencord again, then the same behavior occurs.

If you can think of anything please let me know, in the mean time I'll check journalctl

if you're trying in a community server you need show all channels enabled, if you're using the show hidden channels plugin you won't be able to move categories in select cases (known bug)

I had a problem with client zoom shortcuts (Ctrl+, Ctrl-, Ctrl+scrollwheel) not working in Vesktop, and in the process of writing up a support request here I worked out how to (sort of) resolve it. As I see several unresolved cases of people asking about this problem in the chat history I wanted to share the solution for anyone else who experiences this.

Settings > Themes > Edit QuickCSS > paste the following:

    zoom: 85%;
}

(replace 85% with the value of your preference)

For some reason I needed to restart the client to get this to work the first time, but then future adjustments started working immediately upon changing the number.

I just updated to ubuntu 24.10 crazy it defaults to wayland now
