vesktop updates are quite rare, discord updates happen automatically (it's web discord so whenever discord updates the web interface it just happens), vencord will update occasionally. both vesktop updates and vencord updates will prompt you to restart

In my case I did a system update and my vencord was removed. Then when I repatched and restarted discord, it would crash every time I tried starting it. Unpatching and repatching wouldn't fix anything, but reinstalling discord would fix the issue. Then I tried patching it again and now it works.

Honestly, maybe it was because I initially patched discord without closing it first.

Howdy people, I cant actually get vencord to install. I tried running the terminal command (im on Mac) but to no avail. ive given it full access of the drive but something still preventing the installer from doing its thing

1. Open your terminal app
2. Type sudo
3. Drag VencordInstaller.app into your terminal
4. Append /Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller
5. The final input should now look something like this. Double check that you have everything correctly, especially the space.

sudo /Users/YourUsername/Downloads/VencordInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/VencordInstaller

6. Run by hitting Enter and the installer should open. If it says file not found, you made a mistake
7. Installing should now work!
8. If you still get the same error, give your terminal app Full Disk Access and try again

2. Press "take me there"
3. If the folder is named after your username, delete it
4. Reinstall Discord
