they either have no audio coming from the stream or they hear themselves feedback looping through my desktop audio

at first they got the broken discord install pop-up and tried to follow the instructions to delete the 2 folders but it wouldn't let them (the error said the files were in use), they closed discord with task manager and it still gave them the same error, so they uninstalled it and reinstalled it. but they still get the broken install pop-up

For the people watching my stream, it simply loads forever, this issue is not reproduced on armcord

vesktop taking more RAM than normal discord (flatpak with openasar) with only one extension enabled is there a reason for that?
I have a very limited RAM and normally discord with openasar takes 1.2 - 1.3G of RAM but vesktop on open takes about 1.8G or RAM

Hey guys, is there a fix to avoid streaming all desktop audio during screen sharing while using Vesktop? Or is there a way to select the streaming resolution in the web version of Vencord?

I don't understand? In the normal Discord client, it's possible, but in the desktop version, it only lets me stream either no audio or all the audio. In the web version, I can't choose the quality, so it streams at 720p30fps.

sudo just runs the app as admin (all permissions), chown changes the owner to the current user thus giving yourself permissions
both to then run just run the installer with the necessary permissions to install vencord

1. close discord from your system tray by clicking on the up arrow in your taskbar & right clicking the discord logo and clicking quit discord. close any browser discord tabs too, and then check your task manager and make sure all instances of discord are closed there as well.
2. win key & r at the same time & paste %AppData%/Discord & hit the return key
3. delete the discord folder
4. win key & r at the same time & paste %LocalAppData%/Discord & hit the return key
5. delete the discord folder
6. empty recycling bin
7. restart pc
8. redownload discord

before you do backup ur vencord stuff

either with the backup & restore option in discord settings or with vencloud (cloud option in discord settings)

it oddly is helpful when you have high contrast mode on, as for some reason vesktop ignores the high contrast and therefore the browser does too so if you ever need to figure out what a site normally looks like or if high contrast is blocking certain things out just open it in vesktop

well i cancelled my nitro, and was looking for a way to stream at higher quality without having nitro, which it looks like vesktop would be able to do, but for some reason it wont start up a stream if i have the audio enabled

np if there is no solution, i can stick to the regular discord client, really sucks though because of how shitty the default streaming quality is

No but if you use vesktop you won’t have to reinstall vencord when your discord updates. Vesktop is vencord’s custom discord client app, it’s also faster than official discord with vencord in it. But it has a small handful of disadvantages like no custom keybinds, as it’s based on the web version of discord (which does not support custom keybinds).
