it's a security feature to prevent some common vulnerabilities. it dictates from which resources resources may be loaded. for example on discord, it tells the browser that styles may only be loaded from discord.com, spotify.com (for spotify embeds) and some other sources. github is not whitelisted so loading from there isn't allowed by the browser

vencord works around this by making the rules less strict to allow additional sources. but to do that, you need to rewrite network requests, which only the full extension can do. userscript can't do this

On arch vesktop has started flickering, going black, i have the cat cursor plugin, and when its travelling it will go two steps forward and then one step back. when im typing and have to backspace it lags inconsistantly and text will get deleted and reappear and delete and reappear and i have to wait for a few seconds for it to settle. big changes visually like opening an image preview fail to render completely (i'll try to get a screenshot of this in a bit). it happens less on the primary monitor, but still happens. but vesktop is the only application this happens to. idek where to go about trying to debug this
