My client started crashing when opening the share screen prompt. I'm running on linux and it was working just the other day. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the new workaround to stop it using mic input as audio? I think that was the only change to streaming in the past few days.

It opens up the system prompt for choosing a window but the second it opens the discord window the entire application stops responding to input and needs to be terminated. oddly enough it doesnt freeze, I can still hear people and they can hear me, at least before I have to force close it

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it
