this is something that also happens on stock discord
server avatars on startup fail to load and any messages sent by users with those that are initially loaded just have their default avatar, but if you load previous messages then the server avatar shows up properly on those messages, and when they send messages after your client has loaded the server avatar will also properly show up again
idk if that made sense to you lol but basically it's a discord bug too because i've seen it happen on stock

Why do I get logged out after opening DevTools?

Discord tries to protect you from getting scammed by "hiding" your token when you open DevTools, which means it deletes it from storage and only keeps it in memory in order to make it harder to obtain.

If you now close discord before closing DevTools again, your token will not be saved anywhere anymore and as a consequence you will be logged out

Solution: Close DevTools before closing discord or better yet enable the NoDevtoolsWarning plugin which removes this "feature"

I'm sure this has been asked before but I have a very hard time finding information about it, I'm running the newest version of Vesktop on Arch in Openbox, though this persists in any Xorg environment I've used, and occationally my friends report a loud sound coming from my mic. It seems as though this happens even when my mic is disabled in sound settings. I am using Pipewire for audio, so I can use the screensharing, is this something other people have experienced and might have more info on?

vesktop has some problems about microphone detection:

-If you attach a microphone/webcam with integrated microphone, it does not get detected. i have to kill the app, attach the USB and then boot vesktop

-If you detach and re-attach the microphone this does not get detected

-If the microphone is inactive for a long period (muted or push to talk) and then i try to use it, the audio is no longer detected
