i also had issues using the install script command listed on the vencord site. running the command itself would just not output anything and not run the script. but the script was downloaded.

you can either switch your discord audio output to the stereo output for your device and the audio input to a mic thats not connected over bluetooth, or disable the communication profile for your bluetooth device in sound control panel

Hello, not sure if Vencord is the right place to ask this (I know official Discord isn't). But is there a way to stream audio on a pulseaudio linux distribution?

All the solutions I've been able to find either require pipewire, ask me to mix the stream audio directly to my microphone, or sacrifice my microphone in favor of the stream audio, neither of which are really viable.

Client modifications are against Discord's Terms of Service.

However, Discord is pretty indifferent about them and there are no known cases of users getting banned for using client mods! So you should generally be fine as long as you don't use any plugins that implement abusive behaviour. But no worries, all inbuilt plugins are safe to use!

Regardless, if your account is very important to you and it getting disabled would be a disaster for you, you should probably not use any client mods (not exclusive to Vencord), just to be safe

Additionally, make sure not to post screenshots with Vencord in a server where you might get banned for it

linux mint quite literally doesn't support pipewire, you cannot just magically tell it to start using it like some other ubuntu distros, the only way to use it it is through some jank emulation that just makes your audio sounds worse than pulseaudio and have a bunch of artifacts

This is a suggestion for ShowHiddenChannels to add a setting to enable to Show/Hide by server. :3 (via right clicking the server icon if possible? Something quickly accessable)

Right now, there's types of servers that has many hidden channels, usually thats due to a ticket bot, which each ticket being a channel, and it can flood the channel list extremely fast. Obviously, I don't want to disable the plugin for the other 99+ servers that I'm in, but it would be very useful to have a toggle by server, instead of going through Discord Settings, Vencord, and disable the plugin itself in the plugins section, restart discord, then use Discord :/

technically anything that's going to be added into browser also gets added into vesktop, so don't expect discord desktop-only plugins to appear on vesktop

Anyone know what i could do to fix this?
I installed vencord, tried some things, reinstall discord, reinstall vencord clicked the repair vencord button, yet i keep coming across the same error.
Specifically happeneing when i click to open discord. As when i uninstall vencord the error is no longer occuring, so im not entirly sure if what i could do to fix this issue.
Edit: reinstalled discord once again and continues, im not sure if its an issue on my side or the downloader being weird ping me if you can help

I just want to know that if the web extension of vencord is fixed or not for the firefox browser because when I have the extension enabled then discord on the web doesn't open. It gives a white screen. When I have disabled then discord on the web works fine. Any way to fix it? Thanks in advance.

How to update

• Discord Desktop: Use the Repair option in the installer
• Browser: Update the extension or Userscript
• Vesktop: Update to Vesktop 0.4.1. Use the "Update Vencord" option when right clicking the Vesktop tray icon. If you're on Mac, use the MenuBar. If you cannot do this, go to your config folder (%APPDATA% on windows, ~/.config on linux, ~/Library/Application Support on mac) and delete VencordDesktop/VencordDesktop/vencordDist, then restart Vesktop.

probably a dumb question but why is animated status talk banned, doesn't seem like it would cause much harm? unless the repeated calls to discord to change status get you banned or get the server banned for distributing a client with an ability to call the discord servers at regular intervals
