I really wanna see more lore based content through things like PvE or PvPvE modes.

What I'm suggesting could looke like:

Lore tied experiences like a gauntlet of level based challenges reminiscent of the gameshow Wipeout with the same squad focus the game is known for. Imagine a gauntlet of physics defying traps and puzzles that we'd have to complete while fighting non playable enemies per progression, sorta like destiny 2 raids.

It could also be tested with the addition of a pvpve event that experiments with the concept of having ai enemies. I think The Finals retro futuristic setting could make for infinite enemy types depending on the circumstance. This is perhaps the only game that you could fight anything from futuristic ai monsters to fully fledged CNS members

In-lore, winning a tournament is said to be a tremendous honor/claim to fame, with riches that basically set the person for life. But then what happens afterwards? It sure doesn't seem like they play again afterwards continuously, it seems more like they become one of the members in some kind of Hall of Fame and then stop. Cosmetics modeled after former winners are made, but the former winners don't seem to play again.

And for a game as seemingly popular and fun and amazing and awesome as it's made out to be, that feels kind of weird. Even if you don't need the money, why wouldn't you play it again?

Is there something that would make a winner not want to play a game as (seemingly) visually and stimulatingly incredible as this again?

Is 'winning' a tournament a pass/a key to something? Then by extension, what are the stakes people are fighting for to be the one who wins? Because a ton of money is advertised, but it seems like there's a lot more than just that incentivizing people.

some of yall have been making the comparison of the style of the alfa acta infomercial to fallout's "stuck in the 70s" mindset but I think that might be a bit off. there are multiple examples of near present day technology that are referenced in the game, like the usb and, probably more notably, the phone holder shoulder pouch. because of this i doubt that the game's world is in any way stuck in a retro past, but maybe closer to one of these two. at least regarding alfa acta.

the first is that alfa acta may have been founded in the time period of rotary phones and most of the scene as shown in the living room missile frame and simply have stayed true to their roots, however many years later this is. a side effect of this is that alfa acta would precede multico in age and is either an autonomous organization or has been bought out by multico at some point in the past.

the second is that there was a more major world event that occured sometime between the late 2020s or early 2030s that turned back global technological progression significantly. you could even jump to the thought that during this time, multico managed to gain a monopoly on the world's last remaining advanced technology and used that power to annex the world as a whole.
anyway just some theories that came to mind.

Not entirely confident but I think June at least might canonically be AI. I know they interact after the live feed cuts and Scotty was ex-contestant, but June is almost entirely locked out when CNS hacks, while Scotty is still able to transmit a small amount, mostly drowned out by CNS's static and not just muted like June. We only ever hear about Scotty doing any "real" things, like drinking Ospuze and competing. Also June has the "walk my virtual dog" line, which might be complete throw-away but still.

We know they aren't in the same physical space, or at least aren't able to observe eachother outside of their voices so they aren't in some hypothetical or digital booth together.

June is also the most butt-hurt about CNS' "redecoration" of the arenas while Scotty is seemingly entirely affable to the situation.

honestly dude i don't remember much, i don't think much came out except from the CNS hacking the broadcasts around s2-3 with the introduction of powershift and TA. i think it also had mentioned vaiiya was on it, but people in the EE channel got to CNS = Central Nervous System when Rob eyed one of the people's posts there sometime ago, and afaik a big lore-related secret was found when RHB posted about the Robber Barons of NYC and how it relates to OSPUZE (octopus tentacles), idk if much has been found for CNS except for whatever trailers was dropped and images were found within the videos
