I feel like this channel gets the least amount of love but the potential of The Finals comes from its setting, atmosphere, and gameshow aspect; the "lore".

The Finals is the world's most popular gameshow 100 years in the future.

In most arenas you can look up and see the spectators in the stands.

You compete for "glory" and the sponsors have a heavy influence in the cosmetics you get and they are the one that make the events happen in the matches.

Imo they can do more to add to the Lore a bit or make it more relevant.

Have us "apply" to sponsors each season and compete for cosmetics

They can have us "recruit people" (in other words, have us group up and play together for our sponsors - kinda like how athletes have sponsors on their clothes - you should be able to rep a sponsor in your company)

Spectate mode where we get to be in the stands (in game) and watch top 500 players mid match.

We are "competing in the world's greatest gameshow" I feel like they are cooking some features up that has us feeling like stars in the future but for now we're just playing the game.

What do you guys think they should add to the game to add to the atmosphere, lore, and "gameshow-stardom" tone to the game?

just a couple of ideas that i've been coming up recently and i thought i share.. : )

what if the ospuze juice itself is the byproduct of an alien octopus species (which can be seen on the ads on seoul) that enables superhuman reflexes in a world that is so fast and high paced with the extreme sensory overload that this is the only way people can "enhance" their senses like someone does in our life with coffee and popping a red bull.

what if the contestants are actually earning money this way in their "real" life, multibucks, generating content and ads and all.

what if everybody plays because the earth is so overpopulated that

1: there is no space left for other real life sports, with every bit of land used up already

2: the winners can live in their own created virtual worlds if they want to, which can be so detailed that you even need to have a virtual clothing company beside all these other companies focusing solely on the virtual aspects..
..and all of these extensions that you need can be bought with the multibucks you earned, or paying for the life support that keeps the user in their custom world for longer times in order to escape the reality

what if cns tries to hack the system in order to bring back the people into the real life to look beyond the walls of the simulation and unplug themselves..and leading a movement to overcome the companies and sponsors that people are basically dependent on now.

So I have a crazy theory about CNS an possibly totally unfounded. But I think CNS IS the Finals AI. Or at least it's like the AI equivalent of a multiple personality. My only clue as to why it might be this is in the s2 soundtrack which is supposed to be left to us by cns, contains a track called delete this. Now I know this is a strech, but the show Mr Robot had the same theme as s2 an when the copr in that show got hacked, they left behind a similar file which led to a number of events where you found out the main character also had split personalities. It's jus a really weird thing to put in a track title so it stuck out to me.

My ongoing theory (not truly my own, but built off some other ideas) is the CNS Stands for Central Nervous System, and them 'hacking' the finals was the Original Finals AI programming breaking through the current running one for whatever reason

I was playing the finals earlier today and noticed 2 things: CNS sponsored 4 of my matches in a row, which is either a crazy coincidence or maybe sometimes they do like little surges of sponsoring so that was small, but June had a voice line that mentioned CNS 'getting in multiple times', something like they have corrupted it multiple times.

hi here's a half-assed explanation as to why the kyoto arena is the 1568 version instead of the 22nd century version

so cns just messed up a bunch of random data during the attack, including the date to pull the geometric data for kyoto from which got set to a really low number. the system did not question this and therefore loaded the closest date to that number, which happened to be 1568

In powershift, Scotty has a voiceline that goes "The platform is a fickle ally. One minute you're best of friends, the next it's been stolen from underneath you" (something along those lines). Given how uncouth he's been with June, I think this line is a subtle reference to a backroom deal that June made with a sponsor (or CNS) that Scotty can't definitely prove, and so he's being passive aggressive about it. He's trying to ply it out of her.

Supporting evidence: June's reply to that voice line is "Sounds like you're speaking from experience." Implying that she also knows. BUT Powershift was introduced by CNS, right? So Scotty could not have played Powershift during his time as a contestant. He has no experience to speak from.

for the CNS stuff on Kyoto, this would be my explanation for it:

There's some writings found around that map that imply "from CNS with love". However, you don't really know what "from CNS" refers to until you look around the map and see a bunch of hearts that are filled "with love".

This looks like a nod that CNS did indeed bring us to an older version of Kyoto. According to the lore, we were supposed to go the 22nd century version of Kyoto instead of this one. Scotty and June reveal that in the Welcome to Season 3 (https://youtu.be/unJcQtg0t6Y?feature=shared&t=7) video.

There's another writing that says "Take a Breather and Be Yourself" and I believe that could be why they've gone silent this season. CNS just wants us to take a break.. for now.

While this idea has been floated around for a while, we now know they can't be directly connected because THE FINALS present day is around 2100, and ARC Raiders is "set on Earth several hundred years into the future." They could share a history but not a present timeline.

Its too early to know for sure and this is purely speculation but I wonder if it could go down the Horizon Zero Dawn path. Meaning the AI that is THE FINALS "evolved" and started creating machines to defend itself?

I guess this theory lends more to ARC Raiders in that its possible we will be on the other side of the walled garden playing as CNS (The Color scheme seems to match up with what info we have now) and we as CNS are fighting against what THE FINALS has become hundreds of years in the future.

ALL that being said though it is just my personal theory and I have no hard evidence to support it, as well as it hinging on being in the same universe / timeline but not a contemporary of THE FINALS as we know it.

May have pulled a string of lore here, maybe not, not sure if anyone has found this yet, but the Finals logo does bare some resemblance to Hebrew and Imperial Arameic script character "Šin" (𐡔) Unicode: [U+10854]. Just upside down. After researching a bit on Wikipedia, this character is notably used in a few terms. "Shin-Shin clash" an israeli term for a battle between two tank divisions. The other is "Sh'at haShin" meaning ('Shin Hour'), which relates to the term "Eleventh-hour" which is an idiom for "A point in time which is nearly too late." But the eleventh hour is also referenced in a story in the bible, specifically Matthew 20:1-16. The story is about laborers arguing about being paid unfairly for their work. The ones hired at the 11th hour got paid the same as those hired at the first and all the people in between, which they thought was unfair. The parable concludes with the phrase "The last will be first, and the first will be last." The parable emphasizes the theme of grace and equality. Could this be sending a message about the true nature of the finals? Is this a reference to the hyper-capitalist society they live in? I'm not sure if this could highlight finals lore at all, but someone may want to look further into this character.
