Do we know what class Ariad of CNS is? Or is it left up to interpretation? From what I've seen in the trailer (him wielding both FAMAS and AKM respectively) I'm assuming he's a medium player? This can also be assumed from his proportions in the battle pass lvl 96 icon and end of trailer shot. However, he's seen with an anti-gravity cube between his hands, and moreso, without the the actual Ariad face. Thoughts?

An interesting theory I've heard is that Terminal Attack is actually Vaiiya "rebooting" parts of the arenas in The Finals through the key. Perhaps unknowingly, we're helping them with that, thus getting access to a map which was previously used by CNS as a safespace, but now back under possession of The Finals and the sponsors themselves...

The reboot clearly refers to the gameshow, the finals virtual world uptime must be insane cuz you as the player are constantly engaging in tournaments. To fix the "bugs" which might be alluding to the Horizon map and wherever else, they are probably getting pressured from the sponsors to reboot as well. CNS might have the opportunity to launch another attack or something related during the reboot. Maybe they have taken over behind the scenes and are breaking in even more? Just a thought.

I just typed this out on reddit so im putting it here too, my theory from the new lore vid:

Vaiiya recommend a full system reset.

June is arguing against it, Scotty is for.

The "AI" won't let "Him" go through with "it".

After AI is mentioned, they refer to something "we" built with it's name redacted and how it can't stop us.

"Him" could refer to someone (possibly Sal Scoria from Vaiiya) wanting to enact the reset, and the AI will attempt to prevent it.

"Him" could also refer to someone from CNS and June is putting trust in the AI to put an end to it without needing to do the reset, though with scottys "it can't stop us" comments, I think this is less likely.

The AI has a name we're not allowed to know yet, It can "take us anywhere" presumably to try and prevent the reset.

The flashing background text reads:

Activate Self-Defence protocols
Initiate emergency backup procedures
Engage system override to halt shutdown sequence

The background also kinda looks like the inner workings of an AI, I think we're seeing this from the point of view of the AI overhearing Scotty and June's conversation.

I think that that either the reset happens and we get a retro version of everything, or the behind the scenes AI that runs the game takes extreme measures to prevent the reset by taking the game somewhere fantastical like the past, or space. No reset also means CNS still has access which keeps all of the S2 skins and gadgets relevant.

something isn't clear, and I may be contradicting myself. In the video we have two cases. Either the AI starts the shutdown procedure, or it's done manually.

If it's done with the ia, it simply means that the ia is communicating with the meta, via encryption, to shut down the system.

If it's done manually, the ia is trying to prevent the system from shutting down, hence the use of the “snippet”. He's reusing a code... and then the AI trie to communicate with the system via encryption....

in the first situation, if the shutdown is done with the AI, then "S lies" could have another meaning in this situation... The name of AI could start with "S", is lying about the reboot

Scotty and june know something about this AI, "they built it". S could be the first letter of his name, of the AI or the CEO of Vaiya Sal scoria is lying about something. Maybe Sal is corrupted
