Don't know much about it but Embark has been developing another game way before The Finals called ARC Raiders but put development on hold to make The Finals. So people are speculating the two games are connected. ARC Raiders is basically a PvPvE extraction shooter where machines took over the world

Next thing i've been thinking about. The two latest songs heard thanks to CNS sound way more electronic, with a very industrial touch, very programmed. They were said to be working on both simultaneously since work began on The Finals. Nexon said in November there'd be a beta "in the coming months with a 2024 launch"... That's one reason so many people are speculating about Arc Raiders related easter eggs. They're expecting Arc Raiders content in the near future and thinking there might be some cross promotion.

The only ai in the game is the voices, which are a mix of the real VAs and the AI. The AI samples stuff from the VAs. This is so in the future we can get thousands of unique voice lines in the game. And yes the VAs are paid for it.

The Finals is the matrix like other fans have said before, but its a facade built by whatever controls the machines in Arc Raiders as a neural net to learn how humans combat and strategize, with the expressed purpose of training the machines in the Arc Raiders. They may use captured humans. CNS may be a resistance front attempting to get into contact with them and wake them up.

1st: scotty created June the AI who runs the finals. scotty is keeping players trapped in the games, CNS is trying to break them out. Players think there are playing for cash, but they are actually playing to stay alive. Also this smoking guns event was not planned and scotty and june are just rolling with it to save face while they try to figure out whats happening. Sponsors either have no idea whats happening or dont care to know but are paying scotty to keep the players in the games.

2nd guess: theres a slight chance that this is all happening on a "ark" ship traveling to a different planet as a group of humans leave earth and are in stasis. hence the other game....Ark Raiders.
perhaps this "ark" did not make it to its destination?

So I’ve went back and watched some of the intros and what sticks out to me is when Scotty says “ There not Hacks June there glitches besides Holtow doesn’t seem too worried” why would he say they are glitches when clearly CNS is hacking.
