sneaking up on a light is one of the main counters people mention when talking about the sniper rifle
if they now could also get an early warning they would just be even harder to kill, with them being the fastest class with lots of evasion tools and all that

i think it works fine on heavy and fits their play-style, the reason nobody uses it is because its competing with dome and rpg, and is in need of a buff

Getting a hit with sledgehammer should cause a crippling/wounding effect that slows players. Literally every contestant can simply S key out of range of you even if you get an opening hit. Do not get me started on getting stunned gunned by a light. You are literally just dead in that scenario. Zero counterplay options. You can't even break the floor under you to escape because you can't croutch while stunned.

I want to be able to use my movement to outplay my opponents, these changes would make it easier to do that.

One of the main complaints about having a light on your team is that they aren’t around during team fights. Usually because they get hit once and have to go hide to heal up. A lower delay makes them be able to fulfill that flanking role without leaving teammates behind as much

Body shot damage
-increase bodyshot damage on light weapons or lower it coming from medium/heavy

A huge issue for light is that heavy and medium don’t really need to aim for the lights head to get competitive ttks. Making their weapons super forgiving, while light needs to put more effort into being on target. So I think it should be a little harder for medium/heavy to kill lights without headshots or a little easier for light.

Ok the game definitely needs a fix in some areas:

  • AKs deal a ridiculous amount of damage they pretty much oneshot everyone including heavies.
  • Regen time is way too long, i've almost got the time to travel through the entire map before finally being full-life again
  • The respawn position algorithm definitely needs to be redone, in some areas like SYS$HORIZON, the game will decide to make you spawn at the opposite of the map, making the game as a big walking simulator.
  • Many projectile-based weapons have a really glitched out hitbox, this especially shows on the throwing knives where no joke, 80% of my hits just go directly through the person, not a miss or anything just you throw them and they go through the players body.
  • The fire and gas hitboxes also need a fix since day one
  • With the nerf on defibs since the start of the season, they shouldn't put lights at 75hp, they get literally one-shot by any attack in the game.
  • The mass shouldn't be a one-tap kill-them-all weapon, though to balance it out, it should hit slightly faster.
  • Fix the payload indicator being glitched out and not displayed randomly even though you're far from it and have no direct view
  • Matchmaking is really problematic, the game starts to take 10 minutes to get you into a game, and if a player leaves in-game, they won't get replaced for the entire half of the game.
  • A lot of the servers become really laggy now, at least for EU ones.
  • The in-game performance also degrades a lot on each update, this is worrying for the future of the game.
  • The anti-air thingy is really OP, makes most of the items in the game entirely useless, not to mention it tends to overshoot and kill grenades and such outside of its area. It needs either a nerf or a full rework.

okay guys hear me out the light stun gun should have 4 charges instead of 3 so you can stun an entire team and if you miss one you can still have another chance and then they should buff cloaking to 2 minutes and you should be able to shoot well cloaked 😈

Together with @vagrant shard we came up with an idea to balance the healing beam:

  • it should start healing at a speed of 25hp/s increasing to 50hp/s in 3 seconds,
  • the given bonus should accrue only when the person does not have full HP and should reset when the person already has full health.

I hope you will take a look at this and, if possible, consider adding this or similar mechanics to the game.

Light stuns should keep the weapon you have out. It's dumb that you have an RPG out. You get stunned and iAFTER you're stunned, you somehow pull back out your primary weapon? A stun shouldn't make you switch if you can't move

Riot shield needs a non-dmg buff. Melee(specially Swords) and Pyro grenades are HARD counters for the riot shield.

I very much agree with you guys suggesting that Lights should at least get a HP recovery speed bonus compared to the other two classes. Assuming Lights remain at 150 hp, that's a type of change that would help them be more useful to the team, as they would not need to hide so often/long after getting hit, but would still get beamed in head-on fight or if they get cornered.

I also agree that the healing beam needs a rework. I value teamwork and gadgets that favor it, healing beam is one of them. But it can carry a Heavy team mate through a fight even though enemies are mag dumping on him, while you stay well hidden 10m away behind cover, on another floor, or protected by a Heavy mesh shield. The range and efficiency are a bit too hight and I think that's unfair and not beneficial to the gameplay. Because of its symbiosis with the Heavy mesh shield, well coordinated teams can stay where they are forever and sustain fire that would have either killed them or forced them to back up otherwise. I'd much prefer the heal beam to not be able to heal (or not heal as much) when taking damage, so that teams are forced to back up under heavy accurate fire, giving enemies more opportunities to push/make a move. I think this would also help Lights a bit against stacked healers.

tell me you dont understand balancing without telling me. every primary weapon is meant to have strengths and weaknesses. the fcar is meant to have high stats and be balanced out by its low ammo count, but ammo count is a terrible weakness in a team shooter. The gun ends up dominating and invalidating all the other actually balanced weapons on the medium class. A fire rate nerf to the fcar would do wonders for the balance of the game as a whole. The lewis gun and LH1 have the same issue of having 0 relevant weaknesses and completely overshadowing the other weapons on the class.

but oh man the strong weapons are sooooo fun! nerfing them so that people have more options on what to actually play with would be sooooooooo boring :((((((

decrease cloak activation cost to 1s and make cloak run out exponentially faster the longer you have it active. like if you are cloaked for longer than 4s your cloak resource drains something like 1.5x faster and after like 6s it drains the cloak resource 2.0x faster.
with a change like this a light could only stay cloaked for a max of 8s (this is the same amount of time as the current cloaking device without interruption).
the idea is to increase the skill floor to use cloak effectively. it punishes players for staying cloaked too long and rewards players for using cloak more sparingly, if you only stay cloaked for 4s at a time you can get an extra second out of your cloak. I feel the lower activation cost would make using cloak less annoying especially in the middle of fights, but still be more balanced and less annoying to play against compared to pre 2.5 cloak.

Just played a game of ranked but started with only 1 team mate, after getting destroyed (obviously) the finals still gave me negative points. Why should I be loosing points for starting with a major disadvantage. When I played apex legends they would just give you RP back if you did bad

In the final round of tournaments, if a team is wiped and the winning cashout will finish before they respawn + steal duration, I think it might be good if the match would end immediately.

Also in tournaments, if a non-queued teammate leaves or is not present, the penalty should be adjusted for losses. Perhaps this is already done, but it's hard to tell with the opaque rank adjustments.

What we propose is that the option to buy individual items is made available to not only increase sales of cosmetics but also satisfaction with customisation within and with the game itself.

You could still make it viable by using a method of (i.e pack multibucks cost ÷ items in bundle = individual price) this would allow a lot of people to pick and choose what they want to customise their character with, in a game with as much customsation as this already has, it just makes sense.

It would also give you a metric on what items are most popular and which aren't and invest more time and energy into making similar items perhaps to maximise capital.```

REVERT CLOAK BACK TO WHAT IT WAS!!!!! I always hold out hope that the Devs will recognize that they made an error Nerfing Lights cloak & will reverse the nerf. I keep following this thread & find it hilarious that even after the devs nerfed lights cloak the whiners are still whining about Lights & now want the Dash nerfed as well lmfao. As if Light class wasnt already the weakest & easiest to kill class in the game. The Devs made an error listening to all the Whiner M & H's complaining about being killed by a light with cloak simply because they found themselves running around by themselves, isolated from their team & a light got the drop on them & managed to kill them. When u read the comments in here of people whining about Lights its as if they dont think that a light should be able to kill anyone except another light & they get so offended if a light manages to kill them lol. After the Light cloak nerf I played for a couple more days trying to make it work but essentially cloak was made redundant with the Devs saying more nerfs were to come to cloak & other things. I stopped playing & wont come back unless they REVERT CLOAK BACK TO WHAT IT WAS but I wont hold my breath. The nerfs to Light have simply killed the class which is already made of glass & the easiest to kill before the nerfs.

It's so massively frustrating reporting the same god damn players multiple games ina row for blatant botting, only to have to face them multiple times in a row because mtchmaking is atrocious.

Sounds like more whining to me. My friends that play light aren't complaining at all, and the devs have said that the way invis was being utilized in the sandbox was not what they envisioned for it. If the cloak nerf completey ruined the game for you, then (and I hate saying this term) but sounds like a skill issue. It's also been made clear that they did not intend light to be a pseudo solo class, you're not supposed to be going for isolated players, you're supposed to be hitting flanks on the enemies your squad is engaging, diverting their attention and giving your team a free wipe using your mobility to pester the enemy and keep then from resetting

Pro Circuit Week 3 challenges:

  • 15 kills/assists
  • 9 kills in 1 round (the challenger circuit had 11 so I don't understand why it's less)
  • eliminate 1 opponent with quick melee
  • deal 1k damage from 100m
  • deal 2.5k damage with gas (challenge already had in circuit)
  • win 1 bank it
  • win 3 rounds

Isn't this stuff supposed to get harder? Not everyone is a pro but even noobs can do this in 1 day even.

The challenges are getting repeated too. If they were standard weekly challenges like last season then fair enough but the fact they named them challenger, Pro & masters should mean they'll be different/harder?!

Yes Yes that same old argument.."Its a Skill issue" well that works both ways mate, it could be said that those M & H who couldnt deal with a Light using Cloak is also a "Skill issue" because many M & H's have already said in this forum that it was never a problem for them. I also play H & dont have an issue with Cloak or even when I was playing as a M which I did from the start for a long time until I unlocked every single gadget & utility in every class. If u read any of my previous posts u would see that I also think Light was meant to be a flanker sewing chaos & confusion among enemy teams while also picking off stupid M & H's who found themselves out of position away from their teams out on their own where cloaks only advantage was to get the drop on them. Cloak didnt change the fact that a M or H is OP compared to light & should still win the battle 1v1. Lets not forget that as soon as the light fires a single shot they were uncloaked & a M or H should have the advantage. From what I read from the whiners in here it seems more like an Ego thing that they dont think a Light should ever be able to kill them & since Cloak nerf now they are whining about Dash & wanting that Nerfed.I mean how bad a player do u have to be to be a M or H always whining about Lights?? I think maybe it is a "Skill issue" but not on Lights part. I never had much to say in this forum because I didnt whine like others I just played & enjoyed the game & just dealt with the deficiencies that Light had compared to M & H & had fun. @dense saddle Play PS, use the sniper on SysHorizon, and shoot at enemy players from spawn to spawn. I got to 1k in less than a game, landing a few headshots but mostly body shots.

@upper citrus what exactly are you complaining about ? That the iron sights LH1 competes with the scoped SR-84 ? I don't see an issue there.

I see many complaints about ranked matchmaking. I understand the frustration for solo queue players getting into teams of lower tier than they are, up against teams of higher tier.

But joining as a team of three, all with the same ranking, always got us into evenly matched tournaments so far. If we had been ranking up, we would be the challengers (lowest tier team of all) in our next tourney. If we had been ranking down, it would be the opposite. That makes perfect sense to me. It feels like people are expecting to only be matched up against teams of their tier, while it seems reasonable that the game would make you challenge higher tier teams in order to rank up.

I should add that ranking doesn't mean everything.

@honest island kind of agree with you and everyone else who wishes skins could be bought individually. I would have also bought some items seperetaly if the option was available (i.e. the dragon tatoo is very cool, but I don't really like the outfit it goes with). However there's a very good reason why the AKM animations can't be mirrored for the FCAR or FAMAS for example. They're specific to the way the guns work. They all have different key components which imply different manipulations.

decrease cloak activation cost to 1s and make cloak run out exponentially faster the longer you have it active. like if you are cloaked for longer than 4s your cloak resource drains something like 1.5x faster and after like 6s it drains the cloak resource 2.0x faster.
with a change like this a light could only stay cloaked for a max of 8s (this is the same amount of time as the current cloaking device without interruption).
the idea is to increase the skill floor to use cloak effectively. it punishes players for staying cloaked too long and rewards players for using cloak more sparingly, if you only stay cloaked for 4s at a time you can get an extra second out of your cloak. the light cloak arguments/ long paragraphs ranting about the nerfs and changes are getting redundant and annoying. just wait for next weeks patch to see what happens with the cloak stun gun and chill out. if you seriously relied on cloak that much to where you're in here typing college essays complaining, you'd be better off spending your time learing how to get better using dash or just learn when to use cloak more effectively. I used to complain about cloak being too OP myself but right before the nerf I was figuring out how to deal with it more. lol I think you miss the point about why people are unhappy with it. It nerfed the weakest class in ranked (whilst they was told 2 more nerfs are coming) because people in casual didn’t like. That there is too much calling for nerfing and reactionary nerfs from devs. I think the devs have done great things but are listening too much however with weekly nerfs and buffs (not patches for other issues ) will never make the game feel consistent and will always lead to reactionary changes to classes which is not right

Revert cloak. It has been such a dramatic change that was made only because people who didn’t know how to counter it kept complaining even tho light class is already the weakest class. The reason I feel that y’all nerfing the cloak was a bad idea was because as a controller player it gave you the ability to compete with pc players at the same high level as them and games usually don’t give that advantage at all or have the means to give everyone a chance to compete at the same level since pc has always dominated every game. I felt that the way cloak was actually gave controller players the advantage for once. Another thing is cloak no longer has a defense mechanism in it which is very important as a light to have since we have so little health. I hope that y’all listen to your community and really understand how to balance out classes without listening to complainers when you should be listening to people who spend a long time with this game and is impartial when it comes to this game in looking for it’s best interest. Your idea to nerf stun makes 100% sense if that means it can help other classes such as medium and heavy have a better fighting chance against a light but cloak should be reverted back. Thank you for reading these messages and I hope that it can maybe help you see some future changes that need to be made

But seriously I don't want people to get me wrong, I loved The Finals & played for many hours every single day. The more some players whined in this discord/reddit/utube etc the more the devs tried to pander to them & it started killing the game for me. It is a great game & was really fun to play but the Cloak nerf "with more to come" as they said was just the final nail in the coffin. It killed the fun & made the weakest easiest to kill class even easier to kill. Who knows whats going to be nerfed next?? Every week its a new bunch of nerfs/changes & I have no reason to keep wasting hours of my time adapting to these constant nerfs/changes. There's no continuity of class or consistency of gameplay cos no matter how many hours I spend learning & mastering a class to get it to a good place to play, another nerf comes along to nuke it all. Error code TFLA0013, literally been trying to contact someone. Went through all your channels I do this at least once a day. All I want is to talk to someone and no one is there to help or even tell me what the code means. I don’t think they even know. I’ve been researching my issue and there are at least 4 random error codes out there that are sinking your account. Once you get it the game will no longer connect. Yes I know there was a ANTI cheat update. But these codes are not the cheater error code. Plus I’m on Xbox I’m not a cheater. Yet the devs and their support team has yet to even explain any of this. Don’t reach out, don’t put a ticket in. You will waste a week of your time for absolutely zero reply. On the website when they do reply it’s a bot even though it’s supposed to be a person. I would recommend saving your money for a bit don’t spend anything until they can promise you that you will actually be able to play. I spent money bought a bunch of stuff now I can’t even play. They can’t even take the time to explain it.

APS: Proactivity and fck your projectile problem (Day 11 of asking)

Notes:
. to start off, i love the idea of the aps, the ability of being able to defend an area locking down a room is fun
. but its just unfair in some situation all because the "fck your projectile" part of APS.
for a weapon like the GL that shoot projectile you basically lose the fight automatically
. and for powershift its basically mandatory to win (that gamemode need a rework tbh)
. its also a one and done. meaning once you place it down it just stay there forever

Suggestion:
. (fck your projectile) either make it so it take damage with each projectile destroy. Or it can only destroy 5 projectile then broke
. and also give it a 3 second activation time like the turret have

Pretty frustrating that triple Medium AK/FCAR is just dominating every ranked game atm. You have such great weapon variety that encourages interesting and fun gameplay, but most of that equipment is so poorly balanced that it never gets used and we just end up playing another boring AR shooter.

Oh and also why are you so obsessed with releasing AK premium skins? AK has what, 19 skins now? While most weapons have half that?

And, while I'm here, you need someone on your design team who know how to style women's clothing. I really have no interest in another tacticool cargo-pants wearing wideboy. If you had interesting/stylish designs (and not just reskins of existing clothing) then I'm pretty sure people would throw money at you for it.

Some more ideas to encourage people to use other loadouts;

  • increase damage on sword lunge (but reduce walking speed while charging to balance it)
  • Increase (a lot) throwing knife alt-fire projectile speed
  • Riot shield should have an electric baton which gives a 0.2 second stun upon hit
  • Heavy charge should give 15% defensive boost to help close the distance
  • glitch grenades should destroy APS turrets. Give light a way to counter the APS/Sentry stacks that triple mediums spam out. If you make one change, please make it this.
  • make smoke grenades thicker. I want zero transparency
  • stun grenades should reduce movement speed as well as blinding

You're going to get a lot of complaints for buffing anything which counters the Medium AR build, because that's currently the meta and people are lazy and unimaginative when picking loadouts. I'd say fuck 'em personally. Those are the same people cheering that the light stun/invis just got nerfed; What goes around comes around.

Oh, and enabling emoji reaction in this feedback channel would be a good way for other players to indicate which suggestions they approve of. And if someone from embark was willing to occasionally acknowledge suggestions that would help people feel like their voices are being heard and not just being encouraged to shout into the void.

I agree with most of your stuff, but the shield should get a short glitch instead of a stun, otherwise you just stunlock people.

Charge and slam should NOT be buffed it is already very strong. But I might have an idea for a rework, make it so the heavy gradually does more damage and becomes faster over the course of the charge. Make the charge start at 50% speed and dmg, up to 150% at the end of the charge. Give the heavies a 20% damage reduction at the start of the charge that bevomes 0% at halfway through the charge.

This would stop the problem that a lot of lights have where a heavy can shoot them once with a lewis then just charge to instantly kill them before they can even see the heavy is charging

Yes the weapon might seem very OP if you just look at the raw statistics, pick the strongest parts of them, overlook its weaker parts and ignore its actual in-game performance.
128 damage and 20m range sounds very good until you actually use it and see that it doesn't perform that well unless you hit nearly every damn shot at center mass... and hitting center mass at 20m on a small, fast target isn't as simple as shooting a target dummy. Obviously every weapon is bad when you miss but what im trying to point out is weapons have varying degrees of forgiveness and with 72RPM, 6 round capacity and 0.8s PER SHELL reload 1887 is much less forgiving than not only 2 shotguns i already mentioned but a lot of other weapons. The whole "shtick" of 1887 is that it functions more like a hunting rifle than a shotgun (if that's a right way to call it), its more effective at mid-range than close range where tracking someone is harder (assuming someone is actively fighting you and not just standing or being busy fighting someone else).
If you're a light and a model 1887 is an issue to you then either out-range it or don't 1v1 them, you as a light are supposed to be flanking anyway, and if you're good enough you can even 1v1 them, a semi-decent dash light will usually demolish an 1887.
Seriously just use the weapon and see how "simple and OP" it is.

so what ive noticed a few times now already which is a really bad design from this game, is the following..

last timer has about 15 seconds or so left,
Point A is taken by enemey, which with 15seconds if u respawn at that time is doable if u dont get to respawn at the other side of the map,
but for whatever reason many many... times the game just respawns in this case "my team" on the freaking other side of the map, which takes well over 20-30+ seconds to even get to in this case Point A
(basically meaning, don;'t bother walking cuz u won't outrun the timer, when the bar is only on Half)

So this is a game feedback section I don't see why you feel the need to tell someone to get better when they are using the server for its purpose, the snipers are unfair, you can sit back from 100kms away and headshot snipe people because it's hitscan with very little damage drop off, I don't think snipers should be removed but simply make them projectile weapons therefore it's so much harder to sit up in a little nest for the whole game and just farm damage and kills, and the fact that for snipers it seems 100 times easier to see invisible players?? The point of the ability is to lower your visibility not change it. The nerf was unnecessary and makes it too easy to see someone who shouldn't be seen, I get that it shouldn't be perfect but it also shouldn't be as easy as it is right now. All in all the snipers are unbalanced and the people that actually fight close range with them are GOOD anyone sitting from range just can't actually be enjoying the game and they're ruining it for others, I absolutely love this game it's honestly just the snipers need nerfing and the invisible needs to be returned to its prior state 😸😸

You're overstating how much better at mid-range 1887 is over KS-23.
The only notable difference currently, at least if we're talking strictly mid-range performance, is with KS-23 not being hitscan.. thats it, light will still die to 2 shots and at the same speed as 1887 since they have the same fire rate, should we nerf KS-23 simply because it can do that?
Also, shocking, a shotgun is also capable of mid-range combat and can... watch for it... DESTROY target dummies (yes ive seen that video way before, i can make any weapon look very strong by shooting shit in practice range)

Make the nonsensical madness sounding screaming from the alpha and closed beta trailers real like for the love of god it is so much more immersive to the need-there-of maximum shock and entertainment value of The Finals as a gameshow, I know it would be a long term project because it may mean mixing it in with the ai-voicing somehow or replacing lines entirely and having a more aggressive delivery, maybe even having the languages/accents partly change based on where you are in the world/what map like in the closed beta trailer
Anyways tldr: make the announcer voices sound like in the trailer i.e. coked up WWE callout would be very immersive and probably sound a lot better and its partly what got me into the finals from the trailers in the first place, wanting all that chaos audio-wise while also having it gameplay-wise

The arena carriables contract doesn't work. It's ridiculous. I just wish if they change it, they give it a free fulfilled contract (basically free exp considering the inconvenience from their failure to deliver).
Nothing about the game incentives make sense...
I really like this game, great concept.. but I think I'm gonna quit since it's such a bother because of these unnecessary mistakes from the devs. And reading their updates/notes makes me feel like they don't really care...
It's obvious there are talented people among the devs but somewhere in their group is mismanagement. Such a waste. This game could've been, could be great.

So uh we're still on triple medium AR meta? EZ game. Heavies shield is dead. There's barely counterplay to APS turrets + Guardian Turrets. Season 1 was better because at least most of the guns were as unbalanced as the ones that continue to be meta right now.

Riot Shield needs a buff badly.

Everything good the riot shield had like disarming mines, faster attack glitch, or having the shield off to your side has been removed, and now it's a fairly useless weapon with a 5 second TTK on heavies, and for what, a little bit of cover?

In the next "big" upcoming patch I kindly ask for the following buffs for Riot Shield:

  • Faster attack speed
    Riot Shield needs a faster attack speed, killing a heavy is a death sentence most of the time because a 5 second TTK is actually a joke.

IF emote cancelling (like for sword) is staying in the game as a mechanic, add in tech where emote cancelling when you land a hit lets you hit slightly faster. Similar to how it was with the controller bug.

  • Stun on hit
    The biggest problem with Riot Shield is when you face a Light or a Medium, the best counter to Riot Shield is to literally just run away.

There needs to be functionality where each hit "stuns" the enemy, not in a way like the stun gun, but every hit should stop the enemy from sprinting for like 0.5 - 1s, so you can't just run away in a straight line and be safe. But if the enemy medium is smart and uses utility to get away, they are still able to quite easily.

  • Bring back shield to the side when interacting
    This was one of the best features of Riot Shield and I'm upset to see it gone, it does make sense, the riot shield just stays attached to your arm while you interact, exactly how it would work in real life. (good counter to stun which is needed)

  • Tank explosive mine damage
    When you have your shield up with secondary fire and walk over an explosive mine, it should explode but do zero damage to the player or structure, with the shield absorbing all of it. This is currently possible but only if you have perfect positioning, just make it more consistent I beg.

In power shift make it so you can’t stack the platform with 5 aps turrets and regular turrets. It would be great to actually have a chance at reclaiming the platform.

Also allow us to 1v1 our friends in private matches. This would make a great edition over just playing public games.

The riot shield does need buffs, but nothing crazy, it could be buffed in a variety of ways, I'd like to see melee hits be more consistent, I think the melee range should be increased to 3/3.5 meters. With how long the ttk is in this game, I don't mind protected stance doesn't fully protect you, but the insane slow down you have while blocking makes it trivial to hit a shielder trying to block. Either increase speed while blocking or make the slow blocking stance protect much better, so it is used solely as a defensive measure, and not an aggressive one.

I have gotten no progress towards the mission do damage from a distance less than 25 meters, despite gaining progress in the mission to do melee damage. Does melee not count because if so the mission should say that imo, if melee does count it´s not working right.

It is a pellet shotgun and you will miss with it, with slug you just need to hit the target anywhere and you deal full damage, if you dont hit with 1887 dead center your per-shot damage suffers and the 2 shot turns into a 3 shot... and with 72RPM i dont think i need to explain the result.

Just because "its a shotgun" doesn't mean it shouldn't have range because of "video game logic" and as a light you have plenty of weapons that let you either outrange it or get in their face and use your small size, high dps and movement specializations to kill them. I've faced 1887s as light plenty of times without a stun gun and had 0 issues dealing with them simply because i had experience with 1887 and knew its drawbacks.

idea for cloak rework:
decrease cloak activation cost to 1s and make cloak run out exponentially faster the longer you have it active. like if you are cloaked for longer than 4s your cloak resource drains something like 1.5x faster and after like 6s it drains the cloak resource 2.0x faster.
with a change like this a light could only stay cloaked for a max of 8s (this is the same amount of time as the current cloaking device without interruption).
the idea is to increase the skill floor to use cloak effectively. it punishes players for staying cloaked too long and rewards players for using cloak more sparingly, if you only stay cloaked for 4s at a time you can get an extra second out of your cloak. I feel the lower activation cost would make using cloak less annoying especially in the middle of fights, but still be more balanced and less annoying to play against compared to pre 2.5 cloak.

I actually think the challenges should be harder.
Im a filthy bronze and for me to smash out the challenges in a day, doesn't seem that hard.
I got 'burdened' with the 4k damage at 100m.
It's not super difficult to get.
Power shift on skyway makes it pretty easy.

I would love to see some long term challenges in there, like the steam achievements but in game.
10k headshots, 1 mill damage, like 100 quick melee kills lol. Give cosmetics to show off 🙂

So, I've now been suspended from ranked matchmaking because I cancelled the matchmaking process earlier, after waiting for several minutes and no match being found. Apparently, it assigned me to some tournament I wasn't aware of, and I was marked as quitting. Could this ranked system be any worse?

So the building in the middle of the map should be turned into an office area of some sorts so that we can use it as a way to traverse to each square of that map.

The amount of games I've lost both from the beginning and ones I joined at like the end is a lot simply due to the middle giant black business building not being part of the traversable map unless the map specifically is Under Construction is unfortunately a lot.

I can't really think of any reasons not obvious other than lore implications like we aren't supposed to know what goes on in that building and thus it isn't explorable but I guess that's some extra food for thought.

I don't even care if you copy the interiors from horizon or the office buildings from skyway stadium. Just pretty please, Embark, make that a constant part of the map so I have atleast a chance at reaching the cashout that is cross map from my spawn/respawn point.

Does anyone else agree or disagree with me on this building and why?

THe hospital from seoul map need a rework. This is not fair to cross the broken bridge in ranked and most of times, players just ignore this objectives point when they have to attack

Here's my list of ideas for weapons and gadgets that would be great to see in the game.

Weapons.

A hunting crossbow: this would have a slower rate of fire than the sniper's but would be more accurate even in no scop. It would also have the particularity of being completely silent when fired, so it would be impossible to find the shooter with sound spatialisation unless you could see the reflection of the scope.

The club would be aimed at the medium or average class. What's special about it is that it's fast, but not as fast as the midum's dag and shield, and it does a lot of damage to shields and all turrets combined, so when you charge with it you push opponents back a little further.

Gadgets:
The Handle Grenade, this would have a little more range than a classic grenade that throws it but would do a little less damage, it would be possible to strike with it in close combat which would do a huge amount of damage to the enemy but would also cause you to suffer damage but less consequential.

The bear trap, which is deplorable on the ground when the enemy steps on it, doesn't do any damage but blocks you for a moment before you can move again, but with the same effect as the stun but without the glitch.

Embark pls make a console only crossplay option aswell. Console finals is dying at an insane rapid pace. I love the game but finding games these days is aking too long i dont even wanna start about finding mates. So many good players left the game its crazy pls embark dont kill your own game 15k player peak on steam aint it aswell. Start marketing your game, start with some small tournaments and pay streamers to play in it. Just do something or season there will be only 10k people playing............

BRING BACK THE CLOSED BETA SLIDE. combat becomes very stale, especially with this ttk (not implying the ttk needs changing). I really like how the finals has a sandbox approach to things but the sandbox aspect definitely lacks in face to face combat. Also more airstrafe control would be nice as well as being able to crouch mid air for hurtbox compression. The new (post cb) movement system feels very unresponsive and sluggish. Please more ground to air momentum conservation. Client side movement, reducing or removing jumpsquat frames, and making chain jumps eat less of your momentum away. Also increase the mantle animation speed as well as add a crosshair indicator or smth for a mantle-able object. omnidirectional sprint and slide as well. Remove the damage multi (i think 0.4x or smth) on unactivated mines, breaches or c4's. The pocket sand and cl40 mine stuff was nice but sad to see it gone, removing this was kind of a statement that the sandbox approach the game initially had is starting to fall apart. Nukes were honestly pretty cool (even as a light player), outright removing it was a bad play as it removed the "monkey ingenuity" aspect to the game linking back to what I said earlier about embark and the sandbox approach to the finals

The game lacks movement on all classes on all classes, especially light (light=sans where low hp but good dodging to make up for it, simultaneously the highest and lowest theoretical hp pool). maybe some xdef stuf as well as wall kicking would be nice, nothing like titanfall 2 or anything, just something to give the players another dimension of control during fights. In a head on 1v1, whoever aims the best wins, but if movement was introduced it would allow for players to also use it to dodge enemy fire.

Make the game WAYYY more stressful. i want it to feel more like i'm actually there, the trailers have communicated that but the game so far hasnt shown that. more crowd engagements.

I don't understand why you're still trying to nerf cloak, from a melee players perspective, you're already making it much harder than it needs to be for no reason. Cloak is overly used with ranged weapons but your nerfs don't serve to tackle the issue. You say it's too increase the skill ceiling, but how is it? All you're doing is slowing down the pace of cloak and nobody benefits.

Cloak already has plenty of counterplay, being very easily heard when entering cloak, moving while cloaked, and decloaking. As well as cloak being able to spotted quite easily if you're aware of the general direction it's coming from.

If I were to rework cloak, I would lean more into utility and have it be used less offensively. I would make it so cloak provides true invisibility but keeping the audio aspects in there so movement with cloak is still able to be deducted.

I would make it so the slower your movement, the harder it is to hear, and while standing still (as it currently is) you're completely silent. To offset the buffs I mentioned, I would prevent ranged weapons and gadgets from being able to be shoot or be used when cloaked, then add a small decloak delay of around 200 - 500 milliseconds so that decloaking at a bad time or in a bad position would be much easier to punish, as well as not being able this would also solve the issue people have with stun gun and cloak, since you have to come out of cloak to utilize, putting you at greater risk.

  • Remove accuracy penalty when sprinting, sliding, jumping, or strafing.

  • Allow the secondary attack to be held.

  • Dagger

  • Reduce the time it takes to perform a backstab from 700ms -> 400ms

  • Increase backstab damage from 320 -> 350

  • Allow the backstab to be charged and held while sprinting and/or cloaked.

  • SH1900

  • Increase damage per pellet from 10 -> 11

  • Decrease pellet spread.

  • Riot Shield

  • Increase melee range from 2.5m -> 3.5m

  • Allow baton hits to glitch contestants for 1.5s.

  • Flamethrower

  • Add a secondary attack that launches the ammo canister forward similar to a red canister, dealing damage that scales with the amount of ammo you had in reserve, explodes on impact to provide destruction capabilities as well as setting the area on fire. Splash damage is weak requiring direct hits to deal potent damage.

  • Flashbang

  • Deafen effect retains maximum strength regardless of the angle.

  • Increase the duration of the deafen effect from 2.5s -> 6s

  • Glitch Trap

  • Can be equipped on the heavy archetype.

  • Increase trigger radius from 1.5m -> 3m

  • Increase effect radius from 4.5m -> 6m

  • Motion Sensor

  • Increase detection range from 4m -> 6m

  • Contestants within range are continuously detected until they have left the area of effect or destroyed the motion sensor.

  • Smoke Grenade

  • Can be equipped on all archetypes.

  • Add a property that makes you and your team immune to all forms of detection while inside the smoke cloud.

  • Fix smoke visibility bug when shadows are set to low or medium.

ok actually the 100m challenge isn't so bad once you really start playing like a degenerate. I've been able to get 1k+ damage by just going to the furthest part of the map from the platform/enemy spawn. Still fking wild that so little of my damage even at that range is above 100m somehow. I mean you're still completely sabotaging your team, this challenge wasn't well thought out at all (especially how I have 4k but my friend has 1k????) but back when I was playing only half-degenerate and triyng to be even slightly usefl to my team I thought this was as bad as the Win A Tournament Also We Removed Unranked Tournaments Kek challenge

I think the last cashout needs to be nerfed from 22k to 20k I think its very unfair for your team to do everything right during the match just to get screwed over by a team that did absolutely nothing the whole match just for them to steal it last second.

I already voiced my concerns on someof those, so i wont repeat them, but there are a few other things id like to mention

Im not sure if buffing the range of a melee weapon is a good idea
It would probably lead to situations where you litterally saw it miss you, but you still get hit due to extended range

And on smoke grenades, i actually like to run them with sonar grenades
I block the enemies view and then use a sonar so my team can still see
Can also be helpful when trying to deny a cashout steal, especially as light that dies quickly when found
Maybe if it only denies enemy sonar, but id really prefer it to stay as is
Maybe make the smoke thicker and the area it covers larger, so theres a lower chance of your shadows poking out?
Then it would also help when stealing/reviving since the enemy has to check more area

idea for cloak rework:
decrease cloak activation cost to 1s and make cloak run out exponentially faster the longer you have it active. like if you are cloaked for longer than 4s your cloak resource drains something like 1.5x faster and after like 6s it drains the cloak resource 2.0x faster.
with a change like this a light could only stay cloaked for a max of 8s (this is the same amount of time as the current cloaking device without interruption).
the idea is to increase the skill floor to use cloak effectively. it punishes players for staying cloaked too long and rewards players for using cloak more sparingly, if you only stay cloaked for 4s at a time you can get an extra second out of your cloak. I feel the lower activation cost would make using cloak less annoying especially in the middle of fights, but still be more balanced and less annoying to play against compared to pre 2.5 cloak.

The finals is like any other team based shooter. Team play over anything and plays over everything.

You could be going 7-13 and still as long as you stop a cash out or depot a bunch of money u stole off a guy in bank it that’s all that matters.

Every ability in game has a sort of counter. Instead of outright nerfing cloak for light why not make glitch nades to dmg to people who are in cloak when it hits them? Or add an ability like sombras hack or something that hurts cloak obviously those aren’t the best ideas but something like that

Changes like that doesn’t outright make it useless like what they have done to it recently

First off, gotta say, we're huge fans of your game. Seriously, it's our jam, our go-to for chilling out and having a blast with friends. But, there are a few things kinda bugging us lately that we gotta chat about.

So, let's talk about those lobbies. Man, they've been acting up big time. We're getting kicked out left and right, and sometimes it feels like we're stuck in limbo waiting for things to load up. Not cool when all we wanna do is jump straight into the action.

And those graphic bugs? Woah, they're like something out of a horror movie. We're seeing weird stuff happening on screen, and don't even get me started on the FPS drops every 2 seconds.It's like playing in slow motion sometimes, totally kills the vibe.

Rocket launcher should be a full utility gadget rather than a damage one. It should let heavy rocket jump along with being a tool to destroy structures. Give it two rockets and then it deals a max of 50 damage per rocket. Trust.

Flame thrower is a new meta actually. They can defend easy on objectives if they are playing with 2 mediums heals + barricade and aps turret and just camp a spot. You just can't try to kill them as a light

Once you finish the battle pass and reach max level all sense of progression goes out the window.

Weapon XP:
I think weapon levels are fine as they are but personally they don't serve as enough to make me feel like I'm progressing to anything because of how long it takes to get enough XP. Maybe you could get a bonus for completing contracts while using a weapon or gain extra XP for things like multikills or kill streaks.

Battle Pass:
I love the change of making later tiers cost more but still, its only around half way through the season and I've fully completed it. I think bonus tiers like in Overwatch where you get something just as a badge to say you went the extra mile would be really good. This should probably require close to completing every weekly challenge in the season.

Account level:
Just uncap the level. I don't care if I'm not earning more items, I just want something to represent the effort I've put into the game across all of the seasons.
Maybe there could be more items added to it but they could take a few levels to reach like 5 or 10 levels between items instead of one every level.

Weekly challanges:
The only issue with them is that they feel less important once you've finished the battle pass and I can't be bothered to do them for a pair of white shoes. (Ill do them eventually but not because I want to.) I think the other changes I've suggested to the battle pass would fix this.

Ranked:
I don't think your rank should be considered an aspect of progression since its nothing more than a visualisation of your skill which would be improving anyway. It helps but its not enough on its own, especially for casual players (though most of my points aren't too geared towards casual players)

@crisp bobcat You could say there's a reason you don't see a lot of weapons in diamond and above for all classes? It's like many games, do you buff and nerf depending on casual play or ranked play? Embark has added certain weapons it looks like to never be played in ranked. I believe the flamethrower is one of these.

I'll be a bit blatant here. If their are people funding the game and are affecting how the game is being developed, it is likely that they are affecting the way the games popularity is growing.

Anyways, I am deeply concerned that this game is loosing steam as far as on boarding new players.

Anybody who gives the finals a real try never puts it down but there are some "CORE FEATURES" that are not in the have yet which will make stand out even more and cause the game to blow up.

I have so many free ideas for the devs, but I'm sure they don't have the staff to implement them.

If we can create go fund me's so we can hire more people on temporarily/permanently to increase development of the game I will give you my money for that specifically.

As a non-heavy main, Flamethrower doesn't need any nerfing whatsoever. It's at a perfectly fine point balance-wise. If you find yourself dying to flamethrower heavies more often than not, I'm apt to say that this is due to the lack of an applied strategy that isn't being followed, not that the weapon itself is inherently overpowered or underbalanced.

He didn’t get any kills because he sucked and was playing sword in rank. The other light got 6 kills. Cloak is a horrible ability that isn’t fun to play as or play against. The light class shouldn’t ONLY be useful when playing a cheesy ability. Listen, I'm not saying people don't bring up valid ideas and concerns, I'm gonna repeat some of them too, but there's just so much pointless bickering about the smallest of things that don't really matter. I wanted to shed some light on the truly most important issues.

  1. PERFORMANCE: the performance in this game is very bad. No idea why people don't bring it up, it's the number 1 reason why I stopped playing this game. I used to have a stable framerate of around 110fps during the beta, now it's down to a very, very unstable 60. It's legit getting worse and worse and worse each week with every update. Even when playing on GeForce Now with a 4090 RTX, where Doom Eternal reaches 400 fps - yes, FOUR HUNDRED fps - The Finals is sometimes struggling with 100, dipping down to 85. It's terrible for a fast paced FPS to stutter this much. The loading times are just absurd - every 3rd match takes close to 2 or 3 minutes to load, it also often crashes/freezes during loading screens. Since March, I also started to notice the netcode getting worse and my character often dying a good few meters behind corners.

  2. THE GUNPLAY: have you ever wondered why the gunplay feels so off in this game? Of course, there's bad balancing and Tarkov-like recoils in an arcady Apex-y class shooter. As everyone said already, a ton of weapons needs to be buffed and the recoil patterns reverted to a much more tolerable state, cause right now there's maybe like a single gun on 2 out of the 3 classes that's actually fun to use. But wait, there's more! Did you know that your sights/crosshair don't actually show you where the bullets are going to hit? Yes, that's right. This issue existed for years and it wasn't fixed. Bullets always come from the middle of your screen, no matter what's happening. Which means your crosshair/sights actually make you miss. It's an insane oversight, I can't put into words how much worse the game is because of it.

Hey Embark,

I've been enjoying The Finals a lot and I've come to the conclusion that this game has one of the best OST's in any shooter game I've played (probably cuz it's also made by a music studio). I have a really great quality of life suggestion that I have in mind. Since Season 2 will eventually end and I won't be able to jam out to the awesome tracks you amazing developers put so much effort towards this season while load up the game or que up for a match, I suggest that there should be a jukebox or a music selector where you can change your in-game lobby music or que music. In my opinion, I think this would allow for a lot of personal customization especially as the seasons progress and more and more music gets added to the game. It is understandable if this cannot be done as many shooters don't allow this option. Thank you devs for being so responsive with the community. Love you all and the contestants hug_friend

The power shift is really bad.
The maps and the routes the platforms take are all bad.
Is it especially bad when the platform moves in the air without footholds, which is crazy?
Even if the platform passes through the air and goes to the next building, the footing is so poor that it is rare to be able to retake it.
There is something on the circuit that requires a power shift, so I have no choice but to do it, but once the necessary conditions are met, I won't do a power shift anymore.

Well, in this case it doesn't necessarily mean that the landmine will go off, but the act of attaching a landmine to a statue itself feels as insidious as shooting dead bodies.
If a player who comes to revive the team is killed by a land mine near a statue of his team, it can be assumed that the rescue player may have been careless, but...

However, what I'm concerned about is the way the game is made in which someone can attach mine-type gadgets directly to the statues of the dead.
It feels like an act close to shooting a corpse, and I feel disgusted.

I would really like to know why these challenges that take a VERY LONG TIME are even a thing in this game.... Like "Steal 15 cashouts" ... while it can be done it is just annoying and a cause of frustration while playing the game. Challenges should be relatively easy, so it gets people playing with the different aspects of the game... making them take so much time causes people to resent the DEVs and get too frustrated with the game... get some smart people-people on the development team... you only seem to have programmers with no people skills

So personally, I think the automated turret is really overpowered but way I would change the turret is by instead of it being automated have it be manned and it would incorporate traits from each classes expertise like the medium has an accurate machine gun. DAY 28 OF ASKING FOR A GRAPHICAL PERFORMANCE MODE!

Both console and PC need this imo to maximize FPS and get rid of those annoying frame drops!

  • They can lower down shadow quality which will heavily help out performance especially since it is on unreal engine
  • texture quality can be lowered down, works for most games
  • tesselation can be lowered or even remove, it takes a massive hit on performance
  • clouds and background buildings can be removed, smaller render distance for unneccesary objects

Still no reply from the support team and still no explanation as to what error code TFLA0013. Good luck contacting anyone to figure anything out or even get it fixed. I suggest updating the game engine to 5.4 in a future patch, as well as updating all available upscaling solutions to newer versions like DLSS to 3.7.0, XeSS to 1.3, and FSR to 3.1 (when that version gets released in the upcoming few weeks). UE 5.4 brings more optimizations which make the performance better and that should improve the general game experience for people in combination with the updated better upscalers. Also, add DirectStorage api to improve loading, there are times where all players are stuck to a loading screen for the match due to singular users with slower machines, and DiSto can eliminate/lower that.

Ok, hear me out...I know this mode would be chaos, but it might also be fun. Basically a cross between Power Shift and Bank It.

Simply put a cashout box in the middle of the platform in Power Shift. Each kill results in coins that can be deposited into the cashbox. The more money one side has, the faster the platform goes their way. So even if one side gets the platform, they still need to scramble for kills to get the platform moving back their way.

And to prevent people from simply hiding so others can't get their coins, there can be cash boxes that appear nearby from time to time. Maybe these cash boxes will have more money the farther away the platform gets. That way, there's still a chance for the other team to come back.

I know, it has its flaws, but could be a fun mode if balanced correctly. hug_friend

I'd love to see a system for player behavior ratings, similar to the one found in World of Tanks. Each day, every player would receive three tokens to comment on notable player behavior. These tokens could be gifted on different categories like excellent combat skill, team coordination, or game sense/outplaying people. Each player could track their notable behavior tokens received on their stats page. There could even be rewards for people who receive these tokens, such as those who receive good team coordination having a higher likelihood of being matched with other players who also received these tokens. It would incentivize players to communicate better and punish those who don't prioritize teamwork.

World of Tanks even has a token that can be gifted to enemy players: "formidible opponent".

-It is starting to cause frustration that playing solo queue matches you against premades that the coordination advantage is difficult to overcome with a team that also plays solo queue.
They need to prioritize matching solo players with solo players and premade with premades.

-Please review the spawns system. It doesn't follow any logic and leaves the games to luck. Sometimes you spawn far away having control of the charging station and sometimes close not having control of the charging station. It does not make sense.

Has anyone complained about the new pro circuit challenges this week? specifically "Deal 4000 damage from 100 meters." I played a couple matches of power shift with sniper and after all of that i only managed to get 86 damage. I don't care if its a skill issue, that's extremely difficult to do for us casuals.

You can still revive a statue that has a mine on it. The mine will only blow up if you walk over the statue or try to carry the statue. Even then, you can shoot the mine off of it before doing either of those things. The only slightly problematic setup is the pyro mine, 'cause it sets the statue itself on fire.

If you can't cope with this of all gimmicks, you might want to try a different shooter, man.

The games feels bad I have more fun playing OW 2 and that’s a bad thing the challenges are sometimes way too difficult like 15 steal of cash out it should be as team the amount of time where it’s me backing away bcz I heal instead of stealing is very high the game feels extremely cancer too I have fun but that quickly goes away in any instance where everything is broken like (spawn , glitch , demat working like ass , try hard in cas cuz rank is ass and many other things )

Hear me out. Game mode is called Heist. The premise is 3 or 4 teams have a cash out ATM in their homebase. The goal is to go and steal cash in the form of a cashbox withdrawal from the enemy team's cashout ATM and bring it to yours. It brings a sense of should I defend my home turf or should I try and steal. Also as you hold the enemy cashbox withdrawal, you could drop it and another team can steal it.

Game is a bit too clunky and frustrating to actually try to win. Steal randomly stopping right at end, goo barrel not breaking, falling no regs, defib hologram blocking projectiles. all within 30 minutes. Game is still fun but would be better as a team deathmatch.

BUFF THE RIOT SHIELD:
Here's some suggestions, I know all of these together would make the shield pretty strong but even 1 or 2 would be enough to improve it so much!:

  • While blocking movement speed should be the same as walking (increasing block movement speed would help a lot in pushing and giving your teammates support)
  • Increase swing speed (Honestly a lot issues would be solve with this, the weapon lacks a good ttk)
  • Lunge distance (90% of the fight become a chase you can't win, the other classes have ways to block enemies, slow them down or catch up to them, even heavies have RPG to finish people off if they use sledge)
  • Increase damage from 84 to 90
  • Electrify the baton and give it a glitch effect, when you hit somebody they're glitched for 2,5 sec (This would give the shield so much utility and would help the team greatly, making it a viable options)
  • Remove the fov zoom when you hold your shield up (it's very annoying that when you block the screen zooms in, either remove it or add the option to choose between affected or indipendent fov while aiming)

ALLOW MELEE WEAPONS TO KEEP SPRITING WHEN ATTACKING:

  • This would help them to compete

IMPROVE MELEE TRACKING:

  • Some weapons like the Dagger have an insane lock that is not needed, on the other hand the Riot Shield has a very weak lock, you can't even hit people in your face sometimes. Consider increasing the angle at which the lock works and reduce the lock strenght on the Dagger

FIX THE DAGGER BACKSTAB:

  • Backstabs with the Dagger are the most incosistent thing I've ever seen, a lot times either nothing happens or it's not backstab even though you're right behind them and other times it is when you're literally in front of them
  • Increase the backstab hitboxes because the latency of the servers causes this problems
  • Make it so you can hold the backstab and it's not a forced animation, revert it like it was in the Open Beta

KS-23 rework

KS-23 was made to be a high risk high reward, however it is mostly just high risk. The gun requires you to guide your shots and have good tracking on non-stationary targets, when they are stationary however the gun's dps is lack luster, and people who stand still in a game like this are usually shooting at you with gun sight level accuracy, and most guns will melt a heavy with the KS-23 well before he kills them, the gun was supposed to be used as a sort of shoot then cover gun, but after the decrease in dps it has lost that function, even with the increase in fire rate, because fire rate doesn't help you in a shoot then cover playstyle, you get one bullet to effectively deter a threat and now it does less damage, the fire rate was meant to make it still usable in more open combat which is usually what your up against, and is why they increased projectile speed as well, however the gun just doesn't work, the fire rate is still to slow so any missed shots equals death, the damage wasn't the issue, its the fire rate, and reload speed.

TF2 has a good example for a 6 round gun that is the most balanced gun in the game, the stock shotgun. Its not slugs, but at its max damage it does 90 damage with one full shot that lands all pellets, that kills the light, and the medium in the same amount of shots, but its faster, the fire rate is faster (.625s), and the reload to a full clip is only 3.5 seconds, 1 second on first, 0.5 on each after, I could break a wall and enter it with a full mag in under 4 seconds making me able to breach an area like I was meant to with a terrain destroyer. the range should be increased as well, well aimed shots should be rewarded, and makes midrange winnable but not unfair against anyone with meta weapons or even mid weapons, just decrease damage by 15 every 30ft. also make the deviation the same as the grenades (almost none) its already a projectile in a fast pace game, with projectile collision issues and mostly tiny hitboxes.

Ranked needs to be a clean system, the up in the air arrows are really difficult to draw any conclusions on. Fame was a good system to have where we knew tangibly how much we were increasing or decreasing. Clear effort for clear results.

I really dislike the change to Embark ID names. There is some weird behavior where you will see the Gamertag on on Screen but in game it's the Embark ID. Or you see the one name in the roster, but the voice activation icon has a different name. It really spoil what limited communication there is sometimes. Go back to chosen username and forget the Embark ID.

i think the damage is fine, but the amount of choke is not. right now it seems like it can kill 2 shots on mediums from quite a far range, like what you'd expect an M11 or AKM to perform well at.
I could be wrong, but in any circumstance it is ridiculous how many people are using it, even on incredibly open maps which should make a shotgun strategy disadvantageous

pls improve demat's reliability, its so unreliable in vegas and seoul cus theres so many layers and it takes 3 charges to even go thru a wall sometimes or sometimes it opens up very small holes, it would be a lot more reliable if demat had better depth and opens up walls that are too close but counts as another wall, using demat to escape in vegas and seoul or open up from under usually takes 2 charges cus of all the pipes

Also demat should be a lot faster, most of the time i have to click more than once for the demat to start working it just doesn't work a lot of the times, pls improve it and make it a more viable pick cus rn barely anyone is using it

Also a skin for the demat would be nice like a gadget or item you hold or even just your hand without the tab and it has a different, cooler animation, that would be sick

Since yesterday I'm having heavy stuttering issues when playing, i have had stutters before but nothing like this, settings in epic, low or whatever doesn't seems to affect or improve, just The Finals Running, my specs are Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 Gb RAM, RX 6700XT 12GB VRAM and an NVME SSD, which should be more than capable of running the game, any idea of a solution?

I'm here to advocate an increase of the minimum advertised specs on the Steam page and the addition of XeSS 1.3
For an increase of minimum specs, my friend tried running the game on a 1060 + i5-7400 + 8GB RAM combo but the game was not even close to playable on minimum settings (all low graphics + minimum resolution + FSR2 on Ultra Performace) and ran at ~4fps with CPU usage solidly at 100%. I know the RAM on that PC is below the minimum spec but the CPU and GPU are above the minimum spec of 1050Ti + i5-6600K. I expect the game to run poorly on that setup but 4fps on unplayable settings is what I personally believe to be too low (though this is subjective so I understand if it stays as is).

Is the 4GB RAM below the spec really changing the performance to the point that it's not even barely playable?

lol not everything is just a skill issue. Light is the lowest picked in ranked and far from the meta. That’s not a skill issue. The whole point of 3 classes is to bring a rock paper scissors element to the game. Yes people can still play with light well and that’s great but it’s in a bad place. It’s OP in casual and not meta in ranked. It highlights an issue with the game that Casual modes differ so much from ranked that balancing is not possible across all modes

I mean getting shot with a rpg in the face for 140 dmg is not fun, a flamethrower heavy just opening the mesh shield and walking up to you while getting healed from the back is not fun, there are lots of things that are not well balanced in this game and i think the stun gun is not at the top of the list. Lights kit is just really annoying against new players and i get that but there is also a competitive side where the stun gun is a very useful tool especially against heavy players. I dont think a nerf is needed but thats just my opinion tho

I just play frag grenade , pad tbh. But when i have a cac lights focusing me i Switch to the shotgun , kinda fun to force myself to adapt and not only playing One kit

I mean I actually agree with you on all of those other annoying mechanics. I just thought of a possible solution to just one of the many annoying and unbalanced issues in the game. I'd like to see the many annoyances fixed before hefty 'balance' changes. Just one example which ruins the game for me - why can turrets blast me through smoke and areas with zero visibility when I cannot see the turrets? If that's down to individual graphics settings then you need to normalise the visuals so that's it's not reliant on personal game settings.

Counters work in age of empires because its a very different game

You can have plenty of units of everything
You can always at least somewhat counter them back

And if the enemy just happens to run a lot of spears, then you can just make more archers to compensate without much effort

And how does this translate into the finals?
You basically lock yourself into spear hoping that the enemy didnt take archer

If they do have archers (rpg) you cant swap to horses
Youre stuck loosing (and not having fun) until the end or you quit

The only option you have is to not play something that is easily exploitable to begin with and purposefully limit your options and have less fun

Rotational/Random Reload Animations

I want to have the possibility to select multiple reload animations for a gun. I want to select a primary and a secondary reload animation. Primary reload gets used 80% of time while secondary 20%.

Please note that the specified percentages are illustrative and subject to adjustment.

Auto Kick whole team if cheater was detected

I am unsure if that is even possible but eliminate/kick a whole team when the anti-cheat detects a cheater. Team mates don't gain any fame points. The more extreme approach would be cancel the whole tournament but I think that's more unlikely possible but if would create a fair playing ground.

I know the anti-cheat ain't the best but I would make sense to have something like that.

General changes in UI

IMO, some elements suck. The display of daily mission/weekly challenges are very unintuitive. I would like a cleaner and "easier" approach to get an overview of challenges/dailies/rewards.

The leaderboard needs a fix. I can only access it once. After attempting opening it once, it gets stuck and loads forever. Workaround is to close THE FINALS and reopen it to access the leaderboards.

Matchmaking
The MM is atrocious. I don't think you should get matched up with Silver/Gold in your team while the rest of the enemies consist of full Platin players. It really doesn't make sense. Somtimes even Unranked/Bronze players.

Better ulitization of Battlepass/Credits
For the love of god, you better remove that stupid cap of 3000 credits. There is no justification for having that. It's outdated. That cap feels like you wanting to artifically increase player's engagement into your game e.g. pricing the new weapons/gadets in a way that 3000 credits are not enough to buy them in on go.

Remove it, introduce "Endless Levels" in your Battlepass after completing your Battlepass to earn credits only like in League of Legends and then introduce more content in form of skins/animations/rare stuff to buy with credits. It rewards dedicated players.

been playing since closed beta and my feedback remains the same as it was back then, solve the cheating problem and improve ranked, i have now uninstalled the game i have tried to be patient but i cant do it anymore its a waste of time both because cheaters make the game unplayable and none of my friends play anymore (because the game is infested with cheaters and ranked sucks), sure the game is fun and unique but exactly what i said (and many others have said) would happen in closed beta, has happened:

cheaters gone unchecked
ranked has seen no improvement
people are leaving the game in large numbers

theres nothing to work towards and even if there was, barely any legit players from oce or asia will ever reach whatever there is because of cheaters
casual is just not fun in this game, fills are drones and there are people cheating even in casual gamemodes, its insane
the game is inherently competitive in nature so competitive should be the main focus (not sorry, noobs)

Guys, PLEASE, change the Steal Cashout challenge to count when your team cashes out. This is the third time in 2 days I've been griefed while stealing the cashout. I've had teammates kill me with gas, slam the floor under me and just now a teammate put the dematerializer under me on the 4th cashout as I was stealing it, and then quit the game after.


I know it’s fun to say “git gud” etc, let’s just think about how this challenge compares to others.

While I encourage difficult challenges, especially as the season progresses, I think this one needs a little tuning for the reasons below:

1) It is significantly more difficult than other objective-based challenges in this rotation, for example “Win 4 Power Shift games” or “Win 1 Bank it game”
2) It requires basic competency from teammates to be able to distract enemies and prevent disruptions while you are stealing a cash out. Completing the challenge is therefore not a measure of your own skill, but also your teammates.
3) As other players also have this challenge, it encourages ignoring the vault and hoping other teams will deposit it so you can steal. If you’ve played a match yesterday where the vault sat unopened for minutes at a time, this is why.
4) it encourages selfish play, griefing and team killing. Yesterday I was team killed with a gas grenade as I stole a cash out with two other teams wiped. In another game, a friendly heavy slammed the ground under me, disrupting the cash out so he could steal it.

Ultimately, this challenge requires team effort but only rewards the individual.

The simple solution is to alter this challenge so that if your TEAM steals a cash out, it awards you progress. That way people who play medium healer that focus on keeping the stealer alive can still get progress, or Lights who prevent enemies getting close / do back line harassment.

To be fair, it's day two and I'm on 14/15 where I managed to get a double steal on one cashout, and then a steal on another, which massively helped.

I'd still advocate for the challenge criteria to be adjusted even if I had completed it. I had the same issue with 10 cashouts on week 1. It just wasn't enjoyable because of the amount of times I felt like the team let me down (for instance, a light wanders straight past them, through the bubble, through the 2 barricades I've put up, and zaps me)

A challenge is a challenge, but my bone of contention here is that this one in particular allows for teammates to ruin your progress either through inability, or through malice, whereas any of the other challenges are more down to your individual ability or effort.

Just got 15/15, thank fuck for that.

add fsr3 fg. FSR 3 doesn't double the input delay. Yes, an input delay is added, you're right about that. However, this input delay depends on your FPS.

Let me explain this with detailed examples.

Let's say you're getting 60 FPS in the game, and your GPU usage is at 99%. If you enable FSR 3, it will take about 15% of your GPU usage. This will cause a decrease in your actual frame rate. So, your real FPS will be 51. But when you activate FSR 3, you'll reach 102 FPS. Visual smoothness will seem like 102 FPS due to interpolated frames, but the input delay will be as it was at 51 FPS.

The input delay at 51 FPS is 20 ms.

The input delay at 60 FPS is 16 ms.

In the real 102 FPS without FSR 3, the input delay is 10 ms, but since we're using FSR 3, it will be 20 ms.

Now, let me ask this, especially to those who claim 'FSR 3 adds too much input delay': 'Would you prefer to play with a 16 ms input delay at 60 FPS, or at 20 ms with the smoothness of 102 FPS?' I'm sure none of you would notice the 4 ms delay, but you'll enjoy the added smoothness in the visuals.

Now, let me add an extra note here.

This game puts a heavy load on the CPU due to explosions and building collapses. However, FSR 3 mostly demands GPU power. Most people who experience low FPS don't have their GPU usage at 99%. GPU usage for most people is around 70%. So, when you enable FSR 3, it fills the gap in the GPU without causing a loss in your real FPS, which will increase your FPS. This means: someone who gets a stable 60 FPS will get 120 FPS with a 16 ms input delay.

Day 44 of me begging the devs to give heavy an M134 Minigun as a Specialization.

  • 200 Round magazine, ammo is restored two bullets every second, 100 seconds for a full reload.
  • 20 rounds per second, eleven damage a round, 220 DPS
  • Falloff begins at 30 meters down to six damage a shot at 50, but wide spread means the weapon becomes less effective past 10 meters even against larger targets
  • bullets do high damage to structures (should be breaking walls in 20-50 shots) allowing a mid-range option to output mass destruction (destroying entire walls on higher floors of buildings, ripping apart nesting sightlines)
    • significant damage to structures and players
    • gun can be pre-spooled with RMB over having an ADS (for obvious reasons, you try to aim down the sights of a water cooler)|
    • high suppressive force through sheer amount of bullets being fired
    • its a goddamn minigun
  • - Heavy cannot jump or sprint while holding it, has to switch back to primary
  • - lengthy equip-unequip time to balance such, no “pocket minigun” strats, choosing to use this is a commitment
  • - gun has to spool up for a second before firing, spool up being LOUD

Embark consistently nerfs everything besides medium's favorite gun the Fcar, sure they removed Recon sense even though it was useless to begin with, but heavy was dealt with a Nerf. The Lewis gun the heavy had was about continuous fire and damage with it's short mag, accurate fire, and long reload time, but since they decreased the accuracy for it you really don't hit anything with it and therefore you don't do any damage for it unless you do cute little bursts. It makes no sense though because M60 was basically turned into a Negev from CS2, but takes continuous fire to even trigger the accuracy buff and at that point you're already on low ammo. The heavy basically lost its ability to defend themselves with the fact the mesh shield has been nerfed, and glitch grenades will automatically trigger when hitting a bubble Shield. Since they basically nerved both heavy and medium in certain ways, they have basically made a light an overpowered class for a small amount of time before then they also nerfed the Light by soon to be nerfing the stun gun and decreasing the amount of time you have when you're cloaked( A whole playstyle of flanking gone). If you noticed that every ranked game gold through diamond has turned into a toxic meta where people will only spam APS turrets, Guardian turrets, gas mines, explosive mines, healing beams, and the mega accurate Fcar. The way you remove metas is you take the stuff that's falling behind that's not in the meta and buff it. You don't take things that's doing well and you nerf the life out of them, it doesn't work that way. The moment you do that you've created a worse meta, you've created a toxic meta and people leave. Proofs there too, just a few months ago The Finals used to have 34000 people playing now it's Zig Zagging 16000-7000.

Double heavy is the most oppressive strategy and is abused non-stop in competitive.
Heavy is currently still overtunned, you just haven't mastered the class yet.
Once you do you'll realise it needs harder nerfs to their burst damage / sustain.
Game works a lot different at higher ranks but i do agree they do need to buff m60, that's a good change.
Light is wimpy against competent teams, u can make it work but it's a very high skill ceiling.

APS: Proactivity and fck your projectile problem (Day 12 of asking)

. to start off, i love the idea of the aps, the ability of being able to defend an area locking down a room is fun
. but its just unfair in some situation all because the "fck your projectile" part of APS.
for a weapon like the GL that shoot projectile you basically lose the fight automatically
. and for powershift its basically mandatory to win (that gamemode need a rework tbh)
. its also a one and done. meaning once you place it down it just stay there forever

Light would immediately become a dominating force because they have enough health to pick stupid fights and win through sheer DPS, and heavy suddenly loses all respect he has both because of the previously stated and simply not being tough enough to take a hit much better than the other classes, you’d be taking the tank out of the tank. Absolutely not.

@proper ore if they keep nerfing heavy the way they have heavy won’t have anything left. Incessant complaining is smothering the class, and meaning parts of us that should maybe be buffed like our weak viable weapon roster have gone unnoticed. How about we instead tackle something else, like maybe bringing the weakest parts of light and heavy up to the level medium has sat itself on since launch.

Like gods sake double heavy isn’t even that common anymore, 80% of what I see plat+ nowadays is MMH or MMM, heavies can barely peek their heads over the torrents of lobotomized support mediums deciding games by holding left click on someone else on their team. I don’t need to work hard if I make someone else in my team survive dying three times over through healbeams and defibs, and if I dare need to fight I have the gun equivalent of the game holding my hand through not only some of the games best guns, but the games best gun. FCAR does everything but shoot itself at this point with how powerful it is compared to its ease of use.

How do you know the changes were coming weekly? Also, saying "Other games had bigger cheating issues" to downplay the issues this game is having is not a very healthy mindset. There are a lot of players, especially in higher elos who are running into cheaters incredibly often. Paired with how horrible this season's ranked system is and losing hours of progress over a single loss to cheaters, it's a serious issue. This game has a cheater problem, and that doesn't change just because other games have or had a bigger cheater problem.

If a teammate disconnects, a few things could happen to the team to give a small advantage:

  • Equal distribution of respawn tokens to all team members (Only if they have properlly abandoned the match)
  • Lower the respawn timer on teamwipes from -25% if one disconnects and -50% when 2 disconnect but make gadget cooldown not regenrate

Unless ur double heavy yourself, not much u can do unless they do something super stupid.

Heavy can keep his tank status but then I'd rather he lose his burst damage, not sure why heavy has the most reliable burst damage & most health & most sustain in a fight.
Best bet would be lowering height of barricade a lil (buff & nerf) & make his rpg do 80 dmg but recharge x2 or even x2.5 as fast.
More RPG for rotates and less for chimping + more fair to fight him as any other class.
Shield is still super good for team fights & charge for burst/rotate

Still too much of a shift. The health totals are fine, nerfing mediums oppressive presence and not nerfing things on light that are fine like cloak are what need changing on lights side of things.

Heavy hardly has the most consistent burst anymore, RPG is just easy to use and fast damage, a half-decently thrown grenade will do more damage than an RPG, and you get more of them more often, C4 is a rotten husk of what it was, so you can’t argue that for burst, and you sure as shit can’t argue nukes, those have been dead in the ground since launch.

Leave barricade alone god damnit, you’ve taken enough from us, and making barricades shorter does guess what, make the head glitching thing a medium issue, not a heavy issue.

Most sustain is only by virtue of, again, the single digit IQ medium validating stupid gameplay behind him.

Shield won’t be fine if they keep nerfing its HP by 100+ every month.

Is it really though? Do we call deciding fights, not through skill, but by making an enemy fight someone on your team three times to actually kill them healthy? Because that’s not winning a healthy way, that’s winning because your team has a medium on it that has the effective health of three mediums and one/two extra lives, and even the best players in the game are not usually suited up to deal with a 6v3.

The problem is only magnified the more mediums you have, because suddenly any damage you deal that isn’t a kill is invalidated, and even kills you get can be completely mitigated if not immediately capitalized on, and “immediately” is usually when half the cast is still reloading their guns. Plus the amount of mediums who will just drop everything and mindlessly waddle up for defibs because it’s just that effortlessly effective is sickening, there’s no skill expression, no higher thought, there’s “fuck it, they probably can’t kill me before I get away with this, and two of us together can probably kill whatever’s left of that dude”.

Heavy is able to massively increase his and his teams survivability through shields, but at least he has the decency not to invalidate the damage you do deal to him. You bust a mesh shield and it’s gone for that fight, you break dome and it’s not gonna be off CD before that fights over unless it’s massively dragged on (and in any of those cases you can guess what made that fight last so long(hint it’s mediums)). Medguns are all but fucking bottomless as long as you never let them overheat.

double heavy is the most oppressive strategy in the game and if you don't realize that idk what to say, heavys dominance strictly comes from the great utility it has: Bubble, Barricade (which def needs some sort of hp tuning), RPG, C4, and Mesh. Now multiple that by 2 plus a heal beam medium pocketing and it makes it the best strategy in the game. Not saying that other strats like MMH or MMM are not good, HHM is just by far the best in the game

Feedback qualm I have is the system integrity violation where you get kicked. From a coding perspective, I know there is typically a way we could point to the culprit of it. Like if the error is triggered it should point to the culprit on my system in the error/kick message.

I get it very occasionally and it's always inconsistent in its occurences. I've tried disabling rapid triggers on my keyboard and it doesn't seem to have helped.

Well it must not be that oppressive because from the middle of Bronze to the middle of plat I haven’t seen it played for shit, and the few times I have seen it have been mixed bag games. Yknow what I do see a lot of? Two to three mediums jerking eachother off with healbeams, crawling over eachother like feral animals for defibs, and melting anyone who does anything to contest it through the sheer uncontested efficiency of the FCAR.

Dome is fine and has been for months, mesh loses 100+ HP a month and by season 3 if the trend continues people are gonna just stop running it, barricade headglitching is literally only good if your aim fucking sucks (seriously if by plat you can’t train a head for shit you got worse problems than the meta) and C4 has been a joke since the season started. Heavy is publicly disemboweled twice a month while medium gets front row seats, I will not be told now that he’s the problem child in the current meta.

Also RPG could do 5 damage and some of yall would still whine about it, but fine, nerf its damage by another 40 and watch how people will still bitch about it because it’s still being used at all for combat, I’ll just swap to frags and show you kids what real AoE damage can do when I can splash your whole team for up to 160 twice, even thrice a fight.

You're gonna have majority of players gravitate to medium just because its the standard/default class for new players and also its the easiest class to play (I will admit that). Also comparing what being used in in lower ranks vs whats meta is clearly too different things. You can't come to a conclusion that HHM isn't the best for that reason, like I said before since medium is the easiest class, you'll see a lot more MMH and MMM.

My thing with barricade is that the HP is insanely high, it takes more then 2 mags break. Also the height of it makes it impossible vault over and the with combination of those two things, it makes nearly impossible to get through an entrance without explosives

RPG imo is fine where it is, but like i said in my prev post just having two of them on team makes so you can basically kill a player in a spilt sec and puts your team in 3v2 scenario making its really good

I feel like the part where im in plat seeing plat and diamond lobbies running the exact same stuff because it’s just that good is being missed somewhere. My point is that the meta doesn’t change from the lowest rung to the highest, its support mediums as far as the eye can see because it’s just that disgustingly efficient.

Barricades are chunky but only against small arms fire, explosives make quick work of them and elemental grenades are extremely efficient at flushing out corner-turtling heavies. Barricades are strong, I will admit that, but anywhere from mediocre grenade use to just good aim (which when the meta is 90% laser-beaming autos isn’t uncommon, most players past gold know how to train a headshot with their rifle of choice) can answer barricades very well.

You can vault over barricades as any class, it’s a matter of what’s above the barricade. Smart barricade use can bar doors and seal holes, which should not be changed for any reason.

RPG shelling one person out of a fight is strong yes, but so is just throwing four grenades in a direction of a team and letting god sort it out, and in either circumstance, APS isn’t uncommon in all ranks for a reason,

@subtle solar We need a better report system. Rank is filled with cheaters. I played 5 NA rank matches this morning and 4 of them I played against hard aimbotters with walls shooting through shields. Why are we wasting money and resources on the anti cheat when it clearly doesn’t help. We need to spend our resources on a group of people that prioritize reports with video proof and get these cheaters ban on the same day. Make it easier to report with evidence and advertise the new report system every weekly update. It’s ridiculous, all you have to do is watch the top streamers stream and you will see how bad it is. Please queue EU/Asia Rank right now and I guarantee you you’ll get more than 1 cheater in the same lobby

Until suddenly someone does do that legit and they’re banned for playing the game. The moment you start adding “ban player for doing X” scripts that don’t have extremely forgiving tolerances people start getting false bans, a lot of people.

Lewis does not need more nerfs. The only guns that do RN are FCAR and LH1, and even then, other guns should be buffed up more than they need to be nerfed down.

@cobalt lava medium is a shining example of why the best support shouldn’t also be the best damage, and the best generalist, because there’s nothing they can’t do. Fuck I wouldn’t even mind FCAR if it weren’t for the fact that every other gun is basically meta based on how well it works into a medium with an FCAR. Medium has become a Brawl Meta Knight, half the meta is decided by how well it can answer medium and it’s nonsense.

@vocal rampart must be nice for medium to have each and every one of their weaknesses get an answer. Wish light and heavy got half that love.

So when I was introduced to to the game I was told "play with a set up that is fun for you to play with" and I have been playing light sense then because I find it fun. So when I am here and I see people asking for the light to be removed it a bad suggestion because the game has been crafted around three classes. Lights being glass canons with high damage low health. Medium doing support. And heavy having more of a spray'n pray style. And they all work nicely but when you have a player base of mostly mediums and heavies because light is challenging to play. Complains will start coming in about "oh this and that weapon needs more damage". But there is a balance that already exists and if the light continues to get nerfed the balance will be off. Instead of asking for some thing to be removed or nerfed, we need to start asking for buffs to things.

Friday and weekends worst time to play. I have similar experience, after one tournament win with cheating team loose at the end I have 5 games in a row with cheaters, even two separate teams of enemies. So -8 fame points after such great experience.

For those of you saying “there are still so many cheaters tho”:
Embark DOES NOT WANT cheaters in their game. It doesn’t benefit them to have cheaters cuz it makes people whine and the game unfair. They’re trying to update their anti cheat. I don’t code or do any of that stuff, but I know that shit is hard af. But if you think you know more than an Embark dev that is trained in comp sci and game security, sure go ahead and whine.

Give constructive feedback..you can say “there are still cheaters” as an update to embark devs so that they know it’s still a problem. But whining and cursing out embark doesn’t do shit except make yourself look bad.

Its not about spending money, i have purchased some cosmetics myself to support the devs because the finals is my favorite game atm and i want it to be playable but seeing the game in this state is just frustrating. This is a competitive fps game and a really fucking good anti cheat should be their number 1 priority, nothing else. Like hell a HWID ban cant be that hard right ? Thats just one thing that comes to mind and im sure the devs are capable of doing better.

Sure, but setting static limits creates problems unless said limits are completely unobtainable, in which they become redundant against a lot of cheaters anyways.

That is what I mean by the devs not thinking the challenges through. They seem to think that doing something more times is more fun and the more difficult the task, the more times you should have to to it. They are not thinking about how it takes away from playing the game WITH your team or how much frustration is generates. They are looking at data and saying, we could get more of this by having players do more of that. There is a reason players are not performing the actions their data is showing as rarely executed compared to other aspects of the game, it is because most players don't like that aspect of the gameplay. To them, it is all about the data. That makes it even more frustrating. Different players like different things, but just because a small percentage of the players like doing some things doesn't mean it should be foreced on everyone.

Ok. I have a massive complaint. Im just gonna say it... YOU are the problem... Yes YOU. The one reading this right now. You make BAD balancing requests. Why? Because you are inherently biased! You are thinking about balance from YOUR experiences playing the game mode that YOU play the most playing the class and loadout that YOU main. This game is rock paper scissors NOT CALL OF DUTY. If you want to play a perfectly balanced game where you have an equal chance at winning against any class in any senareo, go play battlefield, cod or xdefiant. This is not that game. To counter a class or build that hard counters you, play with YOUR TEAM. If you don't counter that build, your teammate probably DOES!

Well this isn't as true anymore because you guys RUINED the rock paper scissors balance with your TERRIBLE, SHORTSIDED, NAIVE balance suggestions. Now, ak, fcar and lewis gun are just god tier at any range and the meta is stale af. Like, why do these wepons out damage strictly close range wepons at close range? It makes no sense. Fcar should NOT win against sword or shotgun close range EVER because you bet those close range weapons will never win at range. Every gun should have a clear strength and weakness.

I think what needs to happen to appease everyone is have separate weapon and gadget balance for ranked/competitive play vs casual play. Maybe ban certain gadgets in gamemodes where they ruin the experience (sniper and aps in powershift for example).

New Weekly Content Idea, The Chair Update! Every light user gets restricted by sitting on a chair throughout the whole game. Skins for the chairs can also be bought and unlocked, When the match starts, lights move 10x slower than heavys by sliding their feet to move the chair (you cannot lift the chair, only painfully scratch the floor moving it). Jumppads or ziplines cannot be used, if used they fling off the chair and lay flat on the floor untill wiped or respawned. its honestly a buff for lights. happy_friend

Grapple hook recharge based on distance grappled or travelled with grapple, with up to two or even three charges, but only at very short ranges. would also need to increase cooldown dynamically per charges used within a rolling [normal/current cooldown duration time in seconds] window, with each additional charge used increasing recharge by no less than 65-85%, with the increases stacking in tandem (or in layers, depending on what performs best)

this would allow for greater flexibility if you accidentally tap your grapple in closed quarters, or want to chain a few swings alongside a building.

The Healing Ray has a bug where occasionally you will enter a match and the healing gun wont work for the ENTIRE MATCH, it will turn on, but it is incapable of locking onto teamates, this bug has only one fix, and that's switching your build ENTIRELY in PowerShift, but if you're playing anything else, then screw you.

in general the difference in movement speed between classes is not nearly wide enough
also, riot shield is completely busted. even when they're swinging or sprinting, there's no evidence of a frontal opening in their defense. they can just beat the fuck out of you and you can't even fight back. no balance recommended, just remove it, it's a stupid weapon for this game

i think the med assault rifles need a rework all around to their respective roles, the akm's fire-rate should be slow but does more headshot damage thus making a great close to med range weapon, the famas needs a aug scope and have its falloff damage buffed, thus making it the med- long range killer it should always been, the fcar is the jack of all trades it can be used all ranges but doesnt make it great at either but a good all rounder

4- make the practice map accessible with party no matter if its two

You gain no advantage for destroying equipment if the cooldown starts on placement.


There is no reward for destroying equipment, it gives you no advantage or window of opportunity, if your opponent can simply replace it when it is destroyed. Take the APS turret for instance. It doesn't have a set number of charges, and it deletes glitch grenades. Destroying it should give you a window of opportunity to get grenades on the platform.

But because it has a 30 second cooldown, it means that by the time you've found a decent angle to destroy it, the medium can just put it back.

This problem is exacerbated with two or more mediums. And this problem extends to the guardian turret as well.

I believe a fair balancing solution would be to begin the APS & Turret cooldowns when the units are destroyed. Dismantling the turret should also incur a cooldown based on the remaining health of the device.

This change would keep the strength of the APS & Turret, but reward attackers with a window of opportunity once the equipment has been destroyed.```

been noticing some fps drops ever since the last update, unsure what causes it, actually stuttering slightly at times and dropping down to sub 100 frames on a 4090 and a 7800X3D

  1. Absolutely not, being able to one tap any class was half the mentality behind gutting the nuke, and at least those had a minute long cooldown.
  2. Removing things from modes is not the solution. Power shift platform in general should have better cover than it does

I think that whenever you receive money, it may be good if it was clearly displayed. For example, when starting a cashout, if + $2000 showed up, similar to the "detected" warning

I used to play this game every chance I could get but now I hardly play it, I don’t know what you could improve but I was good at the game then I went back on after a while and I was terrible, now i feel like if I get back on I’ll hardly have fun. Idk thought I would just say this. And change the randomly generated names please I don’t want to be known as gorilla enjoyer 8272 it’s so annoying for inviting new friends.

Is it possible not to get banned as soon as someone's game crashes? My friend's game had crashed twice within a month, and every time he restarts the game he gets a 10 minute ban. Is it possible to change it? Like you should not get punished when your game crashes lol. Or at least make the "quit" time longer? idk

The stun gun should be replaced with a stun aps type gadget. So it would be a placable gadget that would have a damage radius just like the aps that stuns anyone inside of it. This allows light to have a defensive gadget while also making it more balanced as you can just shoot it and destroy it

Sword should definitly have an intern cooldown after 3 hits, that's bullshit that the small could do -292 in 4 hits, that he LITTERALY can't miss, and I can only shot like half a magazine before I'm dead

Player blocking doesn’t work, I was put into a match with an AFK heavy, I then chose to leave. I searched for another match just to be put into the same match again (I blocked him here), I left that one just to join back the third time AGAIN. Fix the game

I said this over at steam but I'll put it over here too. Message for the Devs, please add this feature:
If you read this, please give us a way to disable health bars, they are just too big I can't see anyting when I shoot from long range. I want too be able too see only the enemy.

  • M60 needs an identity that differentiates it from the Lewis Gun. They should reduce its damage, but increase its fire rate, and narrow its hipfire cone, turning it into heavies “SMG” option.
  • Lewis’ recoil nerf should be reverted if we’re keeping FCAR where it is. Heavy having zero effective weapon options past 30 is hella limiting.
  • heavy should be 15% faster while holding the sledgehammer to make it more consistent and make heavy a little harder to kite
  • MGL grenades should detonate on impact with enemy players and structures, its way too inconsistent as is because of how fussy grenade physics are. Being able to direct hit people would make it more consistent without making it that much easier to use.
  • KS23 should really be perfectly accurate, at least when ADS. Having fate decide wheee those slugs can go in fights gets old really fast. I’d still love it if they reworked it into a hitscan pellet shotgun but I understand why it’s not one
  • Flamethrower needs something. It’s puny range combined with pitiful damage means you need to put insane effort into frankly unforgivable payoff. Give it back its beta range and give it some more damage.
  • anti grav cube is a 50% radius increase from going from “kinda bad” to “really really good

The biggest issue with solo ranking isn’t having a bad team, but having a team member leave the game. You automatically lose and get knocked down a peg. Zero chance. Especially with team wipes still killing 30% of your score despite being two people.

Hey I think the 4000dmg 100 meters might be glitch Ive been on the game and Been using the Sniper getting head shots but the score of it not going up, whats with that?

After my suspension expired (for leaving a match) in ranked, i cant seem to find any matches in asia. I tried all regions (turned on and off crossplay) and I still got nothing, ive waited 20 minutes each region. Are the devs aware of this?

Honestly when you lights get the stun gun nerf I am gonna laugh so damn hard. That cheese is so whack, what's funny is most people who run it play at like 2 kills 6 deaths haha... Next week is gonna be goooooooooooood
