DXGI error is an hardware issue. Either ram or gpu unstable.

angelscript can be a lot of different errors. Your fix may not apply.
If you're getting DXGI errors sure, otherwise just no.
But even then it can be system specific. Like I can be ram causing the problem, this game gets ram real hot, especially since on most systems gpu trows a lot of hot air into the ram.

Soo, lowering gpu load/wattage/undervolt may fix a ram issue. Like unstable ram due to heat but the problem itself is the ram settings and or lack of cooling.

I've seen people solving it by Undervolting the gpu, but it was a high power gpu and I guess the issue was still ram, just not getting as how now soo no crash.

Thermal vision highlights the entire dress of enemies using the wedding dress skin from the battle pass, distorting the visible hitbox of the character. This is almost like pay-to-win, especially on sniper maps like Monaco where thermal vision is common. If the game is aiming for realism, thermal should primarily highlight the enemy's body. Ideally, it should vividly highlight the body and slightly the clothing to simulate heat dispersion, but currently, it's not the case.

I have convinced 4 PC playing friends to download the game so far. All with different hardware.

Every single one has crashed constantly until I tell them to launch it with DX11 instead of DX12.

This is a huge issue for player retention. Most people downloading this to try it will give up and not try an obscure launch option.

Also, dx11 might be stable but my framerate is inconsistent because of how inefficient it is. i5 13600k 7900XT

Please fix the DX12 implementation assuming this issue lies with the game and not UE5 or DX12

I am a player from China and I would like to provide some feedback on your game, The Finals. First of all, I really enjoy playing the game and appreciate all the hard work the team has put into it.

However, there is one issue that I would like to bring to your attention. The game currently does not have a function to cancel a player from the blacklist. This results in players accidentally blocking their friends and not being able to invite them to play as a team within the game. Instead, players have to use Steam friend lists to invite their blocked friends, which can be inconvenient.

I strongly suggest that the development team consider adding a "cancel blacklist" function to The Finals. This would greatly improve the gaming experience for players who might accidentally block their friends.

Hi here's a fix that worked for me for error TFAV1012:

1. Delete these 2 folders --> "C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\Discovery" and "C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\Embark"
2. Once the 2 folders are deleted, uninstall and re-install the game. (You will need to redo all your keybinds and settings once the game is re-installed)

If you start a tournament game, then view your account stats, go back to game select you can select to join another tournament game. The original game starts, then once the second finds players you get taken into the next game. Of course you then get blocked from tournament because you left the first game.

I had some dude 1 shot me with an rpg when I was playing heavy from literally the whole length of the map away on skyway and then brought the whole entire 9 story building down. There was 0 explosions on my screen. 0 active events like orbital or metors. Just watched the entire fuckin building crumble to pieces with no other team near us or the building. I know there isn't a kill cam but the camera panned to where he was standing after I died.

Queued up for a ranked game, went to look at my contestants and went back to the main menu. When I hit play again to look at the modifiers for ranked, and accidentally left clicked. It queued me up into a second ranked tournament. Causing a forfeit/abandonment from the first tournament as it loaded into the second tournament mid cut-scene, as well as being hit with the loss of points for a forfeit/abandonment.

I got like at least 10 crashes today with the UE5 - Discovery crash reporter popping up immediately after.
One time it was so bad that after the crash, the whole desktop was filled with artefacts and i couldn't see anything, i had to force a restart.
Literally the crash can happen at any time, no matter what you are doing. One time the game crashed while i was staying idle in the menu, and for some time now, the cursor disappears when in the menu or stars to flicker like super fast.
Uninstalled the game, will install again after next patch. I hope the problems will be solved. Happy new year to everyone !

anyways heres a clip of a kill where nothing shows up in the killfeed, and i get credited no kill. I would get if he died from a hazard, or self, or another enemy stole the kill, but then wouldn't something show up in the killfeed? i mean, i watched him turn to coins. whats going on? this happens a lot to me btw and always assumed it was a kill steal till this clip

Weapon skin not updating; I bought and equipped a skin for the medium shotgun but when I start a round it doesn't have the skin equipped. After the round when I go to customize my loadout to make sure I have the skin equipped, it shows that I don't have it equipped. I had also unequipped a sticker when I equipped the shotgun skin, and it shows that I still have that equipped. I have tried unequipping and re-equipping everything, as well as restarting the game but nothing has worked so far.

Found a sort of fix; the skin updates for other medium contestant save slots. It also works if you delete the contestant and make a new identical one.

If your monitor has an option for a crosshair there's that, mine does and I have a cheap ass 4k monitor. Other than that, I bet you could use either Windows Xbox crosshairs don't think Nvidia overlay has that. I don't bother tho, just sayin. 😉

Honestly, I have about 120 hours in this game right now and the hacker issue is a bit out of control.
I see so many hackers now that I'm gold and it feels so hard to rank up now because of them.

The game is broken from top to bottom at the moment, if its not random crashes, disconnects, not being able to load the game due to anti cheat over sensitivity or even cheaters when you do get in the game. All that good they did pre-release and on release is going to go fast if they don't fix it soon. Its a shocking state of affairs at the moment. Think releasing the last update jhust before holidays was a real mistake for sure.

I also faced a similar situation when your service was initially launched, but it didn't recur after the bug was fixed. However, about 10 days ago, following an update, I found myself in the same situation as when your service first started. Regardless of whose account is logged into my computer, that account gets banned before completing three games but becomes playable again the next day. Yet, on the following day, the account is kicked out before completing three games. Despite shutting down all possible software and hardware causes, I still find myself trapped in this cycle. when I was trying to undervolt my CPU to stop The Finals from roasting it, the only time I got the angelscript callstack error was when my CPU undervolt was unstable. so disabling XMP in certain situations could definitely fix, although in the cases that it works, I would update bios.

Just wanted to give a possible solution for PC players with TFLA0002 connection error. Im located in sweden and i tried starting the game once using a VPN with a source connection inside sweden. I launched the game once using said VPN and i was put inside the game menues normally. After i disabled my VPN and used my default network (sweden also) I can play the game without TFLA0002. The connection error that has plagued me since the 28th of december, probably longer has been resolved.

I should add my home network and provider gives me a dynamic IP.

How to find this bug? Have anyone throw a pyro grenade at a riot shield directly (It has to hit the riot shield)
What should be happening? Ideally the pyro grenade should burn that area and remain on the floor - even when it is thrown at people directly, however since a riot shield is a surface pyro grenades will get stuck to it and follow the riot shielder till they die.

While I was trying to get my Twitch Drops, first I got an error due to absence of account connection. I checked my Twitch, and it all was fine with Steam. When I clicked "Connect Account" under the drop on Twitch, site with my Embark Profile opened. What is happening? - Loadouts not saving
How to find this bug? - I noticed that when I update my Medium loadout, the changes save in the main menu but when when I jump into a game, everything gets revert back. It first stated as not being able to remove the sticker on the weapon. I can change the skin and charm and it would save but once I tried to unequip the sticker, the weapon skin would reset. Now its doing it with the entire loadout. I can change the sticker and the laodout and skin will save normally.
What should be happening? - Loadout and weapon skin changes should save without reverting back.
Additional details: - I have not been able to pinpoint where the bug starts but this has been occurring for multiple days now and the only clue I have is the the weapon stickers. This is also with the AKM (have not tested other weapon)

the game was causing a permanent burn in artifact on my monitor (even after closing the game) that looked like it was related to the scan lines on the spectator cam. Resolves on replugging my monitor. one other person in general chat was having this issue.

I fixed THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE by TURNING HDR MODE OFF and also not using HDR on my acer monitor. hope this helps.

If you queue up in a 3-stack and you leave the Group, it's likely to appear that all three player experience a different "state" of the game.
For example: I left the group, one of my mates got queued up and went into loading screen, the other one (leader) wasn't able to stop/leave/restart the queue.

On controller and mouse and keyboard there is a bug where your character will continue to move in the last direction you were inputting after taking hands off of keys/stick. So in a gunfight if your character starts suddenly perma strafing right if you start to go left your character will just stand still and you lose a lot of gunfights this way. It isn’t stick drift cause i tested both controller and MnK and it does it for both and the movement dead zone setting doesn’t seem to make a difference.

If someone had the problem of crash of the game after 1-2 game, I found the fix: you just need to find the “file integrity” in steam (idk if it’s the real name because I have steam in Russian language) and if after the examination you have some file that download, you do all right and the crashes will stop. Partial M11 bolt inaccuracy on various screens and gameplay states.
How to find this bug?
Simply look at the M11 overview, and during gameplay.
What should be happening?
The M11, based on the MAC-11 I presume, is an open-bolt machine pistol. This means that when the gun is loaded and ready to fire, the bolt is held back and the ejection port is open. The only time it would be closed is when it has fired the last round in the magazine. There's plenty of videos and diagrams online that show how things should look.

I understand that The Finals is not a milsim; it's a fun, arcadey, arena shooter focused almost exclusively on mechanics and flair. That said, the weapons in The Finals appear to be based on real counterparts and having them reflect those real counterparts accurately might be less confusing/distracting for people that are familiar with them without affecting the people that aren't familiar with them.

It means the server froze. Your game isn't crashing, it's a security feature to boot you off the game when the server breaks.

Hey, I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended and support couldn't help so I'll report it here (I would appreciate some feedback from Embark if this is intended).

I got kicked several times in practice mode with error code TFGE0002 while I was trying to configure Gyro Aiming with my Switch Pro controller and Steam Input. I googled and some people think this code is related to anti cheat, so I never teste d it in matches.

I now have the fear to get banned for using Gyro aiming. I'm not using any shady third party software, just plain Steam Input.

Was this a false positive of the anti cheat or is it not allowed to use Gyro Aiming via Steam native settings? I used the "Gyro to Mouse" mode so Aim Assist is not working so IMHO this couldn't be considered cheating.

So is it a bug or a intended anti cheat measurement?

There are actually 2 issues here.

MISSING_ANGLESCRIPT_CALLSTACK - This can be fixed by turning OFF XMP via the bios. (D.O.C.P for AMD users)

DXGI_ERROR - This usually implies that the version of your DirectX is either outdated or currupted. This can be fixed by WIN+R and type "dxdiag" and run the diagnostic tool. This will fix any integrity violations with DirectX. You could also try forcing dx11 via steam.

I've ran into both of these issues, and this is what I personally did to resolve them!

Verify game files on steam, then open CMD as admin and type "/sfc scannow" you probably have some corrupted drivers preventing boot. You could also uninstall and reinstall the anti-cheat since this boots before the game gets actually launched

I think I found a reload Animation bug:
When having equipped the special reload animation for the AKM, it works as planned when pressing R to reload but when you empty the mag, the game instead uses the classic reload animation instead of the equipped special animation.
I found out about it while playing and being confused about the hand movements of my character when reloading.
It's a pretty small bug since we've only got one unique reload animation in the game yet but it'd be nice for it to be fixed once more animations get into the game

People not being able to play the game is harmful to their bottom line, and I'm sure they understand that and are working on it.

I'm not going to open my wallet until I can run the game in dx12 with my high end PC and get a constant 170 fps. I always support f2p games that have good concepts by voting with my wallet but these technical issues are where I draw the line.

Additioanlly It's just a harder bug to solve than a visual bug so it takes longer. Also, I'm sure the skins/cosmetics teams are mostly separate people from UE5 crash bug fix people.

I've been having a persistent issue with ADS, randomly un-ADSing/ going "haywire", in the middle of firefights, causing me to lose my advantage on first shot landed; and more often than not, causing me to lose the exchange. I don't recall this issue exsisting in the BETA, but I have definitely been experiencing it since launch, and I'm seeing several people post about it on reddit. I have noticed that at the most random moments while shooting that my ADS just stops and causes me to hipfire, essentially setting me up for failure. I use LT as my ADS. You don't need a fancy program to get controller aim assist on a mousr and keyboard.

Just have your controller plugged into your PC while you play with mouse and you get mouse+aim assist lol.

Problem with the FCAR skins. Can't re-equip the LE DOWNSHIFT one after selecting another one from Rank ups (for instance the Red color). It shows me that both skins are equiped at the same time but the running LEDs don't ever show up anymore on the rifle. And i can't unequip them.

AI can detect mouse inputs that are not human-like. it's how all those different captcha-style integrations on websites work. a recoil script will always use the single same or a few same repeating mouse inputs that can be easily detected. a human can't possibly repeat pixel-perfect recoil control time and time again

This isn't a bug but I don't know where else to say this. I'm often connected to a ranked match with only one teammate, instantly putting us at a massive disadvantage. I've got a bug for you guys. So I jumped on a jump pad, and there was a player below me, we were above some trees and I did the heavy melee ability to crash downwards and landed on top of a tree, but I think the tree's hitbox was an upside down triangular prism as I just fell down tothe center of some cone, and was in an infinite falling animation and I never completed the melee, to be fair I was killed about 5 seconds into the perpetual falling, but it didn't seem like the animation was going to end

@torn rain I have posted the fix for this twice here just today alone. Delete the discovery and embark folders from appdata/local and then verify the game on steam. I wish a mod would pin one of them. you will have to reset your controls and settings. Discord also has a search function, use it instead of posting the same thing every 10 minutes.

Do people have massive frame drops? It's quite rarely but after some destruction my fps drops from 70-80 to 5-10. When I got killed by someone, the fps directly goes to 70-80 again. When I go to that specific destruction in the map, my fps drops again to 5-10.

the summary is that the weapons in the finals always fire out of the centre of the screen, but the viewmodels of the sights move with actions performed in game like walking, reloading, weapon sway when standing still etc etc.

This also applies to the crosshair which moves with actions performed in game as well, so attempting to pre-aim a target with the crosshair before ADSing can cause missed shots too.

this makes some guns very inconsistent to use. This has been an issue since beta with no noticeable fix or change made yet.

hey guys! when i boot up the finals it doesn't show that I'm playing the game on my discord status/activity. It shows it on discord for a second when the little bootloader with easy anticheat in the corner is up but once the game window actually opens and the bootloader window disappears it won't show on discord anymore.

Many times I've experienced a zipline not actually placing when I'm using it with the Medium. It is consumed, and I have to wait for recharge, but nothing appears. I've had several bugs in the last week.

The first bug was that, in the middle of the game, when aiming (right mouse button) at a target, the weapon disappeared. You could only see the hand. After releasing the right mouse button, the weapon was visible again. This happened several times.

The second bug occurred while I was playing as the light character, a swordsman. Suddenly, I could only turn and move 180°, whereas normally it's 360°.

The third bug was also severe; you couldn't fire any weapon, no matter which one you selected. As soon as you restarted the game, these errors disappeared. For your information, I have set the video settings to 'window'.

There is a mound of sand in Las Vegas 2032. If you drop the vault onto the sand pile, it phases through it and is at the bottom of the pile. The sand pile has collision on for players, so no one could pick it up. The vault doesn't despawn either so we had to wait the whole game. I had forgot to record it, but it happened.

Even messing around with the "Mouse Focal Length Sensitivity Scaling", when you disable it, the sniper's scoped sensitivity gets TOO FAST compared to other guns, and when you lower it down to match a good sensitivity for the sniper, the rest of the weapons get REALLY SLOW. And seems like it's not really a me issue.
