His message definitely has layers, like he's been waiting for someone to ask. First of all, the concept of having just "scratched the surface" means there's something deeper. If we take the "level" approach, perhaps there is something "deeper" than level 3? He did mention level 5 before. That's one interpretation at least. "Scratched" can mean a couple of things. First of all, it seems like a hint towards cats to me seeing as that part of the last machine kinda went unused, and cats love to "scratch". So much so they even have "scratching surfaces". It also implies that in our completion of the ticket hunt we literally "scratched" something. Maybe we're looking for some kind of scratch in the actual game world. Scratch could refer to a record or CD scratch, idk just brainstorming. The other strange thing is the "surface" part. We interact with a different "surface" (the manholes) to actually progress further into the EE. These are also often associated as a point of divide between the surface and subterranean areas. It could also imply that we're looking for a texture or change in one of the surfaces around the arena. And as mentioned before, it implies depth. Idk that's my over analysis of this single sentence

this might be more lore than EE, but since we're talking CNS, i read neuromancer a couple months ago and i can't help but feel like a lot of the lore will tie back to it, especially related to CNS. Central Nervous System in Neuromancer is basically a hackers lifeline, and without it, they can't access cyberspace. The main protagonist has his damaged, rendering him incapable of accessing the cyberspace, which is his motivation throughout the book since he loses all since of identity without it

Actually, there's a few things here that kinda connect.
There's the Tyet 𓎬 which is the symbol of Isis, there's the Djed 𓊽 which is the backbone of Osiris and the crook and flail which is also known for Osiris.

Did a little digging into this and learning about nullptr and function denial connecting with the theory that we're trying to crack through a firewall of sorts.

This being a reference to The Curse of Monkey Island Part 4, when you make a compass the main character says: "Neat! It points North! Science is fun when you know the secret!"

However, the compass is made from a bronze mug filled with water, with a cork and magnetized needle. But I was thinking, maybe this clue isn't about north, but instead about the mug. A coffee mug is topologically the same as a torus (which we have on syshorizon).

I counted the stones in the center and they go: 1, 6, 10, 17 which is pretty much close to the golden ratio 1.6180 and maybe it could be 1 + 0.6 + 0.01 + 0.018 and so on but no lol.
However when you add them up though they tally to 34 total stones which is a Fibonacci number.
After a quick google search wild roses typically only have 5 petals (like in this pic) but until we started to grow them ourselves they had more petals.

I also estimated the count of the outer circle to 57 (perhaps 55 stones which is also a fibonacci number) and 55/34 = 1.6176 so very close to the golden ratio

I have a theory it's a bit complex but the short of it is the PR is a clock made by Dr. Franklin known as ‘The Franklin’-three-wheel clock it almost perfectly matches the dummy movements and PR map there are some other details the shooting range is the like Weighted metronome the dummy in the yellow container could be the Center of the main face but I'm still trying to put it together

I was doing research on the different maps and something occurred to me (SYS$HORIZON) could be a hint to it's Connection with another map the phrase "sys-horízōn" can be traced back to ancient greece with a literal translation of "with the boundary,"or "the combined boundary"

"NOZOMI" is a Japanese word or name meaning "hope" "wish" "fruit" "beautiful" or "sea," and citadel is simply defined as a fortress, typically on high ground, protecting or dominating a city.

There is also a type of rose called 'Nozomi,' a low-spreading shrub with light-pink and white flowers. Very similar to the ones in game on alot of the maps

This could be relative to the poem “roses are red, that much is true,but they won't stay red if you don't give them dew.... they need a good drink, not coffee or tea, maybe plain old water, perhaps straight from the sea.!”
Maybe It has something to do with it being a clear night or something with the the condition Time of Day on this map or it's just another hint
