I’m thinking, because the theme for season 5 is meso-America, the language could be Nahuatl or Mayan of some sort? Mayan uses a lot of consonants which is why we have a seemingly awkward combination of letters on the Death By Rhodent shirt last stop. It is worth mentioning that the cover of the movie has a big, giant "X" to mark the spot. If we could have help looking for X's, I think we may actually find something. Right now, we don't know (I guess if we knew we wouldn't need to look for it). Rob calls it "the big whoop" as a reference to the sort of "ultimate treasure" from Monkey Island.

I can only speak for myself here, but I imagine a lot of people hunt just for the sake of finding something, or solving a puzzle, or working together to crack and connect a bunch of clues, because the process itself is fun and the payoff of getting it right is itself a very fulfilling reward.

But there is a "final stage" and "big EE-hunt-solution" as Rob puts it. That's what we have Diamond clues for. Right now we're stuck on Level 3 though
