You can't really cheat the system, it gives xp based on time spent chatting. To get xp you have to chat and then it goes in cooldown for a minute. Every message sent during that minute won't give xp, you have to send a message a minute later so you're still just spending time if you're coming back to chat every minute.

I don't find the ultimate pass items appealing, so it's a non-issue for me. Normal battle pass + bonus pages to show the dedication works for me. As a F2P model, additional paid options were always likely on the way. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything without the ultimate stuff.

I think the rationale is that they want to maximize profit, and considering they give multibucks away as rewards for certain modes, at the beginning of the season with the email, etc., they would be making less and less, so they wouldn't be able to be as generous with multibucks handouts if folks are going to turn around and use them for the ultimate battle pass. They'd be eating into their potential profits.

Ultimately, I think restricting it to cash vs. multibucks gives them more leverage to do multibucks promos, etc. without pulling from profits. (Though that could just be my wishful thinking.)

But I'll put a lid on it, since we're not in #⚡┇the-finals-chat 😉
