Just making the loot from pve untradable solves everything.
You still have the mode open for new players/trying new classes or quest junkies to play without being spawn rushed by overgeared players with thousands of hours in norms.

I think they should just bring back gear cap for norms. Full BIS and triple rolled purples+crafted in norms kinda compensating sort of energy. Not saying that zero to hero can't happen, but I find that this is the same predicament 2 years ago before brackets were introduced. It's just not great for the new player experience. Yes, ppl can avoid PvP by playing adventure but PvE is boring, let's be real -- not to mention F2P can't even use the market so how are they supposed to compete? I think people want to overall feel rewarded for time spent playing the game, I've played both when demigod was a potential 100+ game grind and when it changed to 30-40 games, I prefer the latter.

The game should've gone fully Free to play, I don't mind that I spent 50 dollars for a skeleton skin and a blue torch if it meant players actually flocked to this game

Sad fact about any f2p system, and no anti cheat or moderation can possibly stop it. The genre itself facilitates cheating with its seasonal wipes. In f2p games like league of legends, it can be really annoying getting a new account up with all the characters you want and this kind of friction deinsentivises cheating because getting banned and creating new accounts is just an annoying and tedious process, but in DaD it is very easy to just start up a new account and level a new character in hours.

It sounds invasive and people smarter at programming than me have mentioned that if it is ever discovered how to exploit it then it can be very bad for anyone with riot vanguard installed. In any case, i doubt DaD has the kind of resources or experience to create something like that without it being potentially really dangerous for the user

The fact that the game is an fps fantasy looter experience that doesn't involve twitchy gun play is exactly why I love it so much. Feels like most 'action' pvp games these days are all shooters and im kinda tired of them. I wanted something new and as someone who adored old fantasy games like oblivion and skyrim this game was something I've always wanted. There's simply nothing like it.

The cosmetics add a fair amount, to me there's not enough community in this game. There could be bounties systems for friend lists, or universal emotes that older players have over fresh gold farming accounts. VOIP interactions, organic teaming to deal with geared players. They catered really hard to streamers who had issues with things that developed naturally in the game. I'm glad they removed the looting delay for dead bodies, it's never been a better time to be a dirty rat rogue.

So many people are against teaming in normals even when they're out geared because the idea of teaming was beaten out of their heads through enforced rules.

@formal gale If you want to be more aware of if someone is cheating, go on youtube and look at the cheats people spam. Biggest giveaways are insane attack speed for a weapon that shouldnt swing so fast, if theyre hitting you way out of their range, or any kind of rapidfire. Also alot of the time if they are cheating their swings and you getting hit dont match up at all.

SSF mode for the first two weeks of the mini season. The marketplace and trading post will only become available for the last 2 weeks of the mini season.
All character levels, items, inventory, quests, and affinity will be reset. The end quests will give 'artifact' items rather than cosmetics.

Escape from Tarkov does that pretty well, no nameplates adds an element of realism that makes fighting in darkness and tight quarters more threatening and debilitating.

They only added nameplates back to random matchmaking because random players often don't use voice comms and end up swinging on their teammates.

Its refreshing and makes the darkness more of an obstacle instead of searching for a nameplate in the dark so you don't swing on your teammates.

boring:

1. its a replica of wizard. same mechanics (aoe, projectiles, casting speed) and narrative (elemental) of the spells. for example - warlock is different and interesting magic class
2. base idea of variety, combinations, and spell merge do not work. everyone runs the same build and use same few abilities, because of meager set of spells, its no interesting combinations in the end. it do not create interesting gameplay with any set of spells. and cus of imbalance of this spells (some of them useless and some op, its obvious by the numbers). spell merge do not work cus with the changes of class u delete its peculiarities. now its the same casting speed and gameplay as any other magic class
3. global gameplay is nothing new or original. its the same projectiles + aoe + melee
4. final version of flow with the current cooldowns and casting speed is forcing u to play "running marathon" which is boring for both of u and ur enemy

imbalanced:

1. too much dmg with too low casting speed. its the wizard but stronger. even electric aoe is the same but do much more dmg
2. too much knockbacks with low cooldowns, high casting speed and huge dmg. just think about how melee classes can catch it. they need to have serious skill gap or tactic advantage or specific build for that, which means its imbalanced. + they cannot win ranged battle
3. too strong melee for a magic class. longsword - best (op, imbalanced) melee weapon. huge slow and action speed debuffs from electricity and ice
4. among its own spells is huge imbalance. for example - Lightning vortex is so much better then Plasma blast. it have similar spell recipe, u sacrafice getting damage to urself, u have timer on it and LESS dmg. lol

yeah naw fighting a druid feels pretty relaxed in comparison to a barb since most barbs just never end the pressure, a druid's pressure is arbitrary and based on class knowledge but a barb if he decides to walk at you you kinda gotta use your brain to try and not get in his melee range
