my argument is they are preventing the existing player base such as the solos (majority of the DaD's playerbase) a place to continue playing outside of the dungeons as random matchmaking was removed + arena gear not being ssf so not all solo players can/want take on 1v3s for hours on end waiting for the weekend they would literally rather just "wait" which implies the likelyhood of playing a different game which is a detractor for the gameloop in general. finding other solos is more unlikely as those solos are waiting for the weekend arena, pve, or even worse enjoying themselves on another game which should be viewed as a dectractor in the eyes of iron maces player retention metrics. if arena was open there was be more incentive for people to actively play at all times to farm gold for an arena that is open rather than hoping they log on the day that arena is open or hoping they farmed their kit before arena closes.

Warlocks torture mastery should only heal recoverable HP, they already stack magical healing, so their potions heal for 30+ health, change torture mastery to 25% scaling but make it only heal recoverable health. They're too safe in the dungeon and abuse their healing to be one of the best boss killers in the game.
Make ruins the first floor for every dungeon, keep ice map and goblin caves queues up, but make it so there are red statics that can take you to every map from ruins. A watery cave entrance for goblin caves, a forest module with a layer of snow heading to the ice caves along with stairs leading to the crypts. Add a boat to take you to the new water map when it comes out.

I like the idea of ruins being the first floor because it keeps the amount of queues from growing too much, you can still queue the lower floors like goblin caves and ice caves but since we have continuous dungeons they could constantly have players going in from higher floors. Plus the water map adding another potential 3 queues isn't gonna be good with current player counts.
Maybe but I like it because it add variability, and with the idea we added it also add lots of little interaction, between your teammate to share the map, some item that you can find to help you navigate in the dungeon etc.

I also want a goblin caves 2nd floor, make a spider cavern, spiders and goblins seem to not like each other and it looks like spiders come from below and kill the goblins in the modules they're in on goblin caves. There's only one module where giant spiders and goblins are both located and the spiders are one floor below the goblins.
If they continue to add maps and floor there needs to be some rotation or floors being unlocked throughout the season.
Imaging if season started and Castle of Ruins map is not destroyed, there is no curse no deadly mobs. There is completely different map and you can go down to crypts but not to inferno. And later in the season everything changes curse of midnight attacks the caste and we are back to destroyed Ruins with inferno open.
I think Fog of war could also help with the Solo player in trio lobby thing SDF try to do. But I don't want to give him good idea to make that happen xD

Character Identity Through Artifacts
While im not a big fan of permanente progress in extraction games i think this one could work. It gives you renown in the comunity like leaderboards.
My idea is that once you find an artifact if it was lootes by you, there is a way to attach it to your soul. A special trial starts and once you complete it, that artifact is part of your character. You can't lose it and no one can take it from you. But, you can't unequip it and that is the only artifact your character will be able to attach. Unless you delete that character or until wipe.
If balance is a problem, you could make it start with gray item stats but keeping the ability. And each time you extract, the weapon upgrades one rarity simulating how you usually get better gear between games. You go back to gray if you die.

Make 'Arena' an in-game event.
Certain days out of the month, players who choose the ruins map can go to the in game Arena section.
2 sides of entrance, when you enter the gates close, only way out is the other entrance, once two players are in there they are locked till only 1 is alive -- 1v1s only
Players that survive get the spoils of the kill + a small rewards, they have 30 seconds to stay for next round or leave via blue or red portal
This would reduce a que, and give players something to do that directly incorporate the game itself.

True, honestly I just want to make them more rare on boss drop but add more way to get one. Each have low drop rate but you can get one by several way. It's kinda like that right now, there's spot where artefact can spawn loose on a pedestal but the drop rate difference between a boss and this is so huge that it's a miracle if you found one "on the ground". Like in key room, or I think you can get one in the treasure room in the middle of Cyclops/Troll and Banshee/Knight. But the drop rate are miserable compared to the several% of a Lich or GK etc when it can be harder to get there than to kill Lich or GK some time (especially the key room, there's not worth at all compared to bossing in terms of artefact drop)

you can hop in PvE mode and get some practice sooo. lets go and enjoy exploration
so make solo play even more unenjoyable with no positives got it. you know the queues wouldn't be impacted at all with how it's currently set up right

The result of semi-wipe experiment that pushed 90% of content creators and 70% of the playerbase away:
- no more duos
- teaming is encouraged in solos
- no gear brackets - timmy stomping is encouraged
- no more +ms rolls (don't worry, ms meta is still here, but it's really expensive - build agi on everything)
- socketing no longer gives you max rolls (BIS is more valuable, reserved only for sweats)
- less hp for everyone
- all gear has +1 base stat
But lets also look at the positives:

Estranging most of your playerbase to make experiments that could have been avoided (by modifying things incrementally) would have been ideal. It's not healthy to use your entire playerbase as free testing 2 years into EA.
Great job making balancing much easier just to revert everything so now it will be just as messy as before with all the random mods.
The future does not look bright. Considering how insecure all the balance changes have been so far, imagine what will happen when they add that "new system" sdf mentioned that will make random modifiers not needed... It's going to be messy and we will probably be lab rats again.

solos will continue to get destroyed in trios and then there will be no solo players running in trios, its already skewed to have more teams as no one wants to 1v3
if you want "natural" or organic then having the option to team-fill would achieve this as its not forced
why is common zweihander's damage lower than common longsword's? Zweihander is the bulkier and slower compared to longsword so it should have a higher damage output, also the zweihander does not have a riposte option for tremendous damage.
Too heavy and long to riposte, but maybe a block would help.

Rock, paper, scissors emote should have same reqirement as handshake involving stowing all weapons.
Just saw a video of someone repeating the emote until they land on paper and using it to fake handshakes with a windlass crossbow equipped.

The ability to make notes in the friends list would improve the game.
By the way, by increasing the gap between the body/limb multiplier and headshot damage, you've made it harder for new players to win fights since they don't really care where their hits land, while pros will always aim for the head.
So either you bring these numbers closer together to make the game more enjoyable for new players, or you widen the gap even more for some 'skill expression one tap tarkov' nonsense.
I like skill expression, but 200% is way too much — it just leaves new players in the dirt.

@keen onyx Dungeon recovery system is apparently still returning gear to players if you were in a team automatically. Dungeon recovery is supposed to be gone entirely except for adventure mode.
It's 2 different feature. What's called "Dungeon recovery" is the goblin giving back the gear still on your body at the end of the game after you died. The fact he give you back the gear that's yours and that your teammates extracted with is normal. It's meant to avoid people just team killing you and stealing your gear. If a teammates try to extract with your gear the goblin give it back to you
alright I understand that's a feature when matchmaking exists and artificial restrictions. But now they have clearly changed direction back to the original game and actively want anything to happen like it used to. They want people to team up and whatnot, which is fine, but about betrayal and backstabbing? If that happens and you loot them their stuff just goes back to them from the recovery. This just seems to conflict. And what if I met a person and did the handshake, if he dies. He if pick the stuff up, it goes back to them? That's just weird.

Remove HR from the game. It serves no purpose, genuinely. Make each level of your crypt map increasingly difficult with more nightmare/elites as you progress. Ruins mobs are easy, crypt slightly harder, hell harder still. Rewards increase with difficulty. Combine the player pools.

The number of mobs on the map (especially in HR) in some modules is too d*** high. having 15 nightmares in a room isn't interesting, it isn't fun, and it's only frustrating for pvp. There is no reason to force players to either sprint through modules and lock mobs away, or spend tons of time clearing (especially for newer players)
cut the pve by literally 50% in some of the more egregious modules.
- Stop splitting your players into 20 different queues between maps, normals, adventure mode, hr, etc etc etc. You need 2 modes. A premade mode, and an LFG queue. 2 queues total. Premade and LFG. You can queue as 1, 2, or 3 in either of these modes and optionally fill your party in the LFG mode.
Embrace the strongest parts of your game, and stop splitting your players 100 different ways. DO NOT bring back gear score queues, ever.

Every single friend i've had play this game expresses the same thing. How annoying and unfun the PVE is. How obstructive and intrusive it feels. This is especially true in HR. It isn't fun, it just isn't. It's not that the mobs aren't killable, or that they can't be mastered, it's that they stand in the way of the actual fun parts of your game. Bosses taking time and being difficult or risky is a different story. Filling every module with lethal npcs is miserable, and boring.

Stop making new maps. Nobody cares about your pirate map. You're adding more ways to split your small playerbase, when every map but crypt is ALREADY dead. If you do keep adding new maps, you need to find ways to incoorperate them into the main gameplay loop, not add more queues.
- Finally listen to your community. The people who love and play your game. There are coutnless examples of immense backlash for changes that NOBODY is asking for or wants, and you do it anyway for the sake of the vision. If you want anyone to follow you to your end state, stop the flip flop changes, and stop the direction switches. You've changed the same perks 5+ times, and more in some examples and your game is in pre-release state.
You aren't going to have a following left if you don't figure out what your game is and stick to it.
You're already at 10% of the players you were at on steam re-launch. The way the game is currently, with all of the complaints listed above, that number isn't going to ever grow. You have a 5+ year project on life support and you're STILL making the same mistakes you've claimed to have learned from many times at this point.
People are tired of the excuses. They mean nothing at this point.

It isn't about skill or not skilled. It's about an unnessesarily obstructive part of the game, that every "new" player i've asked to try the game (more than 10 of my own friend group) have explicitly expressed as a point that makes them not want to play the game.
These are all players that are gamers and statistically great at many other games. It isn't something they can't learn to deal with. It isn't that they're "too hard". It's just not fun - objectively.

Slayer needs a separate subclass weapon (or class, if a separate Slayer class is created), initially a paired weapon. With different attack mechanics and different damage, armor penetration, and movement speed penalty characteristics.
This is so that the balance of Slayer's weapon is not based on someone else's weapon, which makes it difficult to adjust damage due to class conflicts. (For example, short swords have low damage because they can be used by rogues, who get a damage buff from invisibility.)
This weapon should have a paired block to block attacks or even reflect some spells with the fighter's ability, so that the slayer does not need a shield and his blocking skill depends only on his abilities. At the moment, the slayer is forced to strike a plate-armored fighter 10 times, while 1 parry from the fighter kills him with 1 parry attack. There needs to be a way to block a sword counterattack.
This weapon cannot be used by fighters without the Weapon Master perk (I will explain why later).
This weapon should have a significant slowdown when hitting an opponent. At the moment, the short sword and the knight's sword do not restrict movement, so the result is that the person always runs away after 1-2 attacks from the slayer.
This weapon should be easier to carry in your hands to compensate for the Slayer's low defense with its ability to maneuver in battle. -
Combining the Dual Wield and Slayer perks (a quick option if there are no plans to create a new class or they are in development, which may take time) This option allows the Slayer to take an additional fighter perk that will increase his survivability. It also prevents armored fighters from taking the Dual Wielding perk to create hybrids in armor.

In the absence of the Breakthrough skill, some kind of long-range combat ability is needed.
A) Add a nuance to the Slayer perk that the 10% bonus to action speed will work on all of Slayer's weapons, simply by having this perk. And not only when two swords are in his hands. This will allow him to quickly maneuver between the weapons in his hands and on his belt.
(Currently, there is a terrible delay where, after firing a crossbow, you switch to swords and cannot attack for 3 seconds, which is either a bug or something else. The Breakthrough ability should ignore all repulsions and the Wizard's lightning freeze. (This option is not bad, but in a team game, no one will allow the slayer to run to the other end of the room. Sometimes it is simply necessary to fight only at a distance, because the slayer's offensive abilities are significantly less than those of a barbarian, and such a risk with weak armor and no magic resistance will simply make him a madman running to his death).
C) But I do not deny the possibility of these two options together. But we are not building a god, right? He is still afraid of magic and physical damage. He will simply get the opportunity to somehow resist some of it.

could be a chromatic hobgoblin (advanced hobgoblin) or some form of bigger goblin.
Goblin champion (armored big goblin)
Goblin Ascendant: makes surronding goblins stronger (like how the imp heals mobs)

Adjust headshot modifier you donuts, nothing is fun when you get 1-2 tapped. Ttk is too short already to justify a 200% headshot modifier. Pickaxes shouldnt help with anything except mining (door breaking mentioned above is fine) (I say this as someone who holds a pickaxe for doors and piles)

I know this has been said before, but I won't be able to move on until I say my part. "Ironmace" has created arguably one of the greatest games to hit the market. At one point, we sat for hours using a torrent to download something only to be able to play it for a few days. Now we sit here worried about what they are going to do next to push the rest of the committed players away. They throw these patches at us like we are lab rats and most of us end up being "killed" in the process because it seems like they have a dart board with all of their ideas and they cannot seem to hit a bullseye. I can remember them thanking us for all of the valuable data that we gave them in the past and now it feels like they look at the data, wipe their asses with it, and throw the next shitty idea at us.
Honestly, it was good while it lasted, but in the end, **** you, you deserve what happens to your company.

I personally think they are backing themselves into a corner with the new map the game desperately needs progression and other elements added into the pre existing dungeon in order to add a sense of worth and accomplishment that isn’t hoarding wealth. This new map looks like it has some really nice elements and may even be the best, but even if it is it sets a new standard that’s not reflected in the other maps leading to even more dead lobbies in the 3 other maps

The current state of the stat meta does not allow golden cloak to be viable vs its cost to craft. Especially since they buffed all the cloaks by 1 stat and golden cloak was left untouched...The reason Golden cloaks got nerfed was because people complained about all stats... if we are just going to put it back in the game on rings and necks why not just make golden cloak 1 all again and make it actually usable.

Well, if that’s the case then you are aware that the head dev has ignored quite a lot of feedback back from the community. So when I say “our game” I’m saying I mean a game that has a developer that doesn’t actively make decisions in favor of things that the overwhelming majority of the player base, have said they do not want. (I can understand a developer knows more about games then the average gamer, but if you’ve been hear since “early play test “ then you know that he does not explain his actions either, which is kind of the hole point of a patchnote update…so that heavily indicates he’s hiding his true reasons or he’s simply doesn’t know what he’s doing.
“Our game” would not have constant contradiction, and flip flop, and a lack of any actual new content for 2 years. It also wouldn’t have a head that that openly insults and threatens the jobs of his employees.
Read the above message for your answer. Also just to be clear I’m not telling you what to do. I’m just asking because I truly believe the head dev will not learn any other way and he doesn’t deserve the success he’s been gifted by us.
I get what you're saying, but we have seen a lot of content, I've explained this before but we've seen 5-6 new bosses; 3 new maps, new weapons and armors, classes, the squire, monsters, Sub bosses, crafts, gemming, expressman, static extracts/delves, a PvE mode, 3 tier dungeon. Overall balance has headed in the right direction imo, I play most classes but main only a few. Gear gaps have always been an issue and the recent change to headshot damage that was proposed during patch 69-1 is here and I fully enjoy it, I wish random rolls weren't as impactful but I get the slot machine aspect of gear rolls feeds alot of players enjoyment. I wish that goblin recovery was in normals at the very least instead of just adventure mode, id even take 1.5x scrap cost for the buyback.
Id still like to know what exactly you'd want for the game in your own words.

If you look up statistics this is false. There are obviously some things the community is split on. For example barbarians wants buffs other classes want barbarians nerfed, because it’s in their own personal interest. So it’s up to the dev to make someone happy and someone not…..how ever when the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of the community is saying “Please don’t ever put that back in the game” and then the dev keeps putting it in and taking it out…that’s not sdf listening to the community is it?

The problem with that is it will be abused by people who are there to farm the bosses and valuable mats.

I can kill HR troll in 1.5 minutes in base kit, you're gonna need a longer buffer, but that just makes games feel stale. Forcing people to wait for a boss door to unlock isn't the solution for people who don't have gear, it's easier ways to get gear in the first place and that's adventure mode.

Make ruins the first floor for every dungeon, keep ice map and goblin caves queues up, but make it so there are red statics that can take you to every map from ruins. A watery cave entrance for goblin caves, a forest module with a layer of snow heading to the ice caves along with stairs leading to the crypts. Add a boat to take you to the new water map when it comes out.
Happened in 2 games now, killing druid in bear form doesn't proc moral boost if you are a barb.

Im against map rotation. It just makes people wait for specific maps which is annoying for the people waiting and annoying because it makes certain maps complete ghost towns

True, either that or in addition add a rotational map queue for ruins only, where it cycles between solos and duos, and only their respective maps gates are open, like solos only has gates leading to goblin caves open, and duos ice caves, the static ruins queue has trios obviously so it leads to crypts.

Yeah I could see that working, and I could see the rotational queue for solos and duos having the option for both their respective dungeons be open to delving into and maybe crypts as well, like solos can decide to delve to the goblin caves, ice caves or crypts, and duos can choose to go into ice caves and crypts. Just an idea but I like to think they come up with a solution that doesn't split the playerbase anymore
Plus I think the Expressman is a great concept and it not being useful for goblin caves at all is a waste. God I hope we get a second floor for goblin caves in the next season, give me the spider cavern PLOX

I feel like the game is actually in a good state right now the gear changes are actually good adventure mode is great for new players and solos and duos is back even though it’s map specific. But there are 3 glaring issues. 1 being able to bring gear into normals(this was how the game originally was. But after a while basically no one was playing HR this cycle is repeating itself.) 2 headshot damage being at 200% ( they tried to implement this a while ago with major backlash and reverted it, they are making the same mistake again the only difference is there’s so much other bullshit going on there’s not as many people talking about it. This game isn’t valorant or cs go or mordhau, a lot of people who play this game don’t have the best aim but can still win with positioning, movement and map knowledge. All the headshot changes do is make the game more sweaty than it already is. The only people who like the head shot changes are super sweats who don’t understand this game doesn’t have a mmr system so there just stomping people who would never be in there lobby’s in a competitive game.) 3 (for the love of god give us new stuff. Weapons, armor, skills, perks, spells, ect.)

Can we please make it so that ice mastery can't be rendered null by jumping? I have to assume that's not an intended mechanic. Whether it is or not, it shouldn't work that way.
Honestly while I'm at it, ice mastery should just be built in to the ice bolt spell and not take up a whole perk slot - considering that sorc can freeze you for like 3 seconds, launch you backwards, make you float/launch in the air etc. without needing respective perks to make their spells do those things. Maybe ice mastery being a perk would make more sense if wizard had more than a single ice-type spell, but as of now it's very silly.

couldn't agree more. But the issues we see and the ones they prioritize are like fire and water.
Yeah, and additionally on the subject of comparing wiz to sorc, considering sorc has no spell charges/unlimited casting (albeit with short cooldowns - big deal, build a little resourcefulness and the cooldowns are negligible, especially when you have 10 spells to cycle thru), you'd think for the sake of balance, that the perk (spell overload) which gives you an actually reasonable amount of spell charges wouldn't have such a harsh punishment of 20% knowledge reduction: I think 10-15% would be plenty fair, or at least increase the sage perk bonus (gain 10% knowledge bonus) to 20% or something. As is, if you want to have a reasonable amount of spell charges without having a laughably slow spell casting speed, you have to have 3/4 perk slots taken up by spell overload, sage, and quick chant, and/or practically not be able to build anything other than knowledge on your gear. So I've got those 3 perks on and then have to troll with ice mastery as my 4th perk since I can just keep dreaming about being able to build move speed, and thus my only option for creating any space is spamming ice bolts whenever a player gets near and hope they don't know the exploit of just jumping through it. Sure, I can build some MS if I wanna have a mere 84 hp or 5% MDB as a trade off, right? Well I don't want to be one tapped in the head by literally anything or have to hit 15 spells to kill anyone, so I opt to use ice mastery instead of building MS, but oh wait, if they just jump as I hit them with the ice bolt, then ice mastery does nothing.. VERY COOL.

I was thinking of a way to dissuade cheaters in the dungeon and kill Arm Tea at the same time, i think the "easiest" but probably painful in terms of the community accepting this approach is to remove incentives from the reason people cheat in dungeon in the first place which is to get the bis gear, and advantages in dungeon to get players bis gear. If they capped normals and HR to epics only and make it so that lego, unique, and artifacts are only obtainable in arena and they would need to add a boss element to arena where the winning team gets to fight the boss for the artifacts and in order to get the higher loot pools you need to be a certain arena rank, I think this would change the direction of the game and have less hackers in normal dungeons, this might make them go to arena but I feel like arena is too fast paced for hackers to really benefit other than esp for invis rogues but even then its a small tiles so there isnt crazy leverage. a direction to remove marketplace and make items of all grades purchasable from the merchant tabs with rng rolls for gold. so the only reason you go to dungeon is to find epic gear to start fighting in arena and to get gold to buy better gear such as legos and up from the merchant vendors after completing quests to unlock those stronger gear and items. probably still have fightable bosses in normal dungeons but its looked at as practice as the bis loot comes from arena bosses.
this would essentially kill Arm Tea and remove most advantages from cheaters in theory.

WTF is those N.oo.B ironmace want to do with Rogue
And those Ironmace keep do the same thing they did to season 4 or 5 trap solo player in goblin cave can't play ice cave or crypt because they can't use brain to think

if we put map rotations back in, i feel like it'd be best to do some sort of system where you can't queue into a random lobby with the same other team multiple times in a row
like maybe keeping a list of players from the previous lobby and removing queues with those people, and bringing it back to where 2nd and 3rd floors are seperate. Like yes, it makes inferno dead, but it's fun to fight on the first 2 floors and then not have as much competition on the 3rd. or even just make ice abyss/inferno not bring from other lobbys. Super true, IM has no experience, they don't understand anything about pvp in a full loot game, they don't understand anything about skill expression and what the word competitive means. Another beautiful thing, Most "pro" streamers use automated macros to cast spells with the sorc and also combos with the druid.It's very easy to understand if you play these classes and watch their live streams.So what's supposed to make the sorc slower and more difficult than the wizard doesn't exist. It's a garbage game.

How hard is it to make a dark forest map. The players want a reason to play. Give us pseudo uniques (modifiers that aren’t stat related, or give exceptional stats to one point while keeping additional rolls). More damage variance on gear (10-15 diff per rarity) and larger hp pools.
It really shouldn’t be this difficult.
Additionally, get rid of classes, let people make whatever build they want and have certain stat points a requirement for specific gear slots.
Lastly, layer all the dungeons and create some more open maps. It’d be nice to have an actual adventure in a fantasy pvpve game. The maps are lacking and force pvp in such an unnatural way for a dungeon.

We've had forms of multiclassing in the past, people don't want it. Pseudo uniques exist in the form of semi artifacts, a dagger that causes the drunk effect, boots that heal you for standing still, a shield that reflects 5 damage for a successful block. Bigger damage/defense variance for gear was what the game once looked like during the 2021-2022 playtests, a green weapon was 50% stronger than a grey. Ive wanted ruins to be the first tier for every map connecting all maps through a first tier for a while now. Expanding on more valuable POIs for players to explore would be nice.

Sure there should be more, but this is an early access game, we can expect to see more eventually. I guess I play enough early access games that have fallen short on road maps and meeting expectations that I give them more leniency than most people tend to.
Project zomboid took over 10 years to get things in order and it was well worth the wait.
The devs focused too much on balancing the past two years, we shouldn't suggest they rework gear stats again to make them more meaningful, instead let them focus on like you said, adding more items. I would like them to at least poll the community to get a gauge of opinions and what the people want. Otherwise everyone starts arguing and nobody feels heard.
I agree with the last bit, but nearly 5 years in development and blaitantly ignoring the playerbase is detremental. They'll need to step up their game and start pumping stuff out.
Otherwise, the AI based game development will beat them and nobody will play this anymore.

Make normals solo self found minted and "looted" gear only. This could be the solution to many players issues with heavily geared players in normal lobbies
All lobbies should be SSF, market only for consumables,keys,craftables and crafted items(crafted gear included)
- Make people work for materials - add random ore spawns around map+add Gem chance drop from mining
- Change drops on bosses who drop materials and give them chance drop full crafted items etc.
i feel like a fundemantal problem with a lot of the classes is the fact that theres a lot of perks that are "if you dont slot this your throwing" tier. Couple that in with an already low pool of good perks on some classes it makes the game REALLY stale after a wipe or two. A lot would need to be changed to make stuff feel right and balanced n ironmace dont seem like they know what theyre doing unfortunately. (examples that come to mind, shapeshift mastery on druid, bards perk to skip notes, fighters perk to use any weapon, etc. These should be incoperated some how base kit, and maybe made better with their perks? i honestly dont know, but as it is now, a lot of classes really only have 2 perk slots)
They need a skill tree with limited points but more in depth point specking and more skills so people can fine tune builds.
That or give us multi class for a week. (Yeah I know some very vocal people didn’t like it in the past, but the games already dead, let some of us have fun for a week or so).

I do really enjoy the headshot damage modifier rn, but I'd love to hear why you would want it changed.
I enjoy the slower paced combat, being able to respond with strategies and tactics from both sides which i feel is lacking with the head shot modifier being so high causing the time to kill (And hits to kill) to be too low for my enjoyment.
In mellee combat i feel like it just boils down to get headshots or you will lose. Before you have a little bit of wiggle room, time to swap in another player to take your spot so you can get away and heal, time to respond and react like reposition on the terrain around you to get an edge so you can pull though, if the opponent was hiding behind a shield you can whittle them down by hitting around it even if you cant hit their head, now leaving your head open for attack while you whittle away is far too risky as if they trade with you mid swing you are far more likely to loose.
Getting 2 shot with a 2 handed weapon on ether side (Attacker or defender) dosnt feel rewarding, im left wanting more and disappointed in the fight. I joined up because this was a slower dungeon crawl, now with the faster fights it feels like a faster paced pvp game akin to alot of other solely pvp focused games which i just dont enjoy, i want this game to have more a focus on pve with pvp being a looming threat, not the whole point of the game, theres arena mode for that.
PvE side of things is a little more annoying if you stuff up, not really putting me off the game but trying to introduce people to the game is extremely hard now thanks to the arches/crossbows + other mobs that aim for the head. No one is going to want to play a game where you get 2 shot by a mob over and over.
Hopefully i made my view point a little more clear, its quite hard to put into words exactly why i dislike the quick time to kill mainly thanks to the head shot modifier.
For more context, i mainly play as a trio with good communication on discord, main class being cleric but also playing fighter, barb, warlock as second picks. But i do try and play a bit of every class though each season so im familiar with that they can do so i know how to respond.

I can see your point do you think a solution could be making headshot reduction for plate helmets higher? I do like that this change made PvE more threatening and also in the same breath easier to beat because they take more headshot damage.
Blocking is more valuable now that taking a hand/ arm hit is 1/3 the damage of a headshot.
I just really enjoy the speed of combat, I think if they allowed us to have a bit more PDR/HSR that would increase the hits to kill just enough to make fights feel less in the favor of 2h headshots.
I dont think increasing the head shot reduction on the helms would be good enough because alot of classes dont get access to them, while that may not be a problem for me, my whole group has stopped playing mainly because none of us were enjoying the quicker time to kill. Some of those players also play squishier classes like ranger who can be one shot.
While increasing pdr may increase the hits to kill for the 2 handed weapons, i foresee issues with other weapons hitting other areas tickling instead of doing meaningful damage increasing the feeling of 'the only thing that matters is headshots' which is an issue in my eyes.
I find that feeling an issue because that makes the game feel way too sweaty and competitive, a feeling i dont enjoy when im trying to play games to relax by putting myself against a challenge i know im going to enjoy.

I suggested the headshot reduction for plate because you would expect a front line to live more than two 2h headshots but not a rogue or wizard.
You can get far more movement to move your head out of the way of headshots, I think the ability to swivel your body to avoid headshots offers a lot of literal wiggle room when fighting in melee and even when being shot at with ranged attacks.
I like that headshot damage makes it less about stat check and more about overall accuracy, as compared to last season where health stacking PDR rogues just walked into you with weak point attack and stabbed you to death
I agree with you on the case that health stacking wasnt a good thing for the game and needed to be changed.
I found the 'funest' way to play was to go in with nothing and rat around for loot, taking in what you found into the next round etc untill you lose it. Buy some cheap stuff if only one party member didnt make it out. Buying gear and trying to minmax was the worst and most boring part of this game.
I have a few thousand hours in game and win fights more often then lose in dungeon so i know you can more your head around and do in combat, but that leans more into the same feeling of thats the only thing that matters now is head shots leading to the same feelings of being overly competitive and sweaty.
I think the punishment for getting head shot is too high, iron mace has over adjusted from one end of the scale with all the hp stuff to the other.
Yeah but the issue with simplifying combat is the skill gaps will always show more heavily with slower combat people see more of the mistakes made in team fight over 30-120 seconds as opposed to 10-30, and that can be more grueling as the pain of losing a fight is spread out over multiple mistakes and compounds. Rn fights are won over a few great decisions and well placed attacks, that gives less skilled players a better chance to win vs more opportunities to lose.
Tbh they need to adjust atleast weapon sweet spot damage a lot.
I kinda dont like getting 1shoted by bardiche/halberd on kissing range by wooden part.
I figure that's why the devs chose this route, they saw how longer fights went in arena when healing was 90+ and damage was 1/2.

Yeah i can see why people enjoy that kind of combat, its quite a popular choice to have quicker times to kill in alot of other pvp games.
And yes i agree with you, longer fight do give chances for mistakes, but also gives you chances to recover from them, letting fights between roughly equally skilled teams be a little more forgiving.

I really like that inferno module with the rotating floor paths and the ones with the automatically shutting and opening gates
I think modules with designs like that change the face of combat entirely vs just basic paths to W key through.

I completely agree with you. At the moment, the game resembles surfing TikTok, just launching match after match. The game only causes irritation. You start the match out of habit, again and again, until you are completely exhausted.
Not to mention that not all weapons in this game hit the head. And playing on Slayer has never been so disgusting to me. I'm not sure if I can even continue playing... Or should I quit and wait for adequate changes? I'm tired of the game dictating who I play and what weapons I use. There is no balance in the game. And they made insane PvP. And they want people to enjoy the game. People are burning alive.

Make a gamemode for training. This gamemode allows you to go in and fight any monster of ur choice. If you die you respawn with your same loot.

The social room is the only thing worth waiting for in the next update. And new maps are not the first priority among what the game needs now. I think that the balance in the game is still bad and not enough time is devoted to it. The game seriously lacks development in depth, not in breadth (new maps are in breadth). Many classes still remain with a couple of working builds that play very similarly. The game seriously lacks variability in skills/perks/spells/forms, etc. And also in the maps themselves there is not enough PVE component, so that these would be real DnD long visits into the depths of the dungeons (4-5 floors, for example, and greatly increase the timer) with various difficult situations (for example, more different mini-bosses, without the ability to just jump on an invulnerable point and kill the entire location from it), more accessible and more interesting items with different non-imbalanced, but tangible effects (and not just +N to stats on any items, except for a couple of unique ones that are not available, and which 95% of players have not held in their hands), etc. etc.
And now the developers have been working hard for many months on another map with new mobs and mechanics, while the variety and variability of classes and balance remain unfinished, not revealed and extremely poor (the game is weak in depth, at the level of early access, and in width there is already a lot of everything). I really like unusual builds, and the only normal class for them now is the sorcerer, the rest have very few working diverse builds, and basically come down to 1-2 game options in practice.
Therefore, for me, the main priority for the development of the game is adding new passive perks, active abilities and spells to classes. Their choice is now almost zero for everyone. If you need proof, then I will describe them (it will just be a very long and difficult to read post). I have already tried many build options, thought about them for a long time, searched and tried to build builds that I have never seen anywhere, tested many different options. And I can say that almost all of them do not work in practice, even for fun, and there is almost no choice for classes. But this is an extremely important part of the game for many people, and for me personally this is the most important part of the game, by a large margin from everything else.
Besides, adding new maps will simply create an even greater deficit of players on each map (each map has 3 modes and a different number of players for each mode), and will further spread players across different maps and modes, and there will be even fewer opportunities to select players by skill/gear than now. Which will make the game worse, not better. I think this is obvious. Although a new map will give a fresh breath and increased interest in the game for 1-2 months.
If we imagine that in 3 years the game will have 20 different very beautiful maps with different cool designs, but they will all have very uniform, repetitive and mediocre in depth gameplay, without the possibility of strong diversity in gameplay, then, I think, for most people playing computer games this game will still be mediocre, and maximum for a couple of times. But if the developers decided to make a game only for a few fans, then let them continue to invest almost all their efforts and time only in creating new maps. I'm just sad that such a potentially great game started going down the wrong path.

Increase the drop rate of quest items from Lich and Ghost King in adventure mode. I've been trying to get “black matter” and “ghost crown” for a week now. I'm wearing a net for luck and drinking bottles for luck every time. And you can't always find a partner for Lich. Plus, there's always a high chance of theft. I tried in PvP mode, but it didn't drop many times either, and every time I had to fight for it with my poor Slayer class, which lacks balance between classes...
Maybe if they change how swarm works..

I like this idea. Team "tonnage" limit like in Mechwarrior sounds like a great idea for balance. Now if the game itself was as balanced and linear it might work. Random mods don't really allow for exact BR ratings on gear. But I do like the idea.

Add a bounty system for the friends list, let players pay gold to the Expressman or another merchant to put a bounty on a previous player's head who slayed them in the dungeon. Tax it at 25% and anyone on your friends list can claim the bounty. Make it friends list only so this can't be abused by preteamers, this seems like a community solution to a 3rd party issue. Someone didn't respect the 1v1 and you want them to pay? Offer 750-1500 gold to anyone on your friends list who kills them.

why not just open the map on the test server with the understanding that its got some bugs to work out, players could test it and give live feedback on what needs to be fixed. They could've used the test server like that since the beginning but they never do its ridiculous.

some people are so addicted to the game the devs would get at least a 100 or so to grind whatever changes/classes/map/bosses they add to the test server. I have no idea why it was used once for druid, once for multiclass, and then never again. In both those cases they added the changes unchanged, so like why even put it on the test server to begin with.
There's that many now. The leader boards are packed, granted some have more than one character on there, but still...people use the Test server, the data they could mine just on the daily would be a huge advantage.
at this point in development there are still ALOT of tiny details that have needed fixing the entire time and have been excused due to the game being in "beta" or "early access". Its been literal years now and nothing.

Luck works like you can get higher rarity per item, Troll pelt is permanent rare, so it cant be rolled higher, it just drops from monster, which has some "preset" drop arleady after spawn. (I guess.)

Each player must be within the same gear score range to be placed in a match: 0-24 and 25-124 for normal, and 125-224 and 225+ for high roller.

They announced they were going to lower the gear diff, which they did, so having gear scores didn't make much sense. But after a few weeks, they reverted the gear changes and didn't bring back the gear score system because the player population was too low.
What means this for me? Whats the progress, i Grind Gear in PvE and then i go in PvP with a Build?

In this context chicken squawk works as a mirror to the fighter s taunt and reduces some of that pdr but it should also pull mobs, just like taunt.

Hey All, I thought I'd give Dark and Darker one more try since what I would call the good old days. I think the devs made a mistake alot of games make, you keep on feature creeping and you end up destroying the core of the game that was once the reason why it was fun. It's simply not a fun game any more.
- Auction house - Buying power in a game that was all about finding power - the trading system before was work, you didn't depend on it but it was perfect in it's own way.
- Escaping - It used to be a thrill to escape, making it out in general was full of fun, but now it's not special so many ways to exit, get massive gold. It's not special any more
It's just not fun anymore, I consider the game a ruined masterpiece. If you ever release a classic version where it was before the auction house before there were a milion quests and merchants, when it was just about making it out.

I'm fine with the marketplace, but I think that normals should be solo self found along with vendor bought items, and high roller be the place where you can bring in purchased items.
The odds of me dropping a deathbloom are too rare compared to me just farming gold to buy one, something you could've done with the old trading system but it would've taken hours instead of minutes. The old trading system was archaic and slowed down the time spent in the dungeon vs spending time in the menus. I love Diablo 2 and still play it today, I hate trading in it though and refuse to trade whenever I can.

I disagree with you. The game needs to evolve. Believe me, if they give you the old version of the game, you'll get bored and stop playing after a couple of hours. Like WoW Classic, for example. Sure, it's fun to sit in the sandbox when everyone is green and young, but if you're thrown into the sandbox of old players, you won't like it. There's a lot that needs to be changed in the game. A lot. The game is still raw.

Fog of war deals with a lot of problems which this game have.

Back when boss rooms were random and the double loot room was its own module, it was a nightmare, you didnt have enough time to find both boss rooms, kill them and then find the loot room, AND you were expected to fight players, what did it solve exactly!?
Benefits of Fog of War:
- fixes whole lobby in one module problem
- reduces constant 3rd party problem
- reduces boss farming(real money making)
- keeps players playing for longer as quests are harder to complete(good from dev perspective)
- can help to identify players using ESP
- gives dungeon crawling vibe
- reduces stream-sniping

1 there were always those who knew of the "most sought" modules and avoided them to loot the lesser sought ones, thats not a problem for everyone, you know what you compete for

4 some quests took forever to complete and this was a real issue

- it wasn’t a fog of war problem. rooms required to find weren’t spawning on the map even when fog was removed. IM F up basically

- honestly rn it’s just boss farming simulator, not a dungeon

Fog doesn't prevent anything, but it does slow down the progress and speed at which players head to specific modules. The issue RN is people know exactly which module to sprint to, they're just upset they have to fight a boss in the swarm.
The loot quality is insane rn, you never have to focus down a POI if you don't want to. You can loot small and medium chests all match and make a ton of gold.
I really like the way the PvE feels rn, if they could keep hammering away at it to make it less trivial and more threatening. People who chase my squire kit bard in HR rn keep dying to mobs and it's hilarious. Keep making the dungeon an actual dungeon and not something that's so easily figured out. Secret paths between modules that change from game to game.
I guess we all just want swarm to get the fck out of game 
I don't mind the swarm, it actually helps me rat, but I see that people overall don't like it and their decision to remove it proved they wanted the game to feel less like a BR

At the same time I like Fog for reason you have hidden map, which made people actually explore and U didnt find ppl sitting near doors waiting to landmine etc.
You still had to search for extract point, like with Swarm and so. Swarm is just too punishing, force people somewhere and dont allow them explore whole dungeon.

Squire lobbies separate players from the core gameplay loop of getting gear and using it. If someone brought a SSF legendary kit into normals and died with it they'd lose hours of grinding vs rn where they just spend 3 minutes in the market and are hopping right back in to crush timmies.
Id prefer they add incentives to playing HR that don't force players to not play normals. You could still bring gear into normals with SSF but the risk is higher and less appealing. Being able to buy gear and use anything in HR seems like a better option to me. But I'm open to hearing what you'd prefer

Right, but if 4 legendary players go into a raid and 3 die to each other, thats 3-6 hours worth of grinding that needs to happen for them all to get back to pub stomping, have that happen over 10 games thats 30-60 hours of good players needing to grind to get the same level of gear back. Eventually they will get tired of self finding kits to pubstomp with and make their way into HR with purchased gear more readily available, fighting the same level of difficulty in geared players. Even 24 GS lobbies had min maxing lizard barbs with green hatchets.
I dont want overly restrictive gear score caps that make purple+ gear unusable for F2P players, i just want a more even playing field. I'd be fine with the removal of adventure mode in place of a squire only lobby/ normals SSF/ Market gear HR

Realistically norms should have a gear cap up to epic. Once uniques and quad rolled legendaries are in the mix, it becomes incredibly difficult for non pre-made teams and newer players to compete. It’s just not good for the long term health of the game.

It would make gear cheaper, as a surplus of supply vs less demand, besides minted gear being traded between players, if someone killed me I'd offer them minimum 2x-3x scrap cost for every piece of gear.
Also if purchased meds were allowed, then crafting materials and meds would be more expensive.

Tbh the lack of content can be resolved with additional levels to the already established dungeons. Add 2 more levels to ruins, increase the mobs difficulty, making nightmare the middle hard, the 4th level hard, and 5th level harder with a necessity to have bis to survive. Giving the players more challenging levels, harder mobs and then eventually bosses on those levels would increase interest and create an actual "endgame" for people to grind for.
Currently the player base gets to a good point in gold where they buy bis, fight, take bis, sell, buy bis, lose bis, buy bis, lose bis...etcetcetc. the main point for most of them now is to buy bis and stomp around in norms with legenday/unique gear because they are bored and have nothing to use the bis towards. the bosses on HR -they killed in bis 100 fold, the mobs become a joke because they have killed them countless times and the FEAR that was once there, no longer resides. Make the game FEARED on the lower floors, 4th and 5th floors. That is what you guys are missing. even if you had new maps, which is awesome, the end game content issue still remains. Add floors, its what makes DaD so awesome imo. Add another floor for gobby caves too.

I think the dungeons difficulty is good for anyone with 0-1k hours. After that it becomes too easy. The majority of players playing DaD are veteran, 1k+
Unlock maps and harder dungeon levels gradually throughout the season.
This would prevent players from having BiS items in the first week after a wipe to stomp others, makes progression fairer for all, reduces the number of queues, introduces a proper progression system across the season, adds events to the game.
Right now, main bosses are too easy to slay and too easy to encounter — it feels more like a farming simulator than a dungeon crawler.
I want every map linked to ruins, ruins should be the first floor and every other map a second/ third floor addition to other maps.

Not for BiS rolled blues, the demand for blue gear would skyrocket, we already saw that with 124 gearscore lobbies blue move speed boots were 500-1000 gold, so max health rolled blues and +1 all gear will become 1000+ gold for a single piece if they implemented blue capped normals.
SSF rewards time spent playing, and not how much gold per hour you can make.

Free to play player plays 10 games, makes 5k gold, paid player plays 10 games, gets 1-2 troll pelts along with his regular loot that he can sell, makes 15k. Buys 3x more gear than free to play players, wins more.
Twe self found geared players in legendary gear that took 3-4 hours of grinding to make, fight, one wins, one loses, that's one full self found kit that can't re-enter the normal dungeon
think about how the player base was distributed through the 0-24 124 224 225+ lobbies the vast majority of players played 0-24 and 224 for pvp having limits creates fairer play; the guy who plays more is always going to have an advantage
Multiply that over 100 fights, that's 50+ kits lost that can't go back into normals that 150-200hours of effort, vs spending 5 minutes buying a kit and going into HR and leaving self found normals players alone.

Id be fine with removing adventure mode and adding squire lobbies, with SSF normals up to legendary, and anything goes HR.
Squire is as close as you can get to a level playing field.

My only issue with adventure mode is the farming, I teach people how to do troll from this discord all the time and I have to deal with people farming troll pelts for hours
Im really good at getting gold farmers killed by troll though so it's kinda like a mini game in its own right. Adventure mode bosses shouldn't drop their expensive crafting mats. It should be mainly for training and making a little gold from sellables

Yeah squire lobbies are definitely what i prefer over Adventure mode, it was a cool concept, but didn't really fit the design of the game
Squire lobbies are also more about the loot, like you wanna kill a semiboss and loot a big chest before PvP you might find a huge upgrade that gives you just a slight edge over other players.

@dawn grotto can we hotfix cleanse to remove all debuffs so it isnt a completely dead spell for cleric? it's not like its that crazy even if it did considering how short TTK is with your overtuned headshot modifier crap
for the last few days before wipe (aka starting now) please let all vendors carry artifacts/top tier items and make them all 1 gold each. most ppl quit as soon as they are out of gear, this will help retain some ppl and maybe even bring some back before the next wipe commences

I play rogue, I know I have low vigor and therefore low HP. But I get one-shotted by Sorcerers in squire gear with the lightning vortex spell. Really do like 70/80% of my HP.
I think a "defense" spell: AOE + SLOW should have low damage. Right?
Rogue is Dark souls mode.

IM doesn't know what he's doing, only someone with little experience in the genre or someone who is stupid can create AOE spells that do more damage than a projectile spell.This is what made Dungeonborn a shitty game, and they did the same.

Gonna be honest, you’re complaining about a pretty decent spell here. The range is terrible and it’s not instant. If you run the second you see casting start then you live

Nobody’s saying that, he’s broken for sure. Just not in the way you think.
He can root you in the ground with his frost lightning for an absurd amount of time, has a golem that uses warlocks flame walk spell and blocks doors. He can teleport AND he can 1 shot headshot most classes in squire with his element bolt.
The aoe spell that does damage in a 1foot radius is nothing compared to all that..
It should have a delay like vortex already comes with for sure.
It's another tool in its arsenal that's anti melee and only two melee classes have ways to counter it. Avoiding being 2.625 meters from them until you manage to bait out lightning vortex when they have the capacity to one/two shot you in mid range with multiple spells is a big ask.

High roller is challenging even with gear normals is about attaining gear, normals drops up to legendary gear rn, not junk.
People go to normals to PvP because it has more players and less people ratting.
If normals had less geared players and required you to find all the gear you use, people would go to HR to PvP because you can buy a kit in 3-5 minutes vs spending hours farming the drops you need for SSF normals.
For arena can we do a map selection/ban phase like in csgo? I think that would be awesome and provide good data for future better tiles in arena
I second this, each team can ban one map in a pool of like 6.

Split the game. At start up you pick either PvP or PvE. Now there's full time 'arena' on any map that you want to play. Want to 1v1, you can do that. Want to 1v2, you can do that. Want to 3v3, you can do that too. Options boost a games popularity.
Now, you can say "But but but...they will farm PvE for loot and bring it into PvP" Ya, so what? It's the same fucking loot, and nothing is stopping you from doing it either, fair is fair.
Or, you can say "But but but...the lobbies will be empty" Ya, so what? They're empty now. You can run around for half your allotted time and find NO ONE. But just maybe...just maybe, with a full scale PvE option, it will bring in more people and then some of those might migrate to the PvP side?
Or, you can say "But but but...the people who pick PvE will get bored of it quick because there's nothing to do and they'll quit. Ya, so what?? What do you care if someone who's playing PvE quits? Hell, they just might be one of those people who migrates to PvP because they are bored.

As somebody said - do the opposite - ssf for normals and gear for highroller - you need to take difficulty perspective in mind - pve mode you only deal with normal mobs, normal you deal with normal mobs and people and Highroller you deal with insane mobs and quite often insane people
I dont necessarily think we need SSF, just limit certain gear levels - like 0 to 200, 200-400, 400+ - just an example not sure what the actual numbers should be, but make it so within the range anyone has reasonable chance of winning a fight

Its easy to explain, just what We all talking about SSF mode:
3 MODES
Normal x High Roller x Arena
Normals x HR
- Same drop rate (including artifacts etc..)
- Same monsters difficulty (but fixed for map stages if needed)
If item is marketplaced = Marked, you cant use it in normals
Just 2 different modes, same idea, just
Now it depens if High roller is better name for SSF mode. thats all.

Classic arena 24/7 for direct PvP players to have fun.

100% item safety? ❌ we can't have that. But what we can have is a Goblin gear recovery system back.
This system could be improved even further so that self-looted items are better than those bought on the marketplace. For normal mode, make SSF items have a 100% return rate, while handled items have a much lower rate or none at all.

fair even tho I played when the game came out of weekend playtests - but what i meant was compared to the base version of the mobs
and my point was to make the difficulty curve logical with the gear requirments
I think it all comes down what is the player preference in what ssf is supposed to mean:
- equal starting ground - protection from running into somebody with full bis while you´re trying to get something you might want to keep
- added challenge - here you could argue SSF is meant for highroller
For me it´s the first one
I believe high-roller is meant to be the high risk high reward style of game mode. You face bigger "challenge" in terms of monsters and you can expect higher geared opponents --> both the dungeon difficulty and pvp difficulty is reflected in the rewards - you could actually make a gear lvl requirment for highroller in order to make the risk more acceptable - by fighting a player you don´t risk your position/resources for squire kit but for something that might worth it for you.
I believe they did something in the past that was like:
you can bring gear up to blue into normals
epics and higher belong into highroller
I think that isnt a bad way to go about it - you make a fairer environment for everyone.
Yes people who want to run epics and higher in newbie lobbies just for the sake of having easy kills on everyone will cry about it but for the rest of the players it is (in my opinion) fair environment. You risk your gear but the promised reward is much higher.
Make true random modules. Stop with this square room pattern. Have an AI cut the current rooms up into smaller chunks and organize them into something Creative.
It’s wild that a full dev team can be less creative and intuitive than a rock we taught to learn..
"true random" is only if they add back Fog of war. then randomize modules have meaning.
I would split into 2 modes like Normal x High-roller
Normal = classic, everything allowed (but we need atleast one bracket up to rare/epic + 1 unlimited. (To prevent timmy stomping by full bis partys etc)
High roller = SSF, craftable entry.
BUT We need monster dificult changes.
HR Now is kinda insane, i got so many times oneshoted by one damn mistake or mishear/whatever by so many monsters in rly high gear (Rogue main..) Something needs to be adjusted.
- my idea maybe would be = Monsters on 1st floor easier, less Nightmare monster density, 2nd floor harder ... and so on. That would me fine I guess.
This also should be implemented in Normals.
In terms of drop rates, both modes same. (maybe HRxSSF better drops, cuz you risk more equipment)

To me it sounds good to bring only what you find to go in. even from previous runs, becuase you had to make osme effort to get those items, not just re-buy from market. (i find this re-buy gameplay all over again booring)
in lobby can be some stacked guy, but if you kill him,loot him? you earned it. like in prison, when you smash biggest guy on sight 
- also and after you kill him, he simply wont have same or even better set instantly after you kill him

Yea, definitely - I am not too concerned with skill difference right now as the player base seems pretty small, but if the game grows back to its previous numbers, some matchmaking system would be needed as well for the sake of new players having a chance to properly learn pvp

Well Epic items are decent sometimes more than Lege/uniques(re-geming is expensive and you dont have so many good rolls on it anyway). Only artifacts Overshine with their passives, so there is not much difference.
My main idea is to have one SSF mode, no matter what is on other mode to be honest. (I always rly enjoy most first 2 weeks cuz of ssf i guess)
Yea, I think this could be an argument for squire only - bcs item rarity wont prevent from somebody rocking the best possible stats for the given rarity of gear - but also IM cant afford splitting the player base across different modes rn
To be fair, we cant have anything like this right now. Im so sad the player count is so much low. I hope they heal the game right way and then we could get something like this.
Honestly, seeing how community is talking about the game, the main thing IM should focus on now is actually making players believe in the game again - maybe some public statements, ask for direct feedback about certain things that the community is divided on - such as fog, ring, norm x HR, arena, etc.
I havent played in a long time before coming back but I feel like IM changed so many things and unfortunatently not the small ones but even the CORE mechanics that the game became unstable for the players
Some roadmap or a plan would be really nice, so the players know what to expect from the devs in the following months/ a year
Maybe some live Q&A with the bigger content creators, maybe try to reach out to some of those who have left already
One important thing for the feedback would be also discerning the lvl of players responding so there wouldnt be feedback only from the low or high-end players bcs those groups usually have different needs
And ofcourse implement the feedback in some way - they're still the devs and they have better idea on what some of the ideas might bring bcs they probably tried them
I know what module i am in 90% of the time regardless of fog of war. That means loot locations, mob spawns and hiding spots. Thats because I have them memorized. Now, if the modules were more fragmented and "randomized" It would be a different story. Its not hard to recognize 25 different rooms. It is harder to memorize 100+ presets that shift around every game.

Honestly I am not against map memorization - to me it's another layer of skill in the game
- i feel like poor handling of room fragmentation can lead to buggy places or unfair layouts for certain classes, probably ranged classes could struggle quite a bit
Ofcourse they could put a lot of work into it to make it work but I personally think itd be a lot of effort for not much of a result

I personally prefer not removing certain skill expressions in order to limit some advantages but rather adjust matchmaking so the players of simillar skill lvl are paired together
I've seen in several games - Sea of Thieves is one example I can think of right away, where people really didnt like when devs removed some things players could do in order to limit experienced players having the upper hand
Also I am not a fan of randomizing current content as a way of making new content - it can feel fresh for a while but soon it will become repetetive as well

Isn't Dark and Darker missing something fundamental at its core?
In Peak, you climb upward to find safety away from the fog.
In Dark and Darker, you simply spawn and look for an extract.
I know the two games are different, but after the removal of the circle and the addition of static extracts, the tension is gone. I’m not saying the circle should come back, but something else needs to be tried. Devs should rethink why the fog in Peak works, while the circle in their game does not. Overall the design has shifted heavily toward PvP, leaving casual players stuck in PvE mode.
All veteran players should go in their mind back in the days, what they made them have fun, dopamine rush at their begginings... Scared, crawling in dungeon.. thats what new players love, fo real.. all veterans, should think about this, dont just rush to fight new players, timmys who log PvP mode and accept what should be OK for the game itself..
This game is a freakin Dungeon Crawl game, not fullsweat PVP rush at all cost.
(Also me as PvP oriented player, I fully understand this and I enjoy every freaking Friendly encounter even after 1200 hours in the game.)

I set up my sorcerer.
First game, my random fill teammate runs into my wall of fire after it is established, dies, and I get a short ban.
Second game, my teammate stands between the elemental I summoned and the skeleton he's attacking, ban.
Third game, my teammate ends up in the landing spot of my electric dash after I cast it. ban
Fourth game, flamestrike goes down, teammate walks into the spout of fire after it is established, ban
Fifth game, it's the lightning storm that you cast over the entire enemy team, while your teammate doesnt peel off the barbarian who is taking his health away in thirds, instead opting to push towards the barb and the established storm, which kills him. ban
Sixth game, frost lightning snaps and hits the teammate you were trying to save, ban
repeat over a week or two of wipe
My name is now red. I can be attacked without consequence by my own team. when they decide to attack, I don't want to lose my hard earned gear so I fight back and win. ban
bans get longer every time you are banned. at a certain point my own bans reached extreme lengths (several hours)
if you want to find places you are losing players this would be one of them.
