Honestly, I definitely feel like the fun I've had in the game so far has been worth the money I spent. Which is more than some, considering I bought both the HTL edition and the first Madrinas bundle, the one with the mug.

Oh and for sure, Expedition needs like four passes done over the UI and such. But it's also their second playtest, so at least they get a way bigger pass on stuff like that than SDF gets on his BS anymore.

I guess no one really know. There's a timer in game but we don't know if the maintenance for the wipe start at the end of the timer or if they're aiming to end the update to the end of the timer. Or even if the timer is just set to the day of the maintenance but not the specific hour

I think it's fair to say that while there is different crowds that play the game, and people want different things - what people DON'T want is an entire wipe/season full of 0 content or anything worthwhile being added, and only new features and entire game modes and queues being removed. This wipe gave us absolutely ZERO. We've been waiting since December (which is when it was supposed to come out) for the "next real content" which was the water map. Even the "teaser" screenshot of the water map posted a few days ago was literally from the dev Q&A over six months ago. Quivers, inventory QoL, backpacks? Sorry guys, our specific guy who is the ONLY one in the whole comopany who knows how to code for the inventory left, indefinite TBA. Solos and duos being the most popular modes for 4+ seasons straight? Sorry guys, we're removing these because we don't have enough people playing the game and we want the game to feel alive. Adventure mode? Oh yeah, we spent a ton on marketing so it appears on Facebook, X etc and a lot of people came back and loved it and loved to play with friends. Sorry guys, we're removing this to shrink the queues in not even one full season. Oh wait, they might be going back on this after a month straight of outrage - crazy, it's like community feedback and expressing distaste actually works.

New player experience? Let's make it so free to play players are shoved into ONLY one queue, and in that queue you can ONLY use white gear. Dungeon RPG? Sorry guys, either buy the full game upgrade or you can never experience even your green items that you find in the raid.

Random modifiers? TBA. Let's take out the "looter" part of experience that almost everyone specifically plays for, being able to create build identity - because two years later I decided I was doing this for the "mass appeal" and not my own vision.

I think a game should be a work of art, passion and what someone loves. But the game is now being run by an entire studio. There is real employees who are making a living off of this, and rely on it.

How do they let one person who is actively ruining what the majority of the playerbase wants, kill the massive spike of upward growth that the game had when it came to Steam? Surely those at Ironmace are monitoring the growth numbers, negative reception from every angle and multitude of concern videos from every single one of their large creators that is getting overwhelming support?

This isn't just nobody timmy two-shoes being mad that they nerfed his favorite class. It's massive parts of the game, the entire IDENTITY of what the game has grown to be and the reason people have continued to play and support it - being entirely wiped out and changed. Well they described it as a new "biome" so I guess it's a solo map like goblin cave, so with new queue and possibly a 2nd floor later like they did for Frost cavern. And if they actually really worked on it this time maybe they'll directly release a new biome with 2 floor. Or a map with a unique mechanic like after 15 min the map get flooded by a huge wave and that reshape the map (But that would be cool and smart so they're probably not going to do that)

Always pictured it as nature's wrath, elderly grandpa that has an incredible connection to all living. Maybe spirit animals that could be summoned, ability to grow stuff in seconds, heal anything, grow huge trees maybe or control some vines, and surely there are forms, but mainly it's like become a bear for a bit or etc, not 20 transformations in seconds

This is a role-based game — classes have natural counters.

What does that mean? If you go solo, it’s very easy to get matched against something that beats you, and most players lose.

So what’s the problem? People arguing in chat saying things like “druid is too strong, rogue is too strong”... BROTHER.

You can’t have 3v3 balanced and also have solo mode balanced at the same time. It just doesn’t work.

Players ended up getting solo and duo removed by constantly complaining in chat. They’re gone now.

1. The game has been running for a few seasons with solo and duo queue. Despite the fact that it wasn't perfect, it was very welcome enjoyment for many.

2. Anyone who played DaD for a long time or even professionally knew its weaknesses and strengths. That's part of the experience. Therefore, balance is not a convincing argument for banning two very important game modes from the game.

3. In the end, you can certainly argue about the right direction for the game and have different opinions. However, it is not acceptable to delete two essential game modes without taking the community with you and offering an equivalent replacement. There is currently no substitute.

4. (now it's getting serious) Therefore, the huge loss of player numbers is absolutely justified and a symbol that @glad thunder and Ironmace is about to kill his/their own child (DaD)...
