i understand what ur saying and i agree to a certain extent that you shouldnt be going against full gold loadouts when youre barely above 125. they used to have a map for blues and below on ruins. i miss that and i really enjoyed it. and i didnt mean to make it sound like a skill issue i was just saying it gets easier the more you play.

i got put into an empty lobby more than a few times running above 125 so idk how much more they can seperate before it becomes an issue.
And I feel like there is something to address about that. Is the low pop from overall pop. People just don't want to fight high outside HR? Like that's what I was trying to open up too is why is that happening. To maybe address that and lead to a constructive thing.
just be happy that normals isnt what it used to be with no gear cap and full squads full of legendary gear killing brand new players with base gear.
my friends still wont play this game because of that it ruined their perception of this game. that was during the playtests

my point is that they are trying but gear score is hard because it divides the playerbase and you can only do it so many times until youre playing the same guys over and over or end up in empty lobbies. (had that problem with marauders but that was more player count than dividing us due to gear) i think the blue capped map would be an elegant solution for now until they figure something else out

To equip it with anything besides stock gear would put me against big people. I don't feel like the thing should be so black and white. Nor do I think the Brackets have to be air tight either
There is a difference between losing a fight to a guy in all blue while I've got some blues. We are much closer and the fight would be less one sided
The issue for me is the widness of matchmaking. Again if it is a population thing then that is concerning but for other reasons.

oh i felt it too when i first started as well. losing to someone with optimized gear when you dont have it feels shitty. gear deff makes a huge difference and they've been consistently making it so the gear disparity isnt as large as it used to be. for instance they removed plus 3 all attributes. that was super broken unless you also had gear like that. nowadays its really not that big of a gap between blues and purples or purples and legendry gear.

Its less of an issue if I face a full legendary somewhere near purple average in my gear. It hurts but its not unbelievable
However! If I have all greens and a blue weapon and amulet. And I face a full kitted legendary. Something is fucked. That is the entire point of that
to be honest full legendary gear when youre all blue is really not that big of a jump it just comes down to playstyle and what the class matchup is
granted it also depends on how you built your blue kit. if its all mismatched blues then yeah youre probably going to die. but if you bought a budget blue kit you can take on legendary kits if you know how

I have come to a conclusion that I think a lot of people would like. And it could be as simple as re using an existing mode for coding ease. I'm not a programmer though but idk.
Simply having a middle of the road mode where people can go in and fight with supplied gear that is like full green or something. They don't get to keep it and maybe it doesn't have attributes. But I feel like that is a great way for them to collect data decently becuase there would be people that are far more invested in the pvp. Plus it would remove the fear of losing gear to god sends to simply learn how to fight. Like a BR mode but maybe on a smaller scale. They had the BR ring before.
Leave the sub 25 for low chaos, new spawns, maybe a blue tier one. Make the map smaller. I feel like that would help with the pvp spawn rushing. It could introduce people to a new way of learning pvp outside of the pvpve.
Leave the PvPvE as a bracket system but even that doesnt have to be airtight.
I think stronger mobs shouldn't be detectable so you take all fights with the same caution. At least give stronger stats and new attack patterns also to normal mobs randomly.
so marauders did something like that which is like scav mode from tarkov. hunt showdown also does that too. id like random gear but it would get tricky because id have to prepare spells or id have to know what gear id get that game so i can prepare
That's what I was gearing off but it could be a certain choice weapon but locked to a rarity for consistency. No RNG that would tilt a fight one way or another. So if you lose to what counters you that is bad. But it can also show which classes/comps are more or less stacked
Like you pick your character and the gear that you want to go in with like squire gear. Maybe extra meds since its pvp orientated but the enemy has the same combo. Their class and weapon are choosen.
id be ok with a hunt showdownish gamemode that has random gear. i still like the ruins map capped at blue because you can run full green and not run into beeg bois but i also like this game mode

I think no map should be capped on gear because the gear cap should be left to a bracket system for standard players.
Maybe you can earn rewards for playing in the SetGear Modes that can be used to get gear like the skeleton Merchant. (Definitely different but it could also help those PvP players gear up to higher dungeons while still enjoying the PvP aspect if they want to fight the Wyvern or something with friends you know?)
It may lead to a less toxic community on both sides as well.
On the PvP side they can actively take part in balancing the game by trying to find the most broken kit as they normally do. And Iron mace, as they should keep an eye on things to fine tune them, but when things do get to a far more balanced state maybe players can appreciate a fight where they were simply bested. Not by gear but by the enemy's wits
On the PvPvE side. It would encourage players to take on objectives for some of the best loot without having to worry as much, the worry can still be there pvp shouldn't go away entirely, on bringing in some of their best gear to turn it into better gear. Plus a less PvP atmosphere might give the game a better review from people who enjoy the game for the PvE aspects and could increase player count if the unbalanced PvP is the cause of lower pops
Another Idea I thought about and its more about preference is instead of the full 5x5 grid map in the PvP mode it could be a smaller map with like a last team standing mentality. Like a 3x3 with more manueverability. Like instead of just 2 doors the grids could be combined with actually interior blockage. Like pillars in a cave. Kinda how ice abyss is. Maybe just a little more open. To avoid bottlenecks. Like 5 solos, 3-5 duos, or 3 trios go in and are randomly assigned an area to make the method of push and pull more encouraging without making the ability to 3rd party too easy for the extra teams. I'm less versed in that kind of balancing but just thought.
That might help initially with the player count. It could make fights faster. Easier to add more maps if they are smaller too. So they don't have to make or could just edit small portions of maps to give more diversity.

change the gathering halls to be old pre lobbies where you can go in and hang out, test kits on dummys etc. literally nobody uses gathering gall, its better off something else or just removed for different content.
all daggers lose 20% damage, dagger mastery perk 15% > 25%, warlocks receive ability to use kris daggers again.
readd the -10% phys power bonus when using non-native fighter weapons with the weapon mastery perk
the prevalence of dreamwalk on literally every single class in the game right now shows that it needs to have a 45s reset, or not be in the game.

And what i'm going to say, noone will agree, but they will know it's true. High Roller MUST have base gear only, BUT with a little upgraded rarity, Rare for example, whole equip rare, whatever you were wearing with the Squire, so, everyone is just the same. Fighting for a "SKILLED" lobby, not a p2w lobby.. only who has 500+ Gear Level is going to win, just a stat diff.

Please fix the bow skeleton push attack, it's range is misleading and often connects in empty air as well as sometimes hitting a player completely off to the side of their attack animation.
Further, maybe change the animation, a two handed shove with a bow has to be the least threatening thing I can think of to do that much damage aside from a tickling animation
Maybe a wide swing or a forward stabbing animation, perhaps even a proper two handed batting type attack, shoving a bow into someone's chest looks weak compared to what it is.

After multiclass druid have had problems. You can panther chicken jump but it acts weird (kinda teleporting you mid air) and sometimes momentum is set to 0.
I feel weird going through doors, i use to do it 100% consistent. Now its 80% ish. I dont know if you changed timeing.

For the love of god fix how reporting things works. I shouldn't have to sit here for an hour uploading a video to youtube, send it to both the discord team and the team on the website, make multiple separate reports, and then hope and pray that something is done about it. If I put in a ticket into Modmail, I should be able to show a clip to a mod, have them make a ticket which then will be forwarded to the team at Ironmace. This bassackwards way of doing things only makes people discouraged for wanting to make both the game and Discord a better place and actively punishes people who want to do things for the better.
You applied the patch to the wrong server - you had meant to put multiclassing on the test server, not live. You also SHOULD still apply it to the test server becasue the "religion" system is useless
There should be artifact pendants and rings with special qualities that no other item could provide. Like Necklace of Necrotic Aura
It would still have the 5 bonus enchantments but the static could be like all undead monsters will not notice/attack the wearer of this necklace
Unless of course you attack the undead monster, they will attack back.
To avoid the item being an easy way to farm undead monsters of course
bringing back Multiclassing without ANY prior announcment has completely pissed me off. I was a Bard Main ALL Wipe and had 9 BIS kits ready to play. Now all those kits are obsolete and I have to rework all my gear. I cant even use my Elven Bow on my Bard now...THIS SUCKS. Bard's base stats are so low that I cant even use my main effectively. This multiclass shouldve been announced at least a week ahead so i couldve prepared for it in some fashion. Devs you need to communicate with us more. This just makes me not want to play cus i have to put in a ton of effort to make a character viable again in the dungeons. Also, Dreamwalk on a caster is BUSTED. Get rid of Dreamwalk. Get rid of Rat Form druid.

For Arena instead of making some items lootable (to counter exploiters), make the rewards something other than loot ie. gold, exp, ap, arena rank etc. Give the squire another tab just for arena and allow us to build our kits freely. The only thing to be lost is arena rank, Ap or maybe a gold buy in. That will solve the issue of super chads and allow for proper testing of classes and stats balancing. Less likely to be exploiting if they can't steal gear. This will also put all players at an even Gear score. Most people wanted arena as a testing grounds for builds and fun PVP.
with arena they should add a way to challenge your friends in 1V1

Yo hunting traps should give kills to the players that put them down, ive had countless of kills not given to me from hunting traps and it doesnt make any sense. im doing the action that got them killed therefore that should be given to me. One other thing ive noticed whenever im killing and someone is low they go to a floor trap or a monster to give them the kill instead of me or Unaliving themselves in general( etc - fireball or any warlock skill). I feel like these kills should be given to you definetly if your doing the majority of the damage and someone decides to Unalive themselves its unfair for the person winning the fight to not get rewarded for killing the players. And you cant even loot the body fast that youve killed and in certain senarios you need to loot and go as fast as you can.
Nop, most likely Multiclassing is going to be rework a lot in the futur and will come back someday. (hopefully in it's own game mode

Multiclass mode needs to be removed from the game or create a separate mode and lobby instead of combining it with normal lobbies and ranks, especially Multiclass mode almost makes normal mode unplayable for new players if you want the game to reach many people instead of making new players bored with monsters and players with too many perks.

Yeah. It seemed pretty barebones in the stuff we've seen in the test server. This might make it a bit more interesting and establish a second level of progression.
In terms of progression I think the game would be better off with more objectives/quest-like structures rather than something like a class training tree. The more I see of MCing the more I think that power creep would be a really bad idea, and so would locking the big class features that already exist behind some sort of grind.

if your opponent has a bow/spellbook and you dont = you run away, or you chase him and get kited for 5 hours and you die
if both of you have a bow, you have a corner sniping competition with the winner winning by having more heals
and if you have a bow/spellbook and they don't, you can kite them if they wanna fight, or you can pull out daggers and shank them when they chase, or you can chase them, either way you control the fight 100%

remove hellfire, heres why:
- insane crutch for people who dont want to actually learn bosses.
- named item count gets cut in half if not more when its removed
- less warlock gold farmers means more class variety in HR solos
- awkward and slow spell. assuming it is changed to not deal damage to bosses, it would never be used anyway.
- causes lag to lower end computers when spammed through walls.
- overall terrible for the game’s economy

multiclass on arena, just 3 rolls, you can see enemy perks equipped and so do they.
that would be good, actually just to mix things a little, not too excessive. every game could be different

lich isnt that bad if u can manage skeletons. lich’s nuke heals you back over time. lich is hard though and should be adjusted

Hey guys. I had this idea of changing the normal gear bracket system into something more structured and I would like to hear your opinion on that.
Currently we have 3 brackets. <24 for base gear, <124 for i dont actually know having some gear but not really, and >125 for anything goes. That's where the big guns get played (if you dont want to run hr) and where u buy and build kits for. First and 3rd bracket ar fine, but <124 is kinda in a weird place. It's mostly used by self found players but it's also not really made for that. So why dont make it that?
Have one queue for white gear only, one queue for anything goes, and one queue for self found only. With the implementation of the 'looted by' status for arena the groundwork for that already exists. This would be a place for players that want the true dungeon experience without building kits on the market but instead looking for good rolls on what they loot and without having to deal with players running overly minmaxed pvp builds. I would also suggest to restrict this to items only brought out of your last dungeon run. Otherwise you could stock up on good found items to play them as a full kit together (without escaping consecutively), which kinda defeats the purpose of this idea.
Would you like that or not?
hmm honestly i prefer playing 124 lobbies. You clear pve really fast and people aren't 1 shotting you.

@winter idol thing about that is that it's not like he's the only person out there with a min maxed kit in 124s. So yeah. Maybe you slaughter a Timmy who had a blue axe or a bow or maybe a few green rings or something. But maybe you get into a brawl with someone else sitting at 124 GS with the giga gear of the tier, that will sell for 500+ per piece. Sure it won't be a full kit, but you're gonna net 3-4 greens/blues and 2k worth of sellable gear.

We should be able to cut that safety net, the skill is legit supposed to disable perks like that but it doesn’t, it doesn’t do its job

this i agree with sort of? it makes sense in the context of the class, but i do 100% agree wizard definitly needs something like it since he's supposed to be a master of magic.

But why druid, how does dreamwalk make sense for them?
adjust movement so the game isnt nearing unplayable without a bow and 130 arrows. multiclass should only allow for specific perks not all of them and it shouldnt be a random roll either
because 'dreamwalk' would be nature based magic, and druids are all nature magic.

true, but it exists in druid fiction usually through herbs but i guess they figured they needed something to make them stand out more
They turn into bears, panthers, chickens, and mice, they even use spells, what more do they need
there are currently no counters to the Druid's ability to escape bad situations and quickly reset with HOTs/potions, etc. they're only vulnerable in human form and dreamwalk totally negates that risk. cutthroat should be that counter IMHO.

I wouldn’t say he is bad, depends on his comp and also triple wizard was one of the best trio comps this season.
But I disagree about 1 class per team, that sounds limiting and boring
I always think that instead of banning or limiting things that seam to be to powerfull, you should try to enable other playstyles. The problem with trios imo is, that instead of building a team with distinct roles (like dps - tank - flank) it's far more successful to focus all team members on one win condition (like hard push or kiting) so that you can force this playstyle upon your enemies and out stat them on this field. That makes for extremely boring team comps. They should make a few changes to encourage having a well versed team, that way one dimensional teamcomps like triple barb would still be viable, but are risky because they could get caught on there weak side. Currently it's far to easy to force a specific playstyle upon your enemies.

A lot of people liked the zone, it made the game feel competitive and not casual.
problem is the game is a trash BR and a great dungeon crawler
game still feels competitive if you just dont play friendly. i prefer the zone being gone because it adds to the pve/dungeon experience of the game, but the zone did force some fun encounters. i think all in all it is a good change for the better that it is gone

It's extremely tedious to have to select each item from the Expressman individually in order to buy. It's always profitable to buy everything from the Expressman because the price is always half the merchant sale price, so the most likely scenario is you want to buy everything. Add a button to buy everything in one click.
Issue an immediate hotfix to fix CoP, mending grove, entangling vines, and restore, as they are currently broken and not functioning properaly in game. This needs to be addressed ASAP.

I think the concept would work if lobbies merged. Right now it’s super silly cause the further u go down the less and less pvp u gonna face.
Also they have to find a way for you to see which boss is coming up , people that wanna farm bosses have to take a 35 min adventure and then the boss that spawned might not be the one they want.
I think they should be focusing on more layouts (or random layouts if possible), for the maps that already exist instead of creating more maps, layers, etc.

I think the concept of having a random boss is just stupid. Make it always one and put one at crypts too. Also more than 2 layers (they said they eventually want to go even deeper) can only work if u account in every aspect for the time it takes to get there. Like in wow nobody minds running 3h raids once a week, but that's because it's well implemented, majorly rewarding and it's kinda separate to the normal game loop because you can only do it once a week. If they implement it like that I would be fine with even more layers down. But if every other quest wants you to get into inferno and you cant progress without doing so, it becomes a real slog.
Yeah it wouldn't be an issue if they weren't random. Maybe they should give each map two bosses, alongside lobby-merging so they can be bigger, like goblin caves? And move ghost king or something like that to the ruins level

I'm personally not a fan of lobby merging. It kinda ruins the achievement of winning fights in upper layers. If you want pvp just stay on the first layer. I'm absolutely fine with lower layers being less populated. Maybe make the first floor like 6x6 or something like that and increase the number of people in a lobby. But lobby merging sounds really lame.
I think the Expressman is a step in the right direction. Even though it's 35m to get to inferno, you can still make guaranteed gain and progress along the way that is independent of whether say you die in inferno to the boss or not.
Only issue with Expressman is that he disappears if your the only person in the lobby

They absolutely did not. They gave u plenty of time to connect your blacksmith to steam. if you didnt, that's on you. I dont know why they removed the option, but its propably for some backend reasons. Also it's still totally viable to play the game over blacksmith launcher. So you can still play what your paid for, just not over steam.
i wasnt playing then, the most recent update is what brought me back but now i cant even play through steam which is the only way i can. my pc isnt good enough to run this gpu eating game so i use geforce now in order to play, they wont let me switch acountts therefore yes. they did.

small suggestion: if you bring back reworked ruins then make sure the rogue double jump shenanigans are gone for good. This tactic still exists for some reason after deleting the map and bringing it back

They Need a Boss that Hunts Down Players
yes like the wanderer in moonlighter i loved it
i think it'd be cool if melee users could choose which attack they do, or if some weapons u can aim your swing how you want, it sucks how like you can choose which attack and people will just know how you're gonna start your attack. Also it'd give more mind games and depth to melee classes
You can get real creative with how you manipulate your swing by aggressively moving your camera, an extreme example is felling axe swinging under shielded by flipping around and looking straight up
I'm not saying their isn't depth at all, but you can still do what you said and choose your swing too, it'd be cool to use arming sword 3rd poke or like using long sword second swing whenever you like, Ik its a game things dont need to make sense but it always just makes sense that a weapon user would use an attack most fitting to the situation
bardiche 3rd swing could be sick it would just be adding what i said
So attacks later on in a combo generally have slightly higher damage since you have to commit more to the attack, that would probably need to be decoupled
but but also some weapons are balanced around their situationally bad swing patterns, like the zweihander needing a lot of space for its first two attacks
I wouldn't be opposed to it, but it would definitely be a huge shake up and would require a lot of other changes to keep things balanced
yea it would need balancing for sure i like the aspect of committing but honestly either this more options, i wouldnt mind the damage fall off of the combo attacks too compensate for it not being as much of a commitment if you were just able to choose them. itd be cool if different classes had different melee attacks, like unique wizard with crystal sword attacls or cool fighter sword stuff (wizard sword isnt good but it'd be sick like if having different options or like unique stuff would let it see play)
well what I mean with the combo thing is I'm pretty sure right now each attack has a damage multiplier specific to that attack, but that multiplier would need to be change to be based on the swing count
The stab on the Castillon for example does 130% damage iirc, so you wouldn't want rogue to be able to start with a 130% stab right off the bat

the Hight restriction crows is a HUGE mistake. the cool part about ruins was the verticality. if rogues getting higher than other was the problem them you should have made more ways to elevate not remove a cool map feature. major fail in game design, nerfing something cool instead of elevating other aspects

Make tree of life self castable, it's one of the only spells in the game that can't be cast on yourself, making it useless in solos.
Remember back in wipe 2 run when they said they would remove stats for items that aren't necessary.. they did bare the minimum lol
For the love of god, put a grace period at the end of the round for descending players. Either that, or make red gates open significantly earlier than blue gates. I'm so tired of stepping into a down portal, only to have no time to deposit anything, because everyone else is either dead or ratted out. If you don't have a buddy to eat swarm damage for you, then you just don't get to engage with the delivery mechanic at all.
Use another character as a quest item stash, you can then use them as they still.count as looted..this also helps with any future quests on other characters

Guys I need to say it: good job IM. I love the new patch. It's just beautiful. Not that everything is perfect, but for the first time in wipe history they did not implement something completely new (short of the religion system, which will propably not have any balancing problems tied to it). Instead they focused on improving things that were already implemented and added a ton of quality of life improvements. For me that's an absolute win. The game never felt that polished.

Rounds should be like 20-30 minutes long with gates opening around normal time for those who just want to get out. and instead of having them sit in the room for the remaining 15 minutes they could just queue up with others who are already went down a floor aswell and are waiting. Well once you have all the squire quests done, it’s easy to get 20 str with squire gear. So with a green ox pendant and tree of life you’d be at 26 str. Bear scales very well, but I don’t think it needs nerfed. Most people dying to bear are people that have their finger glued to W.

Well Dev said it work that way on purpose, if you want to secure item you need to take the red stair a bit early. But I agree it could be improved, like if you'r the last team alive you should have a bit of time to trade with the expressman
Well that mean you can't get the reward multiple time and that suck. It's really cool to get the Gold coin bag from the Goblin merchant quest several time, same for the gold coin chest if you'r brave enough to do the quest several time. And other reward are still worth for gold at least
Am I the only one who feels like the general discussion and feedback channels provide very little utility to the developers and community? Like, too unmoderated, too many arguments, too much yap, too disorganized. As a player, I feel nothing but brainrot looking at the channels nearly constantly. I can't imagine the developers and staff get much motivation either. The server's really only for announcements and LFG. There really needs to be some reform that can make this place more useful.

Well I agree with you but it's also because of us, a few month ago I was wayyyyy more active in the game- discussion and suggestions channel, answering people question and helping as much people as possible and trust me or not but the chat was way more friendly, some other started doing the same thing than me and way less toxic people, troll or people just here to cry were talking in those channel

Exactly and because the game start at end of timer (1 min) for everyone, the player pool you have to matchmake people and try to counter pre teamer is also way bigger so better to do both of that

my only concern with the suggestion you linked is the gearscore bracket replacement
one could manipulate the matchmaking by having the same exact gearscore as the other party, so there would need to still be some decent amount of gearscore spread within the matchmaking's decision making
Yeah I think the same, people can get really close gearscore on purpose to improve chance to pre team. That's kinda already possible above 125 gearscore and I don't really know how to fix that unfortunately. But hey, it's still a lot of upgrade compared to what we have now.
Don't hesitate to share this suggestions when you see people complaining about map rotation or gearscore/matchmaking

As for combating preteaming, the matchmaking could keep track of how long each player spends in a match with each other player then prioritize putting you in lobbies that have people you don't have much time playing with
even if preteamers leave lobbies that don't have their buddies in it as fast as possible to try again, since they will be spending full matches in games that do have their buddies in it they will constantly be telling the matchmaking to not pair them together
while it wouldn't stop preteaming completely, it would massively decrease the amount of damage they could do to the matchmaking system

So my teammate attacked me off rip, and then purposefully died. Then taunted me about reporting me, and now I have a 400 second timer. What am I supposed to do, just let my teammate beat me an inch of my life all match till he gets what he wants. Obviously, me killing him so he can report me.

On that note I had a strange thought. Your idea seams to be brilliant and I dont really see a downside compared to the current system. But what we have now must be also much more complicated in terms of coding or am I wrong? The part that itches me is: like every game I played that has a matchmaking uses kinda the same system as dad (click ready- get matched after a few seconds). I'm hesitant to believe that nobody in the industrie ever came up with your (much simpler) solution if it is plainly just so much better. Maybe I'm overthinking here, but there must be some backend problem with your approach. You know what I mean?
Yeah they said it's intended, but at this point it's clear that there are some major unforeseen problems with it.
- it encourages people to go down early, which is not good for the overall game, since upper layers become artificially empty in the later minutes and people just have to waste more time just waiting between layers
- if all teams want to go down (which is not uncommon in crypts) you still got no time for expressman AND you basicly just cut down the time in the dungeon
- it simply doesn't work if your alone on the map (which is also not uncommon in crypts)
It's not just that they intended it to work in a way that most people dont like, it also just doesn't work as intended xD
So I'm like 99% sure they will add a grace timer with the next patch.

I saw a post in reddit about how red exits should open earlier, and even if i don't agree in what he says, i think is a good topic to discuss. Just like no one asked for the removal of the BR circle and ended up in one of the best design choices they could do, changing the rythm of the games through redesigning how dungeon crawling works in Dark and Darker can be the next big win.
I want to bring you my vision for a better dungeon crawling experience, but first a bit of context. This idea came to me last season when the pre-lobby was still there. As a suggestion to have a way to team up with other players of your lobby without the danger of facing a psychopath, i wrote in this channel about the possibility of leaving the pre-lobby whenever you want, even if that means that you can go in late. Basically gather all the players possible in the pre-lobby start the countdown as normal, but instead of just tp all players in, open the door of the tavern and let them choose when to dive while the dungeon time keeps running.
Well, so the same reasoning that made me think that forcibly tp all players into the dungeon feels unnatural and forcibly gather all players into a small BR circle feels unnatural, made me think that retaining players from going into deeper levels waiting for the rest of the lobby for no reason might be wrong.
A game without pauses between layers. It would lead to less opportunities for worst players in terms of dungeon late game but also to a new meta where you trade loot for speed, where you can prioritize bosses and missions more easily. Sorter games sometimes, less loot, more fair encounters.
If you think about how is dungeon crawling in traditional fantasy stories it comes to my mind not only loot racing but also people competing to be the first one to go to the lower levels.
Of course i m not saying that they should implement what i said just like that. Actually it would be a disaster with the actual state of the game but when they removed BR circle they also had to redesign many aspect of the game.
What are your thoughts? What do you thing about the state of red exits? (No lazy answers pls).

Still reading this, but I wanted to chime in and say a LOT of people wanted the BR circle gone
And a lot of people want it back now days, but i think BR is not coming back not at least in the same way.
I hope not, I much prefer the current system
if they really wanted to have something like a BR circle, I'd want it to at least follow doors and eat the map room by room rather than being a literal circle
BR circles work perfectly fine when its an open map but when you are restricted to taking specific paths its very annoying
I said that because i think they are bringing it back for arena only, but im not sure. Arena is the only place where forcing players to fight is a good idea maybe.

you know people would complain to all hell about getting players spawned behind them, especially if a team splits up and enemies spawn between them
not to mention a ranger could potentially start trapping spawn locations
so you'd have to be very smart with the spawn logic for that idea to work, but I'm not opposed to the idea itself

and also, about the pre-lobby thing, it could be also a way for noobs to enter a less aggressive dungeon since the later you enter the less mobs/players are.

-In the description of the express man it says that he can fail the extraction.
-The express man can have a delay of few games before coming back with your items.

He can’t, you just have missed and he didn’t , or he had already hit you with throwing knifes or hand crossbow before engaging in melee
he didn't i had first hit with a zwei hit him twice; before i could get the third hit i died at full health

Maybe he was cheating, cause there is no single possible way that you hit him first, and he hits you 7 times before you swing 2 more times
Please fix Wyvern!!! curse healing does not work on him, meaning it is inconsistent to use warlock. but ALSO, headshot damage is still bugged and often times headshot damage does not register! the changes (i.e the "walk up" mechanic, and the phase "push back" mechanics) were not necessary in the slightest, and i believe that alongside the curse of pain changes are what lead to these bugs.
Add a pve mode, cause why not (it would have no connection to the pvp mode, no item transfer to and from or market access)
it would split the player base hence reduce player numbers for the pvp mode.

so i think i experienced my first game with a cheater, the player was using what i think was a loot hack…cause they would only hit particular pots…looking through floors i guess to see loot
What do you think about making some of the mobs stats randomly move between a range. Like health, damage, ... (just one stat modified not all)
Also don't make special mobs visually different so you have to be careful in all fights.
PvE is to easy to experienced players. Imagine if they have to actually play carefully because they don't know if the mob in front of them is a real danger (One shot axe skeleton).

I think it should be in both, but high roller is better than nothing.
Getting one shot by a skeleton would make me stop playing faster than easy PvE
especially with how often ppl run in PvP
pvp will be less common with arena
all mobs can be done no hit in all classes so i see it pretty fair if 1/50 axe skeletons can one shot you.
there are currently 22000 people playing on steam alone. i dont think thats an issue

a given mob's attack does a set amount of damage with a set trajectory
so the only RNG mechanic with them is which of their few attacks they decide to use, of which you can react to
the only reason an axe skeleton would one shot you is if they hit your head because you failed to move yourself or your head out of the way

Thats not a good idea im my opinion for two reasons:
First of: getting oneshotted by a random mob is no fun for no one. Especially not if your running high valuable gear. Not to mention that beginners would have struggle even more than right now. Think about any rpg game you want, does the hero gets truely threatened by random mobs? No. It are the bosses and mini bosses that should pose a thread. Not a random goblin archer that got a lucky statrole.
Second: I dont like forcing players that love this game for the pvp into playing pve more carefully in the first place. If you want challenging pve go down to lower levels. Mobs are usually harder there and there is much less pvp. Also there's better loot.

make armor actually protect when using demon armor
the plate armor when used on warlock has all the slowdown effect, but none of the protection,
armor works on cleric and fighter because they have dedicated perks to make the armor actually work (defense mastery, perserverance)
on warlock using the same armor as i do on fighter and cleric, i die in 3 hits or less, the armor does nothing except in the very high end where you get 50% pdr from 3 pieces
a way to implement this could be to have slightly better pdr scaling (on demon armor), or even a flat pdr bonus on armor when using demon armor

Give at least 20-30 seconds for using the dungeon express system even if your the last one to go in
Rework all perks centered around hide, perks should be complimentary to the playstyles of a skill not required
If you get hide you are required to also slot in ambush, and the sneaking while hidden one to make up for not having an aggressive option on that skill slot- if you don't have hide the perks are useless.
I say make ambush a perk that makes your next attack (maybe melee only?) After a certain amount of time of not hitting anything (8-15 seconds?) Do a bit more damage
This way it would be complimentary to the hide skill without being defined by it.
I think rogue needs to be moved away from hide in general as we've done a lot of testing as a community and it's not fun to play as or against-

Just a few suggestions lmk what y'all think.
Expressman
-Remove expressman losing gear, idk who cooked that up but it's beyond burnt.
-give a solid 45 sec to a minute when traversing floors to give him loot.
-add training dummies in between floors.
-add shift clicking items into the expressman.
Additions
-new weapons and armor need to be a priority this wipe, classes need options and variety.
-quests, we need more than fetch quests they are obnoxious and feel like a grind, implement quests like "carry this moldy bread through 4 modules and extract with it" to add some variety.
-all items a class can equip should be in squire off base. There really isn't a decent reason to not have this? People who are going to do quests should be rewarded with better options rather than hoping they can finally use the gear that makes subclasses playable in 24 lobbies.
-in future wipes make one level of quests available for each merchant if you plan on having a squire unlock system as a permanent feature.
-wipe rewards should be locked behind long season spanning quests that can be completed within a guild or adventuring party, they should not be available for ftp players, this would allow people to not experience fomo by having to grind hr and to counter that you could re add leaderboards to incentivize hr. I really miss having named weapons after players hiding in the map or seeing bandit/bounty posters, it was a neat touch that felt like you acknowledged your community.
Opinions
-ruins should have been added as a separate map, the game wasn't/isn't ready for 3 tier dungeons. -Expressman should have been tested more before you ever added the ruins layer to Crypts.
-you need to prioritize your wipe goals more. Sorcerer is a waste of time at the moment if you are going to be adding new maps and systems that weren't thoroughly tested. I know you have different teams for different projects but we have more pressing matters with the game before adding a whole new class. This also ties into managing expectations within your community, every wipe you have over promised things like arena and classes which doesn't help you generate goodwill with your playerbase.
Extra
-having ground demigod in the past... Having to regrind my title feels awful, I think a generic ranked system in general for this game is a cooked idea, you will never have a form of matchmake that makes people happy, no amount of balancing items and classes will make fights feel fair to a certain extent, you cannot equate items and skill to a point where the fights will feel fair to the losing players.
-i don't believe lobby merging should be a thing if you plan on adding it. This would incentivize saving health pots and bandages by ratting through ruins so you can rather through crypts and then PVP rush saving your trolls blood for inferno.
Couple thoughts on that:

with you for the expressman. Training dummies would be neat. I would add that he should sell meds and campfires for gold and treasures you found in the dungeon.

3 layer dungeons would be fine if they changed expressman how you said. Additionally they have to take into account that going down for like a 45 min run feels like a good old wow raid and should be accounted like that. So fe. No second woodsman quest should force you down there. Its basicly a dead questline for newer players. Questlines should rise quest by quest in difficulty and the layer you have to go down to. Also it would be nice to have 'epic' quests, like especially hard ones like slaying a boss, to be unlocked throughout a questline, but then stand parallel to the line, so that you can progress with questing without doing it if you dont feel confident jet.

I'm not a fan of lobby merging either. A it feels unnatural and B I personally dont want the coin flip of to much pvp after spending 30 min going down. I enjoy pvp quite alot, but I think keeping it to the upper levels is fine. The lower levels should be designed around challenging pve. If I die after a 40 Min raid, I want to be 100% responsible for it and not gambaling on having better gear and more skill than the random person that I meet down there. What's the point of going down anyway if you dont care about the pve and just want to fight other players? You'll be looted up your ass after first floor anyway and could aswell extract without having to pay a fee for the expressman to bring out your gear.
Only have the expressman leave instantly if the timer for the round end is at 0, it doesnt make sense that you are punished for being the last one left- if you wipe a lobby in ruins you will never be able to use the expressman, and the explanation of "the expressman needs to get out of the dungeon too" doesnt work when theres 5 minutes left in the round
give us a 20 second timer before he leaves unless its end of round pls

Yeah dont even try to find an explanation. What they said might remotely work for first floor, but from crypts to inferno your most likely the only one going down. Esp in solos you dont even have the chance to let a teammate stay outside... and btw he's there again after crypts so he lied about getting out anyway xD
Also speaking of crypts, the gameplay from a pvp perspective has dipped in quality. A once vibrant player filled dungeon is now desolate, the only people you find are those questing or bossing, and that's if you can find them.
Anyone who hasn't learned all the crypts bosses is now kinda screwed as it takes forever to get into inferno just to find its not the boss you wanted to practice, doubly troublesome for a boss like warlord where you need to get it down, 1 mistake can lead to death so you need to understand the fight, but if you die you are set back by like 20 minutes before you can MAYBE get a chance to fight him but nope its lich which you can't even do without 150 arrows or warlock rip barb
Maybe there should be a merger, idk if itd be possible at all but merging different sessions from ruins together upon going deeper, so that even if all the players in ruins die you can still find people in crypts
Like I said above. Lobby merging would be terrible imo. Think about what you just said: going for inferno bosses is already a slog and a huge time investment. Add the pvp density of ruins to that and it will be pure manace. Imagine having the randomness of pvp heavy bossing from gc, but your already 30 min in and there is only a 1/3 chance that it's actually the boss you want. With the topping of to be even able to get to the boss room, you would have to win every pvp fight in ruins, crypts and inferno on the way. Bosses would be completely dead.
I would just like to mention, the moment we get more quests, many ppl will go down to inferno , and the pvp will be pppping off once again.
Currently we only have to go down for few demon dogs and bats, but gonna be alooooooot of ppl once we need centaur tails, 15 ghost kings, 15 demon bats , etc etc

I think I'm getting into the habit of playing at 240hz 2k. Although it’s strange, because many other projects are running at 240Hz
75hz is the highest I've gotten and it was honestly enough for me. I get the enthusiasm to go higher but imo its not really neccesary in this game. I'm not saying your gpu should have a problem in this game with 2k but try lowering it to 1080p. Do some troubleshooting lowering things one by one

I have to say that if they make the matchmaking between levels, they will also adjust the number of players. Inferno is obviously too small for the number of players in crypt.
To be honest i think that this types of QoL features closes the door to making selling and buying a fun new gameplay. For example they could make a Trading Post 2.0 like a physical space inside the new lobby they are implementing soon, but things like marketplace, what is in fact a QoL feature, makes it meaningless.
By the way did nobody thought before about which are the consequences of having a global marketplace this accessible to the economy and game loop of the game?
There is not such thing in realistic traditional fantasy.
Without that convenient tool (Marketplace), players would have to build their character with what is available at that moment. That means more varied builds and less problems from minmaxin stats.

New Idea
What about making high roller difficulty harder and harder along the wipe so while pros continue to grow in stats, the difficulty increases.
You can make that each time the boss of a HR map dies, the general difficulty of that map goes up little by little.
Remove HR and scale the mob difficulty/loot more as you descend layers or by the lobby's gear score requirement.
Add gear score levels

25-124
125-224 (people will minmax this so you can't let it go very high)
225+
If there are enough players, implement skill based match making for the queues BELOW 225+. Never do it for the top level of gear.
Why do any of the above?
Currently most players are not entering HR and it's just a streamer/cheater & snipers/1000 hour player queue. Because of the long game times and MANY queues in the game, HR lobbies are pretty empty. Removing HR cuts all queues in half and keeps games filled. If Ironmace finds that the survival rate is too low when full lobbies, they can reduce the teams in each lobby.
Problem:
Many players will choose to play the 125-224 lobby to avoid fighting people with bigger gear. This is tedious to minmax, but that alone won't prevent players from doing this. Maybe arena helps cut down on people only wanting to buy minmax kits , as well as the chance for better loot if you wear better gear in.

devils advocate here, any metric you use to measure player skill levels to place them appropriately can and will be abused, this is a thing with mobas but the difference is those are contained instances, in mobas you can ruin the experience of a game but you take nothing outside of the match
if you use player kills to place people, people would avoid killing to cheese and get lower skill pools too loot, if you use adventure points or xp, or extraction times, players will give their loot to expressman and die so their level is artificially low etc etc, any metric used to measure people will be undermined
Which is why you need to put on better gear to get better loot, and at the better gear level there would be no skill based matchmaking.
The skill based matchmaking possibility in lower levels of gear is only there to improve new player experience. I wouldn't want them to go hardcore on it at all, just something light to help new players.
There's been some studies done on skill based matchmaking in call of duty. What they found is that player retention went up at all levels except for the top 10%.
Those are your streamers etc though, who you 'somewhat' need to keep playing to help market the game.
Either way though, other elements of the game will determine player retention much more, so I don't think it's worth the fight other than doing it for new players.
I do believe that wearing more gear should = better loot, there is almost no reason to run giga bis outside of pvp for players gear
and merging HR and Normals would allow for better server management
however I do feel that another key thing to keep note of is bossing and in general HR enemies- I am very comfy fighting them, but when learning, especially the crypts bosses like warlord, its very good to be geared when fighting to learn, as dying means waiting 20 minutes just to not find the boss you want to practice. if more gear=stronger mobs, at what point would you be fighting an hr boss when you just wanted to practice the norms one
That's a good point. Anything under 225 would be the non HR version. You can kill him in that kind of gear for sure, but obviously it's easier to learn it in even better gear.
This is where players can use spells that make the fight easier and avoid PVP though. The cleric AOE for mobs, weapons with additional damage to PVE (once silver crafting is out), etc.
With worse loot they could also make 'slightly' easier versions of the bosses as well. Cut the damage/hp by 20% or something.
There's also plenty of videos out there for new players to learn from now. New bosses get guides pretty quickly too
Make rogue invis just wizard invis with a low cd and infinite use
change ambush to not be based on hide but instead increase the first melee source of damage you deal by x% after not dealing melee dmg for y seconds (dmg and time can be altered, could be 25% dmg for 10 seconds of waiting for ex)
Either remove hide mastery or keep it as is and it'd just increase the duration of the invis

i have this idea for a long time now and even wrote a suggestion about it i think. I see no point in running HR besides having better loot and more chalanging pve fights. both things that you could easyly implement in lower layers of normals. IM already said that eventually they want to go even deeper than 3 layers. Already said that merging lobbies would be a terrible idea, so naturaly the lower levels would and should be pve focused by design. let them be epic raids that you undertake with your team. pvp is already enganging enough i think (not talking about balancing) and with upcoming arena there is even like a 'endgame' content in this regard, where you can train for and win prices. in terms of pve its a bit more lackluster. Especially wyvern is the kind of boss i want to see more of. with like the epic arena, massive teamengaging special attacks and a safe extract for everyone (even befriended other teams that fought with u). Imagine having 5 floors with a wyvern like boss on each of them. after you defeat it you can go deeper or extract. Each floor deeper the enemies become more challenging even requiering you to bring equipment with special pve rolls like undead damage bonus. after each floor the expressman can take your valuable loot out (minimizing the waste of money if you die) and supplies you with new bandages, potions and campfires for the treasures u found in the hoards. You would gain AP based on the floor you extracted and the bosses and minibosses you've slain. I think it would be a glorious dungeon crawler.
I would not tie difficulty to gearscore but only to floorlevel thou. you should not be punished to invest more money in the runs. instead investing this money should enable you to go down to levels that you would have very little chance to beat without.
Yeah I like the idea of the deeper you go the more PVE focused it becomes. They are still working on requeueing though apparently :/
You don't get punished for wearing better gear if the loot is also better. There's still a reward.

I don't know if any dev read this but I want to suggest a few things:
- New filter in the market place that retrieve all the items found/crafted by me so I can buy them back if I lost them
- "Buy All" button to the expressman. (if its too expensive to develop it can jump to the next valuable automatically when buying one back till is empty)

I know alot of people hate on sbmm but since i played hunt showdown i cant understand this anymore. sure sbmm can be shit if you just mess it up like multiple games do, but if done right it is a wonderful way to bring the highest amount of fairness into pvp games and let everyone across all skilllevels enjoy a game in the same way.
How sbmm can work:
- You would need to only regard pvp stats (kda) not extractions, loot or mobkills since everything more would be abusable.
- your mmr should NOT be calculated over the course of a whole season like in league fe. it should be a short term always adopting value. Like maybe over the course of your last 10 games. so you would have to die like 5 times to derank significantly just for you to instantly rank up again after you actually start playing and kill 5 timmies in one game.
- there should NEVER be rewards tied to reaching higher mmr ranks. mmr is there to make fair fights for everyone, not to determine how long your longsword is. thats what AP rankings are for. Nobody should feel bad for playing low mmr. Its just more fun if youre playing in your league.
- Dont show the players how the matchmaking works exactly. the less they know, the less they can exploit.
This is basicly how hunt works (they also dont show exactly how it works, so its more or less just me guessing, but its the core) and yes there are people activivly trying to derank to get easier games. But theyre not many because the time it takes to derank is not worth the profit of it. in this system it is actually easier to rank up than down. I think its the perfect sytem for pvpve games.
Make silence prevent mage skeleton/ shaman goblin from casting spells at all for the duration, potentially even make it stop lich from casting spells leaving it only being able to use its melee for the 3 seconds

Remove bunnyhopping or remove warlocks ability to bunnyhop. Or literally make anything that impedes a warlocks movement speed. I'm genuinely begging you guys. Fight COP and than being spammed with the death bolt 9000 is not fun when they can literally just bunny hop away from your range in two seconds and redo it all over again.
Ok first off i like the expressman idea IM but...... me and my friend keep hoping in the down portal and every ones gone or dead by the time its available can we give people a 15-30 second buffer to have a chance to deposit some stuff ?
the thing that makes bunnyhopping possible (not being able to gain or lose momentum in air) is integral to making the game's movement how it is.
I believe that when drawing a bow or casting a spell while not grounded you should suffer a -10% (or more) spellcasting/drawing speed
much better, someone @ the entire mod team, this guy is a genius
it might not be an ideal solution as it has a risk of making general bowplay/spellplay worse as players will have to get good learn the rythm of casting spells while trying not to be airborn but I think its worth a try
might even be able to justify rangers being able to take a perk that negates some or all of this penalty, since bows are a slightly less aggregious form of bunnyhop abuse

@keen onyx Expressmen just losing shit is dumb. A better idea is to have the random chance of losing gear be the goblin merchant robbing the expressmen as he leaves the dungeon. In the lobby you can then buy that gear from the goblin merchant for goblin merchant prices. Losing gear to random chance is terrible game design.

Why play a melee class in this game when you can just be a Wizard with Staff Mastery, melt, and ignite + fireball + inv + haste? You can hit 70% magic damage with a few pieces of gear and kill everything that gets in front of you with either 2 hits or 2 spells. Bullshit.

When casting a spell/drawing an arrow while airborne, lose a percent amount of your total action/cast speed
Feel like this attacks the core of everyone's problem with movement speed, opponents being able to flee and attack without committing to any option that has any meaningful consequence.
I think that the stat values would have to be tweaked a bit elsewhere as this would be a considerable nerf, but I believe this could change a lot in a healthy way.

Yeah i would second just removing the momentum keep while midair. Devs said it wasnt intended anyway and is more of a unintended feature that they left in because it allows for a certain skill expression. While this is right, I think it mainly favors kiting playstyles and as such is not healthy for the game. Also it just looks stupid
Expressman: They should stop collapsing the maps once everyone leaves so everyone if they want has time to use the expressman. Also with map rotation not falling right if you fill up the expressman you could end up waiting 2 entire map rotations for the dungeon to end before your stuff shows up. Trying to go down without emptying him makes it so you can't use him.
Any plans on fixing fighter? a full pdr shouldnt hit more with a bow than ranger.. its not at a good spot right now with lobbies full of fighters
not to mention they can max out ms with full plate on...
i feel like the only classes that are worth playing solo is druid so you can counter the damn fighters, if you play any other class you are dead it doesnt matter because its not skill diff, fighters only press W with no skill and destroy lobbies

i tried out bard and loved it, but even using lament song the fighters will outrun me no matter what its damn insane
got 500h and i cant try other classes because druid is the meta to survive high roller against a full lobby of fighters
fix the damn fighter, its such a broken class.. most classes are balanced already
most classes have a solid chance against druid and i also have against them, but if a fighter plays against any other class he will win most of the time
fix the damn bows on fighters, it shouldnt be like it is right now
fix the PDR and movespeed meta, you dont need to mess with the class per se but lower the damage of bows on high tier gear, pdr and movespeed

But yes I think the Matchmaking and Content suggestions are part of the most important thing the game need right now. But unfortunately people prefer to vote for dumb thing like "Remove ranger"

Yeah the move speed/kite issue is also a big problem but for now I didn't see any good suggestions too "fix" or rework that, and didn't have an idea myself
Might be a bit naive of this but I think there is a 'simple' solution:
- Remove momentum keep mid air. It is the main reason kiters can outrun someone chasing them even if they dont hit any shot or spell. I'm fine with being kited if the enemy out plays me by just hitting shots, it if I can circumvent that I should be able to close the gap.
- Add hard cc to melee playstyles. I think it's completely weird that the best cc in this game is in the hands of kiting classes, which further enhances there kiting, while melee classes have close to no option to bind an enemy to them when they catch them.
To be clear: I dont want kiting or ranged combat to be removed or nerfed to uselessness. I just want it to be one playstyle out of many with counterplay and not the prime solution to every problem and every matchup

Yes and no, because if you buff other thing to counter something you could have nerfed there's a risk that the thing you buffed become an issues too. While if you just nerf something it may become useless but it not replaced by something else

Don't you think that all that effort put on discussing about PvP problems every day since game launched could be used in other aspects of the game?. Imagine how the game would be today if the community also discussed with the same strength about the other bigger lacks of the game.
I understand, complaining about PvP balance stuff is easy, after all since game launched, pvp has been the number one cause of death.
But what happens about for example : game social aspect, level design, economy, game loop, RPG mechanics, ...? These also can make your experience worst.

In most cases balance changes haven't made game significantly better, there is always a new PvP unfair balance thing to complain about. I've seen a lot of people who want to do hell bosses complain about the time it takes to get down there, what if it had a portal straight to inferno?
That would be difficult to implement, because then the players who go to crypts would have to go to a separate inferno 15 minutes after the fact, i think they should just make it worth it to kill both bosses and have a red stair in the middle loot room, that is a cool idea though, just not realistic
well there has been talk of lobby merging, and while for normal gameplay I don't think that would be a great idea, I could see it working if they wanted to add a skip

First of all, if you join a 3 layered map you have to know that it will be a longer game (variety of dungeon designs is good).

One of the bigger problems with our ideas would be that the density of players will reduce what is a big problems for PvP only players. But maybe you don't have to make the number of players bigger, maybe you can just play a global sounds that indicates that a team has gone down and a different sound that indicates that a team has gone up. This way if you don't find players you know that they are in the next level.

I prefer the bosses designed to be fight by big teams not by 1 v 1. A boss should always make you lose something, that is why you go with a party because you assume that someone will die.

Is like helldivers, the game is designed to assume that you will die many times and many time you will fail objectives.
Not all bosses of course, for example i don't have problem with the possibility to 1v1 a Cyclops. But for example, Wyvern is so epic that if devs opens a window to kill it 1 v 1, it loses it's release epicness.
There should be variety of boss designs, and obviously wyvern was the only boss that felt like a fcking Raid final boss because you had to fight with a party.
And btw the requeriment to finding a 4th player to start the boss was one of the bravest moves i have seen from Ironmace in all development. It didn't work because the rest of the game is not designed that way, but the idea was gorgeous. I hope they bring it back when they find the game suitable to this type if ideas.

I've always had the belief that ranged weapons should be designed to weaken an enemy before the actual melee combat begins, not to be your primary weapon
but since it has good damage and slows the victim just as any melee weapon would, its very easy for bow users to maintain their range advantage the entire fight
bows need to either be piss poor for damage with a heavier emphasis on their ability to support allies that are engaged in melee combat
or they need to not slow the target, bringing the weapon much closer in design to spells like Shadowbolt and Zap
Give "no front sight" and give a minimal damage to a week spots like a legs, chest, hands. But give high more damage for head. And bears traps, they will stay, traps gonna do lil damage and less time been trapped. But what you can do in trap, its sit down and stand up.

i think bow damage should be weaker in general and VERY weak against people in plate, unless its a crossbow which has enough power to punch through metal

I will say, the downtime on bows is rather short
even considering the bow's reload every 6-10 shots (depending on the bow) they still have so much higher DPS than crossbows

That's not a thing in dad. Only thing that could happen is you can pull mobs with you from one room into another. And they dont go back to there room when they lose track of you. So maybe someone did this.

Guys, in brazil 30 dol its like 180R$ and this is like 5/6x more the price, any dev message about the price adjust for our country? The only problem I see with this is that some red portals are on pvp hotspots , and if people have the option to either die or go to hell , they will go hell.
Good example is ruins bridge area. That would be lame , but it’s an easy fix , just put red portals on “dead” areas

Let us cast tree of life on ourselves! It’s a tier 5 spell with 2 uses before needing to sit/campfire and only lasts 10 seconds. As it stands, this spell is a meme and rarely used.
I once suggested marking bow's aiming like in Wii sport resort. And adding a precisión stat to diferénciate fighters bow gameplay from ranger's. Fighters being more arrow spamers since they have worst aim.
100% acuraccy by just having good aim with the mouse is a problem.
I don't know how Wii sports works but I dont like games that have shaky aim with ranged weapons. A good in between would be to implement right click ADS (without quickscope). So if you want to shoot spricise have to aim, lose even more movement and have lowered dps through the animation or you can shoot fast but risk not hitting your shots especially not precise headshots.
In Wii sport resort it also shakes but that is not what i talk about.

Gear is a balance problem and if you can have consistently a good build the problems multiplies.
PvE and Looting is boring for most of experienced players, but if the good gear means so little the problem increase.

Yeah ms has a design problem in my opinion.
they should make the spell reflect ability a perk instead and give it a 15 second cooldown, instant cast spells like curse of pain and zap will be reflected with 100% hit chance accuracy and spells like frostbolt and bolt of darkness will fly back to the enemy which will be dodgeable
Utilizing SteamAudio (and TrueAudioNext) would provide an excellent improvement to gameplay and game feel. Just please make sure to configure the material behaviors correctly so things sound correct.
Physically influenced sound is very cool if done well.
And turn proximity VoiP on by default.

make the proximity voip be "physically" based by being an audio source from the player. meaning its sounds propagate naturally like every other sound in the game.

Shield Giant should be put back the way it was. The 180s are lame and it’s not like you can block his attack with a shield he just extends through them.
Also cyclops targeting is lame now too and sometimes it really spazzes out.
Add a spell for warlocks called spectral blade that summons a sword which does 24 dark damage and scales .25 that swings like an arming sword. And last for 30 seconds posted this on the page if any warlocks would like to up it

Feel like a cooldown timer on marketplace purchases that prevents ppl from instantly re-posting the items for a higher price would be good for the game economy. Would help prevent people from buying a bunch of the same item cheap, and then instantly reseting the base price at higher amount. If you watch the marketplace closely, you can see this happen on items like Golden Keys in real time.

if your friend is giving you items that are handled that he brought into raid, and dropping them for you, its to prevent TKers from stealing kits when using random matchmaking. Use trade instead so he doesn't nab gifts

Just remove warlocks, the vast majority hates everything about them, they are the reason the season is dying from day 1.

That could be cool you should make a suggestion on the website. If people think like you (Imo they do) then you'll get enough upvote and IM may listen they already tried 3 layer in the past and end up reverting it pretty fast
But the problem with that is that you add one more map choice so you split the player base a bit more, and it'll be split again with Arena. They need to do something about that or we'll have empty lobby even if they do your suggestions.

Well it already did in the past, and it's doing it again now. The playerbase started dropping again, and from what I see on the discord and from friend who play the game that's one of the main issues if not the first that make them stop the game or that they want to see change. And if my suggestion get that much upvote then I might have pointed something

I did, a lot of them. All looking to attack problems without removing game aspects. For example i talked many times with different solutions, about how the easy access to the gear with the stats you want game after game is a problem. Having better gear is unfair but having better gear consistently is much more unfair.
True, and how would you solve that? Nerfing Marketplace? Reducing drop rate?

How is it vague? It's different but it's a viable solution. You'r solution seems a way lot complex than and ask to change many feature of the game. While you could still be able to have your "unfair" fight even with gearscore bracket, won't be as easy as now but possible. In the best world, we could have 2 game mode : One with gearscore and one without in both normal and HR (I find it stupid to reserve HR to a part on the player only like now)

There is a limit not to cross but I think we need to make compromise. The game in this state have been and is losing player. Compromise need to be made between what player want and what the heart of the game is. I think matchmaking is not that big of a deal. Dev tried it for a reason and personnaly I had the most fun when Normal was white gear only and HR had 3 gear bracket like grey to green/blue / green/blue to blue/purple / everything above

For me it's not. If I lose stuff in a fair fight or by doing a mistake fighting PvE or Boss then it's my bad. But it is when I fight player with way better gear than me who give me no chance of winning

Not really, even before the marketplace and easy acces to gear it wasn't a probleme for me to lose gear if it's in a fair fight. That's the point of the game, you know the risk, that's how I have fun, fighting people I know I can beat. Getting in a game where I have 90% chance to be against a dude with a Viola and full legendary stuff who's gonna stomp me and everyone in the lobby that's where the fun stop for me
But then Looting is meaningless, Bosses are meaningless, Extracting is meaningless. Because if the main reason of those things is obtaining loot and that loot is easy obtainable to the point that players don't feel any frustration from losing it. What is the point.

Yes I agreed with that. Gear is too easy to get / trade. That don't change what I said it's not frustrating to lose gear if it's in an honest fight or from a mistake you made, and matchmaking help about making fight more fair. Marketplace should be nerfed yes

Mostly the PvE side of the game. Being able to kill HR boss doing harder quest. And now their is even a new purpose for PvP player as getting better gear in the Main game mode will allow you to gather better gear for arena

Why you want better gear in arena if you will be paired with people with the same gear you will never have an advantage. And PvE by itself is fun but not enough to engage people long term.

Who said I wanted gearscore matchmaking in arena? arena will have it's own leaderboard and should have skill based matchmaking. More like an usual moba or stuff like that
(But anyways with the self found system it'll end up being kind of gearscore based, but you'll be able to have "unfair" fight in Arena as much as you want)

Okay there is another problem, do you know that some classes were not designed to arena don't you?. So if i want to play rogue i will go into the dungeon. Once in the dungeon i play against trios, i can't win any trade because they are three player all the time, then i go to solos. In solos i m too strong because my class is countered by groups of people. Devs nerf my class to the point of losing all it's identity. They end up turning rogue in a thing totally different.
Finally you realize that the only thing that made that design of rogue work in the playtest was the fact that you as a rogue even in an environment where 3 players party is the meta you can find sometimes unfair situations to take advantage.

Okay true. But it doesn't solve the problem of rogue being too strong for solo and too weak for trios. Is just a cool new rogue variant. By the way i prefer the rogue's party utility to be opening locks, disabling traps, ... things like that, not turning him into a buffer (Jokester is trsh design).

Well imo the thing who make it too powerful in solo is thr Landmine build because you can't do anything against it. And imo the Poison wheel rogue would make rogue better in 3vs3 change how you play rogue and he's purpose but make it more usefull in teamfight
Sorry you are right i misunderstood the team utility thing. Is 2am here and im kinda tired. But yes cool idea. The only thing i can say is that maybe you should make poison skill to require a bottle of poison consumable item so you can't spam poisons and this way encourage tactical decisions.
Why not, making charge for each poison that you can recharge by sitting like spell

Yep, I think ranger should also be able to recharge the bread, same for rogue caltrop and smoke pot. But it'll take time, not faster with campfire. Maybe you can even add like a small QTE like bard song but random and maybe harder and if you succeed you recharge one stack of bread/poison/caltrop etc
Also i like the idea of filling your party with someone with the same goal than you but i m totally against entering a game only with players with the same goals. Is basically the same as making a PvE only game if it ends up working.

Wizard is so unfun to play and that's almost entirely because of how exhausting doing PVE is. You spend so much of the game on the floor even if you bring in meditation, it's just so boring to play. Cantrips would fix the problem of using all your spells on PVE/trying to melee as a magic centered class.
Now I'm not a game designer so I cant honestly say I know how to add them in a way everyone would like, but I can make some suggestions. First is just adding another tier of spell before tier 1 and making them free. This might need to come with the change of making each spell wheel 6 spells instead of 5, but that would most likely make wizard too op. (Maybe it could be a perk?)
Another suggestion is making a separate cantrip spell wheel and making that take an ability slot. This also might be too powerful, so maybe cantrips could still take knowledge points, or perhaps the cantrip wheel holds less than 5 spells unlike the regular spell wheel.
Some suggestions for cantrips could be:
-ray of frost, like frost bolt except it's a beam like ray of darkness, doing instant burst dmg and not overtime damage, with less dmg and slow effect than ray of frost but slightly longer slow duration
-Poison spray, another hitscan cantrip with high damage and short range. Could behave like zap except with a much smaller range and not setting people on fire. Could give a little poison effect but i think that's too much.
-Light orb. Just light orb, probably without the ability to see through invisibility to balance it being infinite use. Could be a weaker copy of light orb (dancing lights, a concentration spell meaning only 1 light at a time?) or just nerf it and move it to cantrips
-fire bolt, like fireball but smaller, much less dmg, no explosion and a little faster. It doesn't set people on fire.
That's just my 2 cents. What do you guys think?
