Some feedback about High Roller gearscore minimums... 2 cheap 2H epic weapons is like 160 gold. Nobody wants Ceremonial Staffs. They're Cheap AF. 150 gold and use them, or not, just have them in inventory and thats 180 points of gearscore. add one 3-stack of green bandages (which you dont even need to use), and you can continue cheesing the High Roller queue in white squire gear.

this whole entree balancing for HR is so terribly done. Why not have the same HR style as norms 24<125<125+ ?!?! it works GREAT since it segregates the gear score disparity. Why do I HAVE to go to HR with bis gear? I don't want to. This whole thing is silly. I legitimately want to hear a solid argument against this
i mean having brackets like those is pointless in hr. almost nobody would ever fit into them and it doesnt rlly help to solve the ratting problem which is what they were trying to solve.

and yes hr is filled with 50 percent rats before this change. all these changes were purely for that
the issue with High Roller is that you have these groups of squire runners and juicers. one risks losing anywhere between a couple thousand to tens of thousands of gold while the other one risks 100 gold for the entry fee.
The problem is that most of the rats did just that. they'd come in with this poverty ass gear to vulture whatever couldn't be taken or worse rat the juicer and profit for just existing.
The problem is that the rats lose at most 100 gold for the entry fee and whatever healies they also bring in tow which tends to not be too expensive. The other guy who just died with a 10k kit is uninstalling rn after losing to someone with next to nothing.
a minimal gearscore for high roller at least somewhat addresses the ratting issue but I don't think it wholly solves it.
nerf plate already, you should not be able to sprint around at max speed while in full plate, this makes absolutely no fucking sense

Agi on plate are ok imo but on item with two stat like the helmet with agi + dex. You shouldn't be able to run faster with plate than with cloth at some rarity (like the Chapel)

Yes, but have you seen these encounters where people purposefully pull a lot of the monsters and the AI immediately is focusing on you the moment you get too close? Yeah, that's cancer. The AI must be in a neutral standing by not allowing these players use them as meat shields to get away from fights to recover, especially these kiting classes.

Yes, the PvE threat is still out there and you totally need to pay attention to your surroundings. With that being said, my opinion is that people abuse the AI system to their advantage in order to win these PvP fights and that to me is just toxic and not fun.

Well I think that's what was planned before Multiclassing and now too. Then in lack of time to work on it they released Multiclassing cause it was more simple (nothing to think of or balance everyone can bust get anything). And after that failed they talked a bit of what they wanted to do and it look a lot like the suggestions you just made, so I guess it's already planned
that's good to hear. would like a proper subclass as thief or swashbuckler on rogue for one. would like to play an Eldritch Knight Fighter or even a Dark Knight Warlock (pact of the blade with some shenanigans and zero curses in favor of durability and magic absorption capabilities)
Paladin suggestion: Your playstyle is based on oaths. 3 oaths comes to mind, devotion, vengeance and oathbreaker. Devotion could be like you got auras and your particular actions give yourself and allies either HoTs or temporary buffs like getting more benefits from shrines. Vengeance is like your solo style build, dealing more damage and protecting yourself from enemy attacks like Warlocks hit you first and you get protection from those attacks. Oathbreaker is kinda like your typical Death Knight, surrendering yourself to the temptations of evil, inflcting debuffs and summoning demons to aid you.
A pure liquid gold stock system --- Each trader would theoretically have a stock that with a new merchant you can invest into traders, and as players purchase gear from them, their stock increases in gold value, so pure gold can be stored in a stock and we could have an introduction into a kind of gambling where you can earn more investing early season which would change start of wipe economy, and as it progresses we could see natural inflation in the market, quests would give shares so that players who dont necessarily have money can earn a potential change in the market. Naturally merchants like tailor, armorer, would be high due to crafting copperlight and cobalt gear, woodsman, alchemist, and surgeon would be in the middle range due to heals and campfires/arrows, and something like goblin merchant is a wild card due to people buying gear back. Also increase rarity of items from merchants to shareholders so their funds go back into gear. + Add a merchant with a bank that taxes people's gold but they can store endless.

Banker merchant/Treasurer feature --- Allow for players to deposit gold into a stash that will tax the players gold depending on the amount + standing reputation with the merchant, however allowing them to endlessly deposit gold, make it so players can take out a loan of gold where they will have a negative effect in the gold counter that taxes them every time they sell, they just gain a smaller and smaller percentage each time they recieve gold from any source, depending on how long they go after not paying back the loan, limit it based on trader rep too, and add it to the karma feature for the tax, players with red name have worse credit, blue names have good credit.(With the silly economy issues this all might be nice, have the credit affect trading fees too)
Here is an idea I have been dwelling on: reducing the ability for players to farm bosses solo for endless money, make players only able to access one boss room per player in a run, solo players would naturally struggle with HR crypts bosses and wyvern, so those are fine, but specifically goblin caves farming is out of hand. Make players only able to access one boss room per run, to clear bosses make them have to play in a team.
Add more consumables, more crafting for potions and different buff consumables, would make the bard more convenient and played more to make people avoid them, but solos can deal with teams easier with a strength buff, and throwable potions that will cause a weakness effect, poison, blindness, but you can just make mob drops be the crafting ingredients.
Wolf claws can give night vision, harpy feathers could reduce movement speed penalty for a time due to "lightweight" effect, grave essence can create a weakness potion, make skeletons drop bone dust or something that allows for a temporary health/strength boost, spider venom that allows for poison potion, make goblin mages and skeleton mages have random consumable drops like a toadstool and other stuff, make a big mixture to craft trolls blood, and just make a cleansing potion that removes all negative effects like debuffs, curses, bleeding, poison, etc.
And make another potion drop from troll/cyclops that increases all attributes by 1 for 100 seconds or something, or ice wyvern can drop dragon blood that increases attributes, and the HR crypts bosses drop a potion that reduces negative effects by 10% for 100 seconds like a weaker version of the cleric perk perseverance.
we need an afk timer for voicechat users OR a variable voice chat that any user can open up a channel
i love getting one or 2 tapped so fun ironmace lets buff the bardiche so if you get anywhere near it its over for any class yay

here an idea for bard that i think could be nice. it would be called « singer » or something similar and the perk consists of making the zone of buff/debuff around the bard larger, making it easier to buff and debuff characters
Honestly I think thatās the way to go. I know number of players has been a limiting factor in the past, but that seems to be in a good spot right now. Which is pretty good considering weāre so close to the wipe.
The ranger spear build is insane right now with multi shot and back step. Itās single handedly will destroy anyone. And with traps you can bait into spears to their face. No one survives its! Crossbow was insane pre patch but everyone is running multi shop long bow. Back stack with Spear proficiency and stack strength. Run a high damage blue spear and a grey longbow and youāre a destroyer. Trust me itās easy to scale out of the 0% with ranger with ease.
Your class is already over tweaked and over worked. It needs to be gimped into the ground and they need to limit shape shifting to either bear or panther. Not both one main shift and one secondary travel form. You donāt need bear form rat and chicken.
Bard should be reworked. Itās WAY too strong. I got 3 tapped by a rapier last night as a Slayer with 150 HP and 30% PDR. Same bard almost 3 tapped our barb too with over 200 hp. They need to have the bard lean more into the utility/support and away from it being basically a better (albeit more complicated) fighter.

3 taps with falchion in the head would kill him especially on slayer so im guessing you hit him in limbs while he headshot you while fully buffed, as slayer with falchion you can easily outspace and dodge a rapier so he hits your limbs instead, I havent seen the fight but if thats how it ended then you sadly got outplayed
Iād recommend sticking to 124 if you have a problem with any class. Itās been the most stable fighting environment. A lot of classes are way over tweaked in high GS. Also if you were hitting in shoulder or arms itās very poor damage and would take way more than 3 shots to kill them.
if he was 150 hp and 30% pdr as slayer then he was probably playing 125+ with bad gear matchup against a bis bard
exactly this perk would be more supportive then aggresive in my opinion since in 3v3 lets say a barb would be able to buff his team easier and i do agree that bard is in a strong place rn but i so think this perk would be good in solo, duo and trio which is why i proposed it since it wouldnt be an op solo perk that really isnt needed. it would also get more out of the support side of the bard with this perk

the price of your inventory to have more ammo is already more than enough no matter what bow you take. Your quiver is already tied to your bow with the reload mechanic. nobody wants to deal with a ranger that brought 100 to 300 arrows plinking us all game. the class is oppressive at long range enough as it is. you really don't need an item at all tied to arrow stacks. you just want a more efficient backpack for loot.
Just ask for treasure bags you can craft or find in raid to store extra treasures without the cost of your inventory (small would be a 3x3, medium a 4x4, and a large a 6x6 all drag drop into bag for storage) or other things of a sort.
and if they impliment a quiver anyway; it'd just be side saddled to the left or right utility slots.

Iām fine with either or. Just anything to remove the arrow clutter from my inventory. Sucks when Iām grinding out ap and want to fill every slot with treasure (or else the pay off isnāt worth it) and I donāt have enough arrows to fight multiple other players. Choosing between survival and a longer grind is rough sometimes.
It is just annoying having to have so much space in inventory be for arrows. It's annoying and surely you must see that. I don't even play ranger. i play fighter and i only bring 20-40 arrows and thats annoying. Imagine half your inventory being arrows.
what difference does it make between how i deal with a ranger when he has or has no ammo? a big enough one to know when i can actually push one vs dealing with an effectively infinite ammo pain in my rear
only a dog s*** player uses 80 arrows in one fight or its soooo rare that it literally doesnt make that much of a difference to you. Like you are saying you would rather get the kill on a ranger that 1/300 fight than EVERY ranger, bard and fighter have such a huge quality of life. Pure childishness.
Nah the better solution is to make a quiver, allow arrows to only be held in said quiver and give that quiver a cap on arrow capacity. Higher rarity quivers hold more arrows etc. easiest way to achieve balance.

what is childish about keeping the limit of arrows as they are? you already BUY a quiver of arrows from woodsman as it is and get 2 free sets of arrows from squire. It's not even a quality of life dude. It's a waste of space to the ranger kit. Unless you want the ranger quiver to be equipped like a bard instrument to passively give bonuses and then cry that the fighter will make better use of it than you, you're better off just leaving the arrow mechanic as it is.

Mate its not about BUYING anything. Its about the space they take up in your inventory. Even if every arrow was free it still would be annoying. It's simply about having to drop arrows to pick other stuff up.
if you want to actually give ranger a buff to their storage just make it a key feature of their class they stack more arrows than others.

#suggestion-discussion message if it's about treasure here's this. if it's about salvaging player kits, make those craftable to hold enough storage for all the equippables minus weapons that you can carry one of on you that takes up 3 columns of your inventory.
Its already planning to be in one of the 2 backpack slots at the bottom of your inventory.(you wont loose out in a backpack slot you can only have 1 anyway)
this is a way bigger change than just making a 3x6 quiver??? i dont want tarkov next level tetris manager where you have a box in a box kinda stuff.
Def fine with this and everyone wins. Arrows have a set capacity for arrows so no one can complain about rangers bringing in a whole trees worth and the rangers get space in their inventories. Love the QoL on this.
also as for the guy who would use 80 arrows and not kill a target. if we're going on about skill why do you need the quiver in the first place. just put 3 to 4 arrows into someone ez. you don't need a quiver unless you're saying you need to compensate as well.

Smoke pot rogue was given charges due to the spamability of the skill, as well as the ability to get out of trouble for little to no downside. Warlock's Phantomize ability should have limited charges and must be used wisely during a raid.

IMO quivers shouldt be worn and they should be an item. They should simply just be a 3x8 slot inventory everyone has. Good to keep it simple.
we've got quivers from Poor, Standard, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary (i think), and then Unique if possible.
From 40-80 for white perhaps and an increase by 5 or 10 arrows for each rarity up. Just to start out and see how it goes. No more 200 arrow spam each match.

Yup. No stats, no extra buffs or bs. Just arrow capacity. Everyone wins. Rangers bring in less arrows to spam but it remains respectable to them and they in return get the QoL inventory space everyone else has.

no fighter brings in 90 arrows anyways. fighter, bard, ranger and rogue uses some kind of arrow or bolt. decent QOL for all those classes

Every class that can use arrows or bolts will have the same access to quivers. No more arrow inventory spam for anyone. Makes it fair to all.

Considering the Q and E are mostly reserved for SKILLS*, would it just be better to give the other classes the ability to do the same thing overall?
for example: instead of Warlock having one ability [phantomize usually] and spellcasting, you have another button specifically for spellcasting and your usually q and e abilities you can use instead? Well sorcerers will be able to cast with bare hands, but will still just use their ability. It will just be like a wizard casting spell without a spellbook.
I would disagree in calling it better. Maybe in terms of ms sure, but at the cost of stats from books or staves, etc. we wonāt really know till we see it, Iād imagine it would be a lot more op with good gear (like most classes) to counteract the lack of stats from said weapons. Because the ms buff from not using a catalyst sounds pretty nice.
see that is something i would very much like changed if possible. the casters shouldn't have to equip a skill to spellcast. it's kinda part of their class.
@jolly pebble so i've got some reasoning for that but let me at least setup the question for you. Take Paladins and Eldritch Knights as the prime example here. You are aware of what they are as a class?
Yes sir, I play DnD tabletop so I am quite familiar with them.
Certain spells within all the classes tend to scale better with more augments while some spells are good at base. D&D has a few spells that suppliment classes like those very well. Eldritch Knights don't need alot of intelligence (or Knowledge in this case) for spells but they'd still favor ones like Shield or Green Flame Blade to augment their combat prowess.
Even tho DaD is DnD inspired. I wouldnāt try to compare them too heavily or youāll be a tad disappointed. They use the character concepts and some ideals and spells, etc, but a lot of DaD overall is their own thing with their own balance. I see where you are coming from but I doubt they will be able to implement a lot of those mechanics into the game.
i can only hope; in a few hours or so ill probably put up the usual suggestion for subclassing again.
Ideally if they try that road, i'd imagine your character training and perks would have a new square in the middle of your talents to slot a subclass and you only get 2 new talent slots for new subclassing talents as well as unlock new subclass abilities.
Think like Swashbuckler Rogue with either a rapier and buckler, Moon Druids Shapeshifting into Owlbears, Wizards having their schools of magic specialties (Necromancy could be wild with all the dead mobs you kill), etc.
I tried suggesting subclasses multiple times. When they tried to implement multiclassing to āgive players more identity and creativityā I knew it was going to be a bad idea from the get go and suggested they give each character up to 3 subclasses to choose from to start out. No combinations or anything crazy. Players would choose a subclass and role with it, if they didnāt like it they could spend some gold to respec and try out another. So I agree that subclasses would be very cool.
the thing is i can think of a plethora of things. Hell, "spellthief" rogue would get the funny mage hand ability to interact with doors and chests at range along with whatever small arsenal of spells they could cast. I'd definitely like to see more barbarians go dual wield over a two hander (berserker, sea reaver, etc.) Clerics with domains where their Channel Divinity does new things, etc. usually you can just turn undead OR do the thing your domain does.
Would be nice to see, however, for balance purposes I doubt we will see a lot of these changes being implemented. IM has a tough time balancing the current classes as it is. Subclasses (while very VERY cool) will likely be way to hard for them to balance. I imagine they will try some form of it but likely in their own way of doing things. Subclasses might just be a new way for them to give each class a set of passives, for example, the evocation subclasses on wizard will allow them to not hurt their allies with spells. Things of that nature is what Iād imagine they will do instead of the entire subclass and abilities that you and I are used to.
oh for sure. There would need to be some tweaking but cementing an identity to the subclass would be important. ironically it'd be warlocks that i'd be overhauling the hardest as they'd get their subclass at base and not after they hit 15 since it's more or less them choosing their Pact which does give them spells outside of warlock but their abilities and talents would be tied to who their patron is. They would just get more of their power after 15 more or less to say. (Think Phantomize being limited to a Warlock who has a pact with the Archfey)
Lots of interesting concepts for sure. Until then, all we can do at this point is critique them as they release new and unnecessary buffs/nerfs for classes that donāt need them and nobody asked for in the first place lol

Would like it for some of those features like i mentioned for rogue's swashbuckler they just don't get access to the stealth perks or ability for things like that. Definitely would like to be a more upfront rogue. or even a thug/enforcer where i'd get access to clubs or other bludgeoning weapon types things like that.

As far as i'm aware it's their game not our, they're not supposed to do what we ask for. Sometime it's the good move to do, sometime those "unnecessary buff/debuff" are really smart and make the game better. They've always worked like that, testing things, changing thing just to test how it'll work even if it's obviously not what seems needed or asked for. Sometime it make things worst, sometime it's super nice surprise that no on expected. Thats why the game is in Early access, so they have the freedom to test what they want
Buddy, the game has been in early access for a looooooong time now. Itās pretty clear what and what not to change at this point if they just played their game. Iām fully aware that they test a lot of things, but the past has revealed plenty and I do mean PLENTY of unnecessary buffs and debuffs that were clearly ludicrous and reverted shortly after. Rogue reworks/reverts, barb shouts, wizard nerfs, ranger buff after buff, warlock buff after buff etc the list goes on. At this point there really isnāt an excuse not to have an understanding of not only how to balance but also what the people (their fans who actually play the game) want to see to make the game fair for everyone.

They do stupid changes all the time. Like Completely buffing warlocks demon form to oblivion. only to nerf it AND another warlock build 2 days later. I love the devs 100%, but they do need a proper balance team who looks at the data and plays the game. Hopefully with arena a lot of stuff with balance gets easier to handle.

a game like Dark and Darker will evolve through seasons; i was aware of the zones from previous version and see it's not around anymore; multiclassing was before my time as well. They're adapting, tweaking, balancing, UNBALANCING, all to get it as right as they can as they develop more to the game.
They should get a Quiver at some point, that should fix the arrow issues

The reason the devs are adding quivers to the game is so classes who use arrows dont have to sacrifice inventory space. Not because of lack of space of said arrows.

I agree with you on that. If enough of the player base wants something changed, they likely will do it for them if the players hate something. But stuff like that is easily fixed by running test servers as mentioned previously before implementing it to the main game.
oddly crossbows are a wizard proficiency for weapons. I'm more surprised rogues don't get it.

Arena 100%. I've loved arena in all games. I love competitive aspects of games. Right now the biggest flex you can get is getting demigod, which is only a contest of who is best at clearing pve and avoiding pvp. Hopefully they will add a rank system to arena like the current one.

I think the rank system is planned for Arena it have been said in on of the latest Q&A if i'm right. Wonder if it'll work the same way. They said that we won't lose gear in Arena so I don't think the rank system should be the same. Maybe something more like Lol/Moba where you lose Rank if you don't play and being on top really means you are better than other (because if we don't lose gear at the end of season everyone will have almost perfect gear, so it'll be unfaire of you get the top rank early and can keep it all the season like demi god)

Mostly I want to see the quiver already. Arrows taking up inventory slots are the only think really keeping me from wanting to main Ranger. uhhh nice! hmmm i think they should make it so you dont lose "AP" without playing. I feel like there is a lot of downsides with it being that way. What if you wanna play something else and you just lose the rewards because of it. It's a weird case when they add gear into the mix. Like a ton of people can't get uber bis even close to wipe. People are also RMT'ing so they get an unfair advantage no matter what. Its weird when they add gear 100%. Imo they should limit the gearscore to 124 or something close, so gear can't get too expensive
I know a lot of people would dislike this suggestion Iām about to make, but I would really love to see a boss type enemy that roams the map constantly. One able to not only open doors but break them down if they see a target and give chase. Something with range and melee capabilities to really shake up the pvpve metas. I enjoy chaos of that manner.

Exactly! More people would be incentivized to build the base knowledge for invis pots and we would see them used a lot more not only for PvE but PvP as well! I always bring 6 invis pots of the purple rarity into raids on my fighter. Canāt tell you how many warlocks and wizards I have defeated because of those beautiful things. They never expect an invis fighter. Even mid fight breaking LOS and equipping/drinking. They never expect it and helps so much for catching those fast boys off guard and up close where running is no longer possible.
Well they've worked a lot and for a long time on Arena and teased us a couple time about the fact it would probably be more that what we except or can think of. And that time it'll go through the test server. Hopefully it'll turn well

Yes, I'm familiar with the backpack concept, but I just think it's bad, it's more and more fiddling with inventory and losing time with that, rather than spending it in what it's actually fun, which is exploring/looting/pvping/escaping
I brought the PoE system because it's made to minmax your spent time with inventory management and really makes that struggle dissapear almost completely.
I do feel like sorting your inventory is part of the game so I think just buying more tabs is the easy way out.
I think rather than making certain mechanics more common a better solution is to implement more systems.
Will add more layers to It but that's just my opinion on the situation. I also remember when there was only 1 stash tab, just what I'm used too I guess.

Dude, this is an invalid argument because it is already TRUE that players paying have advantage. More tabs won't give them MORE advantage necessarily, and being able to purchase shared tabs separately is potentially better for those looking to only pay for the stash tab rather than any of the other benefits of legendary edition, thus making it more affordable.
let me give you a recent example with tarkov. recently with the new package you get "deep pocket" or two more slots in each pocket meaning instant access to the items in these pockets. people happily paid $50 ontop of wha they already did the get these two extra slots in each pocket

This will be coming eventually, the devs said they are working on skill trees but they are a long way off. That was the point of multiclassing, to gather data on what would be strong and work with each class. And what would be op or busted.

ideally i'd like to actually avoid the multiclass altogether if possible. it's more or less to specialize into a field of those classes to begin with. (Fighter already has Slayer for Dual Wielding as an example that could be made better tailored for it's style.) It's to branch further into what the themes the subclass can bring out to enhance the gameplay and have a more unique touch to each classes fields of specializing overall. perhaps a ranger variant could do more of this and get access to some better armors as part of it. (we REALLY need chain/medium armor proper for classes.)
For example, you'd be able to take specific perks down a certain tree from other classes heavily controlled.

Like no cap; i'd play Eldritch Knight [Fighter] or a Dark Knight [Warlock; pact of the blade] variant of these two if given the chance. the problem for those is the fact spell casting is tied to Q and E instead of being an innate ability part of the class to begin with. Wizard and bard free up the need for spells/music in those slots and can put more useful things in there (not that bard technically needs it but classes that innately spellcast shouldn't have it tied to a Q/E if possible, save those for active abilities not ones that should be already part of the kit (maybe a new keybinding?)

TL;DR: Keep minimum 225 Gear Score HR lobbies. Add a base kit, or "sub25" gear score to the High Roller bracket. With or without an ante.
I have put a lot of thought into this. I really like the HR change for not only the health of the game, but the health of the playerbase. it entices the itch to really get into the thick of the high stakes enviornment of DaD. The change has FILLED the previously EMPTY HR lobbies.
That being said, it also hurts a part of the playerbase, including myself. why you may ask? simply put, my friends and I are not that good. Thats it. We dont have the skill to constantly stay on top, let alone have the skill to get the thousands of coins necessary on our respective classes to put up a solid fight against HR opponents. It's not simply gear diff - although putting together 225 gear score isnt all that hard or expensive - the kit is going to suck if you ONLY have that 225 number in mind, whilst on a budget. We have spent some time going in with budget 225-250 kits just to play high roller, and the lobbies are now full due to the popularity of the change. This is a great thing! The only problem is, we dont run into other like minded "bad players" where the only thing that matters is just getting into the lobby. We run into people who spent time and gold putting together a badass kit. kits intended on being used to kill other players. (obviously.)
This is not a bad thing, its kind of the point of playing High Roller as well as the awesome loot. This brings me to the point of my long winded suggestion: The new HR system puts a blockade in front of the casual playerbase, and the "bad player" playerbase. There are a lot of us. We cannot compete, we cannot get AP for the rewards. There is now a barrier between me and playing HR: the plethora of other players that can beat me 99%-100% of the time, gear diff or not. "get good" may be the only counter to this point, but this leads me to my suggestion.
Please, add a "sub 25" gear score bracket to the high roller lobbies, and keep the "225 minimum" as well. This requires PvE knowledge and map knowledge to survive. This change feels like it stays in line with the game that the devs are trying to create, a dungeon crawler with no forgiveness. It lets noobs like me try my best in the hard dungeon and have a chance at even getting good gear, now that the good gear is being blockaded by other players. A change like this would also keep in check the AP grinders. Surely, you see that no gear in HR is difficult to make through, so the AP is earned in that sense. This also creates very little incentive for people that want the best gear to stay out, as they will continue with the 225 GS minimum lobbies to PvP for the good gear.
Basically, the HR change has put a blockade in even being involved in HR at all, without ENDLESS grinding in low roller for lots and lots of gold for a good kit. Didnt run HR for good gear before? well, you wont survive in HR now. Cant go into HR now because of the change and gear diff? too bad, chump.
^ that feels like the only answer to this change at this moment.

hot take, i think player to player trading should be removed and replaced with a more basic market where only gear/utility items that are sold by players to merchants appear at predetermined prices.

IMO they should add 2 queues for high roller. 1. is 1-224 and the other is 225+. This way players like you and a lot of others can realistically play highroller and learn that way and people who dont want to play against "rats" can. Luckily for me i grinded all my characters to wanderer before the change. If i did after i would have hated it.
More queues = more dead lobbies. I'd wager 20% of the actual playerbase plays HR ATM so empty lobbies are fairly common. I think this would make it worse tbh
100%, but this is also 1 month before wipe. I get empty lobbies only at around 23-04. When wipe happens we are getting way more players.
20% is pushing it. My guess is its actually closer to 5
I think theres a deeper issue here, the fact that the only real threat to players with some amount of experience are other players. I think the base mobs in hr should be much more threatening, incentivising players to bring in gear to be able to get through the mobs. the fact that most experienced players can go into hr as base kit and not have to worry about dying to mobs is a problem in my eyes.
i beg to differ. I have been playing all season, and 225+ Gear score HR lobbies were dead previous to this change. The big bad boy lobbies were the highest gear bracket "normal lobbies". thats where the high gear PvP'ers had to go to find other players.
If you now que into the highest gear bracket low roller lobby, you will find it EMPTY in all maps and ques. there is no longer an incentive to play here as the HR bracket has been "fixed". One reason is the que size change, its a big stop to ratting.

This goes against the reason for my change suggestion - its more of an "all or nothing" attitude. The lower gear bracket still allows for min/maxing and superior gear to shine. the base kit lobby is more of a death sentance to even begin to allow noobs and bad players to begin experiencing the "next level" of the game.
This que only appeals to AP farmers (generally solo aka no friends to play with), and to low skilled players that normally play low roller. Why would someone with 50K+ in gear and gold want to go low gear HR a majority of the time? sure, it would be fun to kill people a few times... but consistently? that consistency would lie in the playerbase that is stuck in the middle such as myself. Too much time in low roller to keep playing, too bad to play HR.
For druids
we're kinda in a spot where we are the jack of all trades without the tools to do any of them.
Wanna be melee? Cool start with 12 str.
Wanna build shape-shifting? Panther like bear you can't even practice without sacrificing lots of gear to the 124 or 225 brackets because with squire gear you just cannot, base kit you're so fucked compared to other classes in sub 25
So you would think we're supposed to play as caster.
. Enjoy your one single damage spell that you kinda wanna hold onto because it's also one of your most valuable heals.
Also almost nothing will scale with magic bonuses.
Weapon selection? Well you don't get any ranged weapons so enjoy your spear or mace.
Skills? Well the other classes have a bunch for different playstyles and boosts in magic, physical and weapon damages. We get... the ability to find flowers and another skill that's 1000% mandatory for every build which means it should be baked into the class to at least let us pretend to have options.In 5e when you wild shape you retain your mental stats and your physicals are set to a number. We could easily have the same here for each form, have bear and panther at 30 str or dex. Or have them scale flat from gear score, and or bracket as the base to be augmented. Keeping it from being too strong would be the main focus.
Then we could use perks like the wizard masteries like panther master, bear mastery ect that could specifically scale up their damage. Giving us at least some options. The other classes get weapon or will % skills we could easily do the same and allow some variance
but these experienced players will have less incentive to use this lobby. simply for the efficiency. It is not easy to farm mobs and loot to the same degree as having a decent gear character.

on HR u have diff things than normal, harder mobs, u cant learn them on normal mode, so basically spending everything u have to somehow have this 225 HR and get no diffed by some blue skeleton
This was my experience as well. Lost an entire wipe of Low roller grinding worth of gear and gold getting to that 225 GS, just to go in and loot one module - and get absolutely destroyed by a player. This happened continuously.
The fact that you have to be trio to queue trio is 100% gonna lead to more people in the best scenario where there is enough people to fill the lobby since a solo who goes in trio will take up an entire team slot.

First of all there wasnāt a 225+ gear score bracket before. There wasnāt even any bracket. People just wasnāt grinding AP. This has happened EVERY season⦠when rewards get shown people start to grind them wayyy more than before. Ofc some people only go in HR to pvp, but thatās a small portion rn.

I do not agree, that was not my experience for a solid 9-10 runs of HR across the weekend. I was completely wiped by another squad 100% of the runs we tried.

Changes all the Animal form attack scaling to 18+STRx0.5625 for Bear, 25+AGIx0.5 for Panther and 25+RESx0.5625 for Chicken.
Not as broken in the high end, not utterly useless in <24gs, slightly better at BiS <124gs
Also change the revert-to-human skill to Press <Cancel key> to return to human, and free up another wild shape slot.
And make the Treant spell Tier 3 instead of 5, no need to revert the count as having too many summon needlessly prolong the fight but having it being tier 5 makes PVE painful.

It is a massive buff to base gear druid and minor buff to <124gs BiS druid.
Nerf to high tier Druid (~200gs range) and Big nerf to absolute BiS Druid (~500+gs range).
This is to fix the scaling issue where low tier druid are completely useless while top tier are completely borked.
imo a wayyyy more important change they should do is after they have made so instruments have specific slots in you inventory (not in toolbelt) they should do so it autoswaps between instruments. When playing a drum song it just pulls the drum up instantly when playing. Feeling more like how a wizard does it. Bard is a insanee class, but not a lot enjoy playing it because of the annoyance of both having no space in toolbelt, but also having to juggle instruments.

100% agree. I love how warlocks can have life drain build, demon build, curse build and they are all vastly different to play. Every class should have different playstyles like that

while i think its fine, the agility focus might also be part of the problem as well. might need to add another sub skill that gives you more acrobatic abilities that might be a way to add some build diversity so you're not stuck with who's the fastest. though i admit it might end up going from who can move the fastest to who can jump the farthest/highest lmao
i think warlock and cleric and fighter might be the only classes with multiple playstyles that actually 'work' while everyone else is stuck doing one thing since their perk/weapon/gear choices aren't the best

bard has rapier mastery but thats just cause movement for that class is a must and rapier is the lightest weapon they have with the lowest ms cost i play it different but i know it's not optima. then there's like charismatic which is another must since bard's entire gimmic revolves around a minigame which has a pretty high % of failure the other 2 are usually optional but there are perks that are recommended for optimal play
Charismatic was Def the closest I was thinking about, but you CAN still play without it, if good enough. But yeah it's kinda the no Brainer pick for them like mastery for us

It's hard to say, currently it's rough to test at high levels because you've gotta buy a kit and lose it while practicing if you mess up because high and low play are so vastly different

~1100g <124gs build can give you around 35 STR and you become a 3 Shot Bear on virtually everyone (2 shot on low gear wizard/Ranger/Rogue)

The game play has completely changed in HR due to the new GS implement. I had no problem in HR and now I keep running into people mostly legendries just hunting for pvp, when I usually just go in with blue gear at the min lvl. I hate the new change

Changes all shapeshift base scaling to (17.5 + ATTIRBUTE x 0.5625) x multiplier, Make Panther 70% -> 75% health, Bear 150% -> 200% health and remove bonus PDR, Chicken 40% -> 50% health, Rat 5% -> 3.125% Health. Make chicken peck easier to land and make the heal heals 30 HP flat. Make bear able to crouch, which reduces the hitbox just enough to go through doors
Druid shapeshifts are completely useless on random gears/<24gs, broken on >225gs. This should make druid performs similarly across the entire gear range (40 ATTIRBUTE reference), also QOL. -

It adds 30 seconds into a fight for no reason.
If the druid are willing to sits for 20 seconds for an extra summon mid-fight, powers to them, but otherwise having the first 30 seconds being summon spam is just pointless
Hydra should be addressed separately, add a cooldown of 30 seconds, summon another hydea within the cooldown increases the cooldown stack by 1 and reset the timer. You take more damage the more hydra fatigue cooldown stack you got.
adds 30 seconds if you don't full ignore the treent kinda your fault if you treat it as a threat. dies in three hits and is slow, you can legit just walk around it if you kite it to you. its just a poking a pveing tool, and hydra can barely hit the broad side of a barn at close range

i have played druid to level 170 this season and mained him until the big nerfs came. Honestly the rat should say a noise every once in a while imo, but the treant thing was 100% unneccesary. Like even in under 25 gs lobbies people killed it sooo fast. Majority of the time treant got a kill was if i was fighting a complete timmy. Now i just use it to block doors really and even at that it isnt crazy.

IMO the game needs a few things to Realize some of the movement in game so not everyone can just run. Players should get a MS penetaly for removing clothes while running and it should take longer to unequip/equip and item while moving. Tired of trying to push a ranger and getting close to see them stripping mid sprint. I promise most people wouldn't be able to remove Plate armor/most chest or pants while running full sprint without compromising their speed. if someone can take off a full suit of armor while maintain a sprint please send me a video and i will be impressed. All jumping to land should have a MS penalty. Makes sense to keep your momentum while you jump but landing should slow you down a lil bit like a rgues double jump. Fighter in full plate shouldnt be able to get close to MS cap. It makes no sense a guy wearing so much weight can be as fast as someone of same class wearing cloth and leather gear. I get its a fantasy game and i have no problems with things like wizards warlocks and druids using magice or summoning thing or shapeshifting. When i think of those classes that kind of the idea i had. But when i think of a plate fighter I don't imagine someone running as fast as usain bolt wearing 50-60 lbs of steel. Thats not including weapons and shield either.
Unlike the clarity potion which is craft-gated, this thing can be looted in dungeon. (Marketplace 40g per potion)
Also it is a direct nerf to all magic user as this is a specific block to them (Wizard got hurt the most, followed by warlock/cleric and bard)

Wizard are THE hardest class to play correctly and you have to be playing them perfectly to be as good as fighter/longsword Warlock/Barb.
Wizard is not even close to being as hard as bard, druid and hell even rogue.
There is also tons of MR options to build in games. Maybe if you are running into more wizards you should swap around some gear to include MR. I know a fighter with a good set can pretty much hit 60% MR and PR. Barbs can get really high as well and locks have that anti magic perks they naturally have 25% resistance. Just got to make some gear sacrifice
this is arguable, but wiz has for the most part had the least health and the most time sitting being vulnerable. Outside of recent buffs they have been hurt the most with the new armors having so much magic resist
i think they need to do an entire rework of how movement speed works. The fact that you can have +2 agi on every piece of gear is dumb imo. +5 per lego jewelry and some pieces like frostlight warden outfit gives 6 agi as a base stat. IMO every class should have base speed 300. gear gives only minus movespeed except for boots. Then you balance classes movespeed depending on gear + abilities. Cap of 330 is fine. This way its WAY easier to balance a class' movespeed. Simply saying these pants give -3 movespeed instead of -5.
Right now people can have a weapon out and be 330 movespeed which is ridiculous. The improvements you mentioned would 100% also be a great improvement
druid and rogue are the fastest class so they should be the easist to disengage
Wizard and ranger shine the most if given enough space to poke. The door way spam is getting pretty old in trios with frontline holding vs meding wizard. There needs to be more of an opening for classes to be able to push past the splash damage and bs. THey buffed missing on their fireball. That's just a bad change overall, you don't have to be as skilled now.
My biggest complaint atm is the fact that blue pots work in lower/mid lobbies to bring in. High roller it's w.e just afford the pots on the market. I just don't see why not giving the option to take a bunch of purp grey/whites.
if we could bring in a ton of crazy pots into below 124 then it would mess it up sooo bad xD

Instead of abil like stealth, Tumble, Smoke bombs they should get abilities like a flash pot (think like a 2 charge ability recovaerable by campfire sitting that acts like a franch axe the pretty much shares a blind effect like clerics holy strike), ability to close the gap and abilities (I like the idea of a short sprint to a slide which if you hit a target with the slide it slows them and you wouldn't be able to use weapons during the short sprint window - i been talking w/ buds it should be called sweep the leg) to make em harder to hit like a lunge (think like a ranger backstep but you have more controll which way you are going). By adding a few more abils that are actually usefull would make thing like plugging obselete or at least able to be deal with. Like if a fighter had a shield out and used sprint it would be more like a shield charge that would stat check phys power. So if a fighter with less phys power gets charged the get pushed back like trying to block a roided barbs double axe

I think it's be the easiest thing to implement. Such an easier fix than tweaking the magic casters a bunch. Then you're not having to stack mr only with your gear. Once you're gear is set to something there's little flexibility to adapt to a comp full of a certain type of damage.
I think we all should be given the option of rock, paper and scissors.. rather than being like welp.. I got rock, guess we just get shit on by paper. HOPEFULLY we don't go anywhere near a paper comp. Sigh

Landing already slows you down a bit my man
Yes and no. Do a time run of 10s normal runing vs b hoping vs spam jumping. Landing does -20 ms for a fraction of a second (a very insignificant amount). if you are spam jumping for sure slows you down significantly because chance of you jumping during momentum loss is very likely. But if u take a step after jumping and bhop you are essentially going the same speed as if u just run. There is a reason why the top ranger spam jump. Not only does it make it harder to tell if they are jumping over their own trap so they dont give it away bt also it doesnt come at a cost to them
the devs want bhopping as a feature. it wasnt innitially inteded but they dont see it as an issue currently.
I think some sort of skill expression to the movement is great for the game, especially since its pretty small.

If you dont build mass agi you are significantly underpowered u cant touch most other classes. Skill expression should be based on class. Prime Example Druids. Panther hoping, Rat tunneling etc. It takes timing and skill to go through most doors and significantly more skill to do a rat hole on a door thats on a incline or decline. Jumping around every .5s isnt skilll. its not hard to do its just dumb. I dont have a problem when people prime attacks via jump swing to not lose momentum or jump draw or jump begin to cast. Like it took me some time on apex to learn wall bouncing and tap strafing. Then it takes more time and effort and knowledge to know when its viable to wall bounce or tap strafe if you do it at a bad time you get punished. Whats the negative effect of spamming jump in this game every .5s? hell i can make a mouse auto macro that will do it for me i never even hav to think about it lol
also if you want to show how skilled you are maybe the should look into something that takes timing and precision like chambering

Frannies used to be better, but they got nerfed into the dirt because people complained. So now we have weaker frannies that deal less damage than a bard's thrown drum, poof on impact, and that can't be stacked. A weak bow would be great.
IM needs to change the inferno boss room.. there should be an altar in the boss room that allows you to summon ANY OF THE BOSSES. especially with the quests. It's ridiculous how much time I have to Invest just hopping to even have a chance at attempting the boss I want.

Most decent druid players can only consistantly do flat rat tunnels and sometimes does the panther slide correctly. And its not timing and precision the -20 ms reduction is a fraction of a second once you are off that fraction of a second you can jump so i can clip a video get the exact point of when the ms is no longer penalize and then make a simple macro via LG to do bhoping for me and have it just repeate loop and set it to what ever key i want. If you're complaining about barbarians being too fast when they need to wear the lightest gear possible and every move speed bonus they can get to even have a chance of gap closing, you're legitimately bad at whatever you're playing. It's basically a melee only class

crossbows don't really fit the barbarian aesthetic despite barbarians having all martial weapon prowess. im a bit surprised they don't get knives to throw or a perk for throwables in general since hurling things seems up their alley.
as mentioned earlier, a recurve bow seems more in line both as a ranged option and aesthetically it'd technically be their bow for hunting. (frankly survival bow needs to go.)

Get Rid of druids Chicken ability. ITS absolutely useless, like 5 health, when your a healer seems redundant. the animation is too long and the cancel to it is broken. waste of a skill and kinda feels like a lazy, (just thrown in there) ability. Your a healer so why add a shape that heals, and its like 5 health. Make it quicker or fix the cancel, gotten me killed when i only ever accidently use it. 5 second animation with a bugged cancel seems like a huge oversite. rat form ability is also broken, not showing the timer between using it

HOLY this is so frustrating, twice now in 4 runs ive spawned in HR on frost caves in a room with 2 archer and 1 melee kobolds and a 2 handed giant. the room is way too hard its just been - 500gold^ twice now because even though im being careful trying to clear the kobolds quickly the giant still aggros from super far away and then its just me running in circles unable to attack without getting hit until I die.
Cant even leave the small 25% of a room it spawns you blocked off in because of the 5 mobs and how tight it is š¦

Suggestion of making the infernal pledge make u take less damage to yourself from demon form and others. Also make it to where in demon form you can cast spells if you have spells slotted in the demon spell slots so you can only cast them in demon form
Could replace the 2nd memory slot and make demon form a little better and not completely broken would add more variety so say could run blow of corruption or phantomize as a perk then demon form as another and you can't use the 2nd perk while in demon form so balanced out.
so funny story; demon form attacks have a hard time hitting anything nibbling at your toes. the attacks could use some revisions alignment where the attacks are going.
Then use a long sword.
They should make quests later in the game locked behind a gear score threashold, so that newer players aren't up against level 100's and up doing easy quests.

make it so that if you disconnect you cant take damage or pull aggro till you reconnect. i dont seem to have connection issues often but i always seem to have them when i run geared and its super annoying loosing an epic/legendary kit because you lost connection in front of a basic enemy

TL;DR: A cook or blacksmith-type class focused on gathering items only they can see and making items that scale with their level would be nice both for the economy and for those players who prefer to avoid the toxicity and competitive nature of PVP.
One of the greatest appeals of dungeon crawlers, besides fighting monsters, is finding better gear and harnessing your skills. But there's also a massive portion of RPG players who adore the slower, more laid-back nature of certain RPGs, think crafting and resource gathering of games like Runescape or EVE Online and how it affects their player-driven economies. A large problem D and D faces is its toxicity. I've seen many players turned off by how competitive the game is, even though they really enjoy the idea of fighting monsters and getting better and better both in gear and in skill. A class focused on PvE with supportive elements would be great for those players. They don't need to be terribly weak either, as seen with the Bard class.

As it stands, D and D does have something resembling a crafting system, though it's very bare-bones and extremely limited both in practicality and overall value, not to mention it's not very fun. Handing that system instead over to the players seems like an interesting idea to me. It would increase demand for things like ores, plants, and monster drops. If you've seen or heard of Delicious in Dungeon, you might already have a pretty good idea of why I find a cook specifically interesting. If you really want to get crazy with it, you could even add small minigames to it, and create player homes/shops where they fulfill player made orders for specific items in exchange for gold or items.
also the player homes could totally be used for saving Otto in light of the new matchmaking change, and maybe even adding other familars.

while an interesting idea, adding new items and professions is a danger all it's own as well as a new class while it has a functional Free-To-Play. At best we're going to get new things to interact with in order to acquire said materials. what should be happening is that if one were to harvest said materials, they should better utilize a skill related to it along with Resourcefulness acting as the secondary addition to completing it quicker. For example; mining is more of a back backing laborious task that should scale either with either Strength, Vigor, the lower between the two, or some Partial scaling Between the two + resourcefulness.
Crafting and Profession classes are best left to the NPCs. There is however the Craftsman class in 5e that could potentially be tailored to Dark and Darker and would make use of such fine, raw materials for making things IN the dungeon.
That being said, the other problem just pure crafter classes is the fact that people are insane enough to just have alt accounts just to have a class market manipulate or even dual/trio box to trade between your alts. It's best in this case to leave the gatherer/crafter classes to said MMOs and not dark and darker

Yeah I really hate subclasses in games. I donāt want to see all this subclass stuff that Iāll have to then learn. I like where they are going with it! Where you are one thing and nothing else. They plan to split a lot of classes into new classes and Iād much rather see this game have a wide variety of classes like D&D. Which has 13 total. I could get down with like 10-15 classes total that just shift based on expansions and community feedback. Also Iām more concerned with them implementing the lower levels to 100+. I think people want to experience more exploration with rest areas to resupply and sell. This will bring a massive wave of pve players and more funding for the game. We honestly could take a break on all classes considered and hit this note first. Then revisit everything else!
A fair point, but I disagree. While yes, I do think that there are some under-utilized aspects of the stat system, I feel that isn't related to the addition of PvE focused classes. Ultimately, the goal with more economy and exploration focused classes it to give less competitive players a way to enjoy the game, whilst flushing out the actual dungeon part of dark and darker.
To be clear, I don't mean just adding new collectibles, it would also entail an entirely new update to the functionality of the marketplace. The classes would need to have PvP viability, and that's not a very hard thing to add. They might not have any flashy abilities, but they can still use the same weapons, but are assisted with their own proficiencies. A cook's consumables would take 2 - 4 slots but would grant certain buffs at the cost of the resources they need to find to make them. So while on their own they're middling at best, their real strength comes in the form of granting supportive buffs to allies. Same thing for a blacksmith (though perhaps an enchanter would be better?); low base stats but good buffs to ally weapons at the cost of mob drops or ores in a match.
I fundamentally disagree that anything besides purchasing base items and completing quests should be left to NPCs. If IM wanted to have NPCs do most of the work they could leave the prices to NPCs as well, but them leaning towards player-driven economy would be better if they didn't stop halfway. There are many players who just don't have the time to constantly practice their PvP skills, or just hate how toxic the PvP is. While you could say "oh then this just isn't the game for them" I feel like that's a lazy point. Giving players a way to work together and build a stronger sense of community and respect for each other through doing business, without infringing on the competitive aspect and instead bolstering it can only be positive for the game's health.
And sure, there are likely kinks that need to be ironed out with it, but something like this isn't made in a day, unlike my half-assed suggestion to their website. Ultimately this is IMs game, I love where it's at and even should they decide against developing the community in that direction, I'm still very excited to see where they go with it, and will follow along the whole way.
Ironmace, the Druid rat form is broken. To think you can just turn into rat all the time and just avoid combat the way you see fit is just nonsense. There has to be some sort of cooldown to not allow players to spam rat form.
So i was curious about whats going on in the new high rollers.
Most of games i did, i get rushed by teamed up players.
So i went to investigate. I have bought cheapest epic weapons to fill my inventory with to fit into gs req, went into lobby and died at the beginning to be able to spectate.
In 8 out of 10 lobbies, it was the same. There were people that teamed up when first meet and they went after other players, kill them and strip of gear.
Why is this happening? Because of that gs requirement. 225gs requires some good pieces of gear so you are guarranteed loot piÅata for anyone who kills you. So it encourages players to such behavior. They pick up 5k+ gold kits and go on player hunt. For newer players, its annoying, not fun to play and obnoxious.
This was a bad change, Ironmace. Please, get rid of it.
And no, "git gud" will not apply here.
Imo teaming should be bannable even when "organic" if people do it to run on other player and PvP only. The only way it would be fine to me is if a team fight an other, a third one appear and two team, on the move, decide to team against one of the other, like it was not planned at all. And still even like that I'm not sure it won't be an issue. Imo teaming is ok (except pre teaming) as long as you don't PvP

I wouldn't say ALL the transformations. That rat form is the problem. Nerfing too much Druid forms is gonna be underwhelming to play. I mean fine, let Ironmace give rats more escape routes. Regardless, the cooldown for rat form should suffice for balance.
OR let the action speed determine how fast Druid can transform. Now this is just a mere suggestion since I don't know how this would affect the overall Druid gameplay.

Ice mastery is extremely obnoxious on the receiving end especially as a melee class as there really isnāt much counter to it besides something to block with or hoping the wizard misses but due to most maps having doorways and hallways that funnel you into one general area itās almost a 99% guarantee a good wizard punishes that decision to be there with again with very little counter play, even peak faithfulness PALES in comparison to ice mastery and itās extremely consistent slow with spell overload giving more charges and meditation giving said charges back significantly faster than holy strikes and judgement, literally go try running with two good wizards and watch as everyone you fight is unable to move consistently and often stand completely still due to the ice mastery firing squad, personally i feel it needs a internal cool down because at least with fireball ect spam you can still get close
If you split them apart and have one skull in each slot they give unique 21AP points if you have them stacked up even if you have 9, it is only worth 21ap points. Not sure it is an exploit or a bug. Gold skeleton teeth act the same way. Candy canes did too on the Christmas event.
I think Devs should commit to a proximity VoIP intended game, placing restrictions/disadvantages and look for benefits over using Discord. We have a small but solid proximity VoIP community already and i think the matches with VoIP interactions even if you don't want to be friendly are the best ones. Also i don't think me using VoIP should be a disadvantage because the rest of the lobby is talking with their teammates through Discord.
VoIP should be an other environmental sound. If you mute VoIP you should be muting all other players sounds effects, up to you 𤷠.
If people abuse VoIP by placing annoying sounds should be timed out/penalized from talking through it but not listening.
To deal with Discord usage you can't just ban your players from using it so there i think Devs should just make VoIP more attractive.

You don't have to record all the time, you could record just when the game detects high decibels. Or not recording at all but add at least a reporting system where you can specify that this specific player is abusing VoIP.
thats still an issue as if you get jumped by a, for example, rogue. you would reasonable scream and proc the system and as for the reports without any recording they cant take any action. bc how tf do you differentiate false reports from actual reports

Bring back the old high roller entrance fee and get rid of the minimum gear score or at least bring it down, I liked going in with base gear and then finding better gear to replace it which helped with ap gains

I don't think my suggestion would kill DaD, is a good long term decision. If the game dies will be because they cant differentiate themself enough from their competitors. Competitors with more money and more approachable to casual players like those who wants to play without VoIP.

First is not death, second that wasn't the reason. The game is loosing players yes but players are in good term with the game and will come back whenever they release a update worth of coming back, or when players rest from killing 100.000.000.000.000.000 Bugs. I vod all my games and if you got banned by my report itās because you clearly are cheating. I caught a guy who literally wiped the whole map then went to just one mob before he ran to the other person to kill and on that mob was a green spell book. Which was a perfect upgrade right before he went to kill the other guys. That person was clearly cheating! I doubt they are making any ban mistakes they watch your live games all the time. They have copies of events and have people watching your games when you get flagged. Itās not so simple. The devs will watch your games.

By not participating with others because you want to self isolate you take away the experience from others who came to interact with other people because life can be lonely and games can be fun to play even with the random casual person whoās here to have fun too. Self isolation can come any other time of the day. Doesnāt need to be tea time while rummaging through loot.
A real quality suggestion is to remove the 225 GS requirements for high roller and bring it back as a gold sink or like 175 GS.
Yeah anyone who doesnāt use the VoIP system is just anti social. Itās just not fun falling into a lobby with people who are just in their own worlds. I just head hunt those people off the start and take their loot. Iāve left more people alive because of VoIP and have had some funny/fun interactions with others who arnt teenagers on a hacking rage spree screaming racial slurs. But from that perspective I can see why you have it muted. But itās not a punishment you can still call your friends over your phone. Look I used to play hardcore with full on rage metal blasting through my mic using stereo mixing. As I literally would scorched earth every room with my barbarian smashing through every door causing complete chaos. I completely agree VoIP hands down can be abused. I put a suggestion for warlock on the suggestion page if interested please upvote. Basically saying infernal pledge should make it to where the demon damage you take while in demon form gets reduced by the 25%. Also making it to where you could cast spells in demon form only if you had spells equipped under the demons spell ability's so say u had the spells on the demon and not out of the demon you couldn't use them. So then they could get rid of the 2nd memory slot under warlock and change up some builds to where could do demon plate with like phantomize as a 2nd or boc could also keep it to where it can use dark bolt with nothing equipt and ect.
You guys should add a statue/ totem in the boss room in hell. Then have 2 skulls (Skelton warlord and lych) and the ghost king crown in the middle of the room. depending on which one you place on the statue/ totem it will summon that specific boss. Having a random chance at fighting the boss you need for a specific quest or item is just tedious, I think this would benefit players. @Graysun @sdf

Bounty system where you see an essence of your targets soul you kill them and extract it for a bounty system. If solo you see one person if duo your team member sees the teammate of your bounty. If they die the essence dissappear but you can still have a chance of finding the body.

- Please do something about mobs blocking. Dying stuck in the air because of spider mummys and the likes is not realistic and not fun. Maybe the purpose is to make the game more difficult but I'm not sure this is important. Out of the many solutions possible, I thought maybe add a skill for every class that on use make you push monsters for a few seconds, could be implemented with kind of push animation and if you want a downside on the use of the skill you can make so that the character cannot do or use anything with the buff on.
- Sorry probably already discussed feature, make a "common buy" feature, prob through the squire. You set up the potions, bandages, campfire kit and everything you want in the amount you want and you can buy what you set up in one click. Technically, the squire goes to the merchants for you.
- Add music for bard, I am thinking especially about a music that lights the surroundings especially since the bard have so much utility items (instruments) they cannot afford to have a torch in this slot. Maybe that can be solved if the torch is in a specific slot ? That might have been already discussed.
Maybe add some features or spells that are typical of bards in trpg such as dungeons and dragons.

peacemaking is probably one of the worst songs and I also think it needs some work, it affects your team and the enemy, it doesn't last enough to even let you go to a safe place and it takes a lot of time to play it
If you are surrounded, you will not have time to play it, and if you manage to play it, it doesn't last enough to even let you escape, also, once those couple secs of the song end, all the monsters (and players) are still around you so you are gonna die once it finishes
Even worse, other players will be able to use healing potions or other things even if they cant fight, but you aren't able to even open a door or run since you are stuck in walking/playing
I think a proper rework could be than once the song is finished it applies the effect of pace to all entities on range (including the bard itself) but it no longer needs the bard to keep playing it, this way the bard also cant fight but it can use potions, open/close doors, etc.

I don't think it's an issue than can be fixed that easily or that they want/can fix. Anticheat are very expensive and/or intrusive (like Riot anticheat who is said to be effectiv but is deeply link to your computer and access too much stuff). Imo that's why they chose to deal with via reporting and banning instead and that can work too, especially since they announced to add a system like Counter Strike where player can judge suspicious player to ban them.
Unfortunately no game ever really found the solution to cheater and farmer, and for a small studio like IM it would probably be too expensive. Imo they're dealing with cheater the right way and are about to add new tool to deal with it, the new matchmaking system that remove the pre lobby will also remove the inspection phase, I don't know how ESP work but that will hopefully make it harder for them to spot the team with good stuff. And this player judging system will help a lot in banning cheater more efficiently (we can imagine that if you use that system and that your judgement have lead to a high enough number of legit ban then you can get blue or red shard every season)

Can the devs make changes to the Ice Abyss map? I spawned in the inverted pyramid room, which is low on light, and began to back up from a skeleton running to me when I fell into a tiny square hole in a corner that was just a bottomless pit resulting in instant death-as well as no gear retrieval from the goblin merchant.
This seemed very unfair as instant death aspects are usually obvious like in the normal first map where certain modules clearly present the large open drops as being dangerous and in a way that would not make your death feel undeserved if you managed to fall into it.

I just started trying solo HR and don't want to bring in bis of the bis gear since i'm trash at solo pvp, and I get queued with demigods and other higher ranks that simply gear dif me no matter what. They should make the game have ppl queueing into lobbies only 2 or 3 higher ranks than them. Or they should set another gear score limit for HR, norms has 0-25-125 why shouldnt HR have something like that. I think that would have fixed the ratting situation or whatever else they wanted to do even better but maybe that's just me

When you're searching for items in the market, make it so you can search by key words ---EX: boots won't pull up all boots. It only searches in the order it's typed.

Im sure there has been an arena mode suggestion or possible tournament style gameplay discussed. That would be my suggestion. An avenue for direct team fights in a competitive arena could attract another group of players and open up tournament opportunities for events/fundraisers. Gear score dependent arenas could help balance things competitively like the current dungeon GS restrictions.

It's because the devs generally only make number value changes to classes instead of slight mechanic changes to perks or abilities, this is what is causing the constant yo-yoing of some classes being too strong or too weak.
Prime example of this is Wizard; they keep bumping up its damage then nerfing it into oblivion, the reason this happens is they are only changing the damage numbers not how his spells work, if you up Magic Missiles base damage they should maybe consider lowering the amount of projectiles. But this isn't how they've been approaching balance changes.
So when is HR going to be changed back? No one likes the change

Then when loading into the actual match I get disconnected or something in the load screen. The game asked, "would you like to reconnect to the game? If you don't all of your stuff will be lost." I'm just waiting for this to get me killed. Plus having a slow start can really hurt, especially when playing with friends

they have anti cheat but its been circumvented and is in need of updates, EAC is the same as no anti cheat and BattlEye is actually a great idea, if they can afford it
Saying EAC is the same as no anticheat isnt true. EAC uses a kernel module to prevent memory access & edit to the game process (which will require a signed kernel driver from cheaters side to actually make a working cheat). Its something, for sure better than nothing, considering is 100% free.
I'm not going to link it, but EAC is compromised, theres a site that sells cheats that updates live within minutes of any EAC patch. It's one of the most notorious cheatmakers.
idk how they do it but they seem to have a solution ready to go for each patch, they then put a greenlight on their website next to the game after the EAC hack has been confirmed working

They should add some "betrayal multiplier" that increases the longer you hang out near someone who isn't on your team/in solos, maybe increasing especially if you attack other players with the help of that player. The higher it gets, the more damage you deal on the first hit of a ranged or melee attack against said player. Basically discincentivizing teaming by making it easier to quickly kill someone you're teaming with, either accidentally or intentionally.
Though it should track if you're doing things like healing, debuffing, or shooting near/swinging near that player's hitbox.
Make the map timers before switch longer, three minutes is nothing. I hate going into a map i want to do, dying and then having to wait 9 more minutes again before getting to do that map

there are so many things like this to fix, i just wish i knew for once why it's going the way it is with almost every game that comes out lately. cycle frontier for example had the same issue (excluding the cheaters which are a problem in every game), the quality of the gameplay is barely improved and with new content which had all the focus on brought the quality down even more...quality needs to be up there in the priority list

wildshape to use bear missile 3000 and other animal forms is the only thing druid has going for it, quite literally. They used to be solid in a few areas, not amazing, or perfect but decent enough, and after the hard nerf thats all they have. Youd kill the class if they did that. Learn them counters, how to move and make them reset and when to get em as theyre a chicken, etc.
It needs a full overhaul ill give you that but fighting against someone who is either the tankiest or so agile that its nearly impossible to hit them isnt fun to play against

Id say personally buff the forms but make it so theres a cooldown to change the animal, so if you chose a bear you have to wait a good 30 sec before chosing something else (other than human)

if it has any distinguishable features from a real player (ie invisible) it will be detectable by cheats- if it is indistinguishable from a real player then players will get confused when they see ghost players in their vision

It would never be used as a casting tool the same way crystal sword is never used as a casting tool.
How fast are the swings? because if it deals more damage and is faster than the kriss dagger every demonlock will use it and demonlock will get nerfed again. (at if it is slower and its moveset worse nobody will use it as demonlock)
it may not at present, which is why i said it would catch some, but cheat developers would recognize this and patch it out, rendering the method useless to any cheats that are updated for it
this could work sort-of if IRONMACE created methods like this rapidly to fool and detect cheats faster than cheaters could put out new cheats, but the worry then is that eventually they run out of tricks and all of them would be patched and accounted for in the cheat software

No date at all at least 5-6 month from now i'll say. Sorcerer will be released in an early stage in a month, they'll probably keep improving it before starting the Monk. Also there is a chance that they choose to focus other stuff than adding another class after Sorcerer release.
They plan to add another social space, a "Gathering hall" like the pre lobby was and even better. Where you can talk to other player, test your gear fighting your friend (maybe even other player in the Hall) safely without losing your gear etc
Rogue need a rework. The ambush like build is not healthy for the game, it's either too strong and it's not fun for everyone "fighting" a rogue (most of the tile he just one shot you from out of nowhere) or it is too weak and rogue become useless as Landmine is the only way to play him. have new "bigger" passive skills for all classes that takes 2 or even 4 skill slots. Currently we have 4 slots for passive skills, it would be cool if we could sacrifice some slots to get 2 or 1 powerful passive skill. This would add more diversity in classes builds.

Add more skills to move the target's position for other classes other than fighter or ranger ( shield slam or Forceful shot). Maybe a wizard spell that relocates a target to a given position or a magical throwable knife for rogue or a "leaf tunnel" for druid, and so on.

Well yeah when I say 1 shot it's more like kill you before you can react or hit him more than once. And of course rogue have to hit a barb or fighter 7-10 time, they're not supposed to fight or kill them. The game is a rock paper scissor, Rogue are not supposed to kill every other class easily, Tank are the rogue counter
But if a rogue figthing a wizard, ranger, other rogue, bard or even warlock if he have Cut throat and ambush them well then the fight is free for the rogue most of the time

the map kind of enables the play don't get me wrong. You just camp rooms and murk anyone. No one can chase you either cuz crush + ms cap
Bardiche is extremly slow and a rly bad option is trio since ppl are either rushing u melee so u only hit sweet spot or u get shielded cuz the first pattern is rly bad
Double axe is just bad is ever aspect lmao one of the worst weapon in the game

I would like to see Troll Pelt removed as a component for making gold bags. It's nigh impossible to use the troll pelt gear crafts unless you are stupid rich. Pelts being used for gold bags is choking out the gear crafts
It doesnāt matters when mages and lock have faster ttk in melee than rogues now. You have to ideally sneak on someone. But no one plays wizard solos and locks have hydra to detect/phantomize to reset rogues. And if you make 1 mistake you cooked. It was like this before patch, but at least you have that option to instakill squishes. And now you have no damage by reasons stated above.
As caster warlocks I 2shot rogues cause they have to land at least 3-4 some of hits in head (3).
You never catch good ranger: you die in traps or to a shotgun.
Bis Wizards can kill decent rogues in range (!) by 1 fireball + 1 zap; 2 missed fireballs; 2 zaps.
And 2fireball BIS rogues.
Bis Bard can 3 shot bis rogue with 3 headshot and he wonāt let you hit his head.
I like how you stated ādonāt do any mistake and prey they are bold and not checking/walking in in wrong order and most of the time you will winā

Can hell be reworked to have a boss choice? Running 30 min games to try and quest and get the right boss only for it to be the wrong one like (shit you not) 10 times in a row is very frustrating. Or playing full support class playing in the backline with a good frontline in trios. In general in trios you can depend on your teamates to tell you about sounds.

Well if you speak of the one a month ago then I've seen it and except the Guild and faction system (that is at the end of the suggestions, not the most important part and not the part I mentioned in my last message) they've said the opposite of what this suggestions asked for. Terrence have said that they'll make a stop in adding new content to focus on other stuff, like the Sorcerer, the matchmaking system, the arena etc etc. They've said that the game content as reached the bare minimum they wanted and that they would focus on more secondary thing for a few time.
The point of interest on map, especially the Forge as it could work great with the socketing system coming next season (like the comment on the suggestions said) are imo more important than Arena or new class

we need natures grasp spell, anyone who melee hits you gets rooted
we need leader of the pack perk, in animal form you and your teammates get +% phys damage bonus
we need moonfire spell, cast on a target for initial damage + damage over time
we need hurricane spell, cast on an area for lightning AOE
we need revive, replace that dogwater tree of life with a spell castable on a corpse to bring them back to life
we need heals scaleable so bear kit isnt the only kit worthwhile - let us provide utility during group matches
we need our animal hitboxes fixed
we need JUSTICE!

does anyone think the removal of the pregame lobby is bad? instead of removing it all together they should just make it so you arent able to inspect, and everyone has default gear
I find so annoying hydra - life drain, u basically don't need healing and while u heal ur also protected and can block doors

I don't think this was any kind of smart either tbh. This punishes barbs and bear druids more than anyone else - classes that are slow and need speed because they have no ranged options. This doesn't do anything to high base agi classes, who can skirmish these classes indefinitely with no counterplay.

I agree partially. I think they should leave the inspect ability and the pre game lobby alone. It was part of what made the in game experience what it was. I think they lose a lot by removing this, but they are very likely doing so to test the new matchmaking method. The new method will likely be more flexible where, while you are in the queue, you may be assigned Lobby A originally, but as more people queue up, you may get shifted to Lobby B based on gear score etc..
This in theory could make the matchmaking process quicker and more balanced. It also is disappointing because of the priceless interactions you can run into during that pre-game lobby.

Rank and pvp skill are not at all correlated ^^ it is a meaningless metric. Theyād be better served matching on kills or kda. Skill based matchmaking has ups and downsides, but lots of communities hate it
