maybe bears shouldnt one shot everyone
Give 2 slots to f2p people trying the game shouldn't be punished for trying new classes (I own the game) a lot of my friends want to try other classes bc they don't want to lose stash. If I did play test and could only try one class I would have had a lot less fun and might not have bought the game.
They've made some pretty good concessions for the Demo/F2P version of the game. It sounds like your friends are already enjoying the game and $35 isn't that much. Sounds like a purchase is justified

Its happened before where gatekeeping people who feel entitled because they paid money before free to play came out in a game, new people are required to keep a game alive, no one will play this game forever and the population must be replaced, the game was on track to become niche before f2p came out now everyones watching it again. Providing a good experience to new players is more important than pandering to gatekeepers.

F2P JP streamers who played the game for 2 hours bought it already. F2P is just an advertisement, they dont need to do that much more.
If they add more content in the paid version like arena then sure but if thats f2p as well then of course not, thats a good way of enticing players to buy the game to be competitive since 2 slots are enough as a f2p.
Most people run with a main and a side character, and that shouldnt be accessible to f2p in the first place.

Its funny the second after I replied, I queued up on my cleric in PDR solo gobbo caves straight into a stealth landmine rogue kitted up. I killed him easily because I didn't walk into his landmine and was able to chase him. Its never a question of "if you catch the rogue out of stealth, do xyz" its about the counterplay to stealth and if there even is one. And if there is no counterplay, and i mean you even said idk, then why is something without counterplay that's just completely unfun a part of the game? Also idk how you never run into one in 1k hours unless you never touch solos

- please fix the timer for the end of the round, sometimes it will activate like 10 seconds early and its so annoying, I was about to make it to the stairs before then getting frozen a few seconds early

Not being able to equip attach a lantern to the 𝕃𝔸ℕ𝕋𝔼ℝℕ Shield feels kinda.... dumb. You add a shield to the game, with the purpose of it being able to have a lantern on it, and in the description it even says it has a lantern on it, yet.... THERE IS NO LANTERN ON IT
- Not necessary but it might be cool to be able to smelt gold coins into gold bars and trade them back in for gold coins at the treasurer to further save gold, but then again i think thats too broken

and u can use spells in demon form so if you buff and get 5 shards when u go into demon it wont take the shards until you use a dark spell but it would still give the 5 in all attributes
Please make it possible to bring unique items that don't have stat buffs on health, armor or damage etc, and no weapons or armor of that grade of course but things like mystical gems are functionally useless to F2P players since we cant sell them on market for their real value nor can we take them in game it makes for a very demotivating experience

Please fix cave troll having the biggest aggro issues in the game. As soon as someone steps into the cave troll room 9/10 times it changes aggro casuing the cave troll to scream and killing the initial player doing the boss.
With the removal of the circle we had in the game BR style (change I love, it's really cool how it is right now, but effectively it reduces the funneling of players into the same area to create more PvP situations and chaos) I think it would be great if there was some sort of "event" that happens in the game that lures players into said events, effectively promoting (for those who want) PvP
Some examples:
Room X has chests that can't be opened until Y minutes
Room X has portal to teleport players to a new loot room (from loot room you have blue portal). Said teleport opens after defeatting PvE mobs (Skele champion, Wraith?) or after Y minutes
Effectively what I am looking for is a shared reason with other players who want to go into high risk / high reward situations, effectively leading to PvP. An example would be in Escape from Tarkov key rooms, where people rush those to get the loot inside.
Key rooms in tarkov have an issue, which is spawn distances + camping, which is why above in my ideas I suggest these events happen only after some minutes / after completion of clearing the PvE, to give everyone a chance to arrive regardless of spawn point

No you cant use them in normals and thats my whole point and you cant sell anything on the market place without owning the paid edition you just get this extremely valuable item that sells for crazy on the market place but merchants will give you like 100 gold for it and you cant use at all so you are pretty much getting cucked with your own loot

Green potions are worth a surprising amount. Usually you can run 1 single piece of green armor without going past 24 gear score, but that also depends on what utility you bring
Yeah, I just tested and the timmy lobbies are 24 or lower, not 25 or lower like the Squire says and the patch notes say, I could not find where they changed this or made it explicit that it is now 24 or lower

Make a gear score ranges matchmaking for example: 0 - 24 grey items, 24 - 200 green and blue items ( uncommon and rare ), 200 + no limit (epic, legends items ). It make a balance on gameplay. To be fun
But that'll just make it so killing players wont reward gear you care about. You cant out skill someone for better gear :\

The gear score mode is pretty good, but putting people with a total gear score of 100 together with people with a score of 300 or 500 is almost like gray gear beating purple gear.

clerics can currently only use "blunt" weapons because in dungeons and dragons they use blunt weapons to not induce blood loss (ignore the morning star spikes)

Weapon restrictions were removed in the third edition of dungeons and dragons. Blunt weapons are more of an iconic choice and also because undead in dungeons and dragons take addditional blunt weapon damage

Clerics get acceas to more spells than Paladins do. Paladins defining feature is modifying their attacks with smite, auras and lay on hands as a melee heal

You know what this game needs? More "im invulnerable to melee classes as soon as they actually get within attack range of a class who already gets every other advantage in the game."
I think a really cool feature for when your actually in the dungeon exploring would be to have a little journal "J" where it whips out like the spellbook and has your quests on it. Have the ones that are done scribbled or x'd out or checked where the ones not complete obviously don't.
flat "additional movement speed" and percentile "move speed bonus" are essentially the same thing since move speed bonus calculates off of the base 300 MS, meaning 1% move speed bonus is always the same as 3 additional movement speed so either make all of it flat or apply percentages after all the flat values
Can we remove friendly fire when it comes to treants and teammates? I don't necessarily care if the treant can damage the caster but its a bit annoying when it kills a teammate because I can't control its movements
Shield Slam is so bad. It's hit box isn't consistent. It feels like no one is testing this skill as it's ''bad''. It's not responsive to input. Mobs will clip through the shield and not connect with them. It's so useless why is it in the game? Maybe remove it until it's buffed? Even in pvp it wiffs through opponents. You can see their model through the shield after a hit but it doesn't connect.
This new end game mechanic is actually killing it. I don't feel SO rushed but have to keep my wits about time. Its such a great new balance to the game.

Rework warlock. Being a barb and fighting no skill kids that just spamm dot and phantomise away as soon they get in trouble is just lame. There should be a counter and not just say fuck its warlock better just crush my way out and find someone else.
I think it would make a lot of sense to add cone spells to wizard, right now the damage options feel very lacking. Thunderwave with knockback, aoe channel spells, maybe even options to make teamates immune to AoE evocation spells with a perk (like d&d) - the class feels very uninspired in its current state. No movement options beyond haste or invis, feels strange to play wizard in this game as it currently is. Even magic missles could be completely reworked to channel like clerics Judgement and do much less damage - it seems like its in a constant state of balancing due to being a departure from what its inspired by. I suggest Ironmace rework the AP gain system by lowering all current gains significantly and adding special big AP rewarding items called idols. Idols should spawn at a fixed location making people contest for them. Along side this, raid timer should be increased and extracts, when available, should be activated, alerting nearby players of extraction.
Haven't you realized? The devs don't care that phantomize gimps physical-only classes, barbarian most of all since they lack any sort of counter or ranged power aside from endlessly-nerfed frannies. They only care about what cool shit they can give warlock, the no-resource infinite self-healing can-fight-at-all-ranges class, so that even more people play it.

I experienced a bug where right clicking or shift-right clicking while looting a chest drops the item at my feet instead of moving it to my empty inventory. left clicking and dragging still worked though.

And crypt is the worst map in my opinion. Super dark everywhere, narrow hallways, just overall not a fan of crypt.

100% agree they are exploiting it.
The ragdoll physics are not replicating to clients, making for frustrating conversations telling people where bodies are... there are several simple ways to replicate bone position and actor location in unreal. Even plugins that can be added at the base character level that can be set to replicate the required variables only on skeletal mesh simulation, it can be set for instance to only rep if moving, so the last updated position is always the same on all clients, absolutely essential for a game like this.
I really feel like the targetted class quests should be removed or given an alternative objective. It's the only thing the player has no control over. We can't decide what other players are joining the lobby as, and if you need a specific kill on a specific class but that class never matchmakes with you, you end up getting blocked on completing a quest.
All the other quests allow the player to complete it on their own merits, but quests that require you to kill a specific class are just lame and remove player agency.

i still have yet to kill a bard. i could have easily but he was chill with me pregame lobby and then i felt bad killing him. so i healed him to full, dropped a potion and left him. still looking for another lol
funny enough, I got lucky killing my bard after not finding one forever, then I get 2-3 more bard kills randomly. It's absurd. The issue is that it removes player agency, and the quest is blocking other EXTREMELY easy quests that would already got me my improved squire.

it would be nice if there a way to do a limited PvE map, that you cannot get loot, AP, or die in. i play solo/duo/trios (depends on if my friends were connected) vs trios in all maps since first playtests even when map rotation wasnt a thing and it was the best way of playing the game
But now players are scared of joining lobbies where teams have more players than them because there is an escape (solo and duo matchmaking) and because in the past when the circle was small there were no counterplays other than facing a full party in a fight.

Now you have a lot of options, you can:
-Running away from a team is more consistent.
-Go to an exit since they are not random anymore is more consistent.
-Prepare an ambush in a bottle neck without the circle forcing you to go for them.
-Use VoiP to talk with them and calm the situation or cooperate since now people is more open to this kind of things.
-Of course you can still try to fight them 1/2/3 vs 3.
Back in the previous patches your best option were:
-Having the luck to find a random portal.
-Having the luck that they were running from circle and you have a better position.
-Having the luck that they were worst players or you have much better gear.
And for those who were learning i think the 25 gear score layer also solves it without losing the best way to play the game
Also in a Dark and Darker where devs encourage players to coop like in the frost mountain this numeric disadvantage disappears.

Warlock gameplay is so lame to.play against

Another one that bothered me is the quest for rare weapons. There's so few in norms, that it feels like it wants me to do high roller. At least when I started a couple weeks ago, I didn't have the money or gear to give high roller a fair shake, and I don't even think I was level 20 for it.
Having it be green weapons would make it a lot more reasonable to accomplish and give momentum to push to harder questing
I get the design considerations to make a lot of friction so it feels better to accomplish it, but the rare weapon drops are just rng and the gold ore thing is just a knowledge check newbies can't accomplish. There's not a challenge being imposed on the player or incentives being given.
I do like the kill quests, the progression from pve quests to PVP quests were super cool and nice progression to go from surviving mobs well to tackling the greatest game (players)
The current PVP meta is so full of cowardice and it's p.lame. Meta is run away after doing a tap, then doing it again. There's no throwdown fights. Even for melee. It's tap and run. Thus making MS the king of all stats for all classes. It makes for very boring and unengaging gameplay when it comes to pvp. MS is too much of a king stat. Everything revolves around it. Would be nice to see people care about other stats.

Match making should be based off of the total value of the gear brought by the party. Instead of the current 0-24 item levels. Get the total value of the gear brought. Balance match making and item values.

What about dropping the HP depletion rate from 3% to 2 for blood pact. It's just so high you get 6 good seconds before having to turn it off again. That's including weapon swap. It definitely needed balancing but it's unusable now.
Add some passive spell count recovery. Drop magic resistance on monsters by 15% and nerf Hellfire to 50 dmg/sec. Make spellcasting in PVE a thing for spellcasters.
Reduce the magic resistance of monster is the good way imo. But the passive spell count recovery would be to strong imo and would benefit too much in PvP (That's what the Clarity potion was doing in the past and it was too strong)
It would be much slower than clarity, something like 20% of sitting down perhaps. Just so you can cast a bit every now and then without sitting. You're playing a spellcaster after all currently you are forced to melee everything

Well the game was meant to be trio only (And it was at the beginning, then they added Solo, then later Duo). And it would be really difficult to balance thing for each party size / would take way too much dev time
I dont think it should be a perk, I think it should be baseline for every spell count caster. You would get a zap back in like 60 seconds or so, MM in like 90 seconds the impact would be quite limited in individual engagements.
Ok but if it's that slow it's almost useless. You need almost all your zap to kill a random mob. On zap every minute is not worth better just sit for a few second. I don't know what would be a good in between. I think a perk is a good idea, maybe simply something that fasten the spell recharge when you sit (Like 5% every 2 sec in addition to your spell recovery)
I dont think thats too slow, along with the MR change over a map duration it gives you like 8-10 casts of all your spells and they do more. Thats about 1.5-2 campfires worth

in anime when you have adventurers going into dungeons usually in the anime they have camps set up deeper in the dungeons to resupply so wouldn't it make sense when going to hell or in the ice abyss to have a camp to resupply pots or change skills and perks to pve ones to better help kill bosses in between the shift of going down in the waiting room because unless your strictly hiding to pve or meming running around with pve stuff nobody equips them it would make a more comfortable way of life and it would make sense that perk that reduces damage from mobs i mean who uses it so my point has some weight behind it i think its a good change
druid has so many escape tactics i think all classes should get something that allows them to disengage from the fight push a person off of you could make it a unique thing for every class a rogue could do a shadow step back they turn into a shadow a mist form and it automatically takes them a step back and it has a cooldown so they cant just keep doing it and wizard gets a teleport animation that takes them a step back and this could be an automatic thing or maybe a button you push on the keyboard and cooldown after

I think ranger suffer too much of sneaky engage on solo. I think back step should give a burst of attack speed or a "next attack gain attack speed" buff to truely synergise with crippling shot and thus giving ranger a bit more surviability and making back step more than a meme.

Troll and Cyclops should not lose aggro from person fighting him because someone opens a door, or enters room(Aggro in general needs some work) how bout allowing them to not reset(hp) even if the player is killed or leaves room. if im on the other side of a wall or door ai should not be able to hit me. Druid and Warlock are far advanced classes(Design, dmg, skill expression) than the others. buff the rest of the classes so they can better contend aswell as improving design ect, Wizard id like to see get a flash/blink/leap spell movement/teleport , GustWind knockback, Aoe Pool of Acid(like centipedes} magic lock should be made to also unlock doors/chests, A summon Imp/familiar/Invisible swordsman/golem spell, Meteor( ie designed with Ligntning strike cast But drops a fireball) Ranger buff Backstep to maybe be able to pull out weapon for a quick stab too only paired with spear ie, perk or skill that does a poison DoT/exploding shot for perk maybe like the first or last arrow shot after a reload ect, Fighter A dodge roll, Kick to interupt/silence Buff Victory strike maybe add a Bleed effect too it, remove on kill and make on hit for health bonus and reduce to 10% or flat amount. Rogue add better stacking for Posion , skill that does a quick double stab, allow for Survival bow, Bards is strong af and prob needs some buffs nerfed, Barb and cleric are pretty good atm all other classes need cooler deisigns skills ect just some ideas id like to see
Also i had a cool and BOLD idea for Game and Ruins: Expand it to be BIGGER! AND MAIN AREA OF Game, EVERY GAME STARTS THROUGH RUINS , starter area for noobs, could incorporate the arenas into to this map too maybe and let that be the only pvp zone, or just a set area of map players can enter at own risk (also high tier loot area) everywhere else normal mobs areas, this could give ruins the social aspect where players could find teammates throughout map to play and continue down to the other maps that could have Entrances designed for each one gob,ice,crypts, where players can then choose where to continue to either solo duo or trio, This could allow for a full complete 3lvl adventuring experience i believe, ruins >Gob, Ice, crypts>Abyss, hell, Id love to see a 2nd dungeon level to GC. Could be a All in one Hub area...when NPCs are a thing ingame could make the lobby merchants into NPCS housed there to interact with too stash, Marketplace ect, get away from drop menus and add more depth. Be a big transition but think the vibes could be awesome! idk playin and thinking! Expand or Critique!
You should be able to use an enemy player's heart soul at a sacrifice altar to full heal, so you can still get quest credits as a solo.
Crystal Sword:
Instead of making it a spell casting tool, have it store a spell, so every 15-20 seconds when you do the first swing in the combo, the stab casts the stored spell. It's right click just stores the spell you want
The applications are really cool, a wizard could store a frost bolt, ignite, or even explode into the sword, a warlock could give it CoP, CoW, even shield or spell predation. Self castable spells always default to self cast, obviously, dont wanna give the barbarian ignite by accident lmao
I genuinely think this would make the sword a useful alternative and give it some real flavor and spice to the "spell sword" concept it's trying to be.
Balance Idea:
Remove Torture Mastery, Replace it with a new spell (Best option IMO as it will have the draw back of eating a spell slot instead of being a forced Perk) or perk that rewards health ON KILL.
As a Warlock player since Warlock's Release, it has been a waste of development resources. It is clearly toxic for the game and class. Here's why:

It is bad class fantasy. You're a Warlock, you make Sacrifices. You should heal AFTER the sacrifice NOT before.

It promotes not interacting with the game. The playstyle that is both hated and the reason it needs all this "balancing" is because Warlocks just run around full MS healing to full while having the safety net of Phantomize and Flame Walk. If they want to do that, the battle of attrition should exist like it does for every other class. Rangers can run out of arrows, Wizards can run out of spell slots. A Warlock CANNOT because of torture mastery.

It exists solely to remove the one gimmick warlocks have. Their spells cost health. It is the equivalent to a Wizard getting all their spell slots back off a single zap. Only it's worse, because Health is an important resource. Warlocks do not deserve to have a very low risk mid combat heal at range, that also does considerable damage. With ONLY white Mystic Gloves and a White Occultist Hood a Warlock can heal 17 hp. 1 hp under missing THREE CoP's. Combine this with PoS and the warlock should realistically never die if playing at a mediocre level to anything except a Ranger (Because a Wizard's spells are much easier to read and dodge than an arrow is, especially at a longer distance.)
Please Remove the Perk. Stop wasting Development time on a fundamentally badly designed perk. Please, just stop.
I don't think warlock is an issue. There's way more busted class like Rogue, they can litteraly kill anyone without any type of retaliation possible. They can't have invis and High Damage. it's dumb, and unfun for everyone but them.
Rogue balancing idea:
- Remove Invisibility,
- All perks related to invisibility should now work in Darkened Area (Light from handheld torches not counting).
- Give them a Skill that shuts any Wall Torch light around at once.
Now they have to actually have skills to win, Think two step ahead and even play mind games instead of having an easy win.

Fix Matchmaking => Based on Equipped Itemlevel. Stop wannabe-toxic-pro purple equipped players farm the normal white / green equipped players.

But placing all these wannabe-pros with full purple gear who just run through the map and farm ppl together with low gear is just toxic and a full useless gamestyle. These ppl. need to be watched. After fairer matchmaking everything ist fine. Just buying full puple gear and farming low gear ppl. is no gameplay - it´s just "i have no rl, i need some proof that i am worth sth." gameplay. And there should be a new matchmaking system with specifig gear limits.
For example:
Tier 0: Up to 25 Itemlevel
Tier 1: 25 up to 60 Itemlevel
Tier 2: 60 up to 100 Itemlevel
Tier 3: 100 up to 140 Itemlevel

so you want to split the queues even more? right now, the playerbase is split between 12 queues PER region. you want to add another 9? split the playerbase 21 different ways PER REGION? might as well close the game down right now then lol

You need to split the queues. You need to set a fair matchmaking. Almost every game these days has some kind of matchmaking. Just stating "don´t go for more queues" is just nothing. Fact is there needs to be a better way of matchmaking - skillbased or gearbased or something else. There is no way going on without it because it will frustrate (especially new players) and loose quite a few ppl.
A fair matchmaking is a essential part of a growing game.
Splitting the queues does not hurt anyone. It will bring balance to the game and it will help ppl. to learn and get better in PVP and Fights slowly. It will be supportive instead of the current destructive matchmaking.

Yep Arena may fix it and get rid of the toxic ones we got in almost every pvp game. But arena still won´t fix the matchmaking. Thats where the Gearbased-Multi-Step-Matchmaking comes in place. It will be almost the best way for everyone.
If you hate PVP, if you love PVP - even gear - fair pvp - everything fine. I don´t care if i am blue geared and die to blue geared. But i care if i am white / green geared and die to the toxic full purple farmers. And THIS is the big problem of the current system. Nothing else.
You guys are both right. Imo we need Gear based matchmaking but we can't over do it because it split the player base. The best in between for me would be to remove the gearscore matchmaking in normal and make in common gear max again. And put 3 level of gearscore in HR only. Grey to Green/Blue (with one or 2 blue piece) -> Green/Blue to Blue/Purple (With 1 or 2 purple piece) -> And everything above that @grand agate @elfin vale . Imo High roller is empty right now for 2 reason. Some player are too afraid or bored to go in HR and get stomp by experienced player so they stay in Normal +25. And free player have access to too much thing and that result in them staying in normal and not buying the game.
And I don't think Arena would solve the "Experienced player stomping all the new or no PvP player" maybe for a week or two but in the end people don't stick to Team deathmatch game mode, they always come back in the normal mode and keep playing only PvP there. (That happen in every Call of Duty, Battlefield, Apex Legend etc)

That's true but i'm really not sure about that. In most of the game I know who added a PvP mode people end up coming back on the main mode to do PvP. I guess it's more thrilling and some people who want PvP but are not really good player get bored of being stomp on the PvP mode and go back in normal to chase people who don't want/know how to PvP

what you proposed honestly doesnt even make sense, the difference between 25 gs and 60gs is 1 blue weapon and a green piece of gear lol, everything else white/gray. On top of it, your 'legendary' tier is not even a full blue set worth of gear
when i was playing yesterday there was a few games i queued into where my team was full white/green kits and we died 2 games in a row to optimized stat purple sets. sucks for sure, but the 3rd game we killed one of those teams and now we are juiced as fuck.

I think is easier and a better idea make a system to punish bullys, gear disparity is part of what makes game fun and varied. Also, looking for DnD to be a balanced game is what have removed the most unique parts of the game in the past.

Btw i will tell you one thing about arena. There are classes that will be imposible to play in arena by design as it should be. I like the arena idea but players will complain about balance and devs will continue trying to make classes multi function by removing its concept and uniqueness.

If a class is stronger in arena it is what it is. In what world will a guy with a flute kill a rogue? wtf. Arena should be a mode for those classes that can play it. If you want to play 1 v 1 arenas with a healer and you end up with a 10% win rate that is your problem not of balance.
I mean there is stronger (Barbarian) and there is unfair. Rogue is definitely in the Unfair category. I've played rogue, tested my theory, and I can tell you that it's disgusting how powerfull rogue are at the moment:
- Ambush + PDR pen + Dagger Mastery + Stealth; Hide + Weakpoint Attack.
- Hide once you hear steps that are close
- Wait for them to have their back turned.
- Stab a bunch of time
- Get their loot.
You can rince and repeat as much as you want. Unless you fuck up badly you'll win every single time.

in regards to gear match making, I think the only change should be that normals should have a cap, IE it should be like <24, 25-150, High Roller (uncapped)

Agreed, the problem is the player base is far too low right now. The point isn’t to have fun, but to develop a game and find bugs etc that’s the point of having early access players. Sure, sometimes it’s fun but mostly it’s testing. Gearbase matchmaking is in testing right now and will work in the future but will need at least double the amount of players right now to work. It’s almost impossible to implement a fair system when there is such a small fan base.
I'm thinking of that just now but imo a good warlock nerf would be that they can't use Spellbook anymore and maybe a small Crystal ball nerf on the damage
With a different matchmaking system (by that I mean how lobby are created and people put in them) we could use GBMM with the playerbase we have now. Can't make too many bracket but 3 only in High Roller would be ok imo

And imo there his other way to nerf him while keeping the life steal effect or in other way. Like that #game-discussion message . One of the other powerful aspect is that he's fast to nerf that you could ban him from using spellbook. 3 days to dungeonborne playtest to start. This will definitely affect playerbase since it is visually better and less clunky but at least in the past playtest they didnt came up with something that ironmace didnt already implemented. What i want to say is that our stronger point i think is that our devs were always willing to try, design and implement new innovative systems to upgrade the enviroment and immerion of a dungeon crawler pvevp extraction game. Some examples are the brave moves of removing BR circle for a more immersive event to each map, creating cool exits or encouraging inside dungeon cooperation to kill a wyvern. I hope Ironmace knows that what makes them better is their stronger philosophy to approach the game experience and enviroment to a dungeons and dragons fantasy. Finally saying that i always thought that the stronger part of a Roll Multiplayer game is it's social aspect and thx to things like proximity chat i can say we have the best community. ❤️
we need gear score lobbies back especially with the new players. its great we have a sub 25 lobby but we should have more brackets like <299 and <400 then unlimited or something. its so sad to see these new players just get mopped but gs 500+ losers in norms

theres a lot of wiggle on the actual brackets but something were greens are viable again (lower gs lobbies) and new players arent getting absolutely gear diffed when it has nothing to do with skill. just who has more money more often

I like this game and I like a lot of the stuff about it and the devs usually make decent cool choices, that said, if the devs still think torture mastery is good for the class or the game, the devs are sadly, very stupid, and might as well just remove the health cost to spells all together since that would mean they clearly don't care about the "health cost" gimmick in the first place as that's all torture mastery exists for, to essentially remove the health cost gimmick. Literally since Warlocks release they've tuned that perk over and over again, at this point it's just a sunk cost fallacy to keep doing it.
It was a failed experiment to get the class off the ground. Even at 3x cost with Vampirism and 4 magical healing they can heal 17 health back off one CoP. Almost Three times the 6 hp cost of CoP with the perk, while having essentially 0 risk to the warlock doing it. While getting the Mheal bonus on a health potion ON TOP OF IT ALL.
They could spend the resources they spend on balancing Torture Mastery on actually fleshing out warlock spells, giving them actually interesting perks and skills, and properly balancing the class as a whole

I haven't really used this before, so I don't know if anyone has recommended these, but maybe a hunting knife item for ranger? reverse grip, longer curved blade, maybe offhand weapon, kind of like the stilleto but more of a mini falchion aesthetic? A scimitar/saber/shamshir style weapon for fighter and ranger, perhaps others? Some headgear variety for Slayer Fighter would be pretty cool, either a new armor variant with a chainmail coif, or a leather hood or something. Like a ranger or forest hood but the name could just be Slayers Cowl or something? Also adding a lantern to the squire would be a nice quality of life update. A swordbreaker weapon would be cool too. Like an offhand weapon you can parry with, similar to the lantern shield.
More craftable options would be nice too, cobalt silver and gold arming swords and longbows, halberds, etc..
Yee different metal combinations would be nice
I'll just drop this here as well. Remove grand brigandine as a barbarians armor option, reduce the speed penalty on northern full tunic to fill that slot instead, and reduce studded leather to movement penalty 8. Then adjust armor values accordingly. Barbarians should feel just as happy wearing their unique stuff as warlocks, wizards, etc. do wearing their own stuff.

I know this has been suggested plenty but I just wanted to reiterate I wish there were more gear score brackets for normal lobbies. With so many new players it'd be nice to be able to practice with some amount of gear even just a couple greens rather than feel like I have to rock less than 25 to get some decent practice in.
Fix the mob aggro on frost mountain, it doesn't make sense for the game to aggro mobs that are 5m away through the floor when they really have to walk 5x that distance to properly path to you (if they even can). It just messes with the mob distribution in modules when you have to be aware that a pile of bones might see you through the floor or through a door with kobolds
Cutthroat effect needs to be WAY more clear for the person who is silenced. As a wizard, every time im cutthroated it feels like im canceling the spell over and over again, not that im silenced. My screen doesnt look different, the game doesnt make it clear im silenced whatsoever.

personally i hated the circle system from the start (playtest 2), if you just started to play you probably havent had back to back raids where you get no time to loot because you got a bad spawn outside the circle, which could often push you straight to teams who had gotten good spawns and didnt have to take as many risks with pve to stay alive
also lmao 1k is not a lot thats not even a full good kit, there are single items that go for much more than that
and also game become more pve focused i guess boss raids etc. i think its suppose to be more pvp focused

are you trying to push towards points of interest like bigger chests and satic extracts? or are you just playing as usual and wondering why youre not seeing as many people lol. you dont have to loot the room your in, you have a choice to find pvp and if norms are the only thing youre doing of course there are more people who choose to loot and avoid pvp. it sounds more like you want people to come to you without much choice for themselves while playing the game the same way you have been thus far
cuz if you loot every chest in every module and expect to find a ton of people while other people are doing the same of course youre not gonna have many encounters
but in old system you can loot while moving and %100 chance to find people on your way
thats because the circle removed the choice for people to either loot or pvp if they got a bad spawn, if you dont have much and you get a bad spawn youre forced essentially to get in a pvp encounter. people didnt like that because it was very battle royale esque and not as much like a looter extraction game unless you gota good circle spawn. and again, there are still points of interest where there will be more player traffic, its up to you though whether you want to forgoe the looting to get to those points and get more pvp
also i get the sense that you eidther didnt play while the circle was in the game or you started playing shortly before the circle was removed, its lame to kill people who never got the chance to loot cuz they had to keep running from the swarm while you just got the good rng spawn and could wait for them to come to you
nothing is stopping you from murder hoboing, killing only essential mobs, and moving through modules as fast as possible to catch the people who do spend more time in their modules looting
Idea to Replace the Invisibility Skill from the Rogue:
I present the "Dash".
Dash would be in game more akin to an instant teleport of 5m ( 16 ft) base in the direction of movement that can collide with walls and doors, with 3 Charges and no CoolDown.
A few perks could come with it:
- Damage and/or MS after the Dash
- Reload** 1 charge** per kill (doesn't matter if monster or PVP)
- Distance augmentation of the skill Dash to 7.5m (24 ft)
The objective of the Dash is to make the Rogue be a High Octane class, with movement and positionning advantage on demand. Being able to go in and out of the fight quickly. It would also make the class more entertaining to play and more fair to fight against for other people.
Man, a "search for similiar" button for the marketplace would be a FINE qol of life upgrade... I know its a small thing but being able to click one button to check prices before you post an item would be actually so sweet

Also let woodsman sell a stack of 2 throwing knives. It costs 18 gold for only 1, and you can only buy 2 each rotation of store stock
Remove movespeed as a stat and give classes evasive/slowdown skills/spells to compensate. This will allow for glassy characters to function without instantly dying in pvp, and also remove fights that automatically resolve through silly Benny Hill sketch kiting.
Add a Cartographer vendor; provides an actual map ingame that can be looked at to orient your self with room names. At higher tier mark a random chest in map that give better loot than usual, like a dungeon map in Albion.Online if you will

Stash Renting System
Make all stashes rentable so you have to pay a fee based on the rarity, amount of your items and amount of money in it. You start without stash but it is cheap enough that once you make a first good extraction you have money to pay it for a reasonable amount of games. Yes i said games, to avoid people losing his stash and dont let them get frustrated after not playing for some days, i recomend having to pay each time you come back from the dungeon or pay for multiple games at once so you dont need to be always aware of paying the fee (with a limit of games rented so players dont find some exploit).
Ok now the most important part, make the fee scale exponentially with the rarity, amount of your items and amount of money so best players will have to risk their best items because the fee is hard to pay (not imposible just demanding).
If you dont pay the fee your stash will be first confiscated with a limit of time to buy it back and second given to a pawn house. The items pawned have the name of the original owner for more fun. Also items are randomly pawned between days so you cant track them.
I know this idea will sound bad for some players cause it will cause an increment in unfair fight in the dungeon because of tryhard pvp players and bullys but the benefits of not letting best players to just stacks lots and lots of gold are obvious. And these problems can be solved by other methods like a good arena integration and a thing that i already suggested in the past, a system to punish bullys.

Yep, he probably ended some quest. They unlock more stuff to start with at the squire, more stuff to buy from the merchant, reduce price of the Merchant, unlock craft
let skins effect animal form for druid give ice zombie animal forms for frost walker skeleton ones depending on the color of skele you got more sleek elf ones more feral lycan ones would be cool change i think alot of people would enjoy
That's a really good idea but also a lot of work for only one class.
You should be able to make white quality potions out of just flowers and upgrade them with the flowers, I wanna do the alchemist stuff but I'm not about to keep track of potions, I wanna live off the land not do this weird poor mans "well I found 3 white healths I guess Ill SAVE THOSE to make a few greens or something instead of just spending the 5 gold at the Trade window, whack way to do the plants IMO

Why were the additional layouts for Crypts and Inferno removed?
If anything, you should be adding more layouts. It adds a hell of a lot of dynamic to the game, that was my suggestion for when ruins was a problem.
Goblin caves is now the PVP hub specifically because of how easy that layout is to traverse and how well people know it now. Adding more layouts to all of the maps will help them significantly
Make it so warlocks get stacks of casting speed de-buff (stacking up to 8 times) for every curse they apply, giving more room for outplay by melee classes/shield users and other casters.

if cheeping a poor from squire is not intended than I suggest being able to make weapons using Iron of each type from the weapon smith same with all armors with questing bonuses
this gives more uses for iron and makes item creation more convenient

If I remember correctly, there was an option to make Common Potions of Protection, but it was basically impossible cause Common Herbs refused to spawn in the dungeons. They did a sneak patch like a week after patch to "upgrade" all the craftable potions to Green or higher
Is it just me or is this movement speed meta contrary to their Season 4 goal of "Renewed focus on dungeon crawling"?
- Every class can get crazy move speed
- Slower classes can bhop to cancel move speed penalties of swapping weps and casting
- Insta unequip of gear to move faster
All this makes inherently faster classes feel useless when slower and stronger classes like barb, cleric, etc. can move just as fast
The entire "gear score" concept is dumb. A damage roll green is worth 3x a dead roll purple. It just adds a contrived system that confuses casuals.
the transformations from rat-> panther are just extremely good, hard to punish, and mastery of it exceeds mastery of basically any other class in an unhealthy way, you look at good trios nowadays and its always druids, a support class, making the winning plays. IMO, clerics druids and bards need to be more support based, but in solos, with an optimized build those 3 are nearly if not the strongest right now.

IMO rn classes all need at least 1 thing to get slightly nerfed to fit more of a class based identity. barbs/clerics have too much MS right now, warlock base health should go down to punish letting enemies get close, rogue invis walking needs a revert, game was significantly more enjoyable when it wasnt a thing. fighters can overall stay as they are based on them not having any prevalent features right now. bard should take a hit on either damage/health, its basically a better rogue/fighter right now. druids need a panther/bear damage nerf. wizard is strong but easily punished so they dont deserve any hits. basically, if they just hitch down some of these stats on characters right now the game would be less frustrating

Not a fan of the addition of the new gear bracket, especially on the sly. The majority of players in normals being ungeared due to a healthy playerbase was preferable to having a gear bracket where everyone was insufferable and sweaty imo.

Yeah a teleport spell on wizard could be really good. I've only started getting into bossing, but I'm surprised more people don't say they dislike Troll. I really like the cyclops, it feels fair, even with the DPS-check rock fall section. Troll doesn't feel fair, his charge is just a 50% death coin flip and there's no good reason imo why it should have a random chance of being two completely different unpredictable moves. They should either look different or one should be removed.
yes the charge is random but you can avoid it #q-and-a message. When you've learned the troll he's actually easier than the cyclops

Him being easier once you've done it dozens of times is not good boss design in general. He should simply not insta-kill you with a poorly telegraphed attack no matter how you put it.
You know what he feels like? Elden Ring and the waterfowl dance. I love Sekiro, and I love the final boss fight in that game, it's a perfectly fair complete encapsulation of all the mechanics. Malenia is not that. The waterfowl dance actively requires a certain level of cheesy meta-knowledge to avoid; or a busted build that staggers her constantly or something. These two things are not the same thing even if they're probably similarly difficult.
It simply isn't fun. I'm not contending difficulty here.

I was fighting a barbarian with my warlock, I had my life bar at its maximum, I only received one hit from the barbarian, and when I transformed into a demon I died almost instantly from the passive...3% damage to being a demon is too much, I suggest wue be changed to 1 or 1.5 at most, otherwise the demon perk is not viable, and is the warlock's biggest draw.
I also agree that 3% is too much, the other nerf was enough imo. But Warlock is so broken right now beside the demon form that people would cry about a warlock buff (and that's understandable)

@keen onyx as of right now you cant click on a name to block them. In trade/Gathering hall bots spam messages. They spam then leave real fast making it hard to click on their Character rectangle on the right to block them.
I've been reading and personally I don't agree, I think it's being misfocused, and focusing on cures as if they were bandages is stupid. I've been playing with witches all my life in wow, diablo, etc. and the premise is always the same, losing health in exchange for power, I don't need to kill for it. I see a different approach and I will try to explain myself, although it is very simple, witches who want to focus on spells and magical healing should not be able to use the demonic form, and those who want to use the demon form, should not be able to use the torture mastery, it's that simple, if you want to use the demon, you get a build more of a melee warrior but with magic damage, and if you want to go completely to magic damage, healing, etc., then you should have the torture mastery perk disabled, and even if it were crying. Personally, I would also eliminate the possibility of using weapons in demon mode, it should be as before, with a pure blow, but with damage scaling depending on the weapon you have, and the same with the attack speed, but without the possibility of blocking attacks
Another thing that occurs to me so that people don't cry is that when you transform into a demon, in addition to receiving 1% damage, you are also weaker to divine damage, that is, the cleric's spells do 10% or 15% more damage, so you would have a defined counter, and there would be less crying, but personally I am tired of so much crying, I never complained about any class, not even when the fighter farmed the rest of the classes.
I understand but it's already kinda like this. Yes you can do a half curse / half demon build, but most of the time people go all in on a build. And imo half/half build are not the problem, the problem are full magical damage/healing. Curse build are too strong, way too strong. You can be fast, full heal in a matter of second, even if you get caught you have phantomize or flame walker. It need to be either nerfed or rework. And I think a rework would be better than a nerf. Make the heal only on kill or only for recoverable health could solve the issues. I don't say it's the solution but it would be nice to try if it work or not.
Right now the issues is really not the Demon build. Imo they're well balanced but the 3% life every second make it unplayable. Put back the 1 or 1.5% every second and the demon build could be really fun
One small nerf that can be tried before a rework like I want could be to remove the Spellbook to the Warlock. One of the main issues about warlock is that they're too fast and can kite too much. Imo restrict them from using Spellbook and nerf very sligthly the Crystal ball, like -1 magic damage to each tier

I think softer nerf but solving the same issues of infinite resets if fight goes badly for warlock would be making phantomise a single use only until campfire. Wouldn't impact warlock gameplay too much, but it would allow to have decisive fight against them
Well the warlock you faced might not be really good then. Except if you play a full move speed Barbarian, a good Warlock won't let you get near of him. Same against a Cleric. I know this game is supposed to be a Rock,Paper,Scissor but right now the Warlock is a fucking gun

This way if you wanted to play some kinda everyman you could be a wizard in plate, with a bardiche, only going for tier 1 Fighter and Barbarian Perks, or a more specialized Multiclass going entirely down one tree
You could be a Real Paladin Cleric, With all the Nice Weaponry Fighters have, as well as some shield mastery or sprinting

druids should have to spec into either the caster side or animal side. they should not be allowed to have the best of both worlds. simple as
for every character lvl 20+ you should have an accountwide xp boost of 20% up to lvl 20 on characters below that level
personally i dont feel like the 1->15/20 "grind" is very much, but i do see some merit in the idea of having some kind of "assisted catch-up" mechanic for starting a new character.
i like running builds and high roller, normals are just very boring to some people, and lvl 1-9 are just really boring in terms of perks

There is an issue with the new mid tier lobby where people are bringing all copper light to stay within the gear score as the gear score is a fraction of what it should be for such items. This seems to be common with rogues in solo lobbies as they can have 124 gear score and no one can compete.
Yep that was one of my concern about gearscore this season. Crafted item should have a higher gear score as they have 2 random attribute. They should cost less a bit less than a blue item

well then why not make all the escape points located in a central location.... that way there's no zone closing in, but escaping is higher risk of PVP

Buff idea:
Make lantern shield do 5 more damage, and increase it's impack resistance to 6, it's harder to pull off the parry if your guard isnt broken, and it should be a high risk high reward maneuver. Currently it's impact resist is so low it's easy to pull it off, it doesn't do as much damage as a normal sword swing, and it will make you trade because most weapons hit through it or are fast enough to hit again even if it doesnt break
It a small shield so it's logical that the impact resistance is low. Right now it's 3 it could be 4 but it's shouldn't be more imo. There's 2 thing who could be buff tho. 1st the move speed penalty, I think -16 or -17 would be enough. 2nd the move speed reduction when you block, this is the most stupid change. When you're blocking with the lantern shield your move speed is divided by 2 (actually it's multiplied by 0.5), that's worst than the Pavise who's x0.6. it should be i'n between the Round shield (x0.75) and the buckler (x0.90) so you are faster while blocking. Also it would combo better with the figther shield perk that way
Buckler has 6, and it's a small shield. The idea is that youre parrying and the Lantern Shield has a spike on the center, not too dissimilar of an idea imo
Yes and that's an aberration. The buckler shouldn't have 6 impact resistance and we don't know why he have so much (The round shield is 4 and the heater 5. The buckler should max be 4 even 3)
(It's because the idea is that you're parrying not blocking, bucklers don't block in real life they are specifically designed to deflect a sword hit away and counterattack, that is why they have a rounded boss where the hand goes, it's not an abberation its literally the reason the shield exists at all, plus for how small it is it's low key a reward for being a skilled blocker)
Maybe but with how the game work right now you get less staggered when blocking a Cave Troll hit with a buckler than a Heater shield. Or even just a war maul hit. The Impact resistance have real implication in the game it's not just here for the timing of riposte. I trust what you say about deflecting sword and not block hit and an impact power of 4 is enough for that, but what about the big 2 handed weapon ? Right now the buckler dont get stagger much by a bardiche, war maul, or any weapon actually
It just don't make sense that the buckler have 6 impact resistance. Same than the Lantern shield should not divide your move speed by 2 when blocking (that's worst than the Pavise xd)
So that and the 3 impact resist I think is because its a shield with a riposte, and they thought it would be too OP so they overcorrected

While I don't think invis should just be ripped out or reworked I do feel like there should be a direct counter in the form of a utility that everyone can use. I came up with the concept of sensory pots. it allows you to be notified if anyone is around you and it stays the same volume whether you are getting close to someone or farther. hey i play alot and have a total playtime of 830 hours im completely happy with the development of the game even tho alot of players critize alot for no reason but the blue crystall ball quest is so random its mildly annoying. i found 2 so far and play more than one character with all quests. i cant even come come to finishing this quest on 2 characters and i cant even grind for it as it is random. maybe consider changing it to any rarity?

Suggestion 1, when potion bottles are used, goes into inv as empty glass bottle, can be refilled at respective shrines: shrine of health fills into healing pots, protection shrine into protection pots etc. Empty bottles dropped will smash and make a loud noise. Hopefully this would give shrines a more prominent area of the map

When meditating, when it runs out, it keeps you sat down as normal. Furthermore, when you are sat down as normal, you should be able to go into a meditative state
Another suggestion, one more invocation could be added to the warlock to replace the hydra, in the end it gets tiring to always carry the same minion, an example could be a gargoyle or an imp, I would also like the hydra to have a little more health although it They reduce the damage, basically it is used to annoy.
My only suggestion: for the training sub menu in your class set up, make a system where you can level up your base stats depending on how many levels you have. (For example, every 10 or 5 levels you can upgrade one of your base stats by 1, such as strength or agility. so if your default character originally had 10 strength, it would now be default 11) this would make it so leveling up your character has more purpose after level 20, and could allow for further optimization for each build and class. I would also say maybe you have like a limit of how many times you can upgrade each stat, as in you can only upgrade each stat up to +10 of its base (as to not make it super op). SIDE NOTE: i think there already working on some idea for the training menu, but i think this would be a good addition to the game, curious to see how people feel about it.
This game is great, but as QoL suggestion please improve the in-game descriptions of spells, casts, skills etc. not being able to read some conditions that are required for some spells or cast times is incredibly annoying especially having to navigate the wiki for such data.

yeah tbh, that is the one thing that would be bad about it, one work around could be having matchmaking with players similar level, but it my eyes gear is already a one form of creating that huge gap between players, so theres an argument there ig. I just think it would be a good idea for your characters to have greater optimization and this is a way of doing it without losing class identity like we saw with multiclassing.
This was just an idea my friend brought up, but what if the classes with magic had a mana pool and mana costs instead of spell ammo? I think it would make those classes more fun to play, as you don't have to sit down after every fight. Like you have a set amount and maybe regen, which knowledge could contribute to. Then also add mana potions. Idk, just an idea that I think would make those classes more enjoyable and would take out the tedious pauses in fights if you run out of spells.
Could be cool to solve the sitting after every fight issues but I don't know if it'll fit. The "ammo" like you said allow to have like 15-20 spell to throw to kill someone. Whit a mana bar I don't feel like it should allow you to use that much spell in a fight but that would mean a "nerf" of the wizard. The rework would help in some way but make the wizard worst in PvP and he's already one of the weakest right now. The idea is cool but I don't know if it fit or can be adapted to this game. I don't know if I made myself clear on this one xD
I get what you mean, Maybe along side mana, someone suggested adding a cd to each spell as well. Give a bigger cd to the stronger ones and less to the weaker ones. I think that would make it somewhat fair
Well depend how the mana regen is balanced it would be either, you don't have enough spell to handle a long fight or you regen too much and have infinite spell (That we already had in the past with mana potion and wizard was broken)

IronMace removed weapon damage stacking because it was too strong... but then they added DRUID! Each point of agi on Druid is equivalent to 1 weapon damage on left click and 1.5 on right click. 44 agility druid right click is like swinging a 66 weapon damage weapon at someone. For context, a legendary war maul has 57, and druid attacks at more than twice the rate.

Well actually with 50 vigor (that's should be like a lot of vigor) 15% more would make you hit a cap in the vigor scaling. So 15% of vigor on a base of 50 would be 7.5 vigor, and that mean 7.5 max hp. That's actually ok. Even before the cap in the scaling with 40 you'll win 9 max hp with 15% vigor from the skin. It's actually pretty decent. @buoyant gate

and just coming back to this comment now, multiclassing kind of did the exact same thing (being that it made players who played more have an advantage), but to a much greater extent, now tbf multiclassing got removed but primarily because it ruined class identity, but it still was way to op don't get me wrong. idk i just really struggle with the fact that there is yet to be a very good long time goal for each character besides just getting stacked, i think there needs to be more to the game than just gear and this would be a small step in that direction.

Maybe more than fame we should have a global account lvl (that reset each wipe) that could be used for your extra stat point, like that if you otp one character or play several you can have those extra point based on this Account lvl. It could also be used for a Skill based matchmaking too (but imo gearscore is better if well balanced)
on a side note, the problem now is that their r so many suggestions higher than mine that it would never be seen lol. but yeah i mean you could do it all sorts of ways with fame ect. my idea on how they would work it in with matchmaking is that players our matched with others in the general same level, with the player base the game has now they could def tweak the matchamking in all sorts of ways.

They've changed the quest now it's gold ingot and you can buy them. (And you'r not forced to kill the boss you can kill the guy who clear them)

1500 fro 5 so i need 2 and dont have such money to give 1/2 of my gold for 2 ingots for qest XD if you on higher playtime lvl and do everything easy it can be no proboblem for you but it is for 3/4 of players who dont study this game or play at the start to this day
You need 3 ore for one ingot. So 6 ore. So it's more around 1.8k gold I think it's affordable

game is punishing new players for trying to learn high roller. why are new players getting matched with the top players? no successful game with a rank system allows veteran players to run over and destroy new players in a competitive game mode. it makes the competition seem pointless.

Because they're are in a "Keep the free player" strategy imo and that's kinda bad. Because they give them too much privilege to the detriment of HR imo. They need to assume and affirm that the Squire version is a Trial, a Demo, it's here so new player can try the game and buy it.
Imo they should make the Normal mode lock to common gear like it used to and do 3 bracket of gearscore in HR only. Grey to Green/Blue (with one or 2 blue piece) -> Green/Blue to Blue/Purple (With 1 or 2 purple piece) -> And everything above that.
We don't have enough player to make gearscore in both normal and HR and imo HR should be seen like the main game mode, they should incentive people to go there more. Right now they're doing the opposite letting people using gear in normal, adding Gearscore bracket only in normal
I don't say we should remove everything to Squire version it's even the opposite I think they should have already had the regional pricing, and imo a 2nd character slot available for loke 5-10k gold would have been good.

Removing the portal and zone was a really poor decision. Why would players fight each other now, other than for loot? The motive to fight other players is gone, resulting in a boring experience where you just fight monsters and leave. The zone provided a reason for PvP, and fight for the protals. If I only need to fight boring monsters, which I've done a thousand times already, what's the point of playing this game? The depth of PvP in this game was so good, and now you've wasted it.
What fun would games like Hunt: Showdown or Tarkov be if players could only fight AI and bosses?

Man ++++ and another question is why "gear score" is so fucked up i back to game after hard break and full set is grey only green curve bow on my ranger, join lobby and see full geared in purples and legendary cobalt cleric and other in lobby are like full gear in blue/ purples so where is the point? One mistake and you are down, they just can rush you and you can do nothing about it XD

Randomized dungeon rooms as gear score value goes up + rng roaming events themed to the current map?
I really don't like the idea of randomized room, it just annoying imo. The game is still the same, when you enter a room you still do the same thing, the skeleton archer is still at the same place. It's just harder to navigate in the map and find exit. What could be interesting tho whould be random monster spawn. Where a Yeti could spawn now they're is a frost giant. For a Skeleton archer you can have a wolf or stuff like that. That would change how you interact with different room and how you play every game

I would love to see a higher currency added such as platinum to help better manage large amounts of wealth. As i see it now people use skull keys and gold keys as large currency and I think adding a platinum currency would help with the inflation of the value of these items
Separately, I think it would be great if we could hover over the small icons at the bottom of our screen that indicate our buffs and debuffs and get a small pop up describing what it is. Too many times there's been a picture down there and i cant place its origin. similarly you could hover over the active effects above your teammates portrait and see explicitly what is goin on with them
I get the player base is low but still give newer players who buy the game and want to play high roller a chance. Make there be two sections where the top 3 ranks can only go against the top 3 ranks or something. Rn there is a really unhealthy monopoly in ranked bc good players ran run through raids farming players (bc they can go for new players on their top accounts) and bosses and basically boost their numbers for free

Stop favoring the veterans so much if you want any chance at getting a bigger player base. New players can’t compete so why would they. They need to bring back zone to encourage pvp and discourage farm routes. And they need to make the game over all more even for players to have fighting chances.

Sry I don't want to be rude but you are getting everything wrong. There is a 25-124 bracket in normal now. Until this wipe every change they did was to favorise new/free player, they did it too much imo. People think the game is free and that Legendary player are pay to win. Except the game was here 1 year and a half before the steam release. The game is not free, the Squire version is a Demon. But by giving acces to gear in normal mode and partial acces to the market place people don't see the need to buy the game anymore. That's what I was saying. And I agree with you that HR is kinda unfair for new player and that why I suggested to add 3 layer of gearscore in HR, and only to HR. Normal mode is where you learn the game, it used to be retricted to common gear only and the wasn't a problem before the Steam release. Some people even liked the old Normal better than HR because white gear restriction allowed more balanced and fair fight.

A boss hp bar visible for anyone inside the boss room would be nice
same physical damage resistance and magic damage resistance index, but for some reason Cleric is 50% more resistant to all damage than all other classes, for example fighter or barbarian, taking 1 hit from goblin loses 30% health or more but cleric only loses 5-10% health even though only has 120hp while Barbarian is 160hp with roburst while fighter also has 120hp but loses more than 30hp while cleric only loses the highest is 15-20hp

based on the suggestions im reading, people want to play a different game and are trying to make that game this one.
clerics have a perk that halves the duration of debuffs, including goblin poison, and a perk that reduces all damage taken by 3 (and that's per tick in the case of dots.) So yeah, they do take much less from goblins, but its completely due to perks.

how was skill based matchmaking not good? I cant speak for the community but i can speak for me and almost 10 others that it gear based matchmaking is far from fair and balanced. reason for it is gear "scales" with skill in an exponential rate. me in full purple 7/10 will die to a skilled player in green/blue . just as i can be in started gear and wipe players with less then 100 hours regardless of gear. this is why "gear based matchmaking" cant be balanced. it also begs the question why should the average player even get good gear? bc as the match making stands right now they will just get thrown into a lobby with crazy players who know how really play the game. i mean to compare this is like if apex legends the second you got a gun with full attachments tped you into a lobby with master and preds when you are only as good as the golds.
and for normals I don't think players would complain with allowing green gear into it, but I do agree that its not a good change to allow any gear(excluding unique) into normals

I'll try to answer that. Here how I see thing : for me Skill based matchmaking mean that you will play versus player of your lvl but not the same gear. And gear score mean that you can face people better than you but with the same gear. So in reality it's a choice. Do you think you have more chance to win facing someone of your lvl but with better gear than you OR more chance to win versus someone who is better than you but with equivalent gear? Imo I think you have more chance to kill a better player with equivalent gear than a player your lvl but with better gear than you
And from what I remember that was the issues with Skill based matchmaking. Playing versus player of your lvl but with a gear difference didn't really worked.
The gear score matchmaking ended up being more balanced

i can honestly say during the first ranked season gear was never the true deciding factor in a fight. decision making and game knowledge won and lost me and my friends fights 9/10. yes if u get paired with full gold kitted dudes and your in blue its going to be annoying but that didn't happen in most lobbys until exemplar.
what i can say is the game state for high roller is toxic as all hell and not worth trying. doesnt mater what i wear or my rank im vrs voyagers and exemplars who are in better gear and are better at the game. so now they have allowed BOTH issues to effect players
I got an other argument for gear score (sry i'll answer your respons after or i'll forgot xD). Many people are against the idea of leaderboard/ ranking because most of the time it force toxic behavior or ask to tryhard / a lot of time. And about that Gear score have one avantage one Skill based it's that if you want you can reach demi god in the low bracket with base to green gear. So you have a chance to reach the top rank and get the skin without fighting the animal of the higher gearscore bracket. While with Skill based if you'r not really good you'll get stuck to a rank and won"t be able to get every reward. I think it's important, we are not here to try hard grinding a leaderboard. We are here to gather loot and cool reward

Well I prefer getting skilled checked than gear checked. they're is nothing worst than losing to someone who was worst or at the same "decision making/knowledge" than you but two shot you because he have better gear, at least for me. Ironically Gear score lead to skill being the most important thing. While Skill based matchmaking rely on who have the best gear. And about finding full gold kitted people in your lobby, at least for me (maybe on EU server only) I have clear memory that when I was playing normal with max purple gear allowed or HR (At the time when Ruins was the duo map) every game had one or two full purple gear team running on everyone in the lobby. And that was horrible. It was skill based matchmaking but in the end you had to have good gear too to kill those 2 full gear team if you wanted to rank up.
Yeah right now it's hell. But I think in the end Gear score is better, you can stay in the low bracket to play versus more chill player and get the higher rank. While in Skill based you are forced to tryhard and force to have good gear, because, yes you are facing people of your level but if they have good gear you'r fucked. And you have to be really good at the game to reach the top rank and get the cool skin

rewards lose value if everyone can just get them. idk i like ranked bc it makes putting effort in worth something. if you dont want to be competitive dont play that game mode. but for those who want to be competitive they should not be forced to fight out of their league. the highroller is also meant to be risky. the point is to take good gear in and fight the enviorment and other players also in and at their best (idealy in your league) i just guess we will have to agree to disagree with matchmaking bc i see some of your points but imo gear based is less fun in all aspects. (you dont get as much of a thrill outplaying better geared players)

Crystal sword needs to be changed to a one handed weapon or make me hold it with two hands. its wild to even consider it a two handed weapon when there are zero animations where I put two hands on it. I want to hold a lantern with my crystal sword!!!!!

when will you fix the aggro you have enemies coming at you around the corner distance away where you didnt aggro them but they still come at you or perhaps also fix enemies coming out of they rooms they are placed in you shouldn't allow mobs to be trained around the map once you leave the room they should loose aggro and then weirdly at times have mobs changing targets in the most bizarre ways all the time and it would be cool to see enemies do diff swing patterns that allow players to do more cool dodge moves instead of the generic move back
I've been playing druid and a buddy been playing warlock and dream walk and phantasm should not be in the game due to the fact it gives you invulnerability sure the warlock can't fight back but they get a movement speed increase which they can just outrun you to a place where they can just spam spells again and druid still can cast spells which can still hurt your opponent defeating the purpose of them not being able to fight back, My personal belief is invulnerability shouldn't be in extraction base games which one wrong swing or shot can make you lose all of your loot you gathered.

Using the marketplace is significantly better than it used to be, however I think a really nice QOL addition would be:
- When you right click on an item it automatically takes you to the same item being sold, giving you and idea of what the item is being sold for
Also, can we PLEASE get some kind of system whereby casters use Mana instead of spells, this system is used in classic games like Diablo where you use potions to top up your mana, instead of sitting on the ground for 5 minutes waiting for spells to return.
in Dungeonborne there seems to be a system where your mana recharges by simply killing enemies and having your mana topped up that way making the caster system much much much more fluid.
I love playing wizard when I do play it, but it is extremely boring having to use something like meditate or sitting on the floor, sure I can use a campfire however I am still out of the game technically because I can't do anything and it severely slows down progression.
Reducing the magic resistance provided by Will, enhancing already strong staves, and allowing wizzard to dominate in both close and long-range combat. They have nerfed the Cleric's physical attack bonus by 5%, Clerics still can chase down fighter as a surport class... Fighters gear is ridiculously cheap, and now they are even nerfing the magic resistance provided by Will. Are they trying to force everyone to play Longswords and become gambling addicts?
Why not leave the rondel at 10% and nerf just stiletto to 5%? You add variety and nerf at the same time. Plus it’s historically accurate since rondels were designed to be used against armor while stilettos were more popular with criminals.
Fighters already have very poor game mechanics and limitations. Thanks for nerfing our only reliance, PDR and MDR, even though these can't prevent us from being kite to death.

Wizard Changes:
Wizard is in a very poor spot and does not feel like he is viable in most matchups and is simply outclasses by Warlock.
- Some sort of mana system and mana potions or passive recharge of spells should be introduced and could possibly be scaled with knowledge or magic power?
- Having to sit down just to recharge spells is incredibly BORING and tedious and not conducive to fun gameplay
- Wizard PvE is notoriously very poor. Casting spells is an option but then youre stuck sitting every 7 mobs you kill
- Wizard I believe has the lowest hp pool and extremely frail. Maybe slight buffs to one or some of the protective perks/abilities. If ice shield could last just 0.5s longer or increased slow on hit, it would help that much more against rogues ambushing
This leads to the next problem that seems like there is never a solution for, Rogue.
__Rogue Changes: __ - Weakpoint is too strong. The change that was made to lower armor pen on daggers by 5% is a start but rogues can currently blow up full PDR fighters by ignoring their PDR even if theyre capped on PDR. There is no world that this should exist.
- Rogue, specifically landmine Rogues are the least enjoyable class to go against and has NO real way to play around unless players expected to sit and wait in one tile of the map all game and force a rogue to have to reveal themselves by opening a door. Unsure what changes need to be made but once needs to be made. Adding back the invis outline of a rogue is a start but likely not enough. Maybe adding the outline back and increasing the time the outline lasts than previous to punish rogues who are not stealhing in time.
- The only classes Rogues cant landmine are two of the strongest classes in the game. Druid and Warlock. This is due to the dream state and phantomize perk and ability.

- Limit magic healing in each available slot to +1 magic healing OR reduce scaling with magical healing on torture mastery ESPECIALLY on friendly targets. Torture amstery healing is absolutely broken. The sustain and infinite casting on warlocks is absolutely insane.
- Remove or HEAVILY reduce life drain scaling on friendly targets. IF that change is made, life drain scaling can remain higher on ENEMY targets to still make it a viable hp stealing option.
- No limit on spell casting other than hp (which hardly ever matters considering the absolutely unmatched sustain the class wields)
- There is no reason to play wizard in its current state when Warlock exists.
- Get rid of movement speed bonus from phantomize and/or lower the time you are in the phantomize state.
- Warlock has way to many things going for it. best kiting, best zoning, best sustain, best magic damage, best PvE, Best PvP and best get away with phantomize only rivaled by druid at the moment with Phantom + chicken leap combo and ratting away.
Druid Changes - Being able to spam different forms is a bit much especially for druids who are running away. Add a slight cooldown between switching to another form or being able to switch back to a form you just exited. (Ie, 2 second cooldown to go to bear if you just turned into a panther OR not being able to turn back into a panther for a longer time frame like 6 seconds or so but being able to turn into any other form without cooldown)
- Some sort of nerf to agility scaling on panther
I'm almost sure it was a change done to nerf cleric, but yes fighters got hit by it even more imo as fast clerics are not even affected by this change
They tried to buff plate armor before, but the biggest beneficiaries turned out to be clerics.
fighter' talents and skill changes have never been successful; it's always been about sprint and Second Wind. The talents are particularly disappointing.
Not to mention the inherent poverty in the gameplay and design of the fighter character itself, more attack modes or better compatibility with other weapons might help, but fundamentally, the talents are too weak. You can intuitively compare the talents of the Barbarian and Fighter, which is pitiful to the extreme.
Yeah lot of good points. I think adding some passive spell regen based on knowledge would be great. Enough to generate an MM every 90 seconds or so, a fireball every 2-2.5 minutes lets say would already go a long way.
Unless they weaken the wizard's close-range abilities (such as with the broken wand), wizards may become one of the most versatile classes, much like the overpowering warlocks.
The issue isn't with the Wizard; it's because another class can kill anyone in three hits.

Not a fan of removing what makes rat interesting to use either. The moving between objects nobody else can should be considered a feature so long as it doesnt break the map. L change. Squeaking constantly on a stealth form is also real fun.

I would love to see some diffrent gamemodes, maybe something like Deep Dives (a longer time limit or maybe none?) that are more/only PvE focused with a bigger party cause there are more mobs or more difficult. I'm thinking that it would be a slower and more dangerous challange all over. All of this could be made so it does not share stash and characters for the PvP mode.
Would love to see this game get some more love from all of those (including me) that are VERY bad at PvP and/or does not want to PvP.
And in my mind it should be harder to level up in that mode

It's not a PvP game, it's PvEvP. A Dungeon crawler with PvP. I don't think a full PvE mode is a good idea tho. Better to use the dev time to improve the base game mode
Fundamentally though, the game is pvpve which means pvp is part of the overall design alongside pve. The question still stands - why buy a PvPvE game if you don't like the pvp part of it, and then ask devs to take time, money and resources away from the initial game vision to make a game mode for those who don't want to play the game that they purchased as is?

Your analogy is not quite correct. It would be more akin to someone purchasing an apple phone, and then complaining that it doesn't have access to the googlestore (I don't know if it does or not to be fair :P) (but what I'm getting at is buying a game of type X and then asking for it to have a type Y game mode because you don't like X).
Buying a game and then asking for the core concept to be changed, or asking for a new mode to be added that removes the majority of the difficulty simply because you don't like it has become a common practice in gaming at the moment. We shouldn't be diverting resources away from the main development of the game.

im finding it impossible to get away from druids as a non tank. when im playing PDR as fighter cleric or barb i can tank enough hits and deal enough damage to at least scare them off. but as anything squishier even stacking move speed I can't get away from a panther. any ideas on balancing it out
increase base dmg, decrease scaling make it scale from str/dex since its agi scaling they will be ms cap or close to it, but this patch people are already close or at ms cap with most gear even plate gear is close to 100% ms

I think the best idea would be to not split up queues with another game mode but instead dive deeper into what they propably want the wyvern to be. First floor of any map should stay as it is, with a "normal" boss on it, as in gc, that you can take on as a team or a solo. That boss should also have an interesting boss room around it that functions as a gathering pool for all people that want pvp and spicy loot. Build with different kinds of cover and elevation to give a canvas for exiting pvp battles. Second floor of any map should be more of the old classic raid in mmos and mainly pve focused. Mobs there should be a lot harder and require your team to work together. No place for solos. The boss, like the wyvern, should be only fightable by multiple teams combining there forces so that it's actually a raid boss with much better loot at the end and a direct extract for everyone. For that to work you would need some kind of mechanic to comunicate in the first floor that you want to go down and are looking for mates. Something like the horn emote that's free and audible over the whole map or some kind of big drum next to each static down. Of course betrayal should be always an option in this kind of raids because we are playing dad not wow xD.
That way you would not split the playerbase and dad would get some much needed endgame content within its actual core game mode. What do you think about that idea?

you should use the shop triumph level as a mark for each individual's player experience in the game and split the timmy's from experienced players so they don't quit the game cause they keep getting killed by veterans. example: i am triumph level 5 with 413/800 extractions towards level 6 and this is account bound not character bound so even if you make a new character you'd still have same triumph level
you're kinda right but he has a point. currently its not really viable to build a lot of mdr. If spellcasting classes are balanced that is not that big of a problem, but when a spellcaster like cleric now or warlock before gets op through flawed balancing there is nothing that you can do against them really buildwise. to give them magic pen just further decentivises to build mdr witch kinda not makes sense to me.

i totally agree that timmies and veterans should not be matched together. If we want fair fights (and i hope that is consense) we should really think about a skill based matchmaking instead of a gear based one. However i think a MMR build on your pvp succes in the last couple of games would be more pecise than the triumph level. Matchmaking only makes a difference in pvp and as such should not factor in any pve related elements (like extractions). Its true that a player that extracted a lot propably is better at fighting, but why go that way all around if what you really want is to messure and compare peoples combat abilities.

the thing is i don't believe you can take it as far as mmr in this game cause there aren't enough players to do that. it works great for league or valorant or cs 2 or dota cause they have huge player base but if you do an mmr system in dark and darker once you climb very high the mmr ladder you're gonna be alone in those lobbies. we shouldn't go as far as to protect people who couldn't get better after 1000 hours but we should protect the new player experience

i love that the zone is gone xD i hated it. it was a cheap battle royale style pvp enforcer. this game is not a battle royale. it is a dungeon crawler. But you're right if you're saying we need to enforce pvp more. A much better solution: One focal point in the center of each map. concentrate the high value loot there. in the rest of the dungeon you should only find gray and white treasure. Give rats the option to rat but then they have to live like a rat by the crumps. everyone that wants real loot has to gather in the center and fight over it. I loved Ice caverns before the wipe cos of that. You could rat around on the outskirts if you wanted, but if you wanted pvp, you went for the treasure room in the center and allways had good fights there.

Something like this won't work. Yes, it's not a battle royale, but that doesn't matter. This game is PVPVE. The AI is a hindrance here, but the game mainly focuses on PVP. Now PVP makes no sense. There's nothing pushing us to meet players. The zone blocked run away. We either make a game for casual players or PVP. There is no 50/50. And know we have rats and exctract campers like in Escape From Tarkov. Especially Rogues on invisibility. Jesus.. It is nonsense.
you dont have to spread it as much as in league. works the same as with gbmmr. Make one bracket for complete noobs (that one could even be extraction related), one for the average joe (up to around a 50/50 PVP Win/Lose ratio) and one for everything above.

but another problem faces and it's that this game doesn't have the higher purpose of climbing the ladder and getting higher rank/mmr so you could lose on purpose when naked to go fight the average joe's
Suggestion: Make the Armorer's Quest "Unscathed Escape" allow warlocks to use spells. I went in as a warlock, took no damage from enemies or any traps or anything, only my own spells, and I left the dungeon with full HP. and I didnt get credit for it.
The easy way is to take the first elevator of goblin cave. clear the goblin with your falchion
hunt: showdown has this kind of system and it works great. sure you can derank if you let other players kill you on porpose. but once you actually start to fight again and kill like 7 in one run you instantly rank up again. so it takes like 7 games for farming for one run of easy pvp. not alot of people are doing this often xD

I would love to have ranked games with SSF mode, where you can only get into the game with up to 2 white weapons and no other gear except some utilities in character slots and then you just loot and fight with what you find in the dungeon

As a new player I would really like to see the default character limit for new players bumped to 2 it really sucks when pick a class ( say warlock) decide I dont like it then have to lose 12 levels to start over from sratch and lose everything with a new character ( as there is no shared vault ) this would give players some flexiblity to find a player style they want without being punished I nearly left because of it as I didnt want to lose my progress.
Maybe as compinsation legendary players character count could also be bumped by 1 as well.

I heavily disagree the free to play version needs to encourage players to stay to do this players need to be able to find and keep a playstyle that they like if they get locked into a player style they hate they wont stay.

Of course they would - the free to play players obviously would want MORE free to play stuff, but it doesn't make sense from a business perspective. The more that F2P gets, the less incentive they have to buy. It's very common practice in F2P versions of video games to have restrictions.
That's why I agree that they should have given them the oppurtunity to have a 2nd character slot (maybe for like 5k gold) but right now with the right to use gear in normal and marketplace if they do that people would just stick to free and never buy the game which is the point of the free version. It's a Demo not a real free to play

They can purchase from the market - that's the important part of it.
Revert normal to common only and you can give them 2 character slot or thing like that (They can buy in the market)
the easy and smart solution would be to give every player the option to play any character kind of as a "demo version". You have no stash and cant complete any quests. No progress at all. you can just play as the base lvl 1 char with the sqire options that come with that. if you extract everything you carry is just lost and you get reset. That way free players could try out new classes without right out deleting there progress while also not having the option to really play more than one class in a meaningfull way.
I would love to see Barbarians have a skill to throw two handed weapons. Unbalanced for sure, I don't care.
Instead of straight up removing assassin druid by making it so rat is loud as hell and making panther not really viable (since panther is super weak in direct confrontations due to literally dying to 2 hits from any class in the game). How about you add a perk where rat doesn't squeak.
This way people who like to play assassin druid MUST sacrifice a perk slot while 90% of druids still wont take it. It enables different builds and gameplay variety which I think should be the goal anyways. Following meta and forcing people to play the same way is just boring in the long term.

i think a lot of perks in general need an overhaul, or we simply need new perks truth be told, for every class.
if you want to prevent Meta comps, you have to make the other options within a class competitive.
also drop the knowledge requirement for Invis pots....15 is ridiculous, make it like 10..

funnily enough im not talking about barbs getting access to the Invis pot. the biggest one for me is the rogue, the fact that i cant use an invis pot as a rogue sucks, and that i have to specifically build a useless stat on that class to access it is a joke.

if you want to hide for a longer time as opposed to 8 seconds, and burning a perk slot for a longer hide is a hell of a sacrifice.
this suggestion i think doesnt remove any playstyles from rat, but gives them a timer to make sure its not infinite (i think the newest rat form change has only removed playstyles from the game rather than balancing the form)
the druid i frame duration is very long in my opinion when accounting for its cool down and how it compares to phantomized because its in the perk section and not a skill it can provide more value than it being a skill on warlock besides warlock doing flame walk phantomize combo, as long as a druid has enough move speed they are effectively just a better phantomized that has to be injured to activate yes but because you would use an i frame in that situation to being with that angle of an argument doesn't really function in my opinion and 9/10 you already out of the danger 4 seconds into phantomized unless your being chased
i think the problem with it is that a lot of classes have to use a lot of resources to close a gap, and when they finally do to a druid they just phantomise for free with no counterplay
