Do you have Vanguard on your PC installed? If yes try uninstalling it for a while. But also suggestions channel might be wrong one for that question.
You've just said that maps were designed for solo, duos and trios. How does the map can be balanced when it was designed for whole different gameplay? Serious question

Because we paid to play this game, going F2P is going to cause a mass of cheating and abuse, especially if the paid players are forced to play with F2P players that are going to cheat on mass. Regular F2P players aren't going to be the problem, its the mass of cheaters that will be.
That's what highrollers and trade lock outs are for. I'm sure they are planning more.
The maps went through MANY changes throughout the development.
Goblin case used to be a lot smaller and more predictable in it's mapping.
Ice cave and Tomb as well.
To solve such a problem, they changed and added map tiles in each map, making it a balanced envyronment, be it solo, duo or trio.
HOWEVER, i do believe that Tomb has an issue when it comes to escaping since it doesn't really have a multi-player escape route.

They will always find loopholes to trade and money, as for high-roller, you need to pay gold to get in, you can't get that gold without playing normals first. No matter what, you are going to be forced into a bad situation of dealing with cheating.
I agree that cheaters will be an issue in normal lobbies. But nothing stopped cheaters from playing in normals before. Would allowing better gear really change that much?
As they've mentioned before, the majority of people cheating always cheated in High Roller, since they wanted the useless, and frankly idiotic, "Rank".
F2P players still can't play high roller, so if cheaters are your concern. High roller is already the place where F2P and paid players separate.
That is sadly quite true.
F2P will always allow cheaters to come in, but we must have faith that they'll figure something out.

Plenty of games have tried F2P with paid players, it ALWAYS ended badly and forced those games to die or having players separate. Yes, there are also cheating that paid for the game, but it won't be nearly as bad as when they can now gain access to the game for completely free. Keeping players separate lowers the risk of running into cheaters and still gives F2P players still the taste of the game and giving them the option to upgrade to a paid version. 🤷♂️
I hope the high end of normal dungeons gear score ends up getting limited to greens and maybe one blue.
Stretching it all the way to legendary seems a bit crazy. At least then there will be desparity and progression, without insane pub stomping.

I wonder if they'll add a way to have another mode besides normal and high roller. Somewhere in between that allows green/blue gear that allows even f2p players to bring gear they get from normals.
Also wondering if they'll change some races like lizardman/Lycans to wear helms. It's a huge disadvantage to not have helms on some classes, like warlock. Or make the races have stats that scale to what mode you're playing on (normal/high roller)
Lycan passive gives 3 vigor. A white cap gives 3 vigor, armor, and headshot protection. Seems kinda weak.
Maybe if you wear a helm on those classes takes off the buff that lizardmen/lycans provide? Thataway you can switch off it if you decide to.

How does the restrictions work, is it currently tier based? honestly segregating the queue between greys and whites with a few greens and greens with a few blues sounds like it could work. If not then just keep normals down to greens.

The problem is they will be killing literally everything and everyone in one hit, they aren't going to have a single legendary item, they'll be kitted out and the only risk would be another fully kitted out player in the lobby to them. There won't be a moment to strike and kill them if you physically can't. And most of the lobby will be players who aren't kitted out to the gills with highroller gear in normals.

Hey ironmace, sincerely asking, why the absolute hell did you add giant spiders that repel from the ceiling. I've been able to fight my arachnophobia enough to play the game until this point but I legit just got sent into a full panic attack.
This, restrict trade posted items from normal dungeons, and set the maximum gear score to allow only greens and maybe a few blues.
where do they repel from the ceiling?!
Not fully sure where they ALL do, but I encountered one in ice caves. Around one of the wolf spawns. They repel CRAZY fast, they STALL for a moment DIRECTLY AT HEAD LEVEL, and they are as big as you.

I suggest restricting free accounts to a choice from only 2 or 3 of the classes (fighter, wizard, ranger, for example) to give more incentive to upgrade and more perceived value for those that paid for the game in the past.

Honestly, 1 character slot maximum is insentive enough. Once a f2p is far enough along they aren't gonna want to delete their character to play another class. The only option will be to buy. As a free to play player myself I'm fine with that.

I suggest that they buff the Druid. The buffs will include:
The bear form's attack damage will be increased from 5 to 250, the bear's speed reduction will be removed and replaced with a 5% speed bonus.
The panther form's bleed will tick 5x faster and will only go away if a rare+ bandage is used, the speed buff will be changed from 5% to 20%, there will no longer be a max health bonus, physical healing, and magical healing reduction.
The chicken form's incoming healing decreases will be changed to buffs, which are now set to 200%, as well as the peck penetrating 100% of armor and dealing 100% of the 150 physical damage, and it will no longer have any max health bonus reduction.
The rat form's hitbox will be reduced by 80%, The plague will now tick 10x faster, deal 10 (1) magical damage, and will only go away if a rare+ health potion is consumed, the form will now also be able to completely phase through any wall and door by "crawling through the cracks" and "running under the door," as well as the lost 95% of maximum health, physical healing, and magical healing, will be completely removed, making it's health pool and healing the same as a normal human.
I think that if the devs put local pricing in practice here in Brazil they would have a pretty considerable upgrade in the number of players from SA. the thing is 30$ may not seem much but we don't even consider buying games that are more than 20$ and when we do is very common to share the game with a friend but with dark and darker that is hardly a option, so very few people can actually afford to play the game.

The squire as merchant is confusing. Make it more easy to acess, since he is the main guy for loadouts and delving in dungeon.
Accepting quest, it's an unecessary step. This's not open-world game. Suggestion: Just make all quests be automatic accepted. Unless you have a good ideia of "presenting the quest".
3)Selling stuff for the merchants is too complicated. Each merchant is different, make it more visible or easy know. Maybe a highlight or hide other itens.
4)Make the tooltip of "shift +r click" more visible.

f2p just gone from not being able to brg anything to being able to brg everything they want. you cant have inbetween. 1 you lock the f2p to play together so both side will have dead lobbies in 2 week. 2 you cap the quality to green or blue so a/h player will be able to buy bis gears and make an even greater injustice for f2p player that cant choose their stats. 3 you let it like that and f2p players can just purchase the game if they wanna use a/h ?

made over 150k gold last season just by looting HR players fatkit with my naked barb so i can tell you that not all geared players are good at the game and real best players once leaderboard is open will use their wealth to climb leaderboard and losers who go lose full legendary in normals will be minimal and stomped fast

I've LITERALLY been suggesting that you can't bring bought gear into normals or have greens and below not be tradeable, and have the gear score only allow greens and potential one or two blue items at the maximum, you aren't finding purple gear in normals. You will be using normals to rack up blues you find or very good greens plus money and then play high roller to progress even further.

First you can find purple in normal, fighting boss, or looting hoard (you can even find some in normal chest it's just rare). Second even with self found only it's not that hard or long to get a really good blue stuff and destroy every lobby. It wasn't exactly self found in the past but the marketplace wasn't a thing and only the trading post (who was really boring and exausthing to use) was available and as Xancord said the game was horrible. Really if old player are that traumatized about the unrestricted normal game there is a good reason. I don't know if you've just joined the discord and are an old player or if you'r new but your idea seems good but it's not

Market place and trading post are the same thing. You also refuse to understand either. This has not been tried or tested before and you haven't understood what I was suggesting. I have put it in line with the new gearscore changes. My argument is not the same as it was before.
Removal of Closing Circle
i feel the removal of the circle was a good addition for a few key reasons and bad for others.
the main pro being that it removes the annoyance of unnecessary deaths based on an rng spawn and it gives you more freedom to play how you wish.
the major con of this system is that pvp is almost non existent now, players are no longer brought together and the removal of multiple exit portals means player must focus on getting to the three person exit, which is typically in the corner of the map away from the majority of the players.
there needs to be a center room that has increased loot and exit portals to draw players together. with out this there is very little chance for combat.
The second con is that players are not forced into fights and can just leave because theres not a damage wall behind them.
with all exit portals being placed in the center rooms that will require these players to still push in and secure an exit forcing combat.
right now the game feels like its pve with a bit of pvp
you could even have this "centre room" rotate from map to map, keeping it fresh
have an arrow on the map that directs players to this room/rooms

I believe once the newer players get more confident and chase more kills the pvp will heavily increase. Rn 75% of a lobby will die to AI leaving no one to pvp. After 1 month everyone will be skilled enough to chase that loot and pvp high this game gives. As for the exits I think exits could be better placed to be more centralized. Causing more natruel pvp interactions rather then needing to chase that next fight.
imo exits are fine. new players can have a easier time to extract and pvpers need to hunt them instead of being forced on the same spot. but there should be a point of interest like old ice cavern loot pile in the middle of the map where pvper and high stake players clash

It's not about agree or not it's how the game was meant to be. The game now is closer to how the dev always wanted it to be. So it was indeed too much PvP before. But I agree than PvP is in a bad place right now and deserve a upgrade (with objective on map). But don't worry they're working on the Arena mode for people who want PvP like you
No, 2 boat, elevator on frost cavern, 2 triple portal in Abyss. Elevator and 2 triple portal (at least) in GC. X triple portal in crypt, and 4 triple portal in Hell (Don't know if they all spawn each game didn't checked yet but there is a triple in each corner)

I'm really unsure if needing more than your full pre-made team guaranteed to fight the Ice Wyvern is a good thing. It's already quite difficult to get people to go along with something like that unless you're streaming to an audience, and seems to really limit the boss & be a missed opportunity for something this is otherwise awesome (and the arena/abyss itself is sick too)
On one hand I think it's cool that there's a like "Raid-like" boss that requires effort from potentially multiple parties, however, in practice it just creates a very limited piece of content - that does add this "rare/cool" factor to it as it can't be farmed or repeated every time but again limits one of the coolest draws of going to the Abyss.

maybe they made the boss like that intentionally to change peoples mindset and improve communication between players in order to be able to do the full content. kinda interesting to see where it gonna lead ngl.

Remove the HR entry fee and make the first floor more chill and appealing to go to. The number of nightmare spawns there makes it completely not worth nor fun. If you're soloing in there you get bogged down on classes with weak PVE to the point you barely move around the map. PVP is mostly dead there. Imo HR should be a very smooth transition from normals.

first floor should get limited to red spawn. nightmares is way too opressive for beginner/med experimented players. but for the gold entrance i think its fine its a good gold sink and increase value of higher quality gear. otherwise everything is kinda worthless cuz too easy to find.

I just realized that I sometimes don't loot stuff from breakable crates and barrels and such because the items spawn on top of each other and are slow to separate, do the devs plan on making the items spawn next to each other instead of how it is now where they clip into eachother?
honestly finding new players and smokin em has been fun and all... but im lucky if i see one other team every 2-3 games. This is no longer a pvp game. Bring back the blue circle or at least centralize the exits!
No it's not, High roller is way more worth than normal. Go i' Hell/Abyss kill some boss. Loot some pile you'll make 2-3 time more gold than in normal

there a weird ice cave spawn spot that puts you behind stack of boxes issue with this spawn spot it also spawns all 3 trio players in that tight spot so there no room to swing to break them without hitting teammate, please space the boxes out abit more
Do you know that you need to jump to avoid getting hit? And also that boulder fall faster on the edge of the map. The trick is to keep it in the middle of the room as much as possible and jump slitghly after he hit the ground like half a second later (but try it and get your own timing it's better)

Ok ok, you can be direct hir even of you jump true. But if you hit it fast enough you'll have to be veeeeeeeeery unlucky to take boulder in the head 3-4 time in a row. I don't say it can't happen but it might be really rare

Maybe if the boulder was falling in a wave (Like from north to south of the room) it would do the trick. You'll be able to dodge them and it will even force you to stop hitting the boss for a few sec of you want to dodge
Exactly, or maybe a little spec of rubble or light coming from where the boulders will fall. Allowing the player to react and possibly aboid the boulders

Instead of the gear based matchmaking for normals, is there a way to separate lobbies for those with say... over 100hrs of playtime? Whether I am in the 25 and below, or 25+, it seems like the vast majority of players right now are newer to the game. If it can be done, pairing new players with as many other new players as possible will probably help with their experience.
Thinking back to when I first started playing, the learning curve is steep. Trying to get an understanding of how to play against the AI, move sets, learn the map, the abilities, different classes, importance of sound queues, very basics of the game etc.. The knowledge and skill gap between a new, novice, advanced, expert player is large, and I wonder if it would help player retention to try and filter new players with other new players.

What i would love is the capacity of making a improvised party with ppl you find in dungeon and waiting room (tavern) with other 2/1 solo players (1 max in duo maps and 2 max in trio maps). i know there is a party finder in the lobby and that devs dont like ppl teaming in dungeon but it is a reality that ppl are teaming anyway and that there is a big playerbase that likes to cooperate in the dungeon so they couldnt just ban us. if they dont want that the teaming goes out of controll they should implement the real life problems of cooperating with an stranger into the game, like the possibility of betrayal or the fact that bigger teams leads to smaller reward for each player. Also i would like a white flag item to indicate that im friendly.
They try to balance solo, and trio I feel like quads would be the most insane buffball monster meta. It would also split the servers too much.
As far as I'm aware the only teaming devs have a real problem with are those that attempt to get into lobbies with their friends without being in a party with them
for example, one guy and their 4 friends all queue into solo at the same time in order to try and get into the same lobby and destroy it with superior numbers
Issue with quads is number of players who would queue into quads, balancing gameplay. People already complain that duo queue takes too long
i never liked solo and duo games for the same reason, at least they fixed a big problem of it that was not being able to play gobling cave and and frost montain if you play with 3/2 friends. map rotation was great
doesn't help that there are already 2 brackets for the 2 game types and 3 dungeons making a total of 12 different queues

consider this, a group of friends with 4 people who want to play may decide to run two parties in duo
if they instead had a 4 man dungeon they could play, that is 2 parties that are no longer in duo queue, making the queue worse
I think they should have understood that the goblins cave is more attractive by design for solo player because of the loot and the difficulty not making it solo queue restricted. All maps should have been trio max with a map designe woth of solo, duo or trio but the problem is the same always, there is a pvp tryhard playerbase that the only place they have to pvp is in the dungeon and without any punishment mechanic like a reputation system or a bounty system. Until they fix the pvp tryhard playerbase problem all they will make is coming with new patches in to detriment of game variety and fun, originated from an initial game design (first play tests) which in my opinion was better.
I suggest that they buff the Druid. The buffs will include:
The bear form's attack damage will be increased from 5 to 250, the bear's speed reduction will be removed.
The panther form's bleed will tick 5x faster and will only go away if a rare+ bandage is used, the speed buff will be changed from 5% to 20%, there will no longer be a max health bonus, physical healing, and magical healing reduction.
The chicken form's incoming healing decreases will be changed to buffs, which are now set to 200%, as well as the peck penetrating 100% of armor and dealing 100% of the 150 physical damage, and it will no longer have any max health bonus reduction.
The rat form's hitbox will be reduced by 80%, The plague will now tick 10x faster, deal 10 (1) magical damage, and will only go away if a rare+ health potion is consumed, the form will now also be able to completely phase through any wall and door by "crawling through the cracks" and "running under the door," as well as the lost 95% of maximum health, physical healing, and magical healing, will be completely removed, making it's health pool and healing the same as a normal human.
Also change the name of the "Summon Treant" spell to "Summon Trent"
I would very much like a rework to how the spell Judgment is handled. If I am casting it there should be no reason it fails because they wiggle out of range. Or at least treat it like holy strike and hit the position with a small aoe.

Day 2 Requesting SSF Characters to be an official thing. Gimme an official way to create a character that can't trade, loot from players or use vendors.
But real talk, they need to make the chicken's attack have a slightly longer range, you can't even hit something standing still 90% of the time because your collision hitbox stops you from getting close enough for your attack hitbox to actually hit them
Bear's definitely underpowered now, it needs a small static damage bonus but not to have its scaling increased again. Right now I think cleric is just a better druid because it can use armor and bear being druid's source of tankiness doesn't really work well.
Hi there, I'm watching the game grow from the first play test and I'm enjoying it. There is something that I would like to see as a solo player mostly bcoz my friend are not playing that much to implement better queue range then uncommon to legendary. How it makes sense that wearing uncommon set you can fight legendaries and epics.. please reconsider that( I'm not saying that bcoz I have problems with obtaining gear - gear actually the better the less I'm enjoying the game. Please consider also a "looted" only queue which means you can only q with items that you obtained yourself.
My idea make a dwarf skin, and give it ore detection, works like trap detection but for ores.
both are static currently tho, but plants are a bit harder to see and easier to miss. If you know the ore spawns it would be a bit unnecessary. As long as they have something else.

they are but i think those are a bit easier to forget since they are smaller (the wall traps i mean) they even most times are indicated on the minimap

idk if this is a problem with the chicken or the ingame models honestly. You can barely hit anything thats humanoid in shape. I think the collision boxes especially around parts of the body that aren't the feet need to be smaller. prolly a problem with both.

mode or arena map, with 8 teams, which can be solo/duo/trio depending on the rotation or choice of mode, mode focused on pvp, where they will be divided into 3 elimination rounds, each round a team will face each other, thus advancing in the bracket until reaching the final, to be fair with the balance of the game, it will be done like this, in the first round everyone used white items to balance the items, thus being fair without the possibility of finding a full purple or orange team while yours has blue items or white, in the second round the items became blue and in the third and final round the items will be purple, in the final the winning team will have a chest to loot, nothing too strong and not too bad, a mode focused on those who like the pvp of game and want to have a quick game, good for training and practicing PvP and new builds, it would be very fun and interesting, and a competitive one could even emerge based on this mode, attracting more players and boosting the game's community, if done well and set up this way mode could be very successful similar to the arena present in League of Legends currently, the balanced item system could be made either with the game automatically giving items to the players based on the status and classes used by each of them or with a chest with a variety of items to be chosen to build your build for the next round, or a similar system, this would not hinder players who play the normal game mode but would also attract new players in turn, more complete queues and a more fun way It's quick to enjoy this game, a jewel to be polished.
Its simple, just make the matching based on Gear Level
make normals have two lobbies, gear 0-24 & 25-299 max, then HR should be 299+
minimum gear score for HR means its a goal to save a kit and go in. Knowing other people will have a decent kit
In turn, it will put more people in HR due to the fact that they are forced to if they have a gear score of 299+
and maybe remove the HR fee, as people will be forced to bring good kits regardless
this will help divide the lobbies only by 3, rather than 6
Having less lobbies would also help lower population regions

hey so im f2p player and so far i enjoy the game and the only thing that kinda bugs me its that the f2p players can make only one character, i understand its like this because the f2p version is like demo to try the game out, but it would be very cool if the f2p players had a chance to grind out the extra slots for characters like for big amount of coins or blueshard stones, im suggesting this idea because i would like to try out other classes of characters but dont want to delete my lvl 30 already existing class

itd be awesome if y'all added more mechanics from games such as mordhau and chiv, i love the game idea and the gameplay but the attack options are quite lack luster and feel super unpolished with how they come out so robotic. adding a block to every weapon at the cost of high stamina with repel+chambers would be crazyand make the combat feel both alot smoother and more strategic especially in the case of 1v1 where it feels like most of it is based on who has more HP+Speed = Win. Here's my issue today. They gave us so few quests i finished them in about 3 hours. They took away the circle so now there is no pvp. I spent every game running towards spawns, ignoring mobs, trying to get fights. I think I saw one person every 3-4 games AND I WAS HUNTING. As of right now I have 2 extra stash tabs. Theres no crafting, no pvp. What is going to bring me back to the game today?
There is literally nothing left to do. Stack materials for later? No thanks. The pvp in this game is dead now, BRING BACK THE BLUE CIRCLE or at least make exits centralized or DO SOMETHING so i can actually fight someone!

We go as fast as we can, usually heading towards the middle or a group exit but since there are multiple of those it's still usually just us there even waiting until the timer has almost ran out
All the maps were designed with the circle in mind and now with all these static exits added on top they successfully killed pvp
They could probably fix static exits being such a fun killer by making the blue stones a duo exit instead of trio and making the raft do less laps
The random exits were so much better
Just have those and like 1 or 2 group exits and it would already make things way better

I think just allowing for 2 characters and a self found mode for normals would be the best option (self found is to prevent the game from looking bad due to the market being labeled as “pay to win” since you can buy stat specific gear pieces) that or just removing trading and market as a whole to remove the shopping list part of the game that way when someone finds something it’s a matter of how useful it is to you/one of your characters rather than “Oh this is gunna go for x gold!”

The gray/white lobby should be fair and enjoyable enough for f2p by not exposing them to people that bought the game and are using the mechanics that bring them out of that lobby, don't take the market from normals, it should be normal for people to go straight to the market after dying, if you're poor you go back to gray lobby to try and get out of that hole by finding random pieces they can use good enough or sell

Highrollers should 100% be the only mode you can take highlevel gear into, the only reason anyone with full blues and purples goes into normals is to try and farm people with no gear with little risk to losing. And a bonus would be have it be found in raid only so max endgame players can't just fully kit out with BiS and easily pubstomp everyone in normals.
They shouldnt get to use the market without buying the game, f2p are who most of the cheaters will be flooding the market

Yes you’re entirely correct but that being said it’s about being fair though. I don’t think teaching new players that you have to buy the game to have a large advantage is a good idea. Sure they can save gear but that’ll take them forever compared to the bis kit fighter that two shot them 4 games ago and they’re still saving up gear to recover
Instead of Normal vs HR restriction, it should have been SSF vs Duos/Trios. That way it would also provide different experience that could make people spend for full version
The real problem is people got told Free To Play so they assume they can enjoy every aspect but theyre just on a Demo

But my router has wifi 4 and 5 sometimes theyll connect simultaneously and ping me to death, disconnecting from the wifi 5 fixed it
Legendary edition holders should get more blue shards per play. Not knowing Lycan was coming, I spent blue shards on cosmetics after buying the other races. Now, I've bought a full game and there's a competitive advantage in Lycan that's locked behind an additional $10 purchase.

When all dungeonborne did was copying 80% of systems and mechanics, changing a bit the combat and making it look more fancy.

Idea
Wands as a main hand weapon for spell casters. Works like a bow. Shoots a single magic attack like the warlock dark bolt or the mage ice bolt. Has x amount of shots before you have to reload it. The reload would be like charging the wand back up. Your will would determine the reload time. As the more magic power you have the faster you can recharge.

Thanks to not having circle i m feeling that encounters are more natural so in case devs want to make pvp more frequent i suggest you to design custom new ways to encourage players moving from rooms that feels natural and random to each map. For example:
-In goblins cave, add random rooms ceiling to collapse since early game making them inaccessible and insta killing all players inside after a few seconds of earthquakes as warning (keep the end game whole dungeon collapse). This is easily balanced by changing the number of rooms that collapse for each game and making more probable of collapsing those rooms that doesn't blocks ways to things like bosses. After that in case this make exits to much difficult cause you are removing access to some static exits i suggest bringing back some old random blue portals like 1 for each room with exit that collapse.
-In crypt you can make it similar but with plague progressively growing in those rooms and instead of instakill here the penalty is starting to lose health. The plague in that room will gain damage progressively each minute since the first minute of the game to a point when is not worth getting in anymore because is to risky.
-In frost mountain also the same but instead of plague is freezing and instead of losing health each second you gain freezing stacks each second that slows you until you turn into an ice cube. In this one the doors also freezes after a couple of seconds but you can go back in if you break the ice in the door. with some strong class like fighter/barbarian/etc, keep in mind that this room keeps applying stacks and that the door will freeze again. As in goblins cave here you need some early visual/sound warning before it start to apply stacks so it doesn't feels unfair.
What i want to say with this is that there are many way to encourage pvp without bringing back the BR perfect and intrusive circle that takes you out of the fantasy.
i miss the circle 😦 nowadays i get matched in a lobby with like 2 other people and i played 7 games with 0 pvp. It was in normals, but still feels like id like to have some player interaction!
i get the encounters feeling more natural - but it came at expense of the thrill that comes at the end of every session, competing with players for a way out
You are probably right about that there is much less pvp but you cant really know. Also there is a thing with new players being more cowards or dying against mobs.

but ive always been a noob, on and off playing and enjoying it when i do but never getting to far each EA - and i can say with certainty that the amount of pvp I experience (in normals, as a lower level player) has reduced from 100% to around 15% of what i used to experience

Im sure that the devs have the stats and if it real and it seems, they will do something fast. From the worst solution that for me would be bringing back circle to making number of players in dungeon bigger to bigger things like new mechanics as i suggested.
When your teammate falls into the void on Frost Mountain, if you choose to go to the next level of the map, your teammates bodies should appear when you enter the next layer so that you can revive them or grab their gear.

The forced pvp was literally the worst part of the game, when I played a few years ago. Getting boxed in with 3 player squads, that all had some kind of build and coordination when you're a new solo player was not fun and made me just stop playing and loose interest in the game completely, it was literally a battle royale

Can we make the quests shared between all characters of your account (like, if you finish a quest on one character its done on all of them). The way things are now your average player wont even finish all the quests (all quests well eventually get, not the few we got at the moment) on a single character, let alone multiple ones.

Right now you need to find someone in the Ice Caves, convince them to go down, and then do it
The queuing in the latest patch is pretty fun. I'd like to see it go more in this direction. Remove high roller, go back to a single queue. Add gear based matchmaing to the queue. Instead of just a single cutoff, have it scale. Matchmaking will then try to find a group of players in a gear range and group them up so every dungeon has a mix of gear scores within that range and put them together. If lobbies aren't filling up, expand the range. So if there are only 9 people playing in the world you have Timmies and gods in the same lobby but otherwise you can expect a reasonable mix of players in your general gear score range. Since high roller would be gone, dynamically adjust the loot tables and enemy spawns based on the average gear score in the lobby.

Since true damage is no longer a thing, Slayer Fighters are not good anymore. The Slayer perk should be changed from 5 weapon damage to 5 true damage.
Love the state of the game just would like something that regroup players a bit more for more pvp, perhaps some map objectives and the extractions are a bit rough in duo would like some random portals towards end of game that are shown on map perhaps so it brings players together idk.

On the dark and darker wiki they have interactive maps you can select only extraction points and portals. Personally i throw on extraction points and heal shrines, and if im with a squad ill throw shrines of resurrection too

I'm sure this has been posted before -- but the mini-map needs major updating. If you go to a YT channel explaining how to extract you'll see like 50-80% of the comments are mentioning this was difficult for them and extremely unclear.
There's no explanation on how to extract when you start the game. That wouldn't be a big deal but the mini-map is incredibly small, the blue/red icons don't contrast well with the mini-map and are hard to see, and there's multiple escape methods not shown clearly on the mini-map.
You don't need to make a tutorial or explain it. All you need to do is make the blue/red icons easier to see. The easiest way to do that is to add UI scaling to the mini-map. Due to the mini-map being small it makes it harder to see the icons. Even with the poor color contrast if the mini-map was larger it'd automatically be easier to see. Allow up to 200% scaling or allow it to be simply dragged and expanded. Either works.
I would also recommend being able to change the color of the icons due to some people being color blind. However UI scaling alone would help them, the most important is UI scaling 100%.
Summary:
Add up to 200%+ mini-map UI scaling or allow to drag to increase/decrease size.
Allow option to customize mini-map icon colors due to color blindness and personal preference.
Make icons easier to see with contrast and resolution regardles of color.
Remove items becoming handled just from being bought on the marketplace, and re-posted on the marketplace. People selling things for way too low just to try to get money quicker, because they're incapable of delaying their gratification will destabilize the economy, and players should have the freedom to purchase those items, and re-sell them at the proper market price.

Would be cool for classes to be able to choose any usable weapon as starter gear (e.g. barbarians being able to choose felling axe, bardiche etc..). My question is, if it's not possible, is it because those weapons are always stronger than the ones available, thus not being able to be in the starter gear to not make the other options obsolete, or is there any other reason? I hate starting barb with a white battle axe and having a felling axe would make every barb's life easier at the beggining. Devs could also use this as a stat to track what weapons are chosen the most and potentially hint which ones need adjustments.

Honestly getting rid of the circle and everything in that update was pretty solid. The only thing I would say is maybe make the rounds last a little longer, just gives a more complete dungeon diving vibe that I have time to explore most of if not all of the map vs I have to rush through the rooms I am in because I only have 15 minutes. I think something around 20-25 minute rounds would feel pretty good.

Yeah the argument is null, Ice Caves had PvP you don't need Fortnite mechanics to force people to fight. They'll fight when they want to which is usually a few weeks after wipe. I think people been too used to the low pop hyper sweaty version of the game we've had for a while ever since the Devs scared off 80% of the playerbase. This is how it was before, every wipe PvP would be low because players would be super cautious and not want to take risks. And then a week or so into the wipe it'd start ramping up back to baseline.
ice caves had a gold pile center that drove pvp, this game isnt fun to a lot of people without forced pvp

I also like interactions with players in the Dungeon with voice chat, or prepare with my Friends for killing some bosses. But this things were always interrupted buy a forced PvP.
And if ppl is used to always ending up fighting with any team they see, they are defensive and dont interact with you they just attack first because traumas

You'll see that a LOT of people are still learning the very beginning of the game and die to the 2-3 first monster they see)

What if at a certain time during a round there was a circle that spawned in a random spot on the map where blue stone exits randomly appear in the radius
It would draw people to an area to fight over exits without railroading the whole lobby to the same spot and it would give some variety now that all exits are static
Also the raft exit is super OP either needs to do less laps or maybe just be useable once when undocked

What are yall's thoughts on every class getting a perk that activates on player kill? similar to Barbarian's Morale Boost
Rogue could have one that grants them a moment of invisibility, useful for getting away or chaining kills with ambush
Wizard could have one that grants them some spells back, for even more fireballs :)
Bard could have one that refreshes all of their active buffs, nice on its own but very powerful with shrines or buffs from teammates

Remove marketplace. Extraction game for gold and buy all gear? Seems contradictory to me. Knowing you can just buy back your gear on mrktplace makes you play more aggressive. I'd like to see more survivable loot extraction rather than kill all, get gold, buy gear.
Plus market manipulation is a real thing that will get worse with time.
I for one was someone who actually enjoyed the chaotic feed of offers that was the trade chat so I didn't personally want the marketplace
that said, I do think it makes the whole trading process so much more appealing for a large number of people
I feel that if the marketplace were to be removed, there would need to be a better use for high value gear that someone doesn't intend to use as well as the mountains of gold people gather
trade chat isn't for everyone and such people would find very little use for their gold and superfluous items

Have druid return to human form upon death. Too many times do they die after turning into rats and it becomes an impossible task to find them especially chaotic fights like trios they're strong enough as it is they shouldn't be rewards by being unable to lose equipment because the body is impossible to find.

Market place is fine as it is, as the player base grows (esp with how fast it's growing right now, controversy or not), a marketplace like system is necessary. Or do you want to spend 70 hours of gameplay for 3 pieces of BIS and 20 pieces of magical healing as a fighter? And as I said with the community growing the original trade chat just won't work as well the more it grows.

Please do something to either explain, or better visually represent when a static extract has been taken. I'm getting second hand frustration when I see new players trying to extract through a static that has already been taken. This is particularly bad on the ice map. This is a great point. Gear score is shown, but there is absolutely zero context given unless you leave the game and seek this information elsewhere.
The game should ideally have some kind of intro/tutorial/basic mechanics/glossary, etc.. built in, but the devs are focusing their efforts elsewhere. I fervently believe they should be focusing on the new player experience(And a teabag emote). Maybe we as a community need to help by creating a new player document or something... idk. The Dark and Darker Wiki's beginners guide is very lacking imo and any game that has you go to a 3rd party to learn **extreme **basics is doing something wrong. Player count is great right now, but I am very curious what retention is going to look like.
I do not think that providing information to new players is going to ruin or lessen the hardcore and punishing nature of the game. Dark and Darker will still be difficult and require a certain amount of kinetic experience to fully understand. Will new players stick it out long enough to learn everything or get frustrated and stop because they keep getting stomped

Please make changes to make at least duo bossing possible and less unforgiving, I understand that near the beginning of the game, these bosses were only meant to be fought with 3 people, since then, the state of the game has brought about duos, solo's, and of course map rotations. For example, the Lich's purple circle, if you are a duo, it deals more damage and this is unavoidable, and if you're a solo, 90% of your hp is gone with this one unavoidable attack, (since you can't run out of the room without resetting on solo) so good luck if you're not cleric. This is obviously the main example, but other changes could be implemented as well, such as reducing the health of the boss minimally, (I still want it to be hard) this can also be a temporary change if this is not the final state of maps.
They need to make it more clear on whether or not an extraction has been taken. either gray the marker on the map or just remove the marker entirely
I think that is the risk of it though. @orchid magnet I think adding a slot would be better and I don't think it would ever be a good idea to make the full game free (Even if it took a couple weeks of farming)

The new extraction system (static) is just a gameplay downgrade from the playtests (ring closing and random spawns). The old system forced movement and more dynamic matches from a natural tension to trying to not only effieciently clear mobs but defend your portion of the ring. having your rooms of control being overtaken by the ring put you in a tense and uncomfortable but very fun situation of having to open new doors and push towards sound or risk being zoned out.
The current system atleast in this current direct state rewards finding a static exit and just exploring around it until the earliest possible time to leave. pushing your luck or trying to find other players, which is very difficult without a ring corralling people, just results in you being unable to find any available exits even if you were successful in everything up until then.
The focus of this game is definitely similar to tarkov but the action gameplay is totally different than midrange gun battles, the static exits work when there are open sightlines and viable and consistent ranged threats at all times. it does not work in a more gritty melee and team oriented setting which DnD does very well, it did not need to take the extraction system directly from its inspiration.

the killing quests i do personally find atleast more interesting than "find me 5 camps" they could expand that idea to even having bosses be a t3 quest, kill 1 player of each class in ruins, kill 5 goblins using traps. something that expands on a solid foundation rather than a sacrifice 1 for the other

my favourite change in the entire history of the game was removing the zone, i didnt like the constant stress of having to manage that with everything else, i think the kill mob quests are the weakest quests, i think they’d be better expanding on the current version and adding unique quest items to find and extract with
the forced movement from the zone made it harder to learn the maps as a noob because you couldnt freely explore as much, couldnt decide to fight new enemies at your own pace depending on the zone and your spawn you might have been just forced to go die to something because its blocking your way to safety, if you ran into a super juicer with a minmaxed kit and he was inbetween you and the zone unless you had a ton of heals you were just dead, it was super unforgiving for people who want to play the game casually

Have a suggestion. I think it would be cool if we had a system where we can create a permadeath character but he can actually level up stat points and his skills as you survive and maybe even get certain titles based on the build. Drawback being you lose the character and all the progression when you die with him.
What if every class had access to a few basic attacks such as a kick or a jab as in chivalry 2. Something that can either break blocks or allow you to attack quickly for a few damage without sheathing your weapon.
bear 10000% needs a nerf on druids. Kinda crazy to deal 80% of my hp in 1 shot with 65% pdr. 156 hp fighter

LMAO, you have to be jorking. Their main attacks don't scale hard and do 20 for "fast swings" and 40 for the heavy attack.... that's literally 20 damage under the basic weapon they get.
They scale with stats and do can endup doing massive damage like that. They indeed need a nerf

i kinda get your problem. For me I wouldnt say its a problem of dark and darker itself. More it is a problem of the modern internet. The main "ressource" for the most games these days are the Discord servers and not Forums like in the past. In Forums you could have had organized Threads with new beginner guides sticked to the top. Discord mostly has large discussion threads with nearly zero information for new players. It is a nice way to get groups and find other players and directly voice chat with them. I know Forums had shitty behaviour too and people opened new threads instead of searching for a minute. But in the end we all could get some at least little organized information for people in the future

I have a suggestion for overhauling trading
Instead of setting a price point for your items you will put it up for auction, starting price is the same as selling to merchants. Then players can place bids on the item, locking in their gold. If the time runs out before the next bid it's sold for that price. The seller can pay to increase the time between bids which is 1 hour (or some fitting time frame) by default. Auction increments can also be changed or be a percentage of the current selling price, maybe 5-10%.
Advantages of the system
Less time spent in marketplace setting up prices
New players don't undersell
No instant items from marketplace into next dungeon, long term planning
Disadvantages (not sure about them myself)

I would love a PvE only rogue lite mode where the dungeon is randomly generated and goes on infinitely, with levels and increases in difficulty, and the possibility to leave at the end of each level.
A Black Ops 1 Zombies inspired game mode would work too, a big map with mobs and once you've cleared all of them you move on the next round and more mobs respawn with increased difficulty.
I guess what I'm saying is a cool PvE only mode would be nice, offline or co-op

Make the timer for rotation 30 seconds, it would be nice not having to wait 6 minutes before your favourite map is up
Fighters are supposed to use a crossbow or a bow to deal with rangers, not run at them and hope for the best lol. You're one of the few tanky classes that actually has access to those tools, so use them. Barb? Basically nothing. Druid? No real ranged ability, needs to close with rat or panther and risks getting shot up. Plate-lock? Medium-ranged at best, gets easily outranged by a good Ranger. Cleric? Medium range again at best, but at least they can heal through it a little.
Its a cool idea but i dont think this is the Game for It. Maybe when the extraction/Dungeon crawler aspect of the Game is more polished so It doesnt splits the community and make main mode worst, but even at that point there are many other aspect to upgrade before putting resources in it. After all other flaws of the game are solved then i wouldnt care if the devs find a natural and inmersive way to integrate it in the extraction/Dungeon crawler ecosystem.
To be honest the way the game is right now is the best it's ever been. I think this is as close to a perfect middle ground as we're going to get with regards to map selection.

This would make it a powerful offensive speed boost but removes it's usefulness as a retreating tool, making it less flexible than before
You could get the +50 movespeed like before with something like the Warmaul or Falchion+Hand Crossbow but most loadouts would get closer to ~40 movespeed out of the skill depending on what exactly they have equipped
all in all, this change would still grant a massive boon with your footwork, but given you can get the same speed boost by putting your weapon away it doesn't let the fighter go faster than they should be able to, just that they can have their weapons out while they go that fast

especially in a fight, some weapons pull out relatively slow, so being able to keep them out even when the enemy starts to run incase they double back would be useful

It's a ranged skirmish only with Rangers, really. You finish them with ranged and you rely on your armor. If they run particularly early that's just how it is - I wouldn't bother chasing them. You're not always supposed to be able to catch someone.

I feel you. My boyfriend is displeased as well spending that money when now f2p players are getting access to the market even in limited way. The gaming loop once you have HR doesn't change at all. Yes, as f2p you cannot sell items but you can buy whatever you want.
HR is only stronger mobs with different colour.. it's not like you get access to new content - new mobs, new challenges to overcome. It takes just a little bit to go from normals to HR and as already stated the game loop is the same.
There's numerous things you get for being legendary still, but either way I would suggest strongly considering how much better the game is because of the influx of f2p players. A wider, and ultimately more casual audience for the game is better for everyone at softening the impact of ultra-geared monsters running around, and it really was pay to win before.
HR is really not just a different colour. It's signfiicantly better loot with access to legendaries dropping relatively easily.

I understand that you advocate for these changes and I get your point completely. I love Ironmace and this game however you can not say that for this price tag it's fair price to upgrade and get the same mobs with recolor, no new maps or content.
Yes you get all character slots, shared stash and ability to sell items.
All those rewards (cosmetics) in HR you have to play for, grind for.
It's something you achieve when you try-hard. It should not be associated with you buying the game since you don't have immediately access to that and might not have the time to grind for it.
And due to all these facts I don't believe the price for 'full-game' is justified since you don't get that much in return and I would like Ironmace to give us, the long-supporters more than just measly full-size shared stash.
They have everything now except char slots, shared stash, selling on market and a harder mode for sweat heads with same maps and recolored harder enemies.
What legendary mode is right now is a very, very generous season pass where you get all seasons going forward on top of the best loot in the game. The price isn't very steep on a comparitive basis to other games. To be honest, the amount of gameplay I have gotten out of this game is so high, that even at purchase I felt like I'd already long since got my hour-value out of what I played when it was still a free test, and that's only grown since it was released.

Well you're paying for the right to gamble with more of your loot for greater reward. That's technically pay to win. But I think it's completely acceptable.
It's not a guarantee, you still have to be good enough to survive HR hell to get a chance at legendaries.

I think this is the best possible middle-ground. I don't see any tangible way of making the game a full f2p that doesn't involve telling the legendaries "your money matters less than an f2p economy"
The most feasible would be to later down the line create HR maps/mobs only for legendary edition people.
And for the record, I don't want the game to be full p2play. I strongly think the game will be healthier with a casual audience base that can play without paying and actually get something out of the game. However I would not be completely opposed to full f2p - I just don't think it would satisfy everyone, whereas all f2p concerns are basically dealt with at the moment and legendaries do still get something very meaningful.
However the way they worded that patch definitely implies they're cooking up something in future for legendaries, so I don't think you should be too worried about there not being anything else. I doubt they would lock maps to legendaries only though. The whole point is to fluff up the player base, and that would just make a bubble where everyone's a legendary again.
I want to disclaim that I also really love this game and bought it more than 8months ago and love the changes and everything.
I just feel like pushing for these changes, which I ultimately feel are really good, kind of make legendary status players feel like p2w sweaters instead of getting something which is completely different from normals not available unless you pay for it. As I stated there is not that huge difference in gameplay once you are legendary status. I would even say that it's almost the same, you have only higher loot and stronger enemies, which are the same! only maybe more moves and dmg with recolour

The goblins are just not fit for being a level 2 enemy either way. They're not dangerous enough which means they'd need to put all the gobbos in level 1 basically. But they don't really fit that aesthetic.
It would turn into a really big overhaul for one of those maps at least.

That's a big ask for not much payout is what I mean. Why essentially cut the goblin caves entirely when it's fine? If they do that they need to find another enemy roster that works there.
And it means they have to redo an animation set, which they already have functional on a map. I doubt they would do that.

I don’t want the official to keep pushing the bottom line of paying players. I am positive about the opening of rare equipment in the ng market. But today you informed us that the market is open to free players to purchase. I don’t want it to be open to sales in the future. Permissions, and to be honest, if you give us more capacity in the common warehouse for paying players, I hope that there will be more substantial compensation for paying players.

I don't think that's a fix for players abstaining from player interaction. It's obvious that sometimes the best loot is from other players yet people still avoid PVP.
I don't think loot would entice players to change their playstyles. In a high risk extraction fps, they've simply found how to reduce the level of risk to a minimum and that's why they do it.
Aswell, I think many of the hidden squads that no one finds are most likely new players that only move around a room or two. Most of them would be unaware if the loot pool was changed based on location.

Yeah more character slots wouldn't help. If the issue is that they cannot experience all the classes without losing progress on characters (by deleting them). The issue will persist because still, 2 character slots isn't enough to try out all the classes without losing progress.

Solo exits make the game feels just bad when playing with friends.
It creates toxic behaviour. In-team fighting. solo vs 3 experience at times while queuing 3v3 etc.
You feel bad if you take it "first" and skip playing the game etc. so even if you are the lucky one it still feels bad and makes you play game less.

I know others have mentioned this, and after getting a couple more games in myself, I agree that high roller duration should be extended slightly to help compensate for increased number of nightmare mobs. High roller solo that is, dunno how it feels during team play.
here's something you should change when you get into a group and they are a different region once you leave you shouldn't auto be switching to the region they had it on you should be sticking with the one you originally had it

I heard a lot of requests for PVE mode, to simply clear the dungeon and be able to go out more safely in colored clothes, study mobs and bosses. but in this case you will need a separate mode, that is, either a separate character or a separate inventory and storage. to exclude the removal of items from PVE mode to PVPVE. I mean a mode where you are alone, duo or trio, but without other players. in this way you can relieve the servers a little, because many people will just want to play and learn tactics without other players

Hey I got a suggestion for you @keen onyx Why don't we fix the goblin merchants Dungeon Recovery service. As it stands now it is basically useless.
First The cost of recovering gear is far too high. The goblin charges merchant prices, which unless the gear recovered is BIS, it will be cheaper to just buy replacement gear from the market, like way cheaper. And even then, you are almost never going to even be offered your BIS gear back, because that is the stuff people are most likely to take. Go and try it sometime, try and buyback some greens or blues or purples Gobo recovered and you will see it isn't worth it.
Second, The items are only available for like an hour. Now maybe I am different than other players, but after I lose a run, I usually just go next unless it is my last run of the night, in which case I want to log off, not play around in the menu; Especially if it was a loss. So Why isn't goblin holding my gear until tomorrow. In tarkov Prapor will hold the stuff for like 2 days.

Since every Bards currently are ignoring all their skills and only bringing two spell casts, one way to buff Bard's Encore skill: instead of just playing perfect music at max speed, Encore will play perfect music of your choice at max speed regardless of items you are currently holding and it automatically switches to that instruments and switches back after the music ends.

Armor and some weapon reduce less your move speed now. For exemple Plant pant was -15 ms and now it's -9 ms. Same for some weapon, Bardiche was -45 and now -40. And that benefit more to class with heavy/medium gear

This would be a massive QoL feature that would encourage more PvP with an incentive to down portal. Also, this system would work perfectly with the planned "layered" dungeon path Ruins > Crypts > Inferno.
I am aware the devs have discussed plans for a dungeon loot deposit system in the past. This is just my take on how such a system could be implemented thematically and with D&D's game flow and balance in mind.

For the escape : #q-and-a message The earthquake is the new system that replace the zone (It's a frost wave in Frost cavern and a Bug sward in Crypt). Around 5-4 min left in a the game a first wave start, except sound or visual effect it does nothing. When the timer hit 1min 20 left a second wave start, this time you'll take damage every few second. And at 10 second left you'll start to take a lot of damage every second. At 0 you die. It work the same for every map except Frost cavern where you have a slow effect on top of damage

I find it frustrating that the circumstances must be just right to attempt the wyvern. Maybe make starting the fight possible with less players by allowing player souls to be used to deactivate statues. Soul griefing could be mitigated by requiring a full team to be dead for their souls to be lootable by other teams.

leaving early leaving your buddy alone eventho you enlisted for a multiple ppl experience, feeling bad for leaving early, having a decision who takes the exit, backtracking sometimes bc you wanted to help someone to get to the 2nd solo exit.

You are making some teams a walking loot piniatas for stumbling 3v1 fights when 2 of your buddies exited, you feel punished for helping your friends to exit but dieing due to not skill but being friendly. Punishing for being friendly and team playing... is a big big no no in my book.
it also promotes ratting. going solo into duos/trios is very common, this makes solo exits even worse as you cant realy exit as a party due to solo players running rampant everywhere.
In my opinion you should be able to exit as a team via stairs under like 2-3s "extract" window maybe with some enemy exiting with you prevention?

i think you got to update your blocking mechanics experiences I've had myself and also what I've watched on YouTube weapons fazing through swords when in defense stance when parrying it doesn't make sense when 2 weapons that are suppose to collide don't and they faze through each other its stupid you have to aim at a certain point on the weapon to block or parry how ridicule's is that yall gotta fix the fazing through weapons add real life physics to the weapons your almost there but not quite when weapons go through one another ive seen so many times trying to parry a goblin and its weapons goes through your sword and hits you like bruh
Yes and no, the game is PvEvP. It never meant to be half a BR, the zone always have been a place holder to system like we have now. The game is a dungeon crawler with PvP, people who don't want to fight shoudln't be force to by a zone

Imo, well first objectiv on the map is the answer to a lot of problem in the game. Then for PvE make the monster spawn more randomly will be a good move, because it will make different situation in every game

The game really sucks now, without a zone closing everyone is just camping by the port they spawn by, grabbing loot around it and leaving. This game has turned into a full pve experience. I run around the map and have a very hard time finding all these pve players

Yeah the game is constantly evolving, it just really sucks to want to pvp and there is none to be found. The circle closing was the best part of the game. Even in high roller solos people are looting and porting right by where they spawn
damn they didnt even make guilds a major focus but that would be hype asf. wouldn't even need to be player made guilds like in WoW or other MMOs. Could be sick to have like 5 different Iron mace made factions with different benefits and motives that you are rewarded for following but also disrupting other factions motives. (merchants guild - farm gold, fighters guild - kill people, magic guild - casting more pacifist fighting guild, thieves guild - loot and avoid conflict, dwellers - focused on descension pvp, solo guild - made for solos a mix of all 5)
