Perfect, thanks man!! I upvoted it for sure. Definitely a good thread to vote on. Let’s hope for the best, been playing since play test and really don’t want this game to die. It’s an awesome game I’ve been waiting for a long time. Hopefully the devs can take our suggestions and implement into the game.

What about they put back Ruin with red portal that lead to ice cavern or goblin cave? Like Ruin but snowy or with one or two module that are snowy. Or with a module where goblin have reached the surface and put up a camp?
If feel like GC and Ice cavern miss a Hell equivalent or could be one to a map like Ruin

You both dislike the idea of having Set-Bonus.
What is when the bonus is only for PvE?
Like:
2: 5% more damage against (beast/undead/demon)
4: 10 luck
6: monster in radius have less action speed by 5%
(Don't take the bonus seriously, only a example
Maybe the attributes can be in general be split by PvE and pvp.
The random attributes are for PvE and the attributes itself with are fixed like the AGI on laced turnshoes and the mag heal on occultist hood are for pvp.
Ruins could be 1st level of every other maps
Yes but the problem is that when they did the Ruin -> Crypt -> Hell it was cool because new but a bit too much i think because you can't loot it all, the inventory is not made for that. And game were a bit too long, i like that they're a bit short. And i'm saying GC and Ice cavern miss a 1st or 2nd floor because they're is less way to have loot or even AP on those two map
Weird when i run with my 300 luck bard i noticed an icrease in drop rate from wolf pelt. Might just be a constant coincidence

I suggest not adding more classes after druid and first getting talent trees out there for all existing classes so the progression feels right.
Personally I think Sorcerer is not needed and can just be a wizard subclass or just a few talent choices focusing on damage. In my opinion it overlaps too much with what we already have and it is better to have Wizard and Warlock with more depth and spell choice.
they should have left MC in until they either have clear vision on what they want to do with this game or learn how to balance the game, imo i think its better that everyone can get the op perks and abilities that have not been nerfed properly than only some classes
me 5 years later still waiting for sorcerer It's my favorite class to play in DnD, just don't know how they would flavor it in this game

I think the big thing differentiating sorc in dnd is the charisma casting stat, not sure how that critical aspect would transfer here. So I feel the difference wouldn't be enough unless it really played meaningfully different via a different casting system for example, that worked with warlock at least.
I do not think its a good idea to simply make one a utility caster and other the blaster. First of all because it would lead to destroying the current Wizard which is very fun, and second because I think the magic system as it is for Wizards is mainly interesting because you're weighing whether you want to bring damage or utility spells. Lastly, it makes the classes more one dimensional while I think we should be giving them more depth.
They talked a bit about what they learned about this test with MC and what they'll do with it in the future (In the patchnote of hotfix 45). And I feel like they already have an idea of what to do with MC and maybe we'll get some new about it faster than we though.
I wonder what will be added with the next wipe/patch, any idea? Probably Druid but a new version of MC could be cool (since the beginning of the season this time)
I'd like to see cantrips added to the game like a lesser version of zap that never runs out so you don't have to rest after every mob. Maybe we'll see a first iteration with Sorc. Also would be cool to see Dragonborn race alongside a release of a dragonblood sorc? 👀

what if instead of magic dmg spellbooks gave knowledge and magic staffs give magic pen kinda like the maces do cause there slower. and crystal balls become the flat dmg maybe druid staffs become magic healing ones
i feel like there needs to be some comp for facing against hackers that later get banned. My trio played 3 games yesterday, lost like 30k each on kits (pretty much all my gold lol) then every trio we died to gets banned (triple ranger, triple warlock, one actual team comp)

Wizard will probably share a spell list with Sorcerer, with different perks & resources for spellcasting. Sorc should be much less technically challenging than all the new crap they had to make for druid.
Sorcerer is going to take the majority of the damage spells from wizard and just become a dedicated magic dmg dealer whilst wizard gains more utility spells and becomes a support magic user that can do a bunch of random crap
This would be terrible for the game. It would simultaneously ruin the Wizard and defeat the purpose of spell selection within the magic system. There's no point choosing spells unless you can make meaningful choices between utility and damage.

Imo they should go for the warlock approach and create a new type of casting and new spells altogether, maybe sharing a few with wizard if needed. They shouldn't gut a class to create another

In D&D Sorcerer and Wizard have different resource pulls for their spells, and that'll probably be the same here. Wizard probably won't lose the damage spells, they'll just share parts (or all) of the spell pool between them. The perks & the resources spent on spells are most likely to be the big differences.
Sorcerer will probably have a steeper knowledge cost on spells and have a much harder time doing 10 spell like Wizard does. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Sorcerer something metamagic so you can enhance damage spells at the cost of more resources.
Wizard = wide variety of spells, limited # of casts per spell
Sorcerer = limited spell selection, but can put more force behind individual spells
I would love if they added a hell boss that wasn't just "You made a mistake, you're now dead/critically wounded so you're unable to continue the fight.". It takes you 10 minutes to get to the boss and you instantly die, it makes it a very unwelcoming experience. I know all bosses comfortably, but warlord is still a nightmare for most players. Why not just significantly lower boss damage in normals, but increase HP a bit to make the fights a little longer. Normals should be where you learn bosses, and Highroller is where you show off you've perfected them. But really it just lets casuals in, so many people I know don't do bossing and haven't beaten Ghost King or Lich, let alone Warlord.
Side note, I don't like the idea of any boss you can't beat the first time you see him with no outside information. I feel like it's bad game design that the game didn't give you the opportunity to win. (This is referring to Ghost King.)

I think its good, makes the bosses a real challenge to have to overcome. They are also all designed to be fought as a party of 3.
The highroller boss would be the challenge, they have a few more tricks up their sleeves that honestly feel like good additions after you feel comfortable with the norms variants. Just saying give them less damage so literal bad players can experience them.
i havent killed any of them before, however that's prob cause i mostly play duos and don't have a good trio. also I hate wasting time playing normals when i could be killing troll or farming ap on ice cavern lol

Also its not rewarding at all. I have killed like 80 hr bosses so far and we never got anything good nor decent. The time it takes for u to wipe lobby every game and then procceed to kill boss Just to get nothing is pretty sad. Obvs we skip warlord as most ppl do since we dont have a setup for it.
TLDR: its not worth killing the hr inferno bosses over like troll/cyclop or looting gold chests in inferno and probably its even better to loot gold/lion chests on any map rather than bossing
I'd be more than OK with PvE bonuses on gear in general. The gap between equipment tier is big enough already, when you add into account all the stat bonuses they have, then add the enchantment bonuses on top, you end up as we are - absolutely unbalanced PvP AND PvE situation, when some classes become absolutely unkillable. Maybe if swarmed, then they die. Warlocks will just ghost themselves out, though... The thing is, the game already prioritizes equipment possession over skill expression. Which is ALWAYS bad in any kind of game with PvP.
Well the prioritization of gear is due to the fact that gear is he primary driving factor to play the game, so you need to continue to make gear feel important to gather or setup while also tuning dmg to a point where skill expression is valued in a fight while also still respecting the power of gear
If gear feels like it has no value because the game is 80% skill then what’s the point in gathering good gear you know? That being said the gap between gear as it currently stands is obviously too large
There's a clear line between making gear IMPORTANT and OVER PRIORITIZED. I've already told many times here how to make the game loop with gear being balanced and important, but without being broken for PvP, if they really want to make the game a dungeon crawling multiplayer adventure, as they did at the start. No, it wasn't on their suggestion site. I have few suggestions there, but not this one. Because it was more like an idea, than an actual suggestion. Here's the link for it. TLDR is making gear desirable, while encouraging both PvP and PvE at the same time using gear score(!!!). HR can be also easily modified in that same way.

anyone know if they are still going to do the character progession with different aspects to select, or a system like tarkov, where running around increases your speed, sneakingg increases your sneak, and so on? just doing regular things for long enough increases those things?
Though this is the worst way to ask.. Removing creep would be nice. It's just not fun to be third partied by a team that sneaks up on you. Should be a rogue exclusive and leaned into to pull the direction of Rogue away from invis.

Dude, have you played in the higher gear score (300+) lobby? It’s nuts. Nothing is cleared but the module a team spawns in. The lobbies are eerily quiet and everyone creeps everywhere. Everyone looks for a fight to their advantage, and if they don’t get that fight, they retreat to their spawn module, reset and creep again.
It makes higher gear lobbies incredibly frustrating and full of third parties.
They have already stated. that it will be (most likely) back, but in a better way.

In the way it COULD be made - no. Multiclass could make it better. Anytime player receives more agency over his character is good.
Remove some of the PVP multipliers (additional phys damage, additional magic damage, phys power, magic power, etc) and replace them with PVE multipliers ( undead dmg bonus, insect damage bonus, beast damage bonus) to ensure that every item does not become overpowered will still providing a little utility.
they should make named items for other rarities, like legendary and epic items, not as good as named, but cool rare drops we can still find even if not through bossing. example, (i dont expect other rarities for fulgot but) since fulgor does 20 magi dam at mythic, legendary scales to 10, and epic to 5, just an example of what i mean by scaling

Hey guys, I really love this game very much but I think it could be even much more amazing than it already is. I am genuinely so enamored with this game that I just feel the need to share these suggestions. Thank you for having this place for that.
1.) The biggest thing I would like to see is an Attack and Defend game mode, which could be competitive AF! but I think that if you introduced this game mode, I would probably play this game constantly!
2.) The second thing is: the ability to set keybinds to spells/some way to bypass the radial menu. Not that it's a huge gripe, but I just like keybinds more. You might have a reason why not to do that idk, just my 2 cents.
3.) The last thing: The player body-clipping with monsters. Sometimes, as a rogue bunny-hopping constantly, I jump into a spot that gets me stuck between a monster and a wall, and it's just very frustrating when I am completely unable to move because of this. Perhaps a 2 second clip, and then no clip so I can move through the monster in such an event? I don't know the answer here.
Keep up the great work! Thank you for undertaking this much-needed project! Also I really want to kiss whoever is in charge of the map design so far. Huge win! Don't ever change!
Seriously I would pay for another support package for Team Attack and Defend game mode with this gameplay. hnnnghnghnghnghn
i agree with #3, getting stuck between monsters and sometimes not being able to do anything isnt difficult, its just not fun

remove warlock
Creep should make a slight audio cue detectable within like 6-10 ft or so imo. This way you can use it but you also can’t walk up right behind someone and clobber them in the head.
Add a Connection Quality to the servers (Poor, Good, Excellent) to be able to see how well you connect to each server.
I know this will get flamed, but show a server population(Low, Medium, High) for those who aren’t excelling at PVP or those who want to find fights can choose higher population servers.
When you are killed in High Roller it should tell you what or who you were killed by.
Make phantomize cooldown significantly longer in solos it makes warlock have such a small window of being killable, nerf the way that true damage scales on smaller weapons/projectiles/throwables, make it so hyrda can only heal for the amount you lost casting it, like if it takes 10% of your hp you can only get 10% back from it
That may be too much nerf but the warlock do be really strong. Your idea for the hydra is interesting but maybe you could like make the hydra take double damage on warlock spell so it die faster and you can heal less on it (you can still get back full heal but it'll take longer)
Biggest problem with this is that because warlock has a small hp pool u need to have some way to get hp back for ur spells and if u remove the healing you can get from hydra life drain the only viable playstyle will be TM. It might make warlock more balanced but then you won’t be able to experiment with warlock because TM will be so much better than any other build (more than it already is)
In wich way does warlock have a small hp pool? He start with 14 vigor it's more than most other class no? (Only barb and fighter have more actually)
Except for the fact that warlock starts with like 0 knowledge. U can’t invest in hp when you need to build for knowledge/ms/ magic damage in some form/ and then u can look for hp
Yeah right but i feel like other damage class don't really go for hp too, so warlock don't have a lot of hp but he don't really have less than other

I mean I feel like it’s night and day. When I build my warlock kits the max hp I can get to without sacrificing too much anywhere else is around 110-115. In comparison most Pdr fighters and barbs have at minimum 150+ hp. Granted those classes are built for it but when you take into account that warlock’s hp is a resource used for casting and that you are really never gonna be at 100% hp as a warlock when you take a hit warlocks are one of if not the most squishy in the game.
I hear you but, there is rogue and ranger who are fast but more squishy. And warlock do heal with the spell so yeah it have low hp in the way you can get one/two shoted. But if you manage to temporize just a bit hit the healing spell with have virtually way more max hp. But i get that in this full speed barb meta warlock may feel squishy
Yeah I hear what you are saying ( a lot of people are mad about warlock). The biggest thing is that warlock can reset their ho very quickly and the problem most people have when fighting a warlock is letting them reset and trying to fight when they are 50-75% hp and the warlock is 100% because they had the opportunity to reset. I think warlock needs some small changes to help balance but I don’t think that should be nerfs because as it is players that realize that letting a warlock run is the same as letting a warlock heal to full have a good chance if they keep the pressure on. Especially if it’s a hydra life drain warlock because they can’t move while healing like TM
Ok ok you got me i'm convinced xD I may have seen to much spellbook warlock kitting and just eating your hp slowly (And the initial comment do have a great point, Phantomize is a really good asset)
Yeah I get it. Playing against a warlock that just runs away can be super annoying because it feels unwinable but at the same time warlock can’t really play any other way rn. Phantomize might need a nerf to the cooldown but I hope they don’t make its attributes worse because against a rogue or a fighter with sprint they can just run after ur phantomize and there isn’t much u can do.
Are any game modes in suggestion or being looked at BESIDES the battle royale mode? Just curious. I think it would help the game life

A god shrine: a one time use random spawn special shrine that gives the player a God buff and makes them glow gold. (Nothing too OP maybe it gives you like +3 all attributes) the downside would be your location would then be visible to all players on the minimap and compass. And whoever kills you can pick up the buff"
Maybe there not all good too pick but it would be nice to a more interest point in our game

hello im suggesting to nerf bear traps.
Reason:
1.it can be place and overlapping with the corpses.
cant be interact. so you cant remove the trap , you cant also remove the trap once you step on it since it inside a corpses.

you could have 2 rangers with 20 traps making getting in a room almost impossible
put it on a door? just jump over it ? just put another one in front of it now its imposible to jump.
if you play a map with a closing zone like a crypt or goblin cave some room cant be ignore because of zone , making rushing some room is a must. -

Map: Get rid of the minimap as it favors experienced players over new ones. The minimap also reduces in game immersion. Add a map button. The player then has a brief animation followed by a larger map being displayed over their screen. They could still walk.
Other players could then see a player holding a map; signaling that player may be unawares. The map would interact with lighting unlike the minimap. No longer would experienced players use the minimap to navigate pitch black (increasing immersion and a hardcore feeling) but instead rely on torch light to actually see the map in their hands
This would increase immersion and the hardcore feeling Dark and Darker presents to new players. This would allow new interactions between players and their environment.

Yes I think a clip is needed to actually ban someone, only report are not enough. I guess you can use somethin like Geforce Exeperience to get a clip of the last X minute. And if i'm right amd have the same kind of thing

Yes it would be awesome but I guess it ask some more server or stuff like that and i'm not sure it's a priority right now. They're not a big team and there is more important stuff to add to the game right now imo, a replay systeme would be a good QOL addition tho

They need to force the pvp by making less portals and only in the end zones, I keep seeing 3 players running around with each other in solos

Will less portable will just doomed people since the start. You may be a really good player and win your fight, if you are unlucky and your fight took a bit long because the ennemy was good too, people might don't have portal because none poped near them and they're all taken by people who just didn't fight at all but rushed portal as soon they hear them or got one spawned right in front of them
that's why I think they should only pop later in the map time and only in the circle. So when you are done with your fight you will have higher chances of finding one, there is always the last portal that spawns on the finally close

dumb idea and super gimmicky but what if IronMace implemented event weekends/days to increase player count during smaller times? Ex: Double AP/Merchant Gold/Luck week or something
Can I suggest that there is never a quest to "take no damage" in a dungeon ever again. I'm literally afk watching videos while sitting on the outside of the ring. I am forced to not play the game, it's not fun.

I've tried it like 2 day ago, you don't get the bonus armor of barricade or bonus move speed of shield mastery while in the animation of Shield Slam. So no it doesn't. What you do get is the +10% action speed and move speed for 3 sec after a block from the other perk. But you don't get the 10% move speed while in defensive stance or the 50% action speed after a block of the shield mastery perk. So no it does not, using shield slam does not give you the defensive stance when you use it

Let Lizards/new race skins have the ability to stick to walls. - I saw the druids panther will be able to jump off of walls so i thought this could be done similar to a character race. Of course taking any damage will result in falling off the wall, even just getting hit with a torch.
Put back Ruins and make it a first floor map that lead to Goblin Cave. Maybe with like a middle module on Ruins where goblin have reached the surface and put up a camp with a Hobgolin mini boss (Maybe a a bigger/harder module than usual, with 2 floor, like there is in GC, i don't remember Ruins having a lot of outside/underground module) ? With a fix acces to GC that you can take early if you manage to clear the room and allow you to start in the 2nd floor with a head start of like 1 min compared to the other. That could result in a HR version of GC like Hell for crypt with way more nightmare goblin. 3x3 map of GC already exist too (Even if imo the two boss + middle room if they both dead should stay even on a small map)

In order for people to use 3 layers of a map. You need more people. As it stands there aren't enough to last all 3 floors and still see ppl on the third. Generally when we've had 3 layer maps. We get no one past the 2nd layer. Too much loot and dmg have already been acquired to go down again. Just makes more sense to get out

Yes that's true for goblin they're supposed to be week. And for the "not physically possible" i understand but that won't be the first thing you can do in DnD that like that like I mean, if you make a big slide with you mouse at the end of the spear thrust (the 1st hit) you can hit multiple ennemie with it. Or you can spin at the very end of a war maul hit to hit 360° around you. Yes it may be physically possible for some move but it's still not logical at all

Need an accept all quest button, it is quite annoying to have to go through every merchant every time you make a new character.
This game needs cantrips for the spellcasting classes designed to help them navigate the dungeon and clear mobs while being ineffective against enemy players in comparison to your actual spells. Like they might do tickle damage but would be more effective than a Wizard trying to use a quarterstaff against a Barbarian.

Love the game, but this is two very very frustrating days in a row of honestly poor decisions from leadership. The biggest gripe right now, IMO, that is justified is 1-2 weeks to unlock cosmetics. These could have been teased even if only one was ready to build hype, but that did not happen. Now after giving everyone a stressful time crunch to earn cosmetics, there have been several issues preventing people from playing. Unacceptable. Extend the time to earn cosmetics for quest/season. That is the only way to rebuild any good will

One could add a bonus to both existing and new armors that, when combined as a set, provide additional benefits. For example, with the Golden Armor set:
2 pieces: +10 luck
4 pieces: No need for lockpicks

@dawn grotto Would absolutely love if you removed creep and just kept it within rogue as a perk, added more locations to maps , bigger variety of foes and i was also thinking of friendly mobs that would for example give you buffs or offer you something for something like villagers in minecraft. And i think when i say this i speak for majority of players , we need ruins back , it was without a doubt best map in the game. We understand that its hard to do so many things in short time but if you lay down unnecessary promises about patches that are coming in the future you will have much more time for things that are important.

I got a highdea guys, what if they just revamp the level/skill/armor system entirely and replicate runescapes leveling model with a base character who can choose to level their magic level, healthpoints, range, and/or melle depending on how much they play to develop that class. armor is all flat based on the rarity just like how there is bronze, iron, addy, mithril, etc and is wearable/unlockable when they level up their hp for armor and the skill class (range, melle, and mage) for the stronger weapon types. I think this could allow a healthier merge of "multiclass" while allowing people to choose the flavor that they like in theory. Also I think it would be cool to change the questing system to make it more immersive with the dungeons like running into a random roaming goblin merchant in the goblin cave that talks to you and sells you good gear at a high price so it incentivizes people to bring tons of gold for even spicier pvp interactions. Or the tavern master merchant in the tavern loading lobby etc. Once again, just a highdea and Im open to constructive criticism

I personally have no interest in the current gatekept tournament today. If we allow the ability for anyone to participate this will not only attract the verteran players to return but for new players to also participate and test their merit and positively impact the entire community as a WHOLE. We would be able to create a larger cash prize pool and having the entire community engaged.

Are you guys able to make scaling on abilities different when they are used against PvE(Monster AI) and PvP(Other players)?
Example: Wizard's Magic Missle has 100% scaling against PvE, but only 75% scaling against PvP(other players). I'm sure there are many other abilities that would benefit from this and would help balance.
Can Explosive Bottles have their damage brought back up based on their rarity please? When I was reading the patch notes on their nerf, I was surprised that their damage was scaling. Not having their damage scale was the correct adjustment, but nerfing their base damage was too much and they are worthless now.
Lastly, could you start utilizing polls and questionnaires when making some changes please? I think the vast majority of the players would like to see Creep removed so that it is a rogue-only thing.
Sitting to rest or placing a campfire cannot arrange items in the stash, the auto-fill feature to automatically change to health potions or other bandages has also been removed, Ironmace really wants this game to be a dead game.
There needs to be some kind of cooldown on heals or make them less effective the more they're being used. Feels impossible to beat an enemy constantly being healed if you don't also have a healer. Maybe they could add a page from league of legend's book with the Grievous Wounds that players can use a throwable splash potion or coat their weapon in it or something that makes healing less effective if someone has the effect on them

I saw an idea on Reddit for instead of multiclassing doing subclasses like real dnd. Take the idea of multiclassing but make it not so broken. Like light domain cleric giving him access to zap and fireball. Or blade singer wizard gives the access to rapier and rapier mastery and some medium armor.
Quests and vendor rep should be account wide. also there should be an account stash you gain access to at 30 that all characters can use.

IMO rank rewards should be awarded on highest rank reached per season not what rank the season ended on, so people can enjoy playing without the fear of losing ranks

I think the spear should be available class wide. As in terms of use it is the simplest and easiest to weapon to master. Throughout history it's easy to teach, easy to use, and easy to mass produce. You can also implement other spear type weapons like a trident, javelin (throwing), one handed spear and shield, and a pitchfork would be funny.
And yes I fell in love with spear rouge and I'm not ready to part with it.
I don't know... I kind of agree with the idea, but not for 100%... Because while it is bad in PvP to be simply outhealed, sure, it is still crucial for PvE. The only way I can see it being implemented is to make that after you have been hit by PLAYER - you will receive such a debuff for the instance of magical healing applied consequently in 10 seconds. So only your first magicall healing effect would have 100% effectiveness.

I have a suggestion for player kills AP amount. I think a very simple way to handle it would be to make player kills worth 40% of the killed players gear score. Nice and easy, not to crazy to the point that no one will loot and just try to kill players and leave. But not to minimal to make people avoid PvP.
The only thing I might add to that is to make the gear score difference between the player and killed player count as well. For example. If my gear score is 200 and the killed player is 300, then I’d get 40% of 300 plus the difference so 100 because his gear score is higher. If the roles were reversed he would 40%of my 200 MINUS 100 because his gear score is higher and he’s killing a lower tier player.
Maybe increase the percentage of the gear score gain. Too either 50 or 75% to ensure a solid little chunk every time we get kills but I personally believe a super geared player should not get much of anything from killing a naked. They definitely shouldn’t get the same amount of Ap if the naked killed the super geared.

Its way easier hitting zaps compared to arrows, way harder to play cover against zaps. You can cast zaps most of the time faster than you can shoot arrows.

There is very few way to silence people in the game I don't think they should be nerfed. I agree that of you get cut throat by a rogue as melee range as a mage you'r almost dead every time, but that's not true for warlock of cleric they can defend themself at melee range (even the wizard can actually with this stupid wizard staff perk)
And yes it can be used with the hand crossbow or throwing knife but that's risky if you miss you lose it, and 4 sec may seem a long time with a rogue at melee range but if you get silenced by a ranged hit, you should have the time to escape for 4 sec (not always but still it's way less efficient to use cut throat with ranged weapon)
you can sneak up to people with rogue, with bard you have close to zero chance 😄

playing since pt4, developers put a lot of effort, sometimes fd up too but now when you look at the games balance overall there are 2 very OP skills, fighters sprint and rogue's cut throat, make some changes on these and you have a much better skill balance
My though on rogue cut throat is that indeed the cooldown is low especially now the ressourcefulness give CDR. Other than that class you suffer the most from it (wizard and warlock) have spell to avoid ambushed rogue (hydra and light ball). And fir the 4 sec the problem is not the duration it's that a rogue can kill you in half that time, the issues here is the TTK not the 4 sec. Longer TTK = more opportunity to espace, get help from a mate, dodge etc
I don't agree with you on that. If that was true we would have seen everyone run cut throat when Multiclassing was up. Sprint is indeed op, everyone was playing it. I don't remember seeing lot lf people playing cut throat, Barb have way more powerful skill everyone had Sprint+ one barb skill when multiclassing

this is also something makes rogues way too powerful when they stack true damage which is easy to do, I also think true/add should be removed, instead give classes more chances to stack armor penetration so armoured classes are not way too strong again like it used to be in pt4

I think it could be a good idea (how ever I’m sure It would be very complicated and hard for the devs) could be too give the different classes different stat caps for example rogue stacking true damage and action speed is really really REALLY hard to deal with. Sure there is a way but if your the wrong class you are just dead to that player regardless of your skill. So maybe have rogues true damage cap go down the more action speed they have currently equip. Obviously other classes can be adjusted is a similar buff/nerf fashion to help even out early game pvp and late game pvp

Good patch, though nothing major. The decision to continue with a PvPvE approach felt like they had gone too far to pivot entirely to either PvP or PvE. Until now, the game has been developed more as a PvE experience.
Personally, I would like to see smaller maps with primarily mini boss/boss rooms, allowing the PvP encounters to happen early and giving the victors enough time to clear the bosses. Instead of having large PvE rooms filled with nothing but 50 mobs and 20 chests, there could be one large central room, similar to Goblin Caves, designed for interesting and dynamic fights. This would prevent players from AFK looting in random rooms for 15 minutes.
I suggest scrapping static escapes and instead implementing static downs, with six blue portals in the final two zones.
Regarding the portal decision, I don't want to feel like I'm losing gear to the zone more often than in PvE and PvP situations. Blue portals should signify the end of a run, not a means to avoid combat or clearing. However, players should still have the option to avoid encounters with formidable teams equipped with named items if the situation calls for it. Smart decisions should be rewarded. Additionally, it would be beneficial to have more spells, such as a door lock, to control and defend areas from intimidating teams. Currently, the options are limited to hiding until you can slip into a portal or engaging in an unwinnable fight.
To clarify, I want more options than just doorways to skirmish with teams, providing alternatives beyond a full-on confrontation or complete avoidance.
If barbarians have a lot of health and already hit very hard, the enemy shouldn't have a slow when they get hit by barbarians well because that slow is an automatic win over the majority of the time for them and they shouldn't have that when other classes don't have something to there class that gives them that automatic win. It's an unfair advantage. Considering they can go pretty quick with movement with the right gear and the throwing axes decent amount of damage, it's just not a class to fight fair That's my thinking from watching clips, fighting as a barbarian and fighting a barbarian
Maybe just reduce the Hitslow of the barbarian weapon would be enough most of them have a -30% slow for 1 sec. But all class have that it's just that other (smaller) weapon have a less little hitslow
If there is any hitslow for barbarians weapons it's automatically unfair since majority of fights it's 1 to 2 hit enough to kill someone when geared 1 hit slows and if not dead the slow is already in place to prevent them from escaping the second hit kills them this is what I see in majority of clips with barbarians having medium to high gear versing against people with low to medium gear

The same timer on every single marketplace salesman really irks me. It's a lot of info repeated. I would suggest moving the timer to under the "Travelers & Merchants" title of the tab, and you win more space under every salesman card for other info in the future (special offers, symbols to denote sales or special wares?)
When interacting with any loot horde, if items cannot go into the target player's inventory, they should be put on the ground instead of discarded.
Hey @keen onyx @dawn grotto @full tulip between all the issues this season, and the multiclassing debacle, we need one of 2 things. Extend the HR season. Or. Give all the seasonal rewards to anyone who participated in the HR season, also keep the coinsack and potions rewards, then give 2 and 5 blue tokens respectively pathfinder and voyager ranks, and 2 and 5 red coins to exemplar and demigod.
Make ranged weapons do drastically less base damage in return for damage bonuses including: Unique arrow types, Height damage bonus, Elemental arrows, and debuffs such as bleed poison ect. Right now we can add a whole new layer of skill to the game by rewarding planning and situational awareness rather than just aim checks.
add some type of slowing utility. I'm sick of this game becoming kite and kiter
Please change the circle logic in inferno, at least for solos. So many times I have to go the furthest distance from my spawn ie. Northwest corner to Southeast corner and it is the least enjoyable experience my brain is capable of comprehending.

I don't think it's very normal.. the people I see going to inferno when I take a blue are either ranged/spell casters or melee players that got forced into taking red. Say skill issue all you want but it is a pain as a melee class. Even building full damage 2 or 3 hitting nightmare mobs can take a while to clear that many mobs with subbosses as well. Barely enough time to loot in between killing everything running from corner to corner. Probably 75% of the time I have just 1 minute to clear the last module the final circle is in.

I just entered a Duos lobby with my buddy. I was 297 gearscore and my fighter friend was 296 gearscore. WHY THE FUCK WERE WE PUT IN THE 300+ lobby just to get killed by a KUMAS CLAW and DEATHBLOOM PLAYER. Either get rid of the gearscore system or make sure it works correctly! Practically just gave our kits to people with 700+ gearscore..... FEELS BAD

sprint doesnt help anything when you have any amount of armor on slowing you down. If I miss with a cross bow i dont get to reload freely I just get charged at. A slowing utility would help balance this agility meta alot

Demon glee actually doesnt do magic damage. It just gives you +1 magic damage (which yes, is useless). IM is fucking stupid for doing that, if it had +1 magic weapon damage, it would actually be good, because then you could use it with poison and run magic damage rogue. But then there might actually build diversity in this game, which we all know IM hates. You will be a meta slave and you will like it.

I don't personally care if they extend the season or not. Other than that I am generaly a proponent of longer wipes. But I think the extend the seaon people do have a decent argument. IM originally intended for this to be the multiclass season, and they announced to everyone that to paritcipate in Multiclasss you would need to level up multiple characters. People went into this season with that in mind and distributed their time to multiple chars, rather than focusing on just grinding one char for demigod. IM then screwed the pooch on the multiclass and removed it, and now are rushing the end of the end of the season, so every forgets their mistake. I can understand why some people feel bad to and want more time to avoid the FOMO.
Fair point, they do indeed seem a little on the fence this season, but again this is there first time doing this 😄 We just have to hope that season 3 is a clear direction for the game 🙂

This is exactly on the money. Us people with lives lost too much time between preping for multiclassing, and all the server down time, especialy the down time directly after announcing a short season. I love this game, and after this season I have serious hesitations about wanting to give my time to a game that does not respect it. If having a life makes it so I can't play your game to the fullest, I'm not sure I want to play your game. I shouldn't have to treat DaD like a part time job, I should just have to be skilled and play consistently. Seasons need to alteast be 4 months, shouldn't start a season till the clock starts and their are rewards ready. Since they aren't extending the season, they should just give out the rewards, and reward ranks with blue and red coins, otherwise @keen onyx and @dawn grotto will have done us dirty. @full tulip you got your work cut out for you in the future XDXDXD

Yeah currently only spellcasters have any elemental damage. And they should still deal the bulk of elemental damage. But it would be cool for like, a fighter or ranger or barb to have +2 fire damage on their weapon, could help them beat heavy PDR builds even though they aren't magic classes

I don't think it would be that easy to make. Because for elemental damage to be efficient you'll need to split magic resistance into multiple elemental resistance. Because if magic resistance are equally efficient against every type of elemental damage their is no point making different type of magic. And that would make too many stat, it would be even harder to get stuff with the roll you want. But the idea is good maybe it should be more like item that we can craft, a fire sword, lightning spear, ice dagger (That deal true "elemental" damage, but in fact it would be magical damage with a cool name)
for spellcasters. why not change them from rest regen, to cooldown regen. IE. fireball normally has 4 charges, instead, it could have 2 charges, however once one is used, it starts up a regen timer for it being 20 seconds per fireball. zap can go down to 3 zaps, and come back every 15 seconds, magic missile could also have 2 charges, with regen at 15 seconds, and stuff like chain could be 1 charge per 30s. i feel like this would really help out a wizard when it comes to long fights and also kind of nerf the spammability of certain spells too, spell overload could also be changed to simply reduce cooldowns by about 20% or so, and medetate could be changed into a skill like 2nd wind where it can be used once per campfire, but for 6s, increases spell recovery by 2.5x
it could just be in terms of effect, fire weapons could slightly reduce pdr, lightning could inflict reduced action speed, ice slow. it could also just be a new merchant which can enchant our items too
Or even better, a room in game with an npc who can enchant your weapon, but it take time and make noise to alert other player. That would add an objective on the map, like the golden key room or thing like that
if you want the game to feel more alive why don't you change it so if you que duo or trio your put with random people unless you group up with friends or you know people from the discord or gathering hall but you should automatically get put with people and obviously you would have to add a function to turn that off if you wanna do some solo runs on trio mode i just think its stupid the way its set up now if you want a team you got to do gathering hall or discord gathering hall is always dead and discord not always a fan sometimes you don't wanna talk but don't wanna que solos mode

Realistically i have stopped recommending the game to people because the devs "testing things" the covering up the mistakes by rush wiping has made me really annoyed with less than a week of notice and the lack of any willingness to listen to a large amount of the community or even comment on their frustrations is a huge L in my eyes sadly i did not make demi either due to multiclass hell but hopefully next season they will do better and not mess up then rush us into the next season, that was a massive rip off.

I suggest you stop this knight system before you start it and get burned. Build a tutorial instead. Arena and tutorial lobbies instead of outsourcing the. Process to a warden that picks who gets a unique colored torch would be highly appreciated
They don't have resources to build a tutorial ATM given how much the sweats are crying to content they will play. A tutorial is 100% needed, but tbh just making it so the squire explained the basics (extracting / etc.) to a new player and offering the knight system is fine in the short term.
I for one will absolutely volunteer to play as a knight with newbies in normals. I think so long as they can report bad knights and commend good ones the system will largely sort itself out.
There needs to be a real way to disincentivize bad knights tho, aside from just locking them out of the system.
What do you guys think about armor racks/stands? Maybe it could be a quest reward or otherwise limited item. The idea is to have somewhere to toss your kit instantly if you wanna play normals and you're full up on stash space.

You’re specifically complaining about the part where having infractions on your account makes it impossible for you to become a knight, however if you can’t become a knight due to having said infractions, it’s only your fault for having broken the rules.
When dealing with new players we do not want to risk having any outbursts or misconduct throughout the run, therefore the program needs to be very rigorous and strict.

It’s almost more important that you are professional, calm, and respectful then a gigachad who can wipe lobbies. A learning environment needs to be a place where there is 0 toxicity and it needs to be supportive. You could have 10000 hours, and if you weren’t a good teacher you wouldn’t be a good fit.

Graysun checks the applicants too, and you keep referring to it as a club, but you still don’t understand the main objective of this server is to help new players learn the game, I understand if you’re a bit annoyed that there are certain requirements however I didn’t come up with them myself, they were all reviewed and put in place by Graysun and sdf. The requirements to join are intentionally very strict as we want the best and most helpful members of the community.
As for Yorkazord, I recognize that he is a helpful user, however it doesn’t justify him being disrespectful in certain situations… behavior like that is not something er can support.

This "Hall of Knights" feature...are you being serious Ironmace? This is a merciless, hardcore dungeon crawler game. Have a simple tutorial to allow new players to learn the basic stuff and reward them for doing that. This "holding hands" nonsense is just negative impact on new players. They wont get learning experience by having someone to do the "adventuring" for them, they have to face those difficulties like we did back in playtest 1! This new feature will destroy the atmosphere and excitement and hardcore element from the game for new players. EDIT: Also hackers, cheaters, goldsellers and other toxic players are gonna abuse this feature. Just saying.

Nope. Balance is nonexistent anyway. Besides, racial buffs are nothing more but a minor thing over all. The biggest "buff" any character receives is tied to his equipment first and foremost.
Like take the lizardmen buff. A slight less damage to the head and 20 armor. Wow! So it is a bit less damage to the head, the damage that is DOUBLED anyway, while also giving a few percent of physical damage resistance. At a price of not being able to wear any head piece at all... It is NOT a fair exchange, mate, no matter how you twirl the math around. And those who play as lizards, play them for the sake of being a lizard. That is going to be with any other race.

In between, I see the problem with market place but in the same time it's usefull. Maybe start by nerfing it, up the fee, reduce the time item are listed, reduce how many item can be listed and see how it goes with this. But maybe it need to be rework completely

Thats why increasing loot in the game would fix that issue. People get upset about any sort of change that makes the game harder and the game loop longer. Everyone wants to just run in and PVP with the absolute best stuff they can find on the market rather than building it with each extract

Also in response to the epic/rarer items on the market we actually are seeing that right now seeing as how most people are buying blues and up rather than buying any greens due to the gear difference. I just want to see different builds rather than everyone running a crazy amount of HP and TWD. Removing the Trade system would be the quickest way to fixing the current gear problem they're facing. Maybe they could bring it back in the far future once they think the time is right

Well that's how it was before, and all the game was one or two team full gear stomping every other. GBMM is a good feature it's just not perfectly balanced right now due to the lack of player that forced to do only 2 rank (0-300 and 300+)
The trade system was still in the game though so people were still trying to max out their stats

Don't count healing and some utility, make more rank stuff like that would be cool. Yes ok, but it was way less friendly when only the trading post was up. Took way more time etc. And if we do all the change I said above (Nerf marketplace, an arena mode for people who only PvP, change how the GBMM work) it's worth a try I guess. I don't think it's good to just remove a feature (especially when they're important like that, it will only make people angry and hurt the playerbase even more) or at least try to make it work before that
I was saying more or less suspend the trading post+market place to just test and see. I dont the scrapping it would be a good idea. However I think it would be worth a try.
You also have to realize that the changes I am suggesting to fix our current issues with gear is just removing 2 things and the fix you thought of consists of 3 which also consists of multiple tests. Might I suggest if you are to add an arena mode. Perhaps have only 2 modes, normals and high roller.
I might also suggest having it set in tournaments. Much like the game “rocket league” where if you want to join it’ll have a window of time (5 minutes or so) for players to join the tournament. Then it starts. I feel like this could aid in worry for empty lobbies due to player base.
I think having a random map for every round of the area would be a good idea as well so you don’t have to add map ques you can just pick a module on each map that’s arena esc.
I personally would like it if instead of bringing in your own gear (for either mode) give each class presets to choose from (and possibly the ability to modify those presets slightly while they wait for the tournament to start) and then you can make just straight up gold the main gain from the arena (if players would prefer to make money that way) and maybe give out like a reward token or something to the top 3 and a decent piece of gear to choose from for first place. (Along with what ever gold values you’d like to assign for each round of the normal or highroller tournament)
I think adding weight to loot could be a good addition. Then there could be a drop button where you can choose to drop everything in your inv to free up movement speed. It would help with players putting things like an absurd amount of potions in bandages in their bag while still being able to get to them in a fight. Basically the same system for the game Outward.
You could choose to straight up ditch your loot to stay alive in certain situations.
Players wouldn't have to actually equip a bag or anything. Just keep it as a way to drop your inventory fast.

Personally I think it is way too late to think about adding weight how ever I think arrows should be at least 1 gear score because the bards instruments are a couple points of gear score each! If your going to force the bard class to have gear score for his key class items I think it’s only fair the it applies to all classes

What do you guys think about allowing the rogue to use the new lantern shield? I think it could be a good thing. Now that everyone is faster (thx to ms penalty reduced on all stuff), that everyone have more HP and that true/additionnal have been nerfed the rogue is probably going to have a hard time. Giving him this shield could be cool (the hidden blade on rogue pls) and uselfull to help him survive a bit

Adding more armor slot will mean more stats, so need to rebalance a lot of thing (Monster and player damage/hp, movespeed etc) it's more hard than it seems

How about removing the demon roar after transforming into a demon? It likes to bug out and not let you swing sometimes after transforming. It gets pretty annoying.
How do we feel about barbarian crush being able to break multiple pots with one swing with two handed weapons? I find it kind of weird that a barbarian is able to bust down a door with one swing but gets completed stopped in its tracks when hitting a pot.

On the test-server? It's because their is too few people. With only one map they're is less chance for the lobby to be really empty and some of the test need PvP fight to gather data
If your going F2P, paying customers need to be given a sick set of skins as a reward. Like 1 of every category. A race, a fire skin, an emote, potion skins, a sitting emote, a cloak skin, and a lobby emote. I agree for A, even if, imo, reward should go only or in priority to people with the Hold the line edition they're the real looser her. For B Cheater and gold farmer probably but only in normal game. I don't think it will be worth it to gold farm in normal and cheating make less sense in normal I guess it's more boring/rewarding for those who cheat. And C, again f2p player won't have the same game than us, it's a very diminish version of it who won't be able to interact at all with marketplace/trading post and HR so they'll "negatively impact" a small part of the game where you don't really have nothing to lose. I'm a hold the line customer, I think f2p is a good change. F2p will only effect normals, free players cannot trade or enter high roller, making money trade difficult if not impossible. Having more people to play dark and darker with makes my purchase of the game more enjoyable
Fair, I still think we do, as cosmetics are essentially free for them. I get what your saying about reduced impact due to limited version of the game. I still think how it will affect the economy will be far reaching, and what it will do to new players ( stuck in norms due to bad HR change to now have level requirement...) will hurt the games growth; as well as hurt people who are grinding quests.

I am truly hoping so. I still have faith in these guys, despite everything. I beleive that they in the end are trying for the best as they see it. I see nothing malicious. Still their mistakes hurt, and have been hurting a lot more recently (last season). Still, I am hopefully for the 7th, I have faith in our imperfect devs, cause they are doing their best, trying their hardest, and fighting a titan while they male this game. We just need better soon. The skins I hope they give us should be Dark themed. Like a black fire with white tips, blackened potion bottles, a black smoke like effect on cloaks, an emote where darkness surounds the character in a swirled for a second, a black smoke like wraith skin, and a lobby emote where darkness consumes you and your eyes glow for a flash before the smoke dicipates.
okay so i think i came up with an insane idea. imagine we could make our own tiles. then make our own 3x3 labrynth with a boss on the end. clearing the labrynth gives you tokens for special trader. the labrynth system has a bounty system more people die the more tokens it awards when someone clears it. it costs ap or gold to attempt and the labrynth builds up the bounty so harder ones become more lucrative over time and people can build jackpot teams that go around defeating the hardest built labrynths.

Nerf or rework it, it could be less ms, a penalty at the end (like the rat skill of druid or the Action spell skill of figther). But imo it should be rework that way : Sprint now do the same thing that the fighter perk who reduce movespeed penalty of armor but better like 50-60% for 6 sec. That way it still benefit to PDR fighter but is not overpowered on faster fighter like slayer. (Even with a rework it should not give as much as 50 flat ms)

So it seem it's not just a free nerf on rogue hide's the cooldown as been reduced a lot from 40 sec to around 25 sec. But even like that 6 second seems rough, 10 would be the bare minimum imo. Divide the duration of hide by 2 and the cooldown almost by 2 would have been fine, it's a rework of the spell but right now even with the cdr reduced it feel pretty weak

I do agree about the hell part. But a 2nd floor to Frost cavern is coming with the wipe. And most of the time we have to wait for less than 6 min (and come on, it's 6 min)
It's often times more than six minutes because somebody walks away from their comp and you miss the que.
But map rotation was is a really good update, it's cool to be able to play every map. They just need some time to add content in them so we have stuff to do (And part of that is coming in the wipe)

Shorter duration AND cooldown is not a bad thing at all. It allow more strategic play / repositionning and allow you to proc ambush more often
5 seconds is a bit too short, the animation alone shows your position enough for people to just wait

Hello, in dungeons n dragons and in other games inspired by it (like solasta) the gear system is constructed around ''magical attunement'', so you dont get to be in full magical enchanted gear, you're limited to a few items something like 3. In Dark n Darker, this could be a way to go around the min max/stat check gearing that is occuring with the heavily enchanted items even when they're green. So you could queue up with your favorite 3 enchanted items or x number and the rest would be white gear.

Guilds should be added, add in a tabard that does nothing but display guild Sigle, or some other form of being able to see guild, like maybe a small tilting shield like badge with guild symbol. can have a guild chat room, guild storage, and a guild ranked progression system where members points would go to the guilds progress where rewards can be gotten for the whole guild.

It's not the same but the shared stash help a bit about quest because now you can farm ressource on one character and give them to the other via the shared stash (they stay looted)

Well Barb was build as one of the wizard counter. In solo it's probably very annoying but I guess the best is to avoid them. Every class have their counter and favorite victim
It is not about their HP, it is about that they supposed to be playing utilizing that HP to tank damage, because they can't build armor. So, they supposed to have lots of HP, lots of damage, but zero to negative defences.
They are not having neither zero nor negative defenses.
Barbarians and warl(C)ocks need their class be reworked entirely.
And fighters need to have other options, rather than sprint and second wind. And I don't know how far up their arse developers have their heads, because they can't notice that problem for years now.
Which is stupid, BTW. having favorable and unfavorable match-ups is one thing. Being impossible to kill or run from is the other. Barbarians, sprint PDR fighters, warl(C)ocks - those three literally ruining the game for every other class. You can't do a thing against them 1 v 1, if you aren't lucky or absolute God at kiting. And the fun thing, those bastards realize how unfair their classes are, and they prefer to find other targets, rather to fight one of their own.

Doesn't solve anything. You play till level 100, you get thrown to mature players, you delete the character and back to bullying yellow bellies. It is not a solution. This game has perverted PvP experience with cooperation or good manners meaning NOTHING. If you want that to be changed - you need to change core rules of engagement in general. Add some PvE only maps, fix that HR stupidity we have now.
I understand the rotation because they want people to play all the maps, but in reality people just wait for the rotation and play the maps they want to play. Why not just bring back map selection and give us what we want?
What about giving spell predation a bigger hitbox or infinite range? Or make it an AOE. It's just hard to use it before getting attacked.
Why not that's a good idea, the spell is underused too. But it might have a comeback when druir came out because I think heal over time count as buff and can get removed by Spell predation
Because we don't have enough player right now to split people in 12 different lobby. But it could a good idea, even if some of them will probably only have few player in it forever
And anyway, imo, removing map rotation is not the good solution. It would be better to improve other aspect of the game to make all the map attractive (And I guess that's what is happening with the 2nd floor of ice cavern and the normalization of removing zone etc)
Because people don't want to go solo vs trio just to play certain map for the quest. Stop whining about rotation already. It is so fast, that most of the time, if you go in one, you will get the same one when you exit.

Couldn't agree more. The normal mode IS the game. HR is just some kind of perverted C&B torture with your own approval. ZERO balance. ZERO "weight class" distribution of players. ZERO pleasure. One can enter the map naked, while other will enter all gold and will never be even scratched by majority of players. Especially if that gold bastard is warl(C)ock, barbarian or stacked up PDR sprint fighter. ZERo ways of taking those down.

A wipe is coming in 18h now that's why. People are waiting for it. It's part of the core of this kind of game, every 2-3 month there is a big reset (most of the time with new content). This wipe will be wipe 4. A wipe is a reset of everything you have, level, gold, item, stash tab, quest. Except your skin, the Blue and red shard to buy them and your character (so you keep the nickname)

The game is a punishing game, I already died using yellow items to a barbarian with gray items, I took 2 hits and died

without a circle there's no force pushing people towards fights, having static exits or exits you know exists also pushes people away from fighting. I think pushing people away from pvp takes away from the game, I feel like pvp should be a highlight

Actually i have the game, but i wanted to make a friend come back on the game. He was fine with the single character slot, not playing highroller, and not having the shared stash. But knowing he cannot use the gear he will extract is very frustrating

highroller cost 100 gold to enter. and gear do have good trade value. and high end area like inferno can hardly be mastered without very good gear.
I understand the point, but I feel that money should mark the goal of the game, earn 1000000 to become a noble or something, or buy a feudal estate or something, give a purpose to your actions. because if you kill inside a dungeon in order to kill in another dungeon....
or buy permanent health upgrades or whatever, I don't know, something that makes you feel like you're progressing by killing people in dungeons.
Gear is the progression
well. the deeper you go the better the gear you get the better you are geared more efficient you are so it do matter for leaderboard climbing in ranked. theres tree skill coming that said to maybe become a money sink kinda things also legendary weapons gold chest and keys is where huge amount of gold get invested into rn. more is coming
the problem I see with this is that I find it much more interesting to go in naked and come out full of valuable junk, I guess when I play more hours I'll see the fun in upgrading equipment.
Or a guild system where all player of the guild can spend gold to improve the Guilde Hall or get Guilde cosmetic. Or stuff like that

when u know how to make gold its simple. naked bard + minimal luck jewelry and luck pot in highroller = u get back with full gear blue/purple and inventory full of stuff to a/h ending up in like 500-1000 gold profit per 6-10 min games

Nop not anymore. The circle was to BR-ish and forced people in way of playing (you almost everytime have to PvP to get out). That's not the goal of this game since the beginning, the circle was kind of a place holder to this new system

I know for sure that Crypt have blue portal, Goblin cave had some too just before the wipe. Never seen one in ice cavern before and didn't play it enough since wipe to affirm they're is no portal. I don't know how rare they are tho. We'll need to figure that out in the next day

Suggestion to change the lantern shield for the better. Make the repost of the shield only 1 attack that is fast, medium DMG and short range. right now the shield repost feels too drawn out and slow and unlike the longsword which behaves almost 1 to 1 the shield (Right now) doesn't have the DMG to back it up.
Suggestion to give each spell caster a form of meditate. Cleric gets a prayer that recovers spells when sitting and Druid gets natural recovery to get spells when sitting. End the sedentary lifestyle

Ive heard quite a few complaints about not being able to use ANY of the gear that drops all the time in normals, especially if you cant trade or anything either. Selling them for semi-useless gold is a little feels-bad for the FTP players out there. Just my 2 cents 🙂

I'm glad Ironmace managed to get DaD on both Steam and Epic. However, I'm not quite fond of the "free to play" option here. You see the free to play version is very limited to normals, 1 character and no market access. It feels more of a demo rather than free to play. Sure, I would like Ironmace to encourage people to buy the full version of the game, but this marketing free to play is kinda misleading, making people a bit frustrated about it.
The biggest issue is the limited character slots. 1 character is way to few to try out the game and decide if you want to spend 30 bucks on it.
I'd say there should be 2 character slots. Why? Because if Ironmace can encourage people to pay the legendary edition of the game, then they already have 2 characters ready to share items with sharing stash. And besides, as RPG gamer myself I would like to have an option to try out other classes without deleting any characters to find the suitable class for me to have fun with. But just 2, any more than that and it's going down to microtransactions that are not cosmetics only anymore and that's not something I want.
2 slots does sound reasonable for free trial. Lets you keep a 'main' while trying other classes on the 2nd slot. Honestly though, normals is plenty fun. HR is for the more hardcore peeps who want the challenge, the only issue is that greens and blues=unusable in normals, so no point to the stash in trial anyway since youll always be running full white Bis
That's the point, normal dungeons are limited to poor and common quality items and you cannot use any better quality item you find from dungeons because of the "free to play" option. Again, it should be called "demo" and not "free to play".
Id honestly be fine with a full f2p model too and with them giving those who bought the game extra red shards/cosmetics. Its my understanding everyone just wants the game to be alive at this point
Maybe a battlepass would be fun for them to make money instead, as long as it stays cosmetics, emotes, etc. Its been a winning business model for many games out there

With the addition of significant stat bonuses to helms, I'm surprised they're doubling down on this design for lizards and lycans. These aren't good races imo, which is a shame because they're cool. They need a significant buff in order to be worth not taking head armour when now even in normals you can get a stat bonus from wearing something.
they are good races for half naked barbarians, that's the whole thing. I'm glad they nerved agi scaling and ms loss from armor so we wont see as much nakeds kiting everyone meaning, that these races which were attracting this toxic meta are more of a meme now
Ye but you have to think from a new players perspective becuase during playtest you could try different classes without having to delete them. You having fun with just one class doesnt mean it isnt a flawed system and I think more players would actually buy the game if it didnt feel extremely forced to do so since it kinda destroys the trust the new players have in the devs future decisions
as far as the "trying classes" is concerned i have a friend that does exactly that usually, like he's never sure what he wants to play so in mmos he straight up deletes characters just to start from 0 on new class and probably that's doable here too? it sucks to level again but its not like they'll unlock hr, and it does not take that long

Wouldn't it be kinda cool if every adventurer has like a guild card? similar to tarkov's dogtag, we can retrieve people's guild card from their corpse and sell it. the price will differ based on the players' level

They need to extend normals to include greens. Right now it's a demo, but if they do that again there will actually be a measure of gear progression that's reasonable for non-paying players to use.
And I don't think greens in normies would be so bad now that at minimum we have stats on all items because of the junk gear changes.
I got a feeling thats where we gonna end up. They cant just revert, so its either changing the name from f2p to demo or what you just said. Thats probably not what they originally meant this to be, but could turn into a W in the end.
I also strongly think they should stop exclusively communicating here, and release an update on steam. Right now they're blundering communication and their image there to people who have no idea how the game has been the last while. This is a bubble, it's not the real platform they're selling to.
please remove the restriction on gear in normals. there is no point in looting gear or gold if i cant bring any of it into my next game. i used to play in previous early access releases and this was not the case before. please revert this change it is horrendous.
ii like normal how it is right now. more balanced for pvp. but a gbmm like 0-100 and then 100+ could be great. so basic geared player play together and peoples with gear are all matched togethers also
f2p players cant play high roller so they basically cant put on this gear ever
imo they should increase char slot to 3 and allow 1 hr game per day. so they can try it but to fully play the game they would need to purchase it. like a demo
rn it look like a half locked demo and not a free to play. theres way to improve it a lot

Normal needs at least greens. Possibly blues. That is if they intend f2p to actually be something people play.
I'm really liking how druid feels now that I've got my hands on it, though. And the rotation and quest system also feels much less rough than it felt in past versions. Overall things are pretty good right now imo.
I expected a much rougher warlock-tier entry to the game. Warlock used to really really suck.
This has probably been brought up ad nauseum but a pve mode where you just queue up with friends or randos to spelunk is something i would enjoy. Can keep loot divided from the pve mode and pvp.
That or turn off friendly fire in the pve mode and juice mobs absurdly to make finding other players a welcome sight

I honestly don't like you can only use common or lower in normal dungeon. Feels like it dose not reward me for going in grabbing uncommon stuff to be just stached away unless i go high roll. I would be fine if it was like uncommon or lower
The game has been tried with higher loot in normals many times, it only results in a bad experience of ungeared players getting stomped by minmaxed gear
even uncommon? i can see with higher then uncommon that it could been a issue
Yes. It used to be awful. When it was released it didn't have the whole dark-reflect thing, nor the ability to use any kind of good armour, and the magic wasn't very good. It was just a worse wizard when it was released imo.

Yes even Uncommon have a really huge power gap with common gear. You can build a full damage or full hp build with green gear and you'll be way more powerfull than a full white

While true, I'd rather have there be progression within normals than there be a game mode with perfect balance. The progression is the game, and without it you'll play for a few hours then have nothing to do. The best an f2p player can do right now is swap between classes to get different experiences rather than actually play the game - and even that won't last for long.

Ok ok, but you might still have new thing to learn, in inferno, ice abyss/ ice cavern, the boss etc etc. But I understand that even like that you can feel a lack of variety, but that's also kinda on purpose, they want you to buy the game xD
