this will eventually change. I have a thought that they will add 'gear rating' before the start of the season. This forces people to actually risk gear to earn more, also puts regular back 'on the show' temporarily. I think its silly to expect people to risk KEYS worth of gear to just go into a lobby full of nakeds.

Say green gives 5 gear rating, purple give 15. You would need to hit an expected 20-25 to be admitted in, but who knows.

define "end game". its gonna take multiple HR hell runs if you dont pvp to find good gear or be blessed by the rng gods. better gear lets you clear HR mobs way faster and thus loot more with a higher chance to find some bis. the higher stats on gear makes it harder to kill a geared player unless you third party them too

also they should just revert the lobby back to voip on at least with the inspect. i doubt anyone changes their entire playstyle to suit a singular persons kit when the main factor is "does my class counter x class" and not decided on what gear they run

Where I'm coming from is this- I don't see a point in playing in normal when you can just queue in high roller and get BIS. I go in naked, come out full purples. I just feel like this takes out the 'normal' gameplay in a way that renders it useless and timewasting to even play in a normal game.

normal is honestly more of a skill based version vs HR being skill thats compensated by gear. white longsword fights are some of the most fun ive had in normals. plus its easier to get mob drops in normals since the drop rates dont increase in HR. wear the lizard skin and run warlock bonking people with a torch and BoC in normals; some of the funniest kills happen

However, I've been hitting the classic rubberbanding and I've noticed "debrisworker.exe" running in the background, uploading at about 13Mbps (my max is 12Mbps) causing lag spikes. Hmm.. instead of maybe having it where base rolls have a certain rating it would be certain stats gives it better rating. 5% damage increase would give a higher rating than a 2%. Just food for thought though honestly just trying to have a discussion about it.

Might not help you, but I've been seeing "debrisworker.exe" uploading large amounts of data while playing DnD, leave task manager open and see if it's doing it for you. If so, ending that task fixed the rubberbanding problem for me

Stay on their right side, your left to try to bait their easy to dodge attacks. If they do a side swipe you basically try to run past them on the right side. Some classes are too slow and don't have a shield to block it though and if thats the case you'll just have to crouch jump and eat the hit to the legs

Is there any plans for some sort of balancing incoming?
The past few days my duo and I, which our highest characters rank is at most apprentice, are contantly getting killed by either pathfrinder rank players or players that have insane gear (gold sets, unique weapons ect.) making it virtually impossible to survive in HR, even if we go in 'sorta' kitted (the best we can afford), we'll get rolled by someone who's kit is 2 - 3x our value. Skill is an issue sure, but again, we are low rank and trying to get better but the gap between players value + rank is massive.

Playing normal runs is difficult to make any farm, considering you could make maybe ~300g, which might buy 1 purple weapon. So it takes like 4 - 5 normal runs to buy a ok set only to get rolled by someone that I've described before.

A suggestion for the staff and balacing, maybe make normal runs (now that there's layered ruins) drop much better gear as you go deeper? So at least the everyone is on the same value field when they start normals and has a chance to farm up. Otherwise it currently feels pretty darn hopeless.

Just 30 mins ago we died to a pathfinder rank ranger + barb combo, and the ranger had a gold cloak, purple longbow, and a gold longbow (no melee) and fully decked out on BiS slots. 2 arrows my partner died, that's really absolutely no chance against this gap.

Anyone made any progress on long loading times? I just recently died to a crossbow rogue who had the time to rush my spawn and start handcrossbowing me in the face before I even loaded in. By the time I loaded in I was already 75% hp and he was on top of me with no time for me to react. This has been an issue for me for a good while now on what I would consider an upper tier computer and great internet. It used to only be inferno this happened on but about 6 or so patches ago this has now affected all maps. On average I load 15-20 seconds or longer then everyone else.

Depends on your playstyle, I don't think there is a "best". Fighter is very strong and has many different builds. Bards have nice pve capabilities and survivability. Rogues are in a good spot now too.

yes strength increases your weapon damage, the max amount u can get is 3 on a weapon

For people that are freezing I may have found a fix, It could be some sort of memory leak, Restarting the client after every Raid or every 2 raids and I haven't had anymore freezes yet. Hope this helps
