not by much assuming the highly ambitious things like story rework and repeatable labs don't work out

one might say that as of this upcoming update and maybe the one after with bartering with traders you'll be already playing the 1.0

pretty much the only things left on the table for features other than just dumping mods into the pack are:

• release 0.9.5
• do the bartering system for 0.9.6
• story rework (shortening by removing quests and merging three stories together)
• repeatable dungeons (basically loot farming by being able to do for example Brain Scorcher again)

i doubt there's gonna be a weapon specific patch other than maybe changing the upgrade trees properly, not just moving them around
there was an idea for weapon upgrades providing you the special variants like AK-74 > AK-74 "PMC" but that sounds unlikely to happen unless you somehow code the game to check for amount of upgrades applied and if they're true then swap the gun for a different model, not sure how you'd handle stats carry over as some guns after conversion may have worse stats than the default upgraded variant
it will also increase a balance void with upgrading vs finding the gun as there needs to be some insentive to go upgrade your gear in full

another idea was just utilizing Nimble for gun swaps such as the one mentioned above which honestly would work out but as a core system guns and their tiers just suck because there's really not many differences between them that make it worth going for something in D tier unless its stupid broken in comparison to the rest of the firearms which just makes it a tierlist type system of SR-25 S tier, which newbies love

on the flipside guns don't need to feel unique or do anything special
the current way of making some guns "unique" is kinda lame as at most they just get increase in RPM for burst mode (or the so-called "hyperburst" but without the 0 aim dispersion so they still go all over the place unlike the AN-94)
