I played a lot of zona recently and in that modpack the shotguns are so powerful that there's really no reason to use SMGs, pistols, or ARs.

when i used those weapons my demise is usually lets say i do spring cleaning in dead city

i engage the mutant squad 1 random npc from enemy faction comes and roaming mutant from another terrain comes to fight as well

so thats like 6-7 npcs you have to run out of the fight with those weapons

while if you are running ppsh or tommy gun you can hose down all the mutant enemies and swap to fmj gun to fight the npc so its 10 times easier

I ran AK PMC for ahile then I went to RD 74 which is MUCH better. Then I went to HOWA type 20 which was whatever.
So for shits and giggles I switched to AK alfa, the jacked up 7.62 Soviet GUN.
IT IS SO MUCH BETTER. I love it. What ever rapist gunjs are there?
I was thinking maybe switching to 9x39 guns or 7.62 NATO guns.
The really high tier guns in those calibers.

1) While in game, press F12, go inside Anomaly\appdata\screenshots. If the screenshot isn't there, look in your GAMMA RC3 folder, inside a folder called overwrite
2) Press PRTSC (Print Screen on your keyboard) open Paint, CTRL + V to paste the pic, save it, send it.
Alternatively press ALT+PRTSC to screenshot the currently focused window, then CTRL+V to paste.
3) Windows key + Shift + S, which lets you choose what part of the screen you want to take, it will directly copy the pic for you so all you'll have to do is just CTRL + V in the chat.

didn't realize the towers were protected from emissions, good to know. I know there's a cabin on the far Eastern side of the map, and there's the bandit checkpoint near one of the TC->AW transition points

I think the towers protect with the dynamic coverage mod that gamma uses (it's a surprise !)
The bandit checkpoint is probably the most practical, but you have to be specifically bandit/renegade or be ready to clean your home regularly (but I guess if you like a base in truck cemetary, this shouldn't be a problem)

tempted to get New Levels and set up in Promzone, there's a set of one-story warehouses that went kinda hard as a base. Plenty of exterior cover as well in case you get into a fight

another one that I think gets kind of slept on is that big compound in the Southeastern part of Jupiter. There's plenty of space in that office building on the North side
