Colt Aries doesn't spawn at all, it's only in the starting loadouts. Meowie also changed the non-glow sight pistols (which are also in the base loadouts)

Well, late game there's options that will kill 2 chimeras before they get to leap at you (assuming you have LoS of them from outside leap distance) and the ks23 will not do that

Like I can see 9x21 and 5.7 being great, cheaper alternatives to Rifle calibers against Stalkers, but they aren't superior to their counterparts to fully replace their use

i only updated the game via launcher, no fresh install
since I updated my sss23 manually and the exes manually I just did what the github told me to do for fresh exes
Delete everything in your db\mods folder, then back out, go to gamedata, configs, remove all but the configs folder, then go into configs folder, delete everything besides cache.dbg and axr_options
then download the latest exes and put them in, should add this modded_exes gamedata
but I recommend backing up your db folder and other folder in case it doesn't work for some reason
Idk if it'll fix anything or not but my game doesn't ghost crazy like yours does
just be sure to backup your folders in case and just revert the changes etc if it doesn't fix anything
I've noticed that moving ambient occlusion slider in SSS settings from 1 to 0.5 or 0.25 gives decent performance boost, but idk if it has any noticeable visual difference

yeah, a few updates ago, if you had your GL selected and changed level, i guess it would put your gun to normal, but GL would be selected with however many nades as your standard mag has in bullets
so your AK would suddenly have 30 nades in a fake mag, as soon as you fired your GL the tube would say "29" and youd have to unload your gun, then 29 nades in your inventory
made me not use nades, as when i did i would suddenly be 3.2 tonnes without me looking

FWIW, applying some little to no difference visual settings AND limiting FPS to 60 (down from excess150ish after this patch) did bring the GPU load back to normal. Temps are around 55C now
try limiting to 90, games feel enough smooth at these
SSS settings I changed come from @frank oxide from the newbie channel: SSS Settings:
Post-Process > Bloom - OFF (turn all sliders to the left)
Shadows Cascades - Each grass shadows setting to LOW or OFF
Shadows and Light - Force Volumetric OFF, Volumetric Intensity to 0, Volumetric Quality to VERY LOW
SSR - OFF (turn all sliders to the left)
SSS - Low Quality for Directional and Omni Lights
60 is just fine tbh, but I will try 90, cheers

Bloom setting is a bit tricky because in some cases exposure all the way down can cause bright fog/blurry vision in labs

mine being at 70C with 2K on fans made it noisy. Its not a big deal on the thremals for sure, but the fun part was that nothing else does this.

depending on how old your rig is and the GPU itself, those temps are not healthy for the card long term. maybe look into replacing thermal paste if its an older model. That alone usually does the trick, next to cleaning it proper and possibly looking into additional cooling setups for it
