G.A.M.M.A. has a default mod list to make sure everyone has the same things, everything goes back to default when you update or you do a complete installation, it's normal.

It's the new DOF (Depth Of Field) effect. You can turn it off:
1) Open the game
2) Go in Mod Configuration Menu
3) Search SSS Settings
4) Disable whatever options you don't like and/or move sliders to the left
Shaders Cumulative Pack for GAMMA has to be enabled in MO2, otherwise the SSS settings won't be visible.

i think one of my extra mods (or perhaps the mags buyable at traders mod) is causing a bug with traders, specifically lemur is selling weapons when he shouldn't

all of warfare for the modpack as it comes is very unstable
there's an overhaul mod in #1035807043933720576 that says it has a working Warfare mode, the Wardogs milsim overhaul

and even if you don't care about the story, story NPCs are often also traders and mechanics + your only source of the psy helm
like... some people absolutely have played on warfare and say it's fine but it's very much "at your own risk" kind of a way to play

Haven't tried troubleshooting much because I'm not sure what is causing it, but I cleared shader cache and tried making a new save as well as using an older one..

because that key is guaranteed to not be used by anything else.
Those invalid oggs are footsteps the earth1 and grass1 etc are from the winter mod overwriting it I presume
However I did go in and delete the shitty inverno footsteps and replaced them with a few YAWM footsteps... same file names however just different sounds

I've noticed a few options for warfare mode in the mod manager. I want to play warfare but I've heard it was buggy (plus I got a fatal error crash last night with warfare). I was wondering if anyone knows either in game settings/ mods to turn on and mods to turn off to stabilize this mode.
There were performance hits with large amounts of people, but the fatal error happened when all of them were dead and on the ground. Maybe less stalkers would help? Idk, any advice would be helpful!

Got a bit of an issue with Body Health System: My health icon (the little man) is constantly missing the top part of his head, even tho I'm at full health.
Tried restarting game, still same problem
Even switched to text display for health and back and still missing top part of head

AH I think that's the one. You are not supposed to disable it in MO2, but turn off its features in the in-game mod config since it's deeply integrated

I don't know, but try the two mods first. If it works, then you might be able to disable limit fast travel.
The issue is that with how wild mod setups can look, diagnosing something after adding multiple mods and trying them out can be impossible. For example: The only other post that shared your exact error code in the entire discord was someone trying to run gamma without all the mods being installed properly

Well, if you now do a full re-install, I think you'll break your save as it'll reset every single mod config, setting, enabled mods, to default
But cancelling it in the middle of the process would make it even worse, if you started it. So assuming the mods weren't too intense, it might work?

Yeah it could be something like that. You can entirely turn off campfire saving without disabling the mod itself, however. Mod settings -> YACS -> uncheck everything that is an on/off switch

DO NOT ENABLE Weird Tasks Framework in your Mod Organizer, and do not try to install it manually. First of all, that mod isn't supported, and second - it's outdated, unfinished and unstable even on vanilla Anomaly.

can be more troublesome if the new update is large and adds new mods, because your custom modlist will not include them and you'll have to manually enable + place them in the right spot in the mod order
I see. Well to be fair, it does seem like a hassle. My load order is pretty much the vanilla one, only that I've disabled the necessary addons for hd models and mags redux, so I suppose it would be safe... though I might do that just in case...

Anyone can help me optimize my game? i have a RTX 3060 and a Ryzen 5 3500x 16gb ram but my game is literaly unplayable, i get like 15 fps, already did everything in #old-framerate-optimisation but still got the same fps
I followed the install instructions for HD Models. However I think I found an issue. Is there someone familiar with which mods are depend on "sim_isg_5", "sim_isg_0" and a few others. It seems as though these npc's ARE present in DICK's mod but not in HD Models. I think another mod is dependent on these.. so when DICK's is disabled and one is spawned, the game crashes.
Lower grass settings and play in windowed mode.
You should also run "Anomaly Launcher" and set the shadow resolution to the lowest setting.

Should report it on the hd models gamma patch page, there's a few models from dick integrated into gamma. For a bandaid fix - copy paste a model in hd models and rename it to the missing one.
I'm currently editing the character files to make a fix. The issue is that they're calling for outfits that aren't in HD Models. I'm just copying them and making new desc files. If it works I'll try to upload it somewhere with permission.

those are just cosmetic and minor UI changes, it shouldn't. if you're worried, just keep a copy of your saves somewhere.

I get heavy frame drops whenever I crouch or move items from one inventory to another. if I spam crouch I can reach 1 fps. any fix?
I think it's updated SSS shitting iteself because of the gamma cumulative shader pack or something. Do you have SSS updated manually or are you using the Gamma one?

Try disabling pick up animations in FDDA if you have that turned on and I believe the Summer redux pack has it's own shaders? Could be the problem.
I have 2 options in fdda and none of them is called pickup
Check which version of Screen Space Shaders you are using and if you have ANY mods that change shaders or textures. It is probably a water shader problem though, and I don't know how to fix it yet unfortunately
It's hand animations when picking something up, there should be an option for that in the MCM

Did you make sure to NOT install the shaders from the summer redux pack?
Those are all vanilla options afaik, so they shouldn't be a problem. You should still check your SSS version, that's most probably the reason

You should always disable the stuff you're instructed to do so if you take mods from #custom-textures . Those are foliage specific, so I don't think they should be causing issues with water, but you should be disabling everything mentioned anyways.
Do that, and idk if you tried, I just came into the convo and am too tired to scroll too far up, but try deleting the shader cache. That's always a must if you ever install custom textures.
And did you do any changes in Visuals > Advanced? If that's the case, try increasing the following settings:
Static Objects
Object Detail
Texture MIP bias
Texture Detail
it's the old version, you can try updating or doing the steps mentioned above. As I said, I have the same problem but never found a fix

Hello everyone i started playing gamma like 2 weeks ago and i got pretty far, i also downloaded some extra mods but like couple minutes ago i went to yandar cause i had a mission there and i got this crash. i check the anomaly files and i realized that it didnt have the guards_spanwer.script so i searched it in google and i saw that some people had kind of the same problem as me( not exactly the same) but i downloaded the guards_spawner.script just in case but nothing changed. If someone find a solution to this i'll be grateful

you can play it just don't be surprised if it crashes. and if it does crash you will largely be the one responsible for figuring out how to keep it going

Would anyone be able to help me fix this? I was using Hippos Shaders. Everything fine. I decided to test another weather and shader mod (Michiko's Weather Revamp + Piknik's shaders), again everything fine. Then I wanted to test out Michiko's Weathers with Hippos' Shaders. I decided it best to only have the bin folder from Hippos as I didn't want Hippos weathers to overwrite or mess up anything. And this is what I get. The only thing that changed was some added reshade files.

there's something using collection_far but collection_far isn't defined in it's correct file, thus the file that's trying to use it can't do it and crashes
If I search for collection_far in MO2 the only thing I get is thunderbolt_collections.ltx
that's with both mods on, off, and 1 on/off
then compare thunderbolt_collections.ltx of each one and see if they change
neither of them have a thunderbolt_collections
and i dont see anything about collection_far in the reshade folders either, which is really the only thing that has changed

Starting to think I somehow didn't even have michiko's on at all, but I'm still so confused about everything. The files in Michiko's weather doesn't look too much different than any other weather addon, but it's just not working. And some part of me thinks maybe it's the modified exe (since it brings up repos\xray-monolith-vs2022), but then again MrDemonized uses and uploaded the weather himself. He even based Dynamic Tonemapper on it

Upgrading the M700 with the Deer Hunter Kit, in some saves, can crash the game. If this happens, simply drop the weapon and the kit, open the debug mode with F7 and spawn the already modified weapon in your inventory.

How can I FULLY remove Dux's mod??? Even with it disabled it still tries to load sim_isg_0, sim_isg_5, sim_killer_0 and a few others that crash the game. Is there anyway to remove these "sim" for good?? Is there another mod somewhere adding these??
It's driving me crazy.. I've tried copying models from HD Models and renaming them. I've tried removing the sim lines from the character_desc files.. nothing has worked..

it's a optional addon, so it probably got disabled
enable it again and load your save if you wer playing with mags
There's gotta be another mod thats adding those sim lines back.. for example.. the default game should have sim_isg_(1-4) and dux's adds 0 & 5. But even with it disabled, 0 & 5 are still there, but there's no dux's models for them so it crashes every time they attempt to spawn..

Is there any way at all I can disable the durability on artifacts as I hate how you have to upgrade them. The only thing I can think off is disabling artifact reinvention entirely and I heard that will break a lot of things in game. I really don't wanna spawn artifacts in just to get them upgraded.
You can right click on "artifacts reinvention" and select "open in explorer".. then open gamedata/scripts and edit "grok_artefacts_random_conditon"

you may have it disabled and since the save has a thompson loaded, it crashes bc it cant find the addon in your files

Anyone played without 140-Weapon Parts Overhaul? I got it working without it, but I'm wondering if it'll break a gun/weapon somewhere down the line.
Cannot use some weappn mod kits. No mods installed that mess with weapons, etc.
Example: Mauser K98 (kits also aren't being hightlighted when hovering over the weapons).
In my installation the conflict-winning file weapon_addons.ltx is from GAMMA Weapon Pack. There the related upgrade kit is defined as "mauser_kit" (confirmed ingame in debug menu).
In the w_k98.ltx the kit is named as "wpn_k98_mauser_kit", which might be the reason why it doesn't work. But simply correcting that messes up something related to DLTX, because the game will crash on start with an error regarding "Duplicate section 'wpn_k98_mauser_kit' wasn't marked as an override".
I think somewhere in the process of updating GAMMA during the last weeks something obviously went wrong. As mentioned, I'm not using any mods that mess with these parts of the game at all. Does anyone have an idea, please? THX!
Btw, I've already performed all common steps to fix GAMMA. But that didn't help.

some outfit config is wrong and missing a section. It seems that the monlith outfit tries to access a section of a bandit berill outfit. But why? Monolith usually have their own, right? You have hd models or something like this?

Fixed it, a few days ago I installed hd models but in a different mo.2 profile and I remembered one of the steps was to reinstall gboobs bwrr patch and select the hd models patch, so I reinstalled again but this time with out the hd models patch and everything is back to normal
Does anyone know what is going on with the modkits for K98 and P220? These don't work. Are they still suppesed to be in the game? The definitions in the weapon configs and addon configs point to another definition (like "mauser_kit" is the def name of the k98 modkit ingame, while in k98 config it's "wpn_k98_mauser_kit". A bit confusing... changing the one in w_k98 config to the one that's defined in weapon_addons doesn't help it. Full install of GAMMA on a seperate profile results in the same thing. What am I missing?

You could. But if you don't know how that works, it's quite aweful to explain. But you could install OPO and load it last. It won't break anything but make reparing armors easier and different. More close to how WPO works.

Full GAMMA Installation does NOT remove saves, nor does it mean you are redownloading everything and it won't delete anything at all.
A full install will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall and fix them, and any that need to be updated will be updated.
In case you want to save your in-game or MCM settings (because the installer will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

you may have ticked the option for legs to dissapear on low crouch, so going low crouch and standing quickly could be the npc legs despawning and spawning quickly causing the lag

The install instructions for HD Models isn't correct and breaks a lot of things. You should disable "G.A.M.M.A. Actor Damage Balancer" as well. Having it installed breaks HD Models.

Figured it out. You have to install the new WPO and put it at the order the current GAMMA WPO (disable that), then any of the gunslinger mods below the load order of 70 so it needs to be 71, 72, etc. and that's it. That's how I got it to work for myself cause before it'll just crash for animation error

its a channel called texture mods and everything is posted there for public
Graupel is more of a texture pack than a general mod. it does not add shader filters or specific settings

So I got it running but the parallax doesn't seem to working. Not sure if this has any bearing but I have the modified exes and SSS 14.2 installed. Does either of those conflict with Shader GTR? Sorry, I'm not too good with this stuff.

So... A small question, after upgrading the Remington M700 with the upgrade kit (Magpul PRO), It stopped working with mag redux (The bullets go straight to the gun instead of using a Magazine from mags redux) Is that normal?

You'll need to delete your Anomaly folder.
- Open your Anomaly folder, if you have any save files you want to keep, take them from this folder:
Anomaly\appdata\savedgames - Delete your Anomaly folder
- Extract a clean Anomaly folder (VERSION 1.5.2 IS THE ONLY SUPPORTED VERSION FOR GAMMA, if you don't have it yet, type and send

I have a stranger glitch, my music keeps turning itself off. I'll put the music volume slider up half way, get music in the game for about an hour, then it'll just fade away and when I go to settings it's back down to zero. Is this a function of the dynamic music setting?

You definitely want to follow the steps in #old-framerate-optimisation and maybe consider using a lower DX version, since you are rocking a Fx 6300 as well, so you're set up might just not be up to task for vanilla gamma looks xD

I wanted to install the mod where you pull out your backpack and it takes a second or two
just the way gamma was made, you can still keep adding mods you want
But wasn't sure if there was an extra addon's list that is supported

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Yes, I'm playing on a fresh install from 3-4 days ago. It's happening only with assault rifles, and it's throwing ammo I have in my inventory, not from my mags!
ok. when you installed the newest version you used the bas patch and the augmented patch and the bas patch? mine is like so. Also as an aside if you check ammo check in this mod you can disable the other one as they get in eachothers way.
another thing is do you have the latest bas patch or just the gamma patch?
I have updated to the newest version of bas using the unnofficial patch and for me the mag drop doesnt really happen. it happened one time before but I dont personally see the bug happening.

you could try also using the update to go back to the older version of mags for gamma. although if you crash like I do that might not be preferable
I tried to reinstall it with the last version and the same options as yours (with the github lonk provided in the discord you gave me) but it ctd on load.

you may need to update bas as well. sorry I got distracted.
to bring it back you can just go to gamma folder, go to modpack installer, download new data then install add ons only
that will restore it to the gamma version and should stop any more crashes
