AVX is a cpu support options, possibly for intel specifically, but if u check #old-framerate-optimisation theres info in there about how it works

AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

I kinda miss the knife requirement for looting mutants and all the animations and the like, can you enable them in MCM? Can't seem to find any option.
those animations were disabled because they caused save corrupting bugs

it might but i wouldnt count on it because the issue is present with any animation, its just that the fdda ones caused the issue way more often then any others
!busyhands is the bug
DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

Wondering if anyone has tried the nvg consistency add on to make the nvgs all be black? I tried setting it up but now my nvgs are all without icons, i checked the files and the icons are all there and should be working its not like the addon is bad or anything afaik

Grok is trying to release 1.0 ASAP, he's working now (as in, he have a real job) so his modding time is limited. For now, he's doing the same things he has been doing for months: polishing, bug fixing and releasing (almost) daily updates.
Also, Boomsticks and Sharpsticks is in the process of being updated (any day now) and this unfortunately means a delay in the release of 1.0...
However.
G.A.M.M.A., as it is right now, can already be considered 1.0, because the actual 1.0 will literally just be a more organised mod list (once and for all), so no disabled stuff, no useless mods, etc.
As for actually new things to be added, he has already said not to expect the world for 1.0.

hi guys so im trying to tweak my gamma gameplay and turned off a few mods, and now when i'm lowering/raising my weapon, a weird sound plays? something like activating a nightvision or something and i dont know what's causing this. I've already checked the keybinds in MCM and in the game settings and i only see the "B" button bound to lower/raise weapon
did u disable or mess with the sound overhauls or jsrs or whatever?

yeah u gotta make sure those are set up as intended
so what i did is
- copied another stalker anomaly folder/files
- installed another M02
- used the mods and the profile in the gamma mo2 folder in my mo2
- profile got messed up, and all of the mods were disabled
- tried to enable my desired mods
i only did this because i think the reshade in the gamma game folder is making my game drop fps and tried to enable mods manually and carefully as to know what's causing the lags
but i'll try the JSRS and sound overhauls thanks
youre not going to remove that sound unless you remove it from BaS
Yeah thats usually gonna mess things up a lot unless ur being super observant of all the changes and know that its all meant to work, so u dont forget something like the sound mods. Id highly recommend looking up the uh !update or !install commands in #🤖bot-commands theres a easy way to check/update everything and get vanillaish settings back as those are the most stable. I think the only good way to try other profiles setups would be via the #1035807043933720576 mod called stalker gamma extended or something like that? U still gotta manually install the addons but it does all the other work for you so u can more easily switch profiles/weather/plants n textures and things....
but yeeah i had a lot of issues with stuff like u mentioned so i made myself a new install of anomaly and gamma with all default settings and then manually adjusted things back to where i wanted them for stuff like my larger pda addon that moves the whole thing closer, or other settings im sure ive tweaked
just dont use the key that makes that sound, simple as
but yeah reshade is a minor inconvenience i love it now because im getting better performance by not using SSAO stuff or AA stuff in game and isntead through reshade, also it will apply to my other .fx's im using unlike the in game aa stuff
i think the default gamma reshade stuff or the default agressor reshade stuff that u gotta manually drag into your anomaly mod is decent only like max 10 fps hit usually like a 5 fps but i think im geting more fps than that from the AA and ssdo ssao? stuff being disabled probably a lot more than im losing

i am also using agressor, but i'm also trying to tweak it to my liking
i think u can check #old-framerate-optimisation for most the good fps suggestions
if u want advise or to see my setup/changes i can show you, im trying to get max performance, with some improvements to shadows, AA stuff, really good looking DOF thats pretty minimal (helps loads with foliage looking way better and more like dense with leaves) and then some minor level adjustments and then a bloom+hdr fx to make the lighting look waaay better
hdr basically will just add indirect lighting in that looks pretty great

I've been able to create new base types for ammo and I did it with changing the M82 to .50 BMG hsing custom mags in 12.7x99 and got it working in game so I have no idea why the mags won't work on this, could be because all of the .ltxs for it have "mod-" in front or because they aren't going in the normal weapons folder, idk
where they working before you changed that?

also I forgot one thing how do I spawn the stuff with debug mode in gamme, I turned it on but its not on when I start it

You have to select Anomaly launcher in MO2 under the drop down with DX11(AVX) and stuff
And then tick debug in the launcher and play through that

No issues, i use it all the time. There's limits to it though, they can't be more than 300m away, and you can't teleport them from a different map/zone

ok is there something i can turn off or on that prevents ai from literally running from the top side of red forest ALL the way down to me to kill me because i stepped on a tree twig or something stupid shit? I get it's suppose to be hard, but when im literally not moving or shooting and every ai in the red forest is running up on me

Well, At he same, it's one of its best point. This game has better AI than a TON of AAA games on the market, and this is what makes fight enjoyable imho 👌 (considering it's an oooold game repacked, and pinped to the top too ^^ )

what does fluid relations do exactly and how can you influence your factions relations?
as far as i know factions will interact dynamically making friends and enemies with others
so bandits are usually enemies with most factions but with some luck and or help by you, they could become allies with them (bandits friends with loners and duty for example) unlikely but it works
when does the value of the relation change?
when enemies or allies of that faction are killed by another. ie: bandits shooting military will worsen their relation with them but increase it with factions that are also enemies with them (i think?) not actually certain all i know is that factions will change allies and enemies over time

if you want a more linear playthrough with set enemies then no, but if you want your allies to come and go then yes
also your goodwill with a faction can affect it too unless you turn on "goodwill resets with faction change" or something like that

Hello, I have uninstalled the mod called 'fillable canteens' due to it interfering with crafting recipes, however now when I launch the game it crashes because the 'empty_canteen' item it added to the game no longer exists. The crash log shows it crashes when loading objects into the game, how can I remove the item from the object list?

Ok so im trying out the Mags Redux mod, but how am I supposed to reload the 2barrel shotgun? I think im missing a keybind somewhere, and reloading doesnt insert a fresh full mag into the gun and i have to do it manually from inventory

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
- After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file.
The only 100% safe way to do so is by loading a save where you DON'T have the mod enabled OR by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.
We also have this POSSIBLE workaround if you want to disable Mags Redux in the middle of your game:

Thank you! I've actually pretty much never played stalker. I jumped on anomaly for a few seconds to try it out then just got GAMMA I decided to try stalker since I saw youtubers play it. I guess I should look through all the optional mods. I'm not sure how this works but is it safe for me to just create a GAMMA 2 profile on MO2? I want to make sure I still have the original modlist in case I accidentally add a wonky mod and can't remember which it was.
In MO you can copy profiles with the options near the top. I have... 4? So far. Worse case, you can reset the default profile.

99% of guns dont have an animation
even idle animation?
probably have 'busy hands fix' enabled in ammo check MCM tab, if you disable it, then the weapon will hide and then appear again telling you how many ammo you have
yeah doesn't use idle animation, the only weapon that has ammo check is vssk by barry bogs

My bottom left UI doesen't have radiation bar, doesen't have a psy-bar and is missing something else as well. I'm not sure why its doing this. This only started happening like 30 minutes ago, after i changed my UI from Melting Winters from the Icy UI to Vanilla

i keep getting stashes in locations that have no stashes in them ,not sure if this is the right place to ask for help, searched both inside and outside and theres nothing there, even fast traveling to the stash only brings me where I already was

I send you the mod there too, what I did If you like to know in here E:\Games\Stalker\Gamma\GAMMA RC3\mods\LEWD_Snipex_AlligatorV\gamedata\configs\magazines\weapons I added [wpn_snipex_g]:wpn_m98b to w_snipex.ltx. and changed the wpn_vssk to m98b that has the 338 ammo, as I said could not find a 50 cal mag so yea. and in E:\Games\Stalker\Gamma\GAMMA RC3\mods\LEWD_Snipex_AlligatorV\gamedata\configs mod_system_wpn_snipex_alligator.ltx and mod_system_wpn_snipex_caiman.ltx I changed the ammo type, line ;shell_particles = weapons\magnum_300 and line ammo_class = ammo_magnum_300, ammo_magnum_300_bad, ammo_magnum_300_verybad to both files. thats it
Also it is in doc. w_snipex.ltx you add wpn_snipex_g as that is the name of the alligator sniper.

i have been getting alot of crashes on head Decapitation since update, first crashes ive had, the sound it makes stutters then game crashes, any1 know what this mod is called so i can remove it?
I was able to make a .50BMG mag to use for it btw, just copied the format of the M82 mag and followed the importer instructions

I made a base_127x99.ltx file for the basetypes, and put in "[snipex_12.7x99]" and then under it "caliber = ammo_50_bmg, ammo_50_bmg_bad, ammo_50_bmg_verybad", then just for magazines2 made a mag_127x99.ltx files and copied the format for the M82 mag and just changed the 12.7x55s to 12.7x99s, m82 to snipex, and basetype to the snipex_12.7x99, and applied it in the w_snipex file
Update the game properly using the guide in #💽how-to-update , and if the crash happens again post the log here.

Uhhh I think the default keybind is shift +f or shift + t or something like that. Check your keybinds if neither of those work.

This will be the fourth, or fifth time this crash has happened. Someone speculated Mag redux, i updated it, still happened. Someone said it could be from the Tagged Patches mod, i removed that still happens. This time i was able to catch what i was doing, and it was right when i was shifting over an item in an npc's dead body looting.

And looks like that is the error as well. !ERROR Can't get item game object!
So either a mod that mag requires isn't enabled, or something with your base install is missing/failed install/etc.

The missing thing seems related to GAMMA UI mod, it seems to be the only one with a system.ltx? I'm probably understanding this wrong though.. as for the !ERROR Can't get item game object! I've had this happen while i loot an assortment of items, always when im looting too..

here, what I did was adding a nil checking (you can verify it yourself with diff checker) for items
because somehow items always become missing
you can notice it if you try to transfer items and hear no sound
never crashed anymore when I'm adding nil checking to that function

A lot of animations are disabled because of the busy hands bug, it completely breaks your save if you don't catch it, and a lot of people don't.
busy hands bug?

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement
unless someone digs through the anomaly engine and figures out a complete fix, busy hands will always be around
its just that some animations cause the bug more then others, like skinning animations and the backpack one, while others cause it very rarely, like gun animations and the quick melee swing

hi i disabled Screen Space Shaders without reinstalling Beef's NVG properly, and ive been getting this error before i load up my save

I can't reload at all. Followed the guide exactly and made sure to change the unjam key. Cannot reload except through the inventory menu.
what i did to fix this kind of problem is to delete the entire downloads folder (gamma>gamma rc3>downloads) then follow the steps for full gamma installation in #how to install, this will reinstall all of the mods as they were by default, essentially a reset. only do this if you're ok with losing all of your settings and custom mods. its a massive pain in the ass for ppl with slow internet but its one way to fix the problem. a clean slate.
instead maybe do try reinstalling beefs nvgs and clearing your shader cache

were you changing the weather with debug menu? that can mess with the sun/moons brightness, you can press F5 while in the debug menu to refresh the game, or simply reload your game.

I got a very annoying bug in Cordon and Red Forest. My health bar glitches, when I want to chose between ammo types the fov and mouse sensitivity messes up and I cant change maps. After spending 2-3 minute in this heavenly version of Cordon (or Red Forest), I cant open my inventory nor use any zoom on my rifle. Reloading previous saves wont help, because I get this bug everytime I join Cordon or Red Forest. Quicksaves and campfire saves helps me out sometimes, but its rather random. My humble question is, what should I do? (pardon my english)

Now that it's working, balance-wise, should I play with the trader sells mags mod? Seems like traders just have a millions mags for every gun, which defeats the fun of finding them, but I've heard some guns are unusable otherwise.

DO NOT ENABLE any of the disabled animations. These are the root cause of multiple animation loops that can break the game, to the point where you have to delete your current save file.
This bug is called "busy hands", an animation loop that prevents the player from interacting with the action keys, except for movement. This bug can also and especially be found with vanilla animations. Try not to spam them.
If you are still unsure whether you have it or not, try to do any of the following:
- interact with objects or people
- use a weapon (you shouldn't even be able to see it when you select it)
- open your inventory
- drink/eat/sleep
- check your HUD in the bottom left corner
If you cannot do any of this, it probably means you do have busy hands.
The only possible way to, maybe, remove it completely, is to disable any extra activated animation that was previously disabled. You will also have to go back to a previous save where you are 100% sure that you don't have busy hands.
Certified DISABLED animations that bring busy hands:
- Opening/closing backpack and any option related to this
- Animation for skinning mutants
- Disassembling objects with Left-Alt pressed
- Picking up objects where you can see the hand movement

G.A.M.M.A. isn't built with Warfare in mind and Warfare, per se, have bad perfomance, bugs, issues, etc., this is why it isn't recommended.
You can play it if you really want to, but forget about #🔨base-gamma-support, this channel support is only for G.A.M.M.A. vanilla (which basically means no extra stuff at all) and is also used by Grok for bug fixing.
Since G.A.M.M.A. vanilla doesn't use Warfare, you'll need to use #🔨modded-gamma-support.

this usually means the game is stuck in some kind of loop trying and failing to load something, usually added in a mod, and it runs out of its alloted memory doing so. generally indicates some kind of corrupted mod install

Only additional mods I have enabled are Quick Companion Teleport, Unlimited Stash Weight, the stutter fix, Full Upgrades and Inventory Weights Revised (I think both are in #🖇old-mods-posting), and Simplified Vision and Minimal Minimap from #1035807043933720576

In order to properly enable Mags Redux:
- Enable
Mags Redux (Disable G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload)(the mod under "Optional") - Disable
G.A.M.M.A. Unjam Reload on the same key(yes it's a mod, no it isn't a keybind) - Enable
Ammo Check(this is a mod as well) - While in game, check your keybinds for RELOAD and UNJAM in Settings > Controls > Bindings
- After successfully following all steps, you need to Left-Alt + left click the magazine to add to your loadout, before a reload can work
Bonus) You can also enableMags Buyable at Tradersif you want, it's a mod already inside your mod list
KEEP IN MIND that once you enable Mags Redux, you can't disable it in your current save file.
The only 100% safe way to do so is by loading a save where you DON'T have the mod enabled OR by starting a new game WITHOUT Mags Redux.
We also have this POSSIBLE workaround if you want to disable Mags Redux in the middle of your game:

Hey yall. I am crashing every time im loading into wild territories. It gets me through the whole load then crashes right before spawing me in. This happens from any direction of entry into wild or from fast travel. Attached is the most recent crash log. This only started after about 30 hours on this save file. Most of my settings are still vanilla except for controls. Please help if you can, thanks.

Can anyone recommend a good retexture of the artifact detectors? Been using the veles and it makes me so sad to see how low res it is.
Follow the guide, but also make sure to check your reload keybind. I had a hell of a time trying to make it work, only to find it changes the reload key to F10 by default.
Speaking of which, I'll ask again since I didn't get much response earlier. With Mags Redux, would you suggest playing with or without the Traders sell Mags mod? It seems traders selling magazines defeats a lot of the joy in finding magazines in the wild, but I've heard some guns can't be used unless you can buy the magazines since they will never spawn in the wild. Don't know if that's true or not.
There doesn't happen to be a mod that allows you to crafts mags, is there?
I tried it without and it is super rare to get the high capacity mags as drops. Think that is why people recommend using the traders sell em addon.

Looks like mags redux should be easily modifiable to adjust for drop rate, etc.
Although looking at those numbers (they seem to be percentage chance of drop), the chance of getting an extended or better mag isn't that low.

Hopefully im not too late replying to it, started a new playthrough and repairing one myself, the drum magazines are classified as large mags, for which the early suits dont have a slot for
Even so, later suits only typically have one or two large mag slot, so were stuck role-playing as ww2 soviet infantry that were given a single ppsh drum 
There's a mod from efp that adds mag pouches you can add to your belt slot to give you more mag slots
