when installing a new reshade
it said I need to tick the legacy
but reshade later version dont have it anymore
Oh that, are those shaders needed anymore?
I have no idea
Some older presets still use them.
U can add filmic tonemap and play around with it a bit if u wanna make gamma reshade more moody. @vocal pier
Also as grok said increase ambient light and bloom if thats ur thing.
There are other shaders that come with gamma that u can use as well just try them out one by one see whats floats ur boat.
You might find older ReShade versions here if they include what you want
Hey, if anybody is interested, I got Stalker Expeditions reshade/graphics overhaul working with gamma, looks REALLY nice one you tweak the bloom and sharpness
what exactly do u mean by got it working? isn't it just a reshade preset to put in?
also what tweaks did you do in reshade settings?
The Expedition reshade/graphics overhaul IS a reshade, but the graphics overhaul portion also changes some textures, and seemed to break everything when fully integrated. I turned off NeoBloom and FGFX: :LSPOIrr, toned down the bloom [quint_bloom.fx] so it wouldnt be so intrusive, tweaked the smart sharpen to be sharper, aswell as turned on DethHaze, Filmgrain and Vibrance.fx
all can be tweaked in game to fit what youre looking for
Take a screenshot
I'm pretty sure it would like you watch the world through dirty glasses
can u show me how inventory looks?
can be a bit iffy, this is with DepthHaze off
With DethHaze on
Though, i just found another Depth Haze option that doesnt blur UI
Another screenshot for reshade reference
It's on the scavenger loadout I believe
Not sure if difficulty changes it, but hard difficulty aswell
oh no shit ive been playing survivalist all this time
damn
lemme check if it actually is on scavenger
you can start with it on survivalist as well, its in the nato factions starting loadouts

fair point
Thanks for the pics👍🏻 @uncut ingot
@uncut ingot The issue with bloom "Expedition" style was especially glaring in the menus
Yeah i hated that, the issue with my tweaks no longer persists, the NeoBloom and preset bloom was really bad, so I just turned off the NeoBloom and toned down the regular bloom by ~80%, now there's next to no menu bloom
The best thing to do, in the current situation would be to take various screenshots (different weathers & times via debug mode) and see how it turns out, then possibly post it in #╟📸screenshots
This way, it can show people how it would mostly look like and then make the decision to use it as well or not
Yeah, ill do that soon, I tested in about 20 seperate new games to differ weathers, though i didn't take any screenshots yet, still tweaking the reshade to get it perfect, do you know if there's any way to grab a file with my tweaked presets? would it just be the reshade ini
I did test a few more settings, magic HDR, Neobloom etc, but there was some issues with certains weathers or time where it wouldn't look as great, or blinding sometimes
Well, there is the current preset (ini) you're using, once it's saved, just keep it somewhere, or alternatively, zip it alongside the "reshades-shaders" folder
nice, do you want me to @ you once i get it to preference?
Ha, I'd be curious to see the screenshots once the tweaking is done, you can ping me in #╟📸screenshots when you'll do the posting
Yea u will need to supply the actual shader files as well if u wanna give someone the edits u made. The reshade preset ini only saves which shaders are activated not the values u choose for them afaik
Yeah just installed it finally, but it doesn't look like yours at least in terms of darkness, maybe other values aren't the same either.
Also the reshade made my detector screen even darker, is there any way to fix that?
PPFX SSDO AND PROD80_03_SHADOWS should have a role in that
though, it shouldnt be bad with my presets, i just dont know how to export them
I only included the shader files above aswell as the shaders file in gamedata
Are you using the same addons ? A reshade wouldn't work the same without the same environmental setting
yeye, the only thing instructed to turn off is the aggressor reshade in MO2
Well, the question was actually for the other guy having trouble with it
Sorry, didn't ping the actual person
@cyan orchid
i might be the smartest person ever
Try including the user ltx as well, and he should delete his shader cache before putting yours, also make sure he selects your preset specifically in the Reshade menu in game
ight, reuploading with everything that includes "Shader" in it, aswell as user file
Make sure, everything under "shader" in MO2 is still activated
Yeah, I fixed it turns out my light settings were cranked up, went back to 1-1.1

only thing I can't figure out is the detector screens being very very dim
Veles is legit not even readable
it was already kinda dimm'd with the gamma reshade
that, im not too sure how to manage, my only idea about fixing it would be messing with the settings i listed beforew
Yeah I turned it off but it barely helped, so Im just gonna leave it on for the looks haha
i'll try to mess around with it more once im done ghost hunting
Haunted house? Must be hard to deal with it.
phasmophobia haha
The mod is awesome and I want to really improve the graphic, what is the best reshade for this mod?
Best depends on your taste tbh
Take a look around, scroll up
Travel to the past
Reshades can also be found in the screenshots tab, check the pins
Can anyone recommend some good looking reshades?
i'm using a tweaked version of piknik: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/piknik-a-naturalistic-reshade-preset
just don't install the weathers portion, gamma's weathers work great with it
👌
speaking of weathers, i'm amazed at the weathers in gamma so far. here's how my game is looking with piknik + gamma
any impact on performance?
damn thats good
Thanks 🙏
@wicked saddle i dont do anything with the gamedata folder, right?
thats where weather stuff is
you installed it with mo2?
i think so yeah. i just let gamma overwrite mine
correct
wheres it at in your load order
perf wise, it comes with an SSDO implementation which you don't need if you are using Ascii1457's shaders that come with gamma. thats likely the slowest thing, ambient light is also basically a giant blur convolution, also kinda slow
um, i don't remember, on my work PC atm. i just let gamma overwrite everything from it and disabled the reshade gamma comes with
since reshade.ini replaces stuff and so does reshade-shaders, im assuming only the preset itself
you need the shaders that are included with it, you can leave ReShade.ini iirc
but again, you can just include the whole thing and disable aggressor which is gammas included reshade
to summarize, just import the whole thing, disable aggressor/any other reshades, let gamma overwrite the weathers/anything else
you will likely need to do a lot of dynamic tonemap tweaking
did you disable aggressor?
yes
thanks for this. looks so fuck'n good
its my favorite! looks so filmic
minus the jagged textures far away from me
i think thats cuz my AA is on 0
final shot and combination/version of stuff im using
(this is in great swamps)
if anyone wants their game to look like this, ping me
i havent tested this as night or any other weather tho.
so...
and im going for invictus achievement so i cant use weather editor from debug
i had to REALLY mess w my dynamic tonemap
if i turn off the reshade its way too dark bc ambient light adds a lot of floor
How do I do that?
main menu -> mod configuration menu -> dynamic tonemap. if you mouse over any of the values in there, there is a description of what it does
Thanks! Can I also ask what settings are you using? mine, doesn't look as good tbh :p
sec
not final, still tweaking! but should be a good starting point
@modern nova ^
oh and my r2_sun_lumscale is at 1.75, which feels a tad high imho but its fine for now
turn off the reshade's ssdo because gamma has ssdo built in
that is unless you want your game to look like far cry 3 lmao
Someone mentioned ReShade's ssdo because as I remember it's effecting also characters which would create shadows from their arms etc.
Correct me if im wrong
But it doesn't worth the effort to correcting for every weather, place and most importantly performance.
don't mind that my limbs are pretty much just sewn together with bandages. I just solo raided radar and went straight to red forest
yeah and obviously it will go over UI and whatnot
i tend to only use reshades for color grading and light based effects. anything that uses depth should be done in-engine imho
fwiw MOST of the character of that piknik reshade is in the LevelsPlus and Ambient Light shaders
Your sunrays and shadows look gorgeous here btw. did you just crank up everything to high?
yeah i am running it on a 3090 😬
also have sunrays min at 0.05
and ty!
running on an rtx 3060(95watt) lmao
honestly that's probably enough to almost max it out? most of the performance hit is grass because it's rendered pretty inefficiently
i actually noticed that
depends on resolution i suppose
my grass is on 90 distance
what about ur other settings? max everything except ssdo?
i think so yeah, not in-game atm but more or less maxed out. i have my grass size a bit larger (1.1 i think) because it makes the zone look a bit more wild and helps with density
nice. thanks!
np!
i'm trying to install this but i don't know what i'm supposed to check when installing Reshade, they ask me to selects effects package to install, could someone help me please?
reshade installation guide: https://reshade.me/forum/general-discussion/2501-reshade-3-0-guide-for-newcomers
you basically just need to get to step 5
and then install piknik
maybe i don't understand properly but i don't see any instructions on what to check here :
don't worry about that!
piknik comes with its own effects
if you want to add more to fool around feel free but if you add a lot i believe there is an initialization time penalty for reshade when the game starts
ho ok thanks you very much, so i unchek all to just have picnick effects
yeah i usually leave the defaults
Do you have pics of that setup ?
Do u mean screenshots or the setup params?
Screenshot :)
here! #╟📸screenshots message
actually i'll just paste them
the first two are the same/similar settings in my other anomaly install
how do we add reshade shaders without removing gamma stock shaders?
do i just run the reshade installer?
or put the files in reshade-shaders
download the preset you like and put it into your reshade folder and select the right profile in-game @granite quiver

i dont see a difference
soft shadows
grass shadows
and the scene isnt the best for noticing the difference
lemme try with lightsticks
its fuzzier
the fuzzines is purely solaris
yeah it isnt that obvious on screenshots
it is very subtle anyway
and situational, as it's a depth-based shader, not real raytracing
it's gonna look good with lightsources like anomalies
i imagine itd be hell identifying enemies in grass though
it is anyway on high grass settings
i have enough of a hard time with the gamma default seeing whos shooting at me lol
The problem with most effects added, they can look good on certain settings, but awful on other weathers/time of the day, make sure you try with Debug mode extensively to get it more accurately, careful with the main menu as well, for exemple, when you start a new game, ray tracing will make it glitch a bit
it's more visible here
i mean, it's a thing, but it's just a gimmick anyway
yeah, the difference is visible only on fullscreen
Is there a way to reset the reshade settings because I removed all of them and I can't set it back to default in the ingame menu
Thanks
you dont need to move all of them, the reshade is in the bin folder
well shit i already did that lmao
so just move that folder and replace
its fine
it will reset your game settings tho
Wait what is the raytraced part lol
You’d have to have information about offscreen scene content which… there’s no way for a reshade to conceivably do that
reshade "raytracing" is ray-traced global illumination (RTGI), which is entirely possible for reshade to execute so long as it has depth buffer access
but the guy developing the shader is a bit mentally ill™️ and wants $5 a month for the shader or he'll cry on reddit
First of all, it's possible @wicked saddle but that also means that you gotta work your ass optimizing and make that thing look good. Apart from that, it supposed be to be named screen space. Also you don't need much off screen info if it's not reflections.
He's gonna make it available for free when it's completed, I dunno if he's milking it or not but there's no other person trying to achieve this so ge can go behind a paywall and to be clear that shit ain't plug n play, it's completely premium stuff.
Ray traced gi absolutely requires off screen info, sorry. Depth buffer access can get you a (low quality) normal to reflect/refract rays with but fundamentally you are missing data in a screen space context
Not to rain on the parade. SSGI is totally something you could do in a reshade but as you can imagine there’s a lot of temporal artifacts and popping
Ray Tracing requires it yes hence the name of it but offline RT implementations are not that rare, you just bake the shadows and GI into the engine scene by scene. What this is all about it real time and it's the most difficult thing GPU wise. SSGI is there, there are 2 shaders I know which is SSGI itself and PCGI (RadiantGI).
What I meant about work your ass optimising and make it look good was the RTGI shader, It'll look disgusting otherwise and just will hog your GPU entire time.
Not every engine's depth access is the same and the implementation of post-processing really differs from game to game, you'll notice a game has HBAO+ but still shitty depth information hence the disgusting finished frame, other has only SSAO but looking great. Some has I guess better depth access than other, might be wrong tho.
ahhh yeah, it definitely depends on the game! (it's usually either 24 or 32 bits). i wish i could find the current rtgi source somewhere because it still seems "too good to be true" -- you certainly can get a low quality, filtered normal to bounce a ray with from the depth buffer, but even if you deal with the offscreen bounces somehow... how do you know for example the difference between a mirror and a window based on color info alone? or the difference between emissives and reflectives. it just seems like you'd need a lot more info that reshade straight up doesn't have access to, or would require a specific implementation per game
all that said! i found a few demos of it and while it does break down pretty bad in indoor scenes, outdoor scenes where you only need a few bounces look pretty nice!
I don't know details sbout bits used and off screen info but heard about some tricks they used in Metro Exodus to keep it eye candy and kinda performance friendly since it's using every ray tracing available.
And yeah indoor optimization was pretty bad, lots of cuts and pixels here and there but i thought that was happening because i had set rays low or I had AMD card somehow. Thanks for clearing that up.
Piknik's
mine looks that way with ppfx shader
nice! i recommend disabling piknik's SSDO -- it isn't as good as the one gamma comes with, tends to shimmer a lot
when I look towards the sky everything else becomes dark. Is there a way to turn that off
Does someone know?
Eye adaptation?
any suggestions for some visual variations in GAMMA? The default is too dark to my liking. And changing the brightness and contrast from reshade menu is not what I am looking for 🙂
Then use the basic image lightning in your settings or use the tone map in the console
It would be eye adaptation either in the reshade settings or possibly a setting in console. in console type 'adapatation' there might be soemthing there.
reshade home menu returns nothing useful
The only other thing, if not reshade, may be r2_tonemap_adaptation in console in the game
If it's not that then it's 100% reshade, thers usually adaptation settings or configs buried in each ticked option. Untick and re-tick them one-by-one and explore their variables by scrolling through the stuff it does in reshade
i think my discord messed up
i asked a question here but it disappeared
does anyone know which shaders i should try?
You asked it thrice with this one, this is why it's not here anymore
Yes you did, here and in #╓☢stalker-chat
Don't worry about it, all good
All these unanswered questions
combination of r2_tonemap_adaptation and r2_tonemap_amount most likely
although, you kinda want it to some extent unless you plan on making r2_sun_lumscale_amb really high so that your interiors are bright enough in relation to the sun
Experimenting with Abnormal Weather 0.8 addon + me own tweaks to the normal gamma preset to be a bit more filmic and closer to the original games in color, somewhat
that compass hud though
hahahaha
I quite like it, its fun to use
Makes working with the map on the pda a bit more intuitive
is it not bound to show on a given keypress?
the compass? you can enable and disable hud by pressing numpad enter but i dont know if it has its own keybind
Hi guys, i want a reshade with my pc specs: i5 6500k gtx 1060 3 gb 16gb ram what reshade should i use and the settings for it
A reshade that keep my pc run about 60 fps
Just put the reshade in your bin folder and test it. It shouldn`t reduce your fps.
Additional you can try to deactivate enhanced shaders for more fps. More under: https://discord.com/channels/912320241713958912/929309266056196096
so i'm getting this crash when trying to add shaders to gamma. I also get a different crash when i remove enhanced shaders. i have tried clearing out the shader cache and that doesn't fix the problem.
Hey if I get this correctly to install autumn redux I need to proceed like this tell me if there is something wrong :
I) I Clear shaders cache on the launcher
II)Copy appdata\user.ltx + bin (the whole folders -right?)
Del appdata\shaders_cache (from the directory C:\Anomaly\appdata\shaders_cache -right?)
III) install add-on on the mod organizer by selecting raw winrar
IV) Then when I install the add-on it prompts me to choose among four boxes to tick > should I tick them all ? or should I tick only the first one ?
the four boxes :
- autumn season redux
2)autumn season redux shaders
3)Autumn Season Redux Animated Main Menu
4)Vanilla Anomaly and Redux 1.1 fix
V) Should I disable any other mods ?
The other graphic mods I already disabled are : dead bushes and no leaves
I understand that you need to disable agressor but the box is already unticked : What do I do to disable it then ? i already tried searching for the agressor pack in the list and I cant find it only the Awene that is already unticked
VI) place it AFTER Agressor Grounds if you want to keep GAMMA Weathers,
or place it just BEFORE/ABOVE Particles Cinematic VFX3.5 1.1.2 BOTZ YAWM
My goal would be to have the fog and the summer vegetation but brown like during the autumn
is it where I am heading ? where should i place it after agressor or before Particles ?
Step II should go first
You need to Install it via MO2 Becore/Above Particle Cinematic here, as for Agressor, it's because the instructions are a little bit outdated, since it wasn't unticked before, so you can skip that since it's unticked already, you should make sure that Dead Bushes, Gardener of the Zone & No Leaves are unticked as well
And for IV) you need 1 + 2 + 4, as 3 is entirely optional, it does change the main menu so it's up to you
Then you can delete Shaders cache before launching the game, see if it works
Thank you a lot it is actually working alright but for this weird glow at night it can be tweaked but still does goes a bit off with farway texture (water) and the night becomes too light
You can use debug weather (F7 then 3) and tweak ambient light
Careful though, it's a small value
What settings should i use because it doesnt look like eft
Im playing on dx 11
It will never look like eft cuz it‘s not.
It`s just a simple reshade and it will never be like Tarkov. But it can give you some vibes... You wanted a reshade without a performance loss. Nothing more. Just use GAMMA Reshade if do not want to experiment with Reshades. GAMMA Reshade does a great job!
omg
What settings/reshade/whatever
Piknik Reshade and Samlo's Dynamic Tone-Map Settings #╟🎑reshades message
damn, that's great that it changes depending on the weather
I used those too but my game looked nothing like that
what res and what kind of anti-aliasing is applied ingame? @weak cave
x2 anti-aliasing, 1080p
Yeah i tried it it's nc
nc?
it is bugged for me
the tarkov reshade adds bugged shadows when I zoom in with a scope
anyway this is now what my grim / gritty reshade looks like. It looks great for me without being too much
to install it just put this ini into overwrite\bin of gamma folder
has the problem gone away for you? what does it look like?
a question about reshade: if I play around with a preset defined by an .ini file, it seems my settings for that preset are saved. But where are those settings saved? in the same .ini file or somewhere else?
If you are talking about reshade settings, it's reshade.ini but other than that, it should be on preset name's own ini file
I'm not aware of any other file
I installed autumn redux and this is what I see
the problem is with the filter PPFXSSDO@SSDO.fx
Ah you talking about the shader
this is from the included ReshadePreset.ini in autumn redux
Google search and and you can find the shader if you think it's broken. Other than that, if you wanna reset the shader's settings, you can do it in the page below shaders list one. Find the settings that shader offers, right click on shader and set it to default but it's gonna overwrite the settings so take a backup
I read that the problem may be we already have an ssdo in gamma?
I feel like this should be a big warning to people trying to install autumn redux
what do we have to disable for gamma for autumn redux
SSDO is in Anomaly's own graphics settings.
wow
I fixed it by checking "load only enabled effects"
What the heck? Disabled effects still have an effect?
apparently a disabled effect called levels.fx was interfering with PPFXSSDO@SSDO.fx
how can a disabled effect interfere?
@shrewd bramble I read the text file of reshadepreset.ini and it says another effect that should be on is Smart_Sharp@Smart_Sharp.fx
but this is not in the shader search path
it's in shaders\AstrayFX
so I had to add that to search path
Dunno how things work in preset ini's but that effect is just a sharpening one
But most of the time, your GPU's own sharpening setting provides better experience performance wise
anyway for anyone trying to install autumn redux after me:
0) back up user.ltx and the bin folder of Anomaly. you know the drill
- from the mod archive file, when loaded in MO2, tick only 1+2+4. do NOT tick the last box "Copy to the Stalker Anomaly folder (Reshade and configs)."
- That folder "Copy to the Stalker Anomaly folder (Reshade and configs)" has 2 subfolders: "bin" and "appdata". the appdata one goes to Anomaly folder. but the "bin" content MUST go to gamma's overwrite\bin folder
- Delete appdata\shaders_cache and tick delete shaders cache in anomaly launcher. you know the drill
- Launch game. Now you must change reshade's settings. add AstrayFX to effect search path, and__ tick "load only enabled effects" (VERY CRUCIAL!)__ like in my screenshot. You may have to restart to see Smart_Sharp enabled
- if you encounter flickering shadows, that's because SSDO.fx may not work well. Disable it and just rely on default ssdo if you want
After playing with it
It looks worse than gamma in many places tbh
gamma with my grim reshade
autumn redux
gamma wins for me
i still think piknik with some dynamic tonemap and enhanced shaders looks better in some places
this is brighter because i had an effect which made the sky that way
i disabled it after realizing its a thing tho
can anyone help me to know what ssao mode i should be using?
None? It's gonna get in the way of UI anyway and Anomaly has it's own lightweight HDAO.
SSDO
gamma comes with an enhanced SSDO shader, it isn't the fastest effect but it looks much better than the built-in SSAO implementations
this might have changed but iirc anomaly's HBAO and HDAO have an implementation bug that makes them way slower than they need to be
enhanced SSDO shader
is this the one in gamma's reshade preset or somewhere in the settings?
neither. it's a part of the screen space shaders addon by ascii1457: https://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/screen-space-shaders
ye that is the one in the settings
oh yeah i see what you mean, yes
Hi guys was told to come here from #🔨base-gamma-support, I have1660Ti laptop like youtuber Pookie who manages to get some very decent graphic plays, got install working, only extra is HD models, started Merc, experiencing 25-45 fps to 25+ in army warhouses(raining), modified stock graphs lower and first two steps of framerate_optimisation , core 0 is nul, would like to know how to get running smooth 60fps as much as possible when I previously had Aggressor Reshade alone running well before the fuckton of mods daddy Gamme adds. Turning the reshade on off makes no difference, dropping res from 2440 to 1920 hasnt done much, wondering what could be the issue? Or is that kind of performance expected?
did step 1-5 in #old-framerate-optimisation also, but dont want game looking crap either so would like ot keep some sort of shader. Are there any major anomaly settings differing from Gammas user.ltx that I could change?
Try in other maps than AW. The performance there tend to not be good there because of the amount of NPCs
You can reduce the distance at which "online" interactions happen between NPCs in the game options. This should increase your frame rate dramatically
Also decreasing grass setting and anti aliasing settings
Do anyone know how to setup enhanced shader
Thank you, will try the alife distnace setting
This vid is outdated but helped me a lot to tweak the base game graphic settings, if you want to pin it in #old-framerate-optimisation and save too many questions
Here are my setting to best optimize the game. It's a fine balance between pure performance and aesthetics. Achieving 100+ fps on my rig is easily doable but the visuals would suffer a lot, this video describes my settings to get the best out of both worlds.

Im confused how to change shader packs around. Im trying to config Agresor to get darker shadows/ contrast, Im not really sure how to config in mod manager, if you're supposed to? So ive installed the latest version of Reshade with Legacy only, then I hit reinstall on Agressor in M02, now I get this and not sure what effects to enable on Reshade console ingame:
What does the X mean?
Like say I have prosperity and want to try it out, can I install just through m02 alone?
this is what I have after 'installin' Prosperity with M02, I don't really know if thats installed correctly or not or what Im doing tbh
long story short, you have to actually look at the contents to see what is different and choose what to keep. a lot of reshades also come with weathers that they rely on to look like the screenshots, which would require overriding GAMMA's weathers.
if you just want to try a reshade preset, just keep the reshade contents and nothing else. then you can change the reshade by pressing HOME while in game, and selecting it from the reshade manager's dropdown menu
thanks, so I've added P.R.O.S.P.E.R.I.T.Y ini configs and the original Agresor one and have been fiddling witht he values. Does resetting default rest to what the config was previously or to the Reshade default? Because Ive messed up a few values now and not sure if Im going back to what the config was or some stock reshade value
Can someone help me, i installed enhanced shader and thap rework 2.0 but noting change
it resets it to whatever was in the .ini, unless you created a new preset and saved that
Well that’s cause both are already in gamma
anybody have any guides on understanding what the effects and sliders do what in Reshade? Rather than messing around with them to achieve the look I want and not knowing how I got there.
Most of sliders already have descriptions on them?
Yeah figured that
If not, google search should bring up explanations. Most shaders have same or similar parameters anyway, you'll learn it with little experience.
Might of been already mentioned somewhere in here but if you have a Nvidia card you can use its game filter "Freestyle". Just rename "AnomalyDX11.exe" or whatever DX your using to "eurotrucks2.exe" in Stalker GAMMA\bin. Then in MO2 add the "eurotrucks2.exe" in modify executables. Now you wont get the error saying "Unsupported game" trying to launch Freestyle in game. I still use GAMMAs reshade but for small tweaks ill use freestyle.
Just a way around Nvidia supported game check. 😋
Is freestyle worth using? Does it have a performance impact?
I didn't notice any frame drops or stuttering on my GTX 1070. Every PC is different though. It's worth a shot to try and use all the features your card has. 🙂
using different exe in mo2 is been used by the fallout community for years for tools like loot (that suppose to help fixing the load order but it makes only more damages to the load order that anything else) so yeah NOICE
Does anybody know how to brighten up my game because its kinda dark and my flashlights dont work that well
eye adaptation in reshade, although not perfect, will do a good job
home/insert, some of those keys
Np, you can also look around for reshades made by people in this channel, although default gamma is really good already
Found the reshade brightness setting thank you
good, i made the eye adaptation really snappy, so it adjusts quickly, not too fast though so it feels 'realistic'
why cant I see anything at all?
even with brightness settings and contrast
i think I should change the reshade mod
thanks grok
I did all the commands from the video yet it still is dark
there werent any errors in the console the commands were made but it still is dark in my game
Nvm it might be because of the weather infame
you could also check if you're monitor or viewing device is set up correctly, then redo steps if necessary
Is it me or do 99% of reshades that people post 'le epic screenshot' of, look great during the day but look like total arse at night?
Always has been
What's the point of a half or less moony night when you can see everything with naked eye
the one im using is mesmerizing
i can share it if u wanna
So I enabled Aggressor reshade in MO2, I see the new ground textures although I still only have access to Gamma's reshade options, am I stupid or am I missing something? Does Aggressor even offer anymore reshade options?
the aggressor addon in gamma only has ground textures, i think you need to reinstall it or just install a new one to get the reshade
I'll bite
since this was referring to grulag's comment
i think this was like 8-9 pm in game and idk what weather exactly
nice
Hey man, i'm trying this congfig, so far, so good. Have you tweaked a lil bit more your settings?
yeah a lot, i have changed it entirely lol
still working on it but i'll share it when it's ready!
if you can share your new config for dynamic tonemap + piknik could be great man. I like this config a lot
yeah, it's kind of in a half-state right now, but i will soon!
Oh yeah? What do you use?
refer to the pics above at nighttime, im using VOLG reshade
I always read that BONK
i enabled agressor reshade but the game is still brown, do i have to disable gardener and simple autumn or i miss something?
Yes, disable gardener, simple autumn and grulags dead bushes. Also might wanna reenable npc can‘t see thru bushes in that case.
thanks stalker
Thanks for this
@plucky flame Since the gamma reshade is in the bin folder can I add the new shader bin folder and merge the files into the same folder without causing issues with the base gamma reshade or do I need to delete the gamma reshade
oh it has actual DX DLLs, then I have no idea, install instructions on the preset should be able to tell you if they're needed
There no instructions at all for this thing
Or I'm not looking in the right place
Could I just delete the gamma files and replace it with the new one? It shouldn't cause issues right?
you can do it like this
backup everything from your Anomaly folder that will get replaced, overwrite, try to run the game, if it breaks - revert
@merry current
Alright I'll try it
Is there a particular way to go about installing this reshade or can i simple overwrite existing bin files? Never messed with reshades much before but i like the looks of this and want to give it a go...
talk slow, am simple man
cool thanks
did you have to disable any other mods at all?
k cool
also quick note
your aspect ratio or screen might be a tiny bit weird once in-game
hit the "home" button to bring up the reshade panel, then disable an effect called "Aspect Ratio"
👍
so, hypothetically, if i deleted my anomaly bin folder by mistake, hypothetically, how would i go about fixing this massive f@%k up, hypothetically speaking of course...

Hypothetically, I would check your recycle bin first. If it's gone from there all I can say is reinstall anomaly.
I shift delete out of habit
Had that habit in the past, it had its painful moments.
so if i reinstall anomaly what happens with gamma do i have to reinstall that too?
Nah, you can just hit gamma installer and select complete installation.
You downloaded the mods already so should be fine, not sure about the files should be already in Anomaly folder but hit #old-only-installer-support for that.

@merry current yeah I did all that. Did you make any adjustments to the reshade other than the few toggles that are I'm the home screen
@merry current like I turned on color banding etc so everything blends correctly
no need to ping me back to back
i was sleeping
:/
but no i didnt make any adjustments
i only disabled the aspect ratio one
then added luma sharpen
and some tweaks using console and enhanced shaders (the mod)
Wake up
Mortem invictus sus
How can I make the game more immersive? I've watched a few videos but cant see some of the things mentioned in when pressing home button. I've been struggling with this problem for hours already and cant get the game look as nearly good as in some pics and videos
You just described real life and RNG effects in games just like weather.
Default GAMMA has optimal settings for every occasion, no ReShade preset will please you in every place.
Majestic weathers/reshade gives a nice realistic sort of feeling
what are you even talking about? do u think i have any clue about anything? im dumbnut with these sorts of things
Just any preset would be fine if it even makes it a bit more immersive
I'm saying you gotta start somewhere, whatever ReShade preset you apply, they will fail at some moments giving you that immersive feeling. Too dark, too bright, too hazy, too sharp etc etc. Gamma's own ReShade won't get in the way and just gives right amount of improvement.
I dont even know how i can tune them
Also there's performance issues, just try them, not everyone's immersion is same as yours.
Literally saw this in groks reddit post 7 months ago. Im only asking which are the options for that kind of graphics so i can tune it from there myself
Use the default settings, go to Agroprom near that Anomaly, use clear weather at 18h00
I mainly improved the sun rendering and shadows balance + added more dead zone looking textures and tree models
So yes, default GAMMA parameters, 18h40 clear 1 weather, south of agroprom
I'm still a bit sad about how bad masks water droplets look, I would need someone with texturing skills to work on that 😦
I can maybe try it and see what I can do but I only have experience in d3d9 games not 11
Majestic Reshade (default)
G.A.M.M.A reshade (default)
PIKNIK's Reshade (levelplus off)
Agressor Reshade (default)
Just for reference*
How can i install it without breaking gamma?
follow the instructions in the description of majestic's mod page
I disabled all of Gamma's shader mods aside from beef's nvgs
and then redownloaded them to match the setup that the author says to use
make sure you place all these mods in the shader category in MO2
when I get home I'll send you a screenshot of my shader category
@alpine terrace aye you get it working?
Haven’t tried it yet. I’m gonna try it when I get home from work tonight
Thanks for the explanation!
What's the screen corner shadow fix?
it supposedly gets rid of the weird shadow bug in the corners of your screen when turning your camera
but it's still kinda there
it's really noticeable in cordon
Ah yeah I noticed it a lot in cordon
Gamma Reshade holding up against the competition
(it's a joke, they all look good in their own ways)
I’m stealing that Apollo 😂
enjoy it my friend
When you've downloaded the, do you place them in the Gamma mod folder as a zip or did you unzip it as mentioned in the description?
Drag out what you need from the zip into your mods folder
Some of the mods come with different options and patches
the mods folder in your file explorer
eh I guess you can
big man
but I just dropped them into my mods folder as the majestic weather author said to
My method basically install them
Apollo's method I don't know
If we're talking GAMMA "mods" folder, you need to extract everything (I guess)
Because "mods" folder only contains folders
I'll probably redo mine with the MO2 installer
although it does work, I feel like it doesn't seem all that different visually from base gamma
When I install it through MO2, all the optional patches are compiled into one selectable mod, is that correct?
sor for example
Screenspace Shaders has SSDO, SSS, SSR and SSR Water. When I click on install it won't show me each option seperately in my organizer list
hmm, they're supposed to be seperate
Idk why they wouldn't show separately in the installer cause they are in the zip
gonna extract them and put htem in the mods folder
mmm... in fact, yes. No doubt about it. The best graphics for normal gameplay, really well balanced in every situation, interiors, time of day, etc. PIKNIK's is my other option. Really good too. Colder Vibe.
@mortal shuttle so I downloaded it and it looks amazing so what settings should I tweak now you said something about gloss
I have it at zero now
open your console and type cfg_load majestic
it should set it to 0.001
which is what you want it at
Ok set it it looks Awsome but it’s quite the frame hit
yeah it'll be a little more intensive, try turning your texture detail down to about half, make sure grass shadows are off, you can turn lighting distance down to around half as well, and grass density as well
just play with the settings a bit until you're happy with the frames you get
Ok Awsome yeah I’m getting alot of screen tearing so I’ll mess around and see what I can get
also disabling full screen optimization in the properties of your dx11avx.exe can help, as well as turning off core 0
!core
How to 0 core: #╭📖faq message
Ok Awsome thanks a lot
no problem man, good luck getting it running good 🙏
idk if its cuz of reshade but ever since i turned it on in the mod manager my nvgs just dont work
Turned what on?
Imagine turning ReShade on the mod manager
Boy I got great FPS ray tracing the mod manager
Anyone have tips on a reshade that will smooth the foliage and grass a bit?
CMAA and NFAA
They're in the GAMMA reshade?
no, you will need to download them. Get latest reshade version and update the installation, then when it prompts to download shaders download them all, after ingame i recommend you to tweak them and in setting enable "load only enabled effects" so you wont need to load 200 shaders at startup
Ok I get that from the second pinned comment I'm guessing?
Ok so I'm guessing I point it to the DX11AVX in my Stalker GAMMA folder on the setup right
Got em all installed I'll let you know how it goes
CMAA and SMAA doesn't really do much at all for me even after cranking them up. Trees still look like shit.
trees will forever look like shit without destroying visual quality of everything else on the screen
Whatever shaders/graphical stuff is on Dark Signal made trees/foliage look great, nice and smoothed out edges
You could upscale too, but its heavy on performance
Think I got em looking a little better with FGFX. Also since I did the reshade install like you told me all the default GAMMA effects are doubling up.
How to upscale? I got a 3080 so I can probs get away with it. You mean upscaling in the Nvidia control panel?
How do I stop all these effects doubling up on top of eachother, it is chunking ~25fps till I disable them
go to settings and redo the search path for the shaders
Ah I see, just delete the ones that are duplicated
yep
Sweet as, thanks bossman
upscaling is enabling DSR in nvidia control panel or creating a custom resolution
Yee I thought that's what you meant, no need I think I got it looking pretty good now.
Thanks heaps for the help man I'm a complete noob with reshade ❤️
No problem, now activate (if you want) some sort of sharpening shader for the blurring caused by the anti aliasing shaders. I recommend "smart sharp"
Ok, I just activated a x2.25 DSR with %45 smoothness just to see what it's like/performance. If I think it needs a little sharpening I'll do that. I don't mind it having a little blur as It's not as noticeable as the jagged/clipping edges on a 32inch curved monitor.
after activating DSR you need to change ingame resolution
you sure? I can notice the difference albeit at a ~15-20fps hit
It's defs smoother
What should the resolution be?
if your native res is 1920x1080 -> 1,7x DSR is 2560x1440, x2 is 3840x2160 etc etc
I'm on 2560x1440. When I upped it to match my DSR; 3840x2160 the HUD and UI and mouse sensitivity went fucked
DSR can be finnicky, change your ingame res to native, deactivate DSR and try a custom resolution https://pacoup.com/2011/06/12/list-of-true-169-resolutions/ resolutions in green scale better
Is sticking to the DL ones not the way to go?
yea we gucci
Again thanks heaps for the help bro, overall ~20fps hit to get it looking waaay better is very worth imo. You're a legend 👌
DL scaling is for RTX only cards, it uses AI like DLSS but its not DLSS, dont know better i dont have one
Well good news the GPU market should be coming down soon for multiple reasons. 👍 Start saving
most likely because it doesn't use some of the shaders addons, which are known to mess up with AA a bit
but AA still works don't worry. Try shutting down all AA and reboot the game, welcome to pixel land
It's probably coz the dead trees/bushes have a lot more edges to look janky. I prefer the dead look though 😦
Ok so I disabled the 3 mods that make it dead looking and I'm getting ~10fps more and the bushes and trees (leaves) look much smoother than the dead stuff. Idk man maybe it's just my monitor/reshade settings.
kinda sucks coz I really like the dead look but it would just murder my fps in some places like Rostok and Rookie village. It makes no sense that it's the cause but it definitely was.
What are your settings in terms of grass, smaa, and resolution ?
Maybe a very slight DoF effect could help with the smoothness of trees by blurring it a bit
2k resolution DSR upscaled to 3840x2160 with %50 smoothness. Very high smaa
grass settings are default Gamma
I tried a couple depth blur effects with reshade but couldn't get any of them to look good.
I'm just gonna stick with not running the autumn mod and bushes coz I get a good chunk more fps without it for some reason
any way to fix this?, multiLUT is causing it in my prosperity reshade
Reinstall reshade
You guys got any good shaders?
I recommend Majestic Weatherfx, it looks amazing
How to combine it with gamma? Its crashing all the time... How do you get this running?
Follow the guide in the description of the mod
I have done everything like in the description. But it crashes with some weird error in the log. I actual stopped trying so i did not have the log. Could you show me your loading order in MO?
Thank you! So i will try it again. Merci!
Did you deactivate any enhanced shaders that are already in or did you just install everything on top?
What's that screen corner shadow fix

it's supposed to remove the god awful distant shadow bug in the corners of your screen when turning but i can still notice it on certain maps

yes i disabled the enhanced shaders and screen space shaders that came with gamma
Just what I was about to ask you

We're gaming

Hm, seems iam too stupid to install it right... Same loadorder like falco but the game will not start:

rip

Yeah, clicked it on the launcher...
delete the shader_cache folder in your anomaly appdata folder
!tag + cache To clean your "shaders_cache", don't use the option in the Anomaly launcher.
Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally.
Tag "cache" successfully created.
Thank you both. But i getting the same error. I deleted the shaders_cach folder manually. I`m giving up for today. It is too late for me. I need too sleep!
Are you using DX11?
!delete
If you really need to delete everything because you're having problems: #╭📖faq message
U r legend, it's very hard to fix that bug
And it might fix my sss effect bug too
But i dont see the shadow fix included
Have you tried "r2_sun_near_border 1"(in console command or user.ltx) ?
That may not work for someone
Like me
But i dont see the shadow fix included
In the mod link
Right. Depending on the setup like aspect ratio, it might not work. Some people also said they had to set "r2_sun_near" to 18 or 20 in addition to "r2_sun_near_border 1".
It's in the majestic weatherfx mod
Yeah, it should be 20 with the r2_sun_near
Ik
I think that's better that expediton
With better performance
It looks like tarkov so much
At least combining the screen corner shadow fix with the "r2_sun_near_border 1" fixed the shadows in my game.(1920x1080)
And the user.ltx will reset some settings when u leave the game
I read the description of the majestic weatherfx but i dont see the shadow corner fix included , will it be included when i installed?
The .zip file contains multiple folders. The fix is in the optional files and patches folder.
Ok nice
Everyone hate that god awful shadow at their corner
@unkempt osprey and do u know how to fix pixelated shadow on gun when installed sss effect
turn off actor shadow
I tried
Nothing change
Maybe the thap rework addon use high poly hand model
So the shadow is wrong
But i dont want to disable thap rework
Sorry, I'm not sure about that. I'm also not in front of my main PC so I can't test.
Yeah that bug is hard to fix
I tried to turn off and change smth but nothing change
up your shadow map quality
idk, only issue i had was actor shadow giving some really odd shadow issues, turning it off fixed it
i haven't noticed anything else too bothersome
Well, i will ask the admin of the sss addons to fix that
You need the soundscape overhaul patch
Thx for the advice but i already using it in MO 🙂
Same Error. Like yesterday said, i will try a complete fresh Installation.
So, after a complete fresh install it kinda works. Anomaly starts and savegames work. Unfortunately i forgot to deactivate gamma weather and when i do this it crashes with the same error code. Or should i not deactivate GAMMA Weather? Iam confused...
Ok, i tried a few things and after deactivating the Soundscape Overhaul 3 Thunder Patch it works! Now iam really confused! 😄
Does anyone have any comparison shots between GAMMA and Majestic Weatherfx?
I know zilch about shaders/reshades etc, so wondering if it's worth to go down the rabbit hole of learning how to install it
I don't have comparison shots but I can tell you that Majestic is basically GAMMA but "more saturated"
You can just look at the screens on the mod page
It also doesn't burn your eyes
It's just much "clearer" compared to GAMMA
GAMMA is more "toned down", Majestic is more "brighter"
It's very noticeable when it is daytime or sunny
When it is cloudy it approaches to what GAMMA is by default
The biggest highlight I think is the reflections on the weapons, that's where Majestic stands out the most
Ah, gotcha, thanks. Might try my hand at it then
The install is very simple
You can follow this, you just need to disable 188- Enhanced Shaders - KennShade and 190- Screen Space Shaders latest - Ascii1457
maybe someone know but I have a weird glitch? with sun rays and shadows and not really know where to find help, I can send screenshot of this
Much appreciated
Also follow the install mod page, of course
It tells you what to get and where
It's all stuff you already have inside a folder called downloads that you can find in your GAMMA folder
You already have the mods Majestic needs because GAMMA have them by default
You just need to take those specifics folders from each zip
I'm confused as well since the patch is for the first mod (I mean it should be)
Or maybe not, I don't know
Yeah, Monolith Engine.... idk man. Anyways thank you all for the help!
Ok, so I get the files I need from the downloads folder and put them into the mods folder in GAMMA's folder structure
Not accustomed to the portable MO2
Yes
You need to move those folders directly inside "mods"
When I try to install MajesticFX using MO2 it says the file structure wasn't setup correctly. Do I just ignore that?
Or just manually add the Majesticfx folders into the mod folder?
Follow the mod page
IIRC I didn't install anything
Only moved folders inside "mods"
I'll do it manually then, thanks
Yes it's all meant to be done manually
Screenspace Shaders has 3 folders inside mods. I use the Update 7.2 one, right?
Got it done, I think
Yes
And presto, installed with no crashes. Much thanks for the help @river flower
Suppose I should have taken GAMMA screenshots BEFORE installing Majestic Weatherfx for comparison, huh?
Yes

Good thing I kept a backup of the reshader files. Time to use some elbow grease
@river flower excuse me. Should i install "99 - optional modded exe", it's first question. And, second - should i install "Reshade files" from Majestic weather FX?
My screenshots are looking almost like negatives with Weatherfx on
Same problems... Why is so blue?!
For anyone wondering, here are 2 comparison images between GAMMA's and Majestic Weatherfx reshades
GAMMA
Weatherfx
GAMMA
Weatherfx
Using the default Clear profile of Weatherfx
I'd personally tone down the sharpening a bit
- No because the mod page doesn't say so
- Yes because the mod page does say so
Like I told you it's the same thing but "brighter"
Yeah, pretty much. Is there any way to finetune the sharpening effect, like a slider or somesuch?
That I don't know
I'm sure there's something in Reshade settings but I don't know how to tweak them
Well, if I turn off the Bloom and Sharpening, it's just about a brighter GAMMA. The sharpening effect makes things look weird, like an uncanny valley of realism
Where can I find those?
These two?
Didn't know ReShade had CMAA, thanks Intel.
Yep, MagicBloom and AdaptiveSharpen
One downside is Skies Redux isn't recommended because it can mess up the rainy weather
it's blue because of dynamic tonemapping and the cloudy weather
if you want to fine-tune your lum settings or w/e they're called, disable dynamic tonemapping
are you on dx11?

anyone know something that does the same or similar thing as ppfx ssdo but easier on performance?
I ended up using mxao and turning down the normal bias, turning up the ao amount and it's the same intensity with like 10-15 fps extra
Hmm
Nothing
U can use ssao at low or medium setting
dont use reshade ones, gamma goes preinstalled with screen space shaders that enhances default SSDO (select SSDO on graphics menu)
yeah I'm using SSDO now, it doesn't fill in as much as I can make some of the reshade ones but it's all good. I will say though, I've swapped out kenn's and ascii's shaders for the ones you're meant to use with majesticfx so maybe that's why they aren't quite as hefty
the only shitty thing with the reshade AOs is when you scope in all the AO textures get fucked and don't map properly when you look around.
the best one I found that you can get a good intensity with but keep the fucked zoomed textures at a minimum was grim's AO I think
if anyone knows how to sort the fucked textures when you scope in pls lmk <3
@lapis otter I personally use GloomAO, here's the link: https://github.com/BlueSkyDefender/AstrayFX/blob/master/Shaders/GloomAO.fx
To get rid of the wrong textures with scopes i cranked up Color Power to 5.000 (i also changed a lot of other settings in it, but Color Power is what got rid of the misplaced AO with scopes) , it makes textures and grass looks really really good, it's a good eye candy for 4 fps loss, on my rig at least. If you are looking for a good AA i also recommend QXAA, it's simply magic with 0 fps impact.
Edit: GloomAO Comparison: https://imgur.com/a/tIRFBbp
yeah gloomAO (not grim's ao I fucked the name before :| ) and mxao were the two I swapped between but oh my god thank you for letting me know about color power. I think that's one of the few settings I didn't mess around with but I'll try it and qxaa out now, tyvm <3
I tried both gloomao and qxaa last night and they work amazingly
although qxaa is about a 3-4 fps hit like cobra said
is this the right qxaa? https://github.com/lordbean-git/reshade-shaders/blob/main/Shaders/QXAA.fx
yessir
SMAA from Crosire's github is my favorite. Seems to perform and look better than most in-game AAs and doesn't blur the textures/entire image like most FXAA variants, which is nice if you also use a sharpen filter of some kind since SMAA has far less of a counter to its effect.
FakeHDR is also pretty nice, but is basically a contrast filter that can make the sky a bit bright, especially alongside ambient light, but it's still nice alongside the default GAMMA stuff. Shadows and indoor sections look very nice with fakehdr, especially with chemical anomalies (like Agroprom Underground). Makes them pop and glow nicely. It also kind of ups the saturation slightly as well, so you may not need to add saturation in the game's basic light settings options.
@mortal shuttle did you change something with Majestic after the last update Grok made?
I've read he added that cube particles thing
A mod that (in theory) is inside GAMMA now
Look in #📢announcements
He's talking about that mod that adds reflections
The same mod should already be inside Majestic
oh cubeMAPS
i just updated my setup to SSS update 8 and got the new compatible version of Majestic
still using the corrected cubemaps from ES
though they're probably redundant now
Guess I'll have to ping you when I'll update as well

Anyone know if Tomato used a shader in his most recent streams?
most likely the vanilla gamma reshade preset
Gotcha
@mortal shuttle Just updated everything, installer is on 3.7, the game is fully updated, my stuff is still like this
Can you send me again your preset?
- do I need to do something? Enabling/Disabling/Updating something outside GAMMA?
as long as you replaced all of the SSS files and got the new Majestic version, you should be fine
I didn't do anything of that
Can you walk me through it?
Well I did just fine without all of this
well he's trying to update sss and majestic
Oof
also figured out where my emote went
i was removed from the EFP discord
for some reason
Ah, well, i don't think they'd ban you on a whim
I guess I just need to:
- Open the SSS in "downloads"
- Grab the new shit
- Compare the old with the new
- Done
Same thing for Majestic, I guess
just close MO2, delete the old SSS files (00, 00 patch, 01, 02, 03, 04) and drop in the new versions, then delete the old majestic - main and drop in the new one
Where can I find them?
They aren't inside SSS
thats enhanced shaders you dingleberry
Do I need to delete them or not?

noooo keep those
Okay
those aren't updated

This is what I deleted
And I replaced them with the new ones from SSS
Now, I'll download Majestic
don't forget 02
SSS
What
yes
yes
Majestic is in as well
YES
YESSSSSSSSS

Reshade already changed

Deleted the old stuff from Majestic, replaced with the new
Apollo is going to need some grass to touch xD
It's all stuff from the new Majestic
Stuff still okay
yes
you can remove the soundscape overhaul 3 patch
it's redundant
or just disable it if you wish
GAMMA didn't crash so it's already a good thing
I guess I need to start Majestic again?
wat
You need to type something in the console
oh
cfg_load majestic
if you didn't backup your user.ltx yeah
and/or if you wanna use those settings
too hard on my wee computer
what
I see you have noticed
I see everything

Literally in game press Esc
Somehow it makes the menu a bit blurry x)
That why I went another path
As seen on screenshots
Also I need to find that thing about Alife optimization
The one about stutters
Where the hell is it
well yeah reshade affects everything
can't do much about it
turn off magic bloom and ambient light
Found it
Send
damn
You won't get the same result Falco, I ditched Majestic Weathers for a slightly modified version of Autumn Season Redux Weathers, on top of my Autumn repack
I need to find it first
I'm like a Brown lauta_ro
Double gaming
Try to put his screenshots to mine side by side, everything is opposed xD
On my way to break the game, then break some more
That's how you learn
I'm curious about this
As I understand it, stutters appear because of 10 objects update per tick during 900ms, and to load everything, well you need the full 900ms
if you increase it to 200, if your processor can handle it, then you should never have any stutter
because instead of loading stuff for 900ms
you load them 20 times faster
meaning in 45ms

Lowering objects per update to 5 for example should increase performance, most notably CPU load. Only downside is rare glitches like graphical decals...bullet holes in wall. Switch distance set to 400 to 600 seems like a sweet spot combined with objects per update 5. Im using the 600/5 right now with good results. Im going to try increasing objects per update tomorrow until I get stuttering.
Does any of the DOF solutions work for you guys?
I can't get any to work (adof, cdof, mcfly's, pirate's, etc.) due to the depth buffer messing up for these shaders especifically.
The depth buffer can only recognize 1meter in front of the actor.
Super weird because other type of the shaders do use the depth buffer correctly.
Ofc running MSAA off, and I tried patching the depth buffer straight through in the add-ons tab in reshade, too...
I tried every setting in them, most importantly manual depth and curve
i tried but i also failed so i just gave up on it, getting an effect that works all of the time and isnt obtrusive just isnt possible in this game
Give up
Tried as well, it's not meant to be used permanently. Or you need to alter in engine one
as soon as u open ur inventory or use anything in ur hands it all crumbles lol
Thanks lads👍
What's a good shader I can use to make my game look good enough to never make the distinction between reality and the zone
what're you into? autumn, summer, bright, gritty, etc.
I like summer but gritt
look through #╟📸screenshots and see what you like
then ask the person who posted the screenshot if you can grab their setup
yes
Okay I'ma try that one first and see what happens. How do Install it with the gamma?
follow the instructions
Oh so I don't have to do anything different to the gamma launcher? Just install into my files?
Aggressor is already in gamma, just right click and reinstall it
then grab the reshade files from the moddb
Ohhhh okay. Thanks man I really appreciate it!

Ok what's a brighter more summer reshade?
majestic weatherfx
Aggressor is not a reshade despite the name though
just textures & weathers configs
yep, me too... Looks weird in some maps
Where can I download majestic weather fx?
On moddb 🙂
follow the installation instructions, place everything as shown in the 'Shaders' category of MO2 and then disable 'GAMMA Weathers'
Make a backup of your appdata & bin folder before testing any reshade guys, I can't stress this enough
Do as CS Eden said, then install Majestic WeatherFX - Main at the bottom of your loadorder, then disable Skies Redux and GAMMA weather
