Besides, all YT videos get outdated pretty fast. SSS22 Post-processing effects changed the vibe of most old presets and configurations so they have to be adapted.

So I got a question for those paths posted. If i do my texture and shader paths as shown in that image above i get compile errors for 11 shaders, but if i have the paths like normal without the double * I get no errors

Pretty sure its a non issue anyways since the reshade im using doesnt use any of the ones that error out but im more curious why it would do that since im assuming the ** should mean to "catch all files and folders inside here"

So I reported an issues in #🔨modded-gamma-support but I reinstalled the Anomaly and GAMMA fully and turns out something else is crashing my game, not mods (I tested it unmodified now)

After re-enabling the reshade following the #╭📖faq (copying 'bin' folder from Gamma to Anomaly) the game will refuse to launch, flash black screen and die immediatelly with no error, only clearing the shader cache (deleting the cache folder) fixes it, but when I enter the game, exit, and try to launch again, same happens until clearing cache.

Am I doing something wrong?

Correcting reshade paths

after installing reshade, open your game and then press the HOME button in order to open the reshade window

for reshade to recognize all effects, you need to change both the effects and textures paths in the settings tab

delete all paths by pressing on the - button next to them,

then for the effects path add;

C:\ANOMALY\bin\reshade-shaders\Shaders\**

and for the textures path add;

C:\ANOMALY\bin\reshade-shaders\Textures\**

press reload at the bottom of the first reshade tab after those changes

disclaimer: if your gamma isnt installed on disk C, just change the letter to the corresponding one

Well I still can't launch the game with reshade enabled 💀
Idk it's probably something very specific
But I did what you told me and unfortunately it's still the same
To be clear I'm running on DX11, got all the updated drivers and a fairly capable system etc. idk if that really matters

But essentially the only thing I know is once the reshade is enabled either via the installation/update with the box unchecked or manually copying the bin folder, the game just can't launch and it shows no error at all, and the moment I swap the bin folder back to disable reshade, it just works again no problem.

Again not a big deal I'm just curious at this point why it happens lol

Uhhhm, well it seems to have worked except I didn't do this, I just uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled everything again step by step first just in case, but I installed it with the shader box unchecked, and apparently it works now lmao

Are you familiar with C Conciousness Grass Overhaul? Because originally the shader guide I followed did include it as well as ATO5, but I tested it before, only with the grass mod (Not ATO5), and it did break it, but even after disabling and removing it completely from the mod list, it still wouldn't fix it until I turned off reshade completely.

The point it, before the game was crashing when I tested it WITH and WITHOUT any mods, and only enabling reshade caused the issues, but now idk

Either way, I guess Ill try it one last time, if the mod somehow breaks it again then I suppose it was the mod all along, even when I tested without it lmao, clueless
