1. Go to the link(s) the Helper has provided.
2. Download the mod file(s). DO NOT EXTRACT.
3. Place every archive you downloaded into your GAMMA\downloads folder. Overwrite if needed.

5. Uncheck/Disable:

• Check MD5
• Force git download

6. Click Install / Update G.A.M.M.A.

yeah ive tried manually just adding a handful of mods following the guides ofc, i can play, no crashes, but some settings of many mods wont just work. So im just wondering should i completely nuke it all and also get v8.0 or should i just update it with gamma launcher? feels like the addons/mods ive manually installed just piles up and borks its even more even after re-updating to 551mods.

alright, ill just do that then go to the basic 551 mods, like the action wheel was borked, the difficulty settings was way off somehow and was overwritten and that ive never seen before. All i did was follow the guide here for textures and all the other stuff. Ill get v8.0 and go from there, thanks

alright, v8.0, 551 mods but i see 2 flags, tactical compass and fdda redone fixes but those are greyed out and what it says overwritten

works, so does quick wheel etc, but the one mod that did not get reset was body health system ( double checked when pressing once on default in that mod within the menu.) Never been like that before and did the same thing my other last updates.

How to restore MCM default settings:

1. Download the mod manually from this link

Assuming you are on the latest version of GAMMA, try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps with stutters or microfreezes:

1. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
2. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
3. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
4. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
5. Try using Meatchunk's prefetcher for G.A.M.M.A (needs 12Gb of Free RAM), in the Alternative Addons & Patches category (only works on vanilla GAMMA, may break with custom mods, recommend having a total of 32GB RAM)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm
8. In game, go to Settings > Modded Exes > Optimization > Lua Garbage Collector and increase this bit by bit until microstutters/freezes stop. Default value is 300, people seem to find that 750-800 is the sweet spot, this will depend on your hardware

if you want to go to Yantar, use the path in SE of dead city, the one in middle kills you with psy

3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.

I did a full reinstall of the game and have this peculiar issue with audio in the game. If it's bordless fullscreen it stutters, but I get audio. If it's windowed the audio works and runs well, but obviously is in a windowed mode and I don't like that. If it's in Fullscreen it runs well, but there is absolutely no audio what so ever, I follwed everystep in !sound, but haven't found a solution. If anyone could suggest how to troubleshoot this issue further or what manner of fuckery is happening I would appreciate it.

If you're experiencing crashes after updating G.A.M.M.A. from version 0.9.3.1 to 0.9.4, open MO2, locate and enable this mod:
Pre-0.9.4 Saves Fix, inside the Alternative Addons & Patches category.
If you don't have REDONE mods, this "fix" is only a temporary solution. Starting a new game is highly recommended.
If you have, keep this enabled, it is required for REDONE in GAMMA

If you get the following error in the console when trying to install/update GAMMA: fatal: Unable to create '/Gamma/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources/Stalker_GAMMA/.git/index.lock': File exists. Then do this:

1.) First make sure the GAMMA launcher is closed. Close it if not.
2.) Then go to your folder: /GAMMA/.Grok's Modpack Installer/resources/Stalker_GAMMA/.git and find the index.lock file, then delete it.
3.) If you do not see the file, you may need to enable hidden files (see image).
4.) Run the Gamma launcher again as administrator and click Install/Update Gamma

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.
2. Go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

git config --global --add safe.directory '*' and press Enter.

4. Now close git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.

One time I threw a grenade then switched back to normal weapon and when it exploded I suddenly skilled up in strength from lvl 7 to lvl 15. I don't think the grenades are that heavy 😉

I usually re-enable the suggested values for items inside unmarked stashes with ZCP, but whenever I loot ammo from an unmarked stash the count that gets looted changes once I reload a save or change area

in fact, in the current version of base gamma, it appears to even be a different value as it's transferred to the inventory, e.g. I just saw 44 bullets appear in a stash and when looted it's actually about 10

hmm, it also seems to affect marked stashes as well, but that only takes effect when reloading, e.g. I just looted 147 bullets from a marked stash, saved game, reloaded, and they suddenly became 30

If you get the error 1364 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 9 (use !dx in ⁠https://discord.com/channels/912320241713958912/1012510897136222293 for instructions on how to switch).
   After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

Anyone know what mod is handling base GAMMAs magazine size? I picked up the vntorez_isg and that thing clearly has a 45-60 round mag but in game its only a 30 rounder. I changed to change it in the w_vintorez_isg (I found 3 in my search of the files) but all of them only show ammo_mag_size at 10? Really confused as to what mod is managing that.

I'm having a problem off a fresh install where the game will not load on DX11. 9 works fine. When I try to launch with 11, the little splash screen pops up, the screen will go black, and then it will close and bring me back to the launcher. No error message or anything. 511 mods, or 512 with the dynamic aspect ratio ticked for my 21:9 monitor. Vanilla anomaly works on DX11 just fine

Hi looking for assistance for a crashing issue that has been plaguing me over multiple updates. Basics First,
-Have 551 mods on MO2
-On Launcher ver 8
-Did a full Install/Update G.A.M.M.A from the launcher prior to asking this question.
-Running with DX11
When I click RUN on MO2 and the anomaly launcher loads all is well. I then click Play Stalker button and the screen goes black before immediately crashing back to desktop. No hard locks, no error messages and no clue. I have tried deleting the shader folder. I have run multiple updates. This was happening on Launcher ver 6.7 as well.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
If there is a pinned answer to my problem I apologies but obviously I suck at searches. None of my searches of the discord have netted me a result so far.

Hello looking for help. Tried installing mod by following guide windows defender was turned off, both folders were exceptions and i was using 7 zip. But when installing was complete launcher dies and does work again. When i go to MO i see only 285 mods and game is not working. What i did wrong?
