If you get the error 1364 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 9 (use !dx in ⁠https://discord.com/channels/912320241713958912/1012510897136222293 for instructions on how to switch).
   After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

I've been checking the server to see if anyone found a solution to this problem with no luck.

The nights are way too bright, i checked brightness configuration, i am using the darker nights presets and i am using the default gamma installation.

I remember that the night were pitch black, this version looks like i have permanent NVGs all nights, first i thought it was the moon cycle but it is like this every night cycle.

Anyone have any ideas? Also, i deleted the shaders cache and tweaked bloom, HDR and so with no results, anyone have any idea of what´s wrong?

5. Relaunch GAMMA Launcher** with admin rights**, it should be fixed

Has anybody encountered a weird bug where when aiming through the scope the bullet flies not at the target but to the left of it? Happens to me quite often. It goes away when I switch to canted sight a couple of times but still it's very annoying. Using a Specter DR if it matters.

If you are playing vanilla GAMMA: your unjam key = your reload key.
If you are playing with MAGAZINE MODS:

1. Make sure you disabled the "GAMMA Unjam reload on the same key" mod
2. Make sure you separately rebind the Reload command ("Reload Weapon & Put PDA Away") and the Unjam command ("Reload weapon/Unjam Weapon/PDA away")
3. Make sure you added magazines to your loadout (alt-click or right click -> "add to loadout")

• Make sure your outfit actually has a slot that fits the mag (hint: PPSh drum mag is Large, the starting Sunrise suit has no Large mag slots)

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.

So increasing lua step value for most people works because it lessens the length of the one frame where step is ran, but when you're at high FPS that value is still spiking way below your lower 10% FPS so it's super noticable compared to ~90FPS gameplay with lua gc step at like 700

Critical Error on top of certain tasks was done on purpose to prevent autofailing once accepted through the PDA Taskboard.
It can also appear on tasks that require you to go into maps you can't access yet.

What grok gave you works, but only on new spawns of the dead ecologists. Since the bodies are spawned in on your latest save it will keep looking for the old visual

Reinstalled latest GAMMA today. Were pulse anomalies changed to be just a minor flash? This is a pretty bad example because the background is bright, but I found it has become hard to spot where the ball lightning is located due to the blinding flash no longer being present. UPDATE i think i may have found the problem, there is a copy of the binocpistol script in GAMMA Weapon Pack and i hid the script from there, because it's missing the binocular slot number 5, testing now

FIXED! to make pistols go into binoc slot, just hide the binoc_pistol_knife.script from GAMMA Weapon Pack, works for me idk if this how gamma is meant to be no binoc slot for pistols idk, im also trying to make it work with scopes, but that will be posted in modded gamma

Long story short thr file pathway was too long for some files in gamma. So it's kinda half and half in my two drives

Easiest solution would be to delete all the files and reinstall from scratch??

Im in no way tech savey and it was a miracle of the zone that I got this installed

Hello people willing to help, I've tried to install gamma, followed the steps from the server, and I get one of two errors when I try to launch the game: failed to Compile Shaders/Fatal Error. I only have 442 mods installed, and one of them is flagged, GAMMA DISABLED. As far as I am aware Windows Defender antivirus is turned off, exceptions were made for the 2 folders, the file path is clear, I don't usually mod games because I know that this kind of thing can happen and I'm usually happier with the base game, but this version of stalker really speaks to me and I would really like to get this running. I could have spent more time trying to get it to work, but I feel like thats why you guys are here. Please Help

It's the "busy hands" error I debugged a while back. Basically if the user hits Esc as they die and try to reload last save. The game state gets wildly confused IIRC.

Obviously, they will change to the current caliber. But what will happen to the damage? In this example, the SVDS has 62 damage. Will it remain the same?

3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
6. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
7. Re-open Mod Organizer 2.

@near bough I can confirm that the deinstall of Norton 360 fixed my issue. My problems were:

• 547mods
• a lot of error messages in the cosole while downloading
• a crashlog with the line 262
  After deinstall I simply pressed the reinstall button again and after that I had 549mods and no more problems with a clean launch. Thx for the help mummified corpse

if you download the downloads.7z from the instruction its not possible to have such amount of mods

you either have the mods that are in the downloads.7z or the file is corrupted in the first place

you may also have extracted the downloads.7z into the wrong directory, because that would explain why you have still the same amount of mods then before

@slow wharf To reduce the fog effect in certain weather conditions:

Method 1: Reinstall Atmospherics without the heavy fog option.

1. Find the mod 290- Atmospherics Shaders Weathers and Reshade Latest - Hippobot. Right click and choose "Reinstall"
2. Pick the following options:

• 00 - [REQUIRED] Sky Textures
• 01 - [REQUIRED] Atmospherics
• 09 - OPTIONAL Extra Weather Cycle
• 12 - OPTIONAL Improved Skybox fog blending

3. Click "OK", and choose "Replace" when prompted
   Method 2: Use the "Less Dense Fog" addon #1355286570952950032 message
