Try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps:

1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open GAMMA Launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)
2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS
7. Consider looking at #╰⚡fps-optimisation for a performance boost, if that channel is locked go here to unlock: #⏩start-confirm

1. Make sure you have the latest GAMMA launcher (currently, v6.7.0.0)

2. Temporarily disable your antivirus if you have Avast, AVG, Norton or Malwarebytes
3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
6. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
7. Re-open Mod Organizer 2.

Oops, I've just corrected that prt with MD5 and Zip Extraction. I've done that first and just restartet it after that, because I was missing like 2 mods, which then appeared. Now it works

Well, without deleting I just couldn't get the rest of the mods to appear. Idk why. Btw, I forgot to mention, that I've eventually downloaded the entire RC3 pack again and resert every config I had... So I gave some wrong and misleding info on how I've solved this. I'll delete that post.

If you're experiencing crashes after updating G.A.M.M.A. from version 0.9.3.1 to 0.9.4, open MO2, locate and enable this mod:
Pre-0.9.4 Saves Fix, inside the Alternative Addons & Patches category.
If you don't have REDONE mods, this "fix" is only a temporary solution. Starting a new game is highly recommended.
If you have, keep this enabled, it is required for REDONE in GAMMA

If you get the error 1364 "The application made a call that is invalid...", try the following in order until the error is resolved:

1. Try restarting your PC.
2. If restarting your PC does not help, try disabling the applications with overlay (Discord, MSI Afterburner, etc.) as well as applications like Wallpaper Engine etc.
3. If disabling software does not help, temporarily switch to DirectX 9 (use !dx in ⁠https://discord.com/channels/912320241713958912/1012510897136222293 for instructions on how to switch).
   After a certain amount of time, you can try to revert the changes and switch to DirectX 11. The bug may be fixed.

Having troubles with 3DSS mod download or the mod itself is busted?

1. Download the mod manually from this link
2. Place it into [Your Gamma]\downloads folder, replace if needed.
3. Open Gamma Launcher and press Install/Update GAMMA

IF it's your first installation, leave all boxes CHECKED.
If your mod is busted, UNTICK Check MD5 and Force git download (OR follow instructions provided by a Helper)

4. Wait for the install to end.

3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
6. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
7. Re-open Mod Organizer 2.

Sometimes launcher cannot extract normally with replacing older mods folders, so what we are doing now is

1. Make sure you have the latest GAMMA launcher (currently, v6.7.0.0)

If you don't have the latest launcher, use !v6 in #🤖bot-commands and follow instructions.

2. Temporarily disable your antivirus if you have Avast, AVG, Norton or Malwarebytes
3. Close Mod Organizer 2
4. Open the GAMMA Launcher
5. (optional) Disable "force git download" and "force zip extraction". This will make it go quicker.
6. Click "Install / Update" and wait for it to finish completely.
7. Re-open Mod Organizer 2.

Try any one of these at a time (in no particular order) to see if it helps:

1. Update G.A.M.M.A. to the latest version (open GAMMA Launcher with admin rights, click on Install / Update)
2. Bring your modlist back to default (type !default in #🤖bot-commands )
3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Activate the Turn this on if you stutter mod to alleviate stutters while losing some FPS

okay, hopefully this helps anyone struggling with black not being black, lifted black, worse contrast, black is grey, black is gray (I am adding some keywords to hopefully make search easier)

I performed a clean installation, so I got whatever would be auto-generated/default user.ltx file

in this file, there are these three settings (note, these are not the same settings as your Basic Light settings)
rs_c_brightness 0.985
rs_c_contrast 0.92
rs_c_gamma 1.

and the **rs_c_contrast **was the culprit and it makes so much sense - when you reduce contrast in general, it lifts black color and makes it grey (and less contrast, lighter that grey would be) = I fixed it by changing this value back to "1." and while at it, I also changed the rs_c_brightness to "1."

...this was driving me nuts, so I am super happy I fixed it

one more side note, I went back to my 0.9.3 Gamma separate installation and checked these settings and they were quite different,
rs_c_brightness 0.95
rs_c_contrast 1.2
rs_c_gamma 1.25

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.
2. Go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe as administrator.
3. Copy and paste the following command:

git config --global --add safe.directory '*' and press Enter.

4. Now close git-bash and run GAMMA Launcher as administrator again and click install.
