recently set gamma back up and it's kept giving me the shader compilation crash, no other mods enabled (only the base gamma ones 518)
though it did work fine until i reinstalled reshade on gamma

is reshade no longer supported or did i do something wrong i cant tell atp

its been a year since i played so i updated the launcher and gamma itself

Go in this folder: Anomaly\appdata, you'll find a folder called shaders_cache, delete this folder and launch the game normally from MO2, using your preferred DX.

tell them to follow you and then go sleep in a bed/transition to a new map, it should work.

otherwise it's "load an older save where they're still around and not banished to the void"

at least crashes say why, sometimes. slowdown doesn't, it's a process of trial and error until you figure out the exact ingame action that causes it, and then you KEEP doing trial and error (or script reading/mod testing) until you figure out WHY it's slowing down

you could also send your saves, we will need the .scoc and .scop files from Anomaly/appdata/savedgames. This lets us see if this can be replicated on your save but on a different install of GAMMA

which helps rule out things like "it is a problem with your install of gamma in particular", or "it is a problem with that specific save file"

yeah so each time i place an empty stash or storage place the fps drops down to zero, when it comes to workshop, that doesnt give any lag, and right before updating i've never had this problem because all i used is one blue crate.. all i messed with in settings is fast travel settings, loot rarity, and the waypoint stuff (like pins and all) and each time i place a crate it marks on the map (idk ifd thats normal)

i will say, that's still not most people's experience, it's rare that we get people reporting that the stash marker option is what is causing slowdown. It's quite possible some other option in Adjustable Waypoints is causing it, or some other kind of hidden? missing? misconfigured? element in that mod

but yeah you see what i mean? trial and error based on what causes the slowdown.

"prove" in this case means "you can provide replication steps" - the specific actions that 100% reliably cause the bug to happen

Stashes are empty by default. Getting stashes is the main way of progressing in GAMMA. White stashes can contain helpful gear, while yellow stashes are guaranteed to have a toolkit in addition to regular stash contents. Stash locations are determined based on where you are when you receive the coordinate, they always generate in or near the area you are currently located.

How to get stash coordinates:

1. Complete tasks (this is the main source of stash coordinates)
2. Loot dead bodies
3. Read looted PDAs (right click -> View them in inventory). If it's locked, go to a mechanic to unlock it
4. Buy coordinates from Sid or Cold (only available in the south)

How to get yellow stashes:

1. Complete 7 tasks
2. Get a stash coordinate afterwards - this can be from any source, e.g. the 8th task, a PDA, looting a body
3. That stash coordinate has a 50% chance to be a yellow stash. If you didn't get it, keep doing step 2 until you get a yellow stash

ar 15 hera doesn't drop normally in gamma. 3dss for gamma doesn't cover weapons that don't drop normally in gamma. either you have to find the 3dss patch for it, but this is a pretty clear cut case of "fuck around in debug/custom mods that re-add removed weapons, and find out"

you can always just play anomaly, a perfectly fine, standalone game that is going to take way less of your hard drive

without the reanimation mods in gamma that use up like 40gb alone

1. Collapse the categories in MO2, by sorting mods by Priority and close the categories by using the arrows on the left side (first picture for reference below).
2. Screenshot your MO2 by using Shift + Win + S.

It might help someone in the future...you can install Gamma in a 120gb ssd. You just need to delete or transfer some of the zips from the dowloads folder located in your GAMMA folder near the end of the installation. No need to install in a different drive and manually transfer them. Hope this helps.. @keen cedar

Turn your anti virus and firewall off (Defender, McAfee, Norton, etc) temporarily to just update / download the GAMMA mods and when done, turn it back on.

When turning off your anti-virus and firewall it should look like this:

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.

I was at Jupiter playing normally then left for Pripyat and Outskirts, returned to Jupiter via underground. Yanov Station is now deserted of NPCs aside of the vendors, but there's a specific section under the chandelier that I can't pass as if something was blocking me and I hear constant running noises when close to that spot - found that using debug to Delete All Squads resolves that, so I'm guessing the NPCs are stuck there somehow, but Delete All Squads also seemingly resets all my quests including main storylines ones. Is there any other way of fixing this? I've tried only Deleting Common Squads but this doesn't fix it

I think u are right about the pistol. I think there is another fort pistol and in the previous save (Its finally working again) I have fort-17 (the black one). In the new game If I'm not mistaken it's the fort 12 I guess?! So propably it wasn't worked "properly " it just was another weapon. 🙂

As you are here....I have another confusion. I'm playing as merc. As you know they are enemies with loners. Suddenly some relations changed (I have dynamic rel on from settings) and now I'm in conflict with ecologist and clear sky. The problem is that since they are my enemies on my pda they still don't attack me in yantar and the cursor point them as neuturals. And the strangiest thing.....the loners now are neutral 5 minutes after I had a firefight with them.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

1. First close the GAMMA launcher.

gamma does not have a PIP scope mod. It does have the 3D Shader Scopes (3DSS) mod, which uses shaders to look like you have 3D scopes, without actually implementing PiP so that your frames don't die
