Nothing to be afraid of.
Its a common thing when one mod gets updated and it sometimes breaks the whole pack, until a hotfix is pushed.

And those that were in the middle of an update, and the hotfix got pushed, simply have to update the pack again and they are good to go

Hotfix was pushed, because a mod was causing a crash for people that updated their game a few hours ago.
And only affected the people with anomaly 1.5.2 version.

1.5.3 has been released a day ago, and soon everyone will have to update their Anomaly

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

So I take it I updated Anomaly incorrectly?

I pasted the update into the Anomaly folder the same way you update Anomaly from 1.5.1 to 1.5.2, but I decided to verify the files in the Anomaly launcher after GAMMA was done updating and I got this error.

I launched the game and it got to the menu just fine though.

Yeah, for some reason the files are barely reachable from your connection and the launcher just gives up instead of retrying (would take 20x the usual time anyway)). Happened to me, too. I was advised to use a VPN. That would probably work, but I have no other reason to use one and don't want to pay for a decent one. I disconnected my PC from Internet and used USB tethering to update via my mobile data. Took some 200-500MB after that Gamma V6 fix was applied.

Keep the .zip if you can spare the hard drive space in case you need to fix the game again sometime. It's the majority of modpack's size. Speeds up updating a lot.

I used my PC to download the majority of files from the v6 fix and used my mobile data to finish up.
Can play now.

A VPN would probably work, but it probably has to be one of those VPNs that allow torrenting AND allow for high speeds.

If you have "dubious ownership" error, do the following:

  1. First try to close the Gamma launcher, and run it as administrator again, click install/update and see if the error is gone.
  2. If it doesn’t work, close Gamma launcher and go to GAMMA/Grok's modpack installer/resources and run git-bash.exe.

Don't verify stuff with the Anomaly Launcher, you're using Mod Organizer 2 to launch the game and to manage the mods used in GAMMA.

So I've been struggling with consistent stuttering for a long time now, every optimisation guide, tips etc I tried, never worked
However this weekend I found a post on Reddit talking about their Crucial SSD causing stuttering in games, well guess what, I have a crucial SSD as well
Decided to give their advice a try and it's fully solved my stuttering! πŸ™ŒπŸ»
It has something to do with the "primary transition latency tolerance" settings hidden in the power options

Hopefully this might help someone else having stuttering issues and can't solve it

First of all, delete mods folder in existing gamma folder.
Right after, visit this website https://all-seer.com/cdn/games/gamma/ and download latest GAMMA archive. Extract its Gamma contents into your existing Gamma folder, confirming overwrites.

After that, delete ModOrganizer.ini inside Gamma folder, launch MO2 as admin and browse your way to Anomaly folder. Don't use Gamma launcher for that period, as something with moddb is happening

This method overwrites downloads folder so it appears empty at the end. Simply copy that folder and move somewhere to keep it if you are willing

Have: 51 643 files, 17 069 folders
