For this fatal error, any suggestions as to what I do? Can't find model file 'dynamics\weapons\wpn_gauss\wpn_gauss_world.ogf'. I used !bas and reinstalled gamma, but when I follow the steps from there to update, the black screen in the back shows 'aborted' and the grok installer never moves

• Increase texture detail to 3/4 or 4/4, or enter texture_lod 0 in the in-game console, and then restart the game.

If the steps from above didn't work, try this fix instead:

1. Download the mod from #🔨base-gamma-support message
2. In Mod Organizer 2, click on File -> Install mod
3. Find wherever you saved the Jubs_Low_Texture_Red_Dots.rar file.
4. Click “OK”. Name it however you want. It will be at the very end of the mod list.
5. Enable this mod.

moddb is not designed to let you rapid fire download hundreds of mods, it's very common to have a couple that fail out. the launcher skips over properly downloaded mods and will try to fetch the missing ones. let it work

• Completely disable your antivirus software for the duration of installation. Do not enable it again until you have a working install. For more information, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !antivirus;
• Exclude both your Anomaly and Gamma folders in Windows Defender. To learn how to do this, go to #🤖bot-commands and type !defender;
• Once the above steps are done, ensure you have the latest launcher as seen in #💽how-to-update and start it as administrator.

If the above steps still do not solve your issue, then verify your hosts file by going to #🤖bot-commands and typing !hosts. If that still does not work then connect to a VPN and try again.

4. Open your MO2 and check if you have any red crosses, make sure that you have #📍577-mods-in-mo2.

This procedure does not remove saves, you're not going to re-download everything from scratch and it will not delete your progress, your saves are safe.
The launcher will simply check every mod in the pack, reinstall or fix them if you have red crosses and any mod that need to be updated - will be updated.

• In case you want to save your in-game settings and modlist (because the launcher will revert them back to default), type !backup in #🤖bot-commands.
• If you wish to keep Reshade, disable the last checkbox before clicking Install / Update G.A.M.M.A..

3. If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you can enable Triple Buffering, and set Low Latency Mode to Ultra in NVIDIA control panel
4. Open Anomaly Launcher via MO2 and tick Prefetch sounds
5. If you have a beefy GPU, use Anomaly (DX11) (no avx)
6. Don't use the Turn this on if you stutter mod

Hey man, just wanted to update you that I actually managed to find a backup folder for save games and was able to revert back. I couldn't find further ways to fix the memory issue when loading into the most recent save but just thought I'd share with you. This is in context that I use Soulslike Hardcore which forces only 1 save.

Is there any way to stage the moddb downloaded zip files in a different folder/drive? I was thinking of storing them on an external drive since many of them very rarely receive updates. I know that just moving them elsewhere or outright deleting them will cause them to be redownloaded the next time gamma gets updated. Moving them back and forth all the time is an option but I was curious if there was an alternative.

AVX is a way for your CPU to do calculations on a large array of data simultaneously. This is the same kind of job GPUs are primarily meant for.
So if your GPU is decent, AVX is (in most cases) outclassed by the GPU itself. Best way to know which is better for you, personally, is to try both versions and see what does or doesn't crash/performs better.

Remove FOV change on equipping pistols:

If you crash upon changing your resolution in game, you can change it before launching the game. In Anomaly/appdata/user.ltx look for the vid_mode line and change it to the resolution you like.

There's 2 mods called "Monster Unstucker", one's a 3rd party I suppose and one's a GAMMA mod directly. I think they're used when the mutants get stuck on rocks/trees/whatever but it also seems to give the issue of short range teleportation on uneven ground cause the game thinks they're clipping into the terrain. Just disable those mods and that should fix it, it did for me atleast
